21  Economy / Economics / Re: Working smart vs working hard - an ultimate guide on: March 24, 2018, 04:14:59 PM
This is a sequel to this thread. If you are interested only in the fat of the thread and the cream of the theme, look no further than this and the second post here.

Many people say that you should work hard if you want to succeed in life and rise to riches. I'd rather say that working hard will only make your boss richer, not yourself. On the other hand, there is an age-old adage which says that you should be working smarter, not harder. But working smarter is a vague idea, and I'm interested to hear what people have to say on this topic. As far as I'm concerned, I think that working smart comes down to creating environment where you will have more chances to meet Lady Luck smiling at you, where you will be able to hit a lucky strike because luck plays an ever-important role in our lives. For example, if you want to find a date to have a romantic relationship with or you are looking for a one-night stand only, you will go to a beach or a bar since your chances are higher there, right? The same approach seems to be applicable to work as well. In other words, stick around the places where your chances of success are the highest.

So share your opinions here, guys. What is your practical take on working smart?

In the beginning you will have to work hard only to arrange some money. Thereafter, it is time to act smart by making that money work for you.
22  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Dogecoin is the new Bitcoin on: March 24, 2018, 04:13:03 PM
Guys I think that Dogecoin really is the new Bitcoin.
Think about it.
- meme proof
- high supply
- low fees
- capable devs
- stability, no political power struggle
- huge fanbase, reallife usecase
- community
- big wow, very profit, much coin -> solid branding

So Dogecoin will become the biggest crypto within a year or so.
Otherwise Loomdart will refund.

Good luck with the choice. I do not think that any other alt coin will even touch $5000 except ethereum in next 5 years.
23  Economy / Economics / Re: I want to invest more of what I don't have (money) on: March 24, 2018, 04:08:05 PM
I want to invest a few more thousands into eos, iota, and aion for the win. Too bad it will take me a few more weeks. I am so drained lol. Anyone else thinking like this? So motivated to invest. But lacking the funds.

Better focus on right things first, you should look for ways to increase your income. And also keep good amount of savings for emergency situations.
24  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will touch 20K USD end of 2018. What you think ? on: March 24, 2018, 04:05:33 PM
This is my own opinion that Bitcoin will touch 20K USD end of 2018. What your thought about it ?

You are expecting only $20000 by the end of this year. I am expecting at least $40000 and it will surely cross this much in my opinion. It has failed to deliver this year so far but it will improve.
25  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should I invest In Bitcoin? on: March 24, 2018, 03:57:05 PM
Should I Invest In Bitcoin?

This was asked in 2017 end and the prices have not grown thereafter so much. It will not be as profitable as 2017 but you can expect 3x to 4x returns this year as well.
26  Economy / Economics / Re: HODL mentality destroys the currency aspect of Bitcoin on: March 24, 2018, 03:53:34 PM
It seems like only a small fraction of bitcoins as well as other cryptocurrencies gets earned while the vast majority of the coins are bought. But when people buy coins, they obviously aim exclusively at selling them later at a higher price, which is what speculation basically consists in because it makes no economic sense to buy a cryptocurrency to spend it on goods when people can easily spend fiat instead. However, if the price goes down, people aren't going to spend their coins either. And whenever someone complains about prices going down, the only reply they receive is just to hold to their precious bitcoins, no matter what the price could or would be. I have yet to meet anyone telling these bag holders to spend their stashes on something useful.

Apparently, the HODL mentality kills the currency aspect of Bitcoin.

It is one of the biggest problems with bitcoins, it is not being used as a payment medium. Even the developers did not invented it to be used for investment purpose only.
27  Economy / Economics / Re: In case you're interested on: March 24, 2018, 03:31:53 PM
I just noticed that the banning of cryptocurrency is mostly happened in Asia specially, China and SoKor. And European countries proclaimed that bitcoin is legal as well as USA and other countries in America. Crypto enthusiasts affect much by the g20 summit and I think whatever result will happens, there is always a positive in crypto.

This has to do with the politicians here not being much aware of technological fields. If they just show more interest, their opinion might change.
28  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Has bitcoin price reached its peak? on: March 24, 2018, 03:20:52 PM
Japan has become one of the largest markets in the world for cryptocurrencies. Trading in bitcoin-Japanese yen accounted for about 57.6 percent of total bitcoin trading volume, according to CryptoCompare.

Japanese authorities recognized bitcoin as legal tender last April and require cryptocurrency exchanges to register with the government. Sixteen exchanges have done so, March 7, reported by FuninUSA.

Hong Kong-based Binance was operating in Japan through the internet without a license for a virtual currency exchange. Recently, Japan’s Financial Services Agency issued a warning Friday to major cryptocurrency exchange Binance for operating without registration in the country.

Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao confirmed receipt of the warning, tweeting: "Our lawyers called JFSA immediately, and will find a solution.” Reported in FuninUSA, Zhao has once expressed that the company tried to get a license in Japan but has decided to remove its staff from its office.

Bitcoin traded 3.4 percent lower near $8,417, according to CoinDesk at 10:20 a.m. ET. As you know, this price is nearly half the price when bitcoin hit its highest price last year.

