Russian Central Bank Signals Support for Cryptocurrency Ban

https://dcebrief.com/russian-central-bank-signals-support-for-cryptocurrency-ban/

Tough time for crypto or, business as usual?

I'm not surprised a spokesperson for the Russian Central Bank would be vocal against cryptocurrency and saying they would support a ban, it doesn't amount to a whole lot. The choice to call them private cryptocurrencies or consider them legal tender is a bit strange to me. Of course ICO and other variants are certainly not the same as crypto.

The money laundering issue is a moot point, unless they are going to ban all forms of exchange that can be used for money laundering and most if not all of them are inferior to crypto in terms of traceability given the right tools. The volatility I can certainly understand in terms of it being used for reliable exchange of products and services.

Smiley Hello DNotes!

Its been a while. Just dropping in on my oldest favorite coin community. Amazing after all these years DNotes has sure stood the test of time. And not by accident! Great team here.

Was out checking exchanges and am impressed with the coin price, especially in today's crypto world.

Just had to stop in and say hello!  Wink

Hope everyone is doing well as always.

MMNC Smiley

PS: I still have some DNotes safely stashed away in my Vault.  Cool

Thanks MMNC, always glad to hear from you. Thank you for stopping by and for the kind words! We are still working hard for the future of DNotes.

I have now remembered that there had not been any update on DNotes coin itself for some time now.

Is development of the coin halted for the time being, at least until the sufficient funding is secured? Or are there also some activities which are currently in progress also with the DNotes coin itself? I must say that one of the great features/upgrades which I am really looking forward to is cold staking Cool

Correct, we're focused on HERo membership in terms of development and marketing currently, as that is where our efforts are most effective for the future of DNotes and DNotes Global. Agreed, on cold staking, we are looking forward to that upgrade as well.

The best, thanks again for fast response. So as I assumed, future od DNotes really depends much on the success of HERo. Even more reasons to cheer for it success and help by sharing its' posts on social media and sharing the word  Smiley Will try to do my best to help Wink

Appreciate it Amadeus! Yes, absolutely, any help we can get spreading the word about HERo will be very helpful for all of us.

HERo is a global initiative and there are parts of this world that need much more help than others. HERo can make a significant impact around the globe by creating a collaborative environment and making the tools, knowledge, and help available. I think this is a good opportunity to note for our supporters that HERo is for everyone and not let identity politics sway your judgement on what HERo is all about. Together we can accomplish far greater things than going it alone and that is the concept we will be practicing and promoting.

We have grown even in the last few days with a dozen members, some free and some paid, another dozen who have agreed to sign up when available, and an additional expert upgrade request. Some have started to share HERo membership on their social media and start spreading the word. Some are interested to be contributors for the HERo main site as well https://nextgenhero.io/HERo_Contributor_Kit.pdf. That is the result of actively communicating and working with hundreds of people, countless hours, as well as all of the ground work we have done to get to this point, and that is what it will take to start growing this platform.

I do think 250 members by years end is in reach. It's possible we may spend more time on building partnerships with groups and influential people or entities if the opportunities arise, which take some time, so I don't want to make any hard commitments based solely on the member count.

That is truly great news! Thanks for sharing this. It makes my DNotes investor heart happy Smiley

Oh, and still a happy customer with the trading bot!

Thank you wiser! Glad to hear you are still making good use of the trading bot!

To those who control the fate of DNotes, I come to you today with a few questions that are far beyond my abilities to surmise answers for. We've witnessed a gradual degradation in value, and any popular support that DNotes once enjoyed appears to have vanished. If I were to use a metaphor to characterize the DNotes blockchain it would likely involve tumbleweeds.

If Next Gen Hero was supposed to be the best thing for DNotes, then why haven't any results come to fruition? Should we expect to see results in the near future? In July you were touting close contact with thousands of women who wanted to participate in HERO; what is your conversion rate on these leads into current paid memberships?

Given your current revenue and expenditures, approximately how far away from bankruptcy is DNotes Global (in months)? I would feel easy in assuming that since you are giving us no metric to guage the success of the DNotes ecosystem other than the exchange rate, that the whole venture is an abysmal failure. Please correct me if I am wrong, and feel free to address each point individually without the use of worn out tropes.

