21  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] [EU] 2x FusionSilicon X2 multi algo miner, 600 EUR each on: February 04, 2022, 05:54:45 PM
Plus it's not a great time for me to buy more miners right now...
Just the equipment similar to what TS offers, you need to buy at low prices. If you wait for a bull market, then the price will be much accordingly higher.

Prices aren't dropping this bear market though. Freaking S19 is still $8500! That's like two years or so until the break even point.

Crypto is extremely volatile. Of course hardware doesnt drop immediately after a drop in price - if prices stay suppressed for several weeks/months the hardware pricing will follow.
If you want to take advantage of the dips you should buy Crypto - not hardware.
In the last cycle of bear, I bought several Asics at the price of metal, almost like kg. So by buying hardware you are investing in the future.

This is of course assuming you can get them from people dumping them - I would never suggest to not take advantage of such a good deal.
But in general, during small short-term dips, you wont see people selling off hardware so cheaply.

24  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB] old school ASIC on: January 18, 2022, 06:00:57 PM
I've got some original USB ASICminer Block Erupters.  Haven't thought about them in a while or have any idea if they're worth anything.  I think they sold for 1-2 BTC originally back in the day.  I'd take a fraction of that now, unless you're one of the 1 BTC equals 1 BTC guys, then I'll happily accept the original Bitcoin price for them.  Smiley

I've got some of the original Butterfly Labs FPGA miners as well, although you did not mention mining hardware that old school.  Good luck with your search!

I'm interested in the BFL gear assuming its still functional.

Well, he stopped replying and the escrow agent said he'll give back the funds.

Based on this experience, I would not recommend op's sales services.
Lesson learned once again: Stay safe and always use escrow!

update: I have received my funds back from escrow.

I have left a neutral feedback on this user pointing back to this thread; if you found the transaction to be particularly questionable I'm more than happy to upgrade that to negative.

All signs point to a bad actor however I didnt interact with them myself.

I'm still with neutral feelings for this,
but let's just say that there was a surprising hickup after I made tx using escrow.

29  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTS 4 units Z11 in US on: January 03, 2022, 06:02:54 PM
I’m selling 4 Z11 located in ATL. They are in good shape. $2000 each

Can you provide pictures to define "good shape"?
30  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Anyone want an antminer S19 Pro 110th/s ? on: January 03, 2022, 05:59:51 PM
Got one for sell:
antminer S19 Pro
110th/s With PSU

3500 USD

I'm in Ca, escrow Minerjones if you like pm me.

Wait. Ca = Cali or Canada?

Jeebus. The one day I don't check this page religiously I smoking deal comes up.
Unless Nasituygun's account got hacked? Seems to good to be true. But he's offering escrow, so...

No posts / activity in years.
User mainly posts on the Turkish boards, suddenly the account spamming the Signature Campaign threads in English.
Now lives in "Ca".
Stats hidden.

Either he awoke from a long rest and is suddenly selling a device for ~1/3 of market price or its a scam.
I assume he'll say "well we don't need escrow if we're both high rated...."

So much industry experience, can you tell us your storefront and physical location so we can see your customer reviews?

Are you planning to sell here using escrow or via your own payment channels?

Custom fw providers and cgminer copies also do not share their source code like cgminer license requires.
-snip-

I've admittedly never dug into the GPLv3 and I'm not a lawyer but maybe its not worth (financially) pursuing the various breaks that have actually occurred?
Though a large company like Bitmain copying it seems more egregious.

It's all gone to shit is a good way to describe it.
I remember a long time ago seeing conversations just about bfgminer, didnt think it would spiral into this.
33  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Users removing dev fee from CGMiner clones on: December 21, 2021, 02:54:46 PM
Recently users have been able to remove the dev fee from "custom" firmwares (that everyone knows are modified versions of cgminer).
Some are even keeping the exact appearance and substituting in their own dev fee information instead.
This second practice of changing the "legitimate" dev fee information with this actors details seems far more malicious to me than removing the fee entirely.
To take it a step further users are even removing the fee and then reselling the firmware with the dev fee removed.

At what point do these alterations of the firmware begin to cross lines?
Or does the "custom" firmwares existence in the first place already cross any existing lines?

Thoughts?
34  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Selling Miners. Discount for wholesale orders. on: December 07, 2021, 07:39:24 PM
At what point does a thread with a user bumping their posts with links to attempt transactions outside of this platform qualify to be removed?
35  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: DragonMint T1 16TH/S halongmining.com on: November 16, 2021, 10:59:21 PM
Hi all,
A n00b to crypto mining that got a Dragonmint T1 off ebay, mostly to try out mining and to learn a bit, seems like it should be more fun than just buying crypro. however I do think i should have bought an S9!
Thanks to Biffa i have advanced the firmware a bit

not sure if the original was a hacked one or just original but was pretty primitive and would not connect to nicehash (yeh i know, but as i said new and shiny and just learning and its SUPPOSED to be easy right?)  or show version numbers and fan ran at 100% all the time which was painful.
While things have improved its still not connecting, is the T1 just obsolete now and won't connect? do i need a diffrent pool?

I tried Braiins, but they no longer support the T1 and i haven't been able to work out if there is an old version that will still work and if there is where to actually find it.
Assume i am doing something simple wrong but struggling so far.

I got an old laptop mining (waste of electricity but proof of concept to me) so not compleatly useless but at a loss to this one... any bright ideals?
Mole

What status do you get? Is it only the pool throwing you issues?
36  Economy / Goods / Re: Magic - Wizards of the Coast cards for Sale on: November 03, 2021, 04:54:00 PM

Can you be more specific? Are you intending to sell all at once?
37  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] [WORLD] 3L3+ ++ NO CLOWN no time waste. Hosted to Cryptoboreas on: November 03, 2021, 03:02:18 PM
L3’s really going for that much? I would sell 3 of em for half that lol

I often sell refurbished L3+ w/ brand new PSUs for around the 1500-1600 mark, shipped.

Market on  L3+ right now is floating around the 1200-1300 in decent condition.
Maybe 1100 if it was dropped down some stairs.
Even broken, fully nonfunctional units are 700+.

crazy I guess if profitability goes up no sense in anyone having a miner that roi's in less than 2 years.

an L3++ at current price/difficulty and with 5 cent per kw/h is only earning 1.40 per day give or take a few cents. so that is about 510 a year. at 1500 that is 3 years to ROI crazy how people buy miners with zero understanding that at those prices they will never break even unless the diff drops or the coin climbs exponentially - in which case they would fare better to just buy the coin and hodl.

Are you purposefully ignoring merged mining profits in your calculations?
Currently an L3++ is just over $9 a day in earnings, L3+ (not overclocked) is at ~$8 before electricity.

sorry not on purpose no.  I just didnt think about that. I was looking at the LTC only. but yes, it is higher with the merged mining. so at $8 per day and at 1500 its almost 200 days to ROI. a lot better. Guess I got lucky when buying mine for $50

I have 3 L3++'s, 3 BWL21's, and one Innosilicon A6 (got that one for a steal on ebay for $100) and a Futurebit Apollo mining scrypt atm.

I have some private customers who are still looking to add to their current farms - if you're ever interested in moving any of these units let me know.
I didn't want to spend the aftermarket rates to get my hands on one of the Futurebits but they seem like great little machines.
38  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTB Antminer S1 Control Board. on: November 03, 2021, 02:20:54 PM
I have S1 parts for sale.

This is a 4 year old post, if you want to actively sell I would probably make a new thread.

I havent checked if there is any market for S1 parts nowadays.