With the stricter regulation of cryptocurrency, what do you think is the trend of bitcoin price? Also, what’s the possibility that bitcoin would become a prevalent method of payment? Huh

I do not think we had seen the peak yet. These figures might look quite big seeing the prices from where it started but it also took 8 years to happen.
29  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are the advantages of having Bitcoin? on: March 18, 2018, 03:38:29 PM
The only thing I know about Bitcoin is that it is a virtual 'money' but what are the other use of it? What are your advantages for having a bitcoin?  Roll Eyes

There are a lot of benefits of using bitcoins. For instance, it is much more anonymous in comparison to PayPal where you have to give some documents while opening an account.
30  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why will Bitcoin Rise Again? on: March 18, 2018, 03:31:58 PM
BTC is struggling. Many people are bullish that it will be strong in 2018.

For those who think that, why do you think that is the case when fees are so high and send times so slow?

Bitcoin will rise because a lot of alt coins will get wiped out with time. People will realize that it is better to invest in bitcoins as they have rising for last 8 years.
31  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: several ways to earn Bitcoin on: March 18, 2018, 03:21:36 PM
BitcoinTalk Signature Campaigns
The BitcoinTalk Forum Signature campaign pays for users to write posts on the BitcoinTalk forum which includes a product campaign in the signature. Payment levels depend on your membership level on the BitcoinTalk forum, with very little Bitcoin being available for users that aren’t a full member of the forum (to obtain full membership, you need at least 120 posts). Most campaigns also have certain requirements for posters, such as a minimum word limit or a requirement that no advertisements are directly included in posts. In addition, some campaigns may include a minimum and/or a maximum weekly post count.

These are the easiest option for people who d not want to make any investment to earn bitcoins. However, you need to make quality posts here now so that you can get a higher rank.
32  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is It Serious, I Started To Worry...... on: March 18, 2018, 03:14:09 PM
Now I feel worried about the future of bitcoin and crypto in general because every time there was a price correction I saw most people are not worried about the price and they all had the same opinion about it, they all said to wait and hold your coins or buy new more, but now I see that there are different opinions about it, that makes me really afraid of what happens now.

is it serious guys that it is over or what?

Just hold bitcoins for six months or so and it will be back to $20000 level. Do not buy anymore if you are worried about price correction in near future.
33  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Homeless use Bitcoin on: March 18, 2018, 03:02:01 PM
I really cannot decide my emotions on this, should I laugh or feel happy that this is really happening. It is impossible to see a similar thing happening in my country.
34  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do not invest in bitcoin if you don't know anything about it on: February 27, 2018, 05:40:57 PM
This advice applies to all good forms of investments like stocks. If someone is not ready to research about these, he should go for bank deposits.
35  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin replace gold? on: February 27, 2018, 05:05:31 PM
There is no comparison between the two. I think gold has the advantage that a lot of people have developed trust on it over the years.
36  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Vladimir Putin says the blockchain-race is on on: February 27, 2018, 04:56:17 PM
There's a video circulating around Crypto regarding this very same quote, though the thing is that the quote came from July of maybe one year ago? So this whole bullish crypto news thing isn't new, it's old news which people are trying to push for again to try to swing the market around. Sadly, I'm not surprised by this sort of behavior in crypto.

I hope the newbies notice this before they buy in.

Are you suggesting that this is still not the right time to buy bitcoins ? We should wait for prices to go down further ?
37  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Prediction bitcoin in the future on: February 27, 2018, 04:41:15 PM
How Is Bitcoin In The Future?
The number of altcoin that popping up sometimes for me to think how  bitcoin 10 years from now Huh Is it still exist or has been replaced with a new type of better currency ? Many altcoins can now be traded with local currency and other altcoins and are not fixated on bitcoins.
Question:
1. What is your Prediction ?
2. And what the reason ?

Maybe that's what I want to ask , hopefully the answer can answer the question in my brain. thanks  Smiley

If it still exists after 10 years, we will see the prices to the level of $200000 or so. Also, we would have seen a lot of improvements in terms of transfer fees.
38  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sell your house for investment in btc. on: February 27, 2018, 04:26:45 PM
Just imagine selling your $259,900 house for 43BTC and 2 Months in street.

and after just 2 months sell 43BTC for $498198.

Again buying the previous also you will be in profit of $472298.

would you try this technique.
This is too risky for people with family. I think one should only invest the savings in bitcoins, that also after leaving family expenses.
39  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why does certain people called Bitcoin as bubble investment? on: February 27, 2018, 04:10:34 PM
Since we all know that currently, the price of BTC is unstable. So there are certain articles call Bitcoin as bubble investment. May I know the reason why does it called a bubble? Why is that term is used in Bitcoin?

There thinking is affected by past schemes that had similar behavior. They could not digest that people were able to double or triple their money in few months with bitcoin investment.
40  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 20 year old girl with 300 bitcoin, still in a pity situation. on: February 27, 2018, 03:47:29 PM
This is why I do not share my financial information with anyone. I have just told my mother about these investments so that she can get the money if something happens to me.
