Good news! Livecoin.net regained receiving of Namecoin.

Can't rely on Livecoin deposits, they say 6 confirms, and then it takes over 20 confirms until the funds are added to your account and they say "it's not our problem, it's the network"

Is that a new exchange ..I don't see it listed on coinmarketcap? Livecoin has higest volume still even if its a pathetic amount.

Yup using latest version 3.3.6 on windows (have tried every type) and cannot connect to anything.I have ran electrum versions of other altcoins and bitcoin while waiting and they all work no problem.Issue lies solely with the namecoin client.

Seems like todays crypto is shiting on everyone that doesent want to play their game,game of CZ,bitfinex, craig wright and the others.if we look at the top projects nowdays they arent better then this one,they just have a lot of money so they can use it to advertise 0-24,got listed on 100 exchanges,and cheat people(i am not talking about BTC).projects like this will stay here in the dark untill all this shit goes to hell,i rly hope tether will fall one day soon.also binance.many people will know what i am talking about.i actualy found out this coin have a same troubles like peer coin(both crypto pioneers),i am following both but i am not investing,untill people start to think different,and start to invest in rly value.the only thing that u can do i guess is keep doing what u r doing,and wait.

Namecoin's first commit was in August of 2009 and has had contributions from notable Bitcoin core devs such as @gavinandresen, @TheBlueMatt, @jgarzik, @pwuille.Satoshi proposed BitDNS which became namecoin.In fact one of his last posts on http://bitcointalk.org  was supporting the idea of Namecoin/BitDNS and recommending improvements to it.

Namecoin has done nothing only lose value against Bitcoin since it's first inception.Its economic model is its achilles heel.

I downloaded the NMC wallet to encourage the network. Are you planning to update the current wallet? The version looks a bit old, but works very well.

Which version did you download?  Namecoin Core is kept up-to-date with latest Bitcoin changes, and the latest version v0.18.0 is on par with Bitcoin 0.18.0.

There is also an old version based on 0.13, but with a beta patch to allow name management through the UI.  If you use that version, then yes, it is old - but unfortunately you either have to stick with the old version for now if you need UI name management, or you can upgrade to the latest version and use the CLI or RPC interfaces for name management.

If your main goal is to support the network without handling names yourself, then please go with the latest 0.18.0 version.

Electrum still working fine for me. No volume anywhere, but you might as well try to put up some sell (or buy) orders and see what happens. Southxchange is probably a good option.

Hi,thanks for your response.I am running Version 3.3.6 and have set server to automatically grab a connection and it fails.I have also manually selected each server and nothing connects.I run various electrum clients for bitcoin and numerous altcoins and they all connect without fail.The issue is solely with namecoin client.

These are a list of servers available shown below.If you have other servers you are connecting maybe you can post them here so I can attempt to add them through the executable files.TIA

I checked https://1209k.com/bitcoin-eye/ele.php?chain=nmc and it shows 2 servers up and running but after trying installer,portable version,standalone ....Nothing works and wallet won't connect to anything