As with all things, success doesn't happen over night, HERo membership is no exception and will take a great deal of work to make it successful. Our outreach with HERo membership has been limited to date, playing catch up after wrapping up this summers priorities and putting all of our ducks in a row to begin our campaign. Such as live beta testing, fixing bugs, our initial attempt to get some activity going in order to get the demo video and ensure it is not barren for new members as we get them to sign up.

We currently have 63 members, 9 experts, one service provider, and one group. Along with some content, questions, and training courses. It's a good start for getting the membership platform going, but not data that can be used to measure the success rate of HERo membership.

We have also been invited to the Women for Global Change National Conference "Limitless", which we will be attending as media and to represent HERo.

Over the next few months we will be able to get a better reading how well it is received.

I appreciate the honesty, and apologize for being uncouth in the last post. If you would care to publicly speculate on the matter, is HERO having 250 members by year's end or early next year an attainable expectation?

All criticism aside, HERO is a wonderful initiative that may change a lot of lives in the future. There are still countries in this world where women are forced into slavery or prostitution; largely in part because they and their communities are economically destitute, isolated from higher knowledge, and devoid of any legitimate opportunity.

Thank you Iron_Eagle1. I just came across the post below, which was posted by Alan in March. The initial plan for HERo was to sign up 10.000 members and 100 service providers, and after that 1,000,000 members and 1,000 service providers in 5 years.

Since there are currently 63 members, 9 experts, one service provider, and one group (do the math with the numbers above)...and there doesn't seem that countless herds of woman would be rushing to sign up...I was wondering if the initial plan was too optimistic? Shocked If so, what would be "plan B"? Is there any solid strategic plan to get to those numbers or at least close to them? Considering that further development of DNotes coin will greatly depend on success of HERo, I am the same as Iron_Eagle1 a little worried Undecided I know that HERo is stil in beta, but signing up for membership is fully operational and functional for some time now.

Make no mistake, I still support you (many times even being the only person liking and sharing some of the HERo, DceBrief and DNotes Twitter and LinkedIn posts) and hope for better times, but it seems that DNotes is getting lost in its own endless complications and devices, while competition is overtaking us from both sides Undecided

From DNotes Telegram:

Quote from Denver Dan today 3-26-19

Alan, I was wondering if you could elaborate a little more on the connection between Hero and DNotes as a currency. As I've read through the Hero website, the purpose is to support female participation in digital currency and female ran businesses. (generally speaking) The Hero model appears to be a central hub for promoting this. How does this connect with the use of DNotes as a currency? Are partners paid/paying/integrating DNotes into their business? Are there specific things that directly link DNotes currency to Hero?

Quote from Alan Yong:

HERo, formerly CryptoMoms, is an integral part of DNotes strategic vision since April 2014 - to build an inclusive trusted digital currency that is purposeful with world-changing implications. We have held steadfast to the belief that mass adoption of digital currency is not achievable without the full participation of women, as they control more than one half of the global assets and buying power.

HERo is turning out to be our dream come true. Its mission has been expanded to include all the women of the world with focus in technology, finance, fintech, and entrepreneurship – covering all ages, almost 4 billion of the global population. We are the only one doing this at this scale. Other crypto women, and female blockchain groups (mostly quite small) are delighted to support us or partner with us. Yes, we are the global hub for women worldwide. That is a massive market for DNotes.

Doing the right thing at the right time is crucial.  I am old schooled and strongly believe that it is best to earn it than shaft something down one’s throat.

Any one impressed by HERo will learn about its connection with DNotes and DNotes Global. We have that covered with a very large Internet foot-print and published materials. We will be promoting DNotes to our supporters and target market. This will include a campaign to introduce them to DNotesVault and CRISP Reward.

We are working hard to include a membership platform based on a one time stet-up fees $30. This platform will showcase product and service providers, who will be paying a monthly listing fees of $50. Our initial target is to sign up 10,000 members and 100 service providers. Our five-year goal is to sign up 1,000,000 members and 1,000 service providers.

We will be accepting DNotes as payment and expect our supporters to do the same. DNotesPay will be promoted as the ideal payment solution for micropayment.

Read the DNotes Story. Despite a depressed market, we continue to execute and advance. HERo is our first business unit to scale globally. From our vantage point, things are looking great.

I am totally swamped. If you have any other questions, I am counting on Tim to answer them.

Hey Amadeus, no worries you are always welcome to ask questions. We appreciate your support!

Our goals are always optimistic and there are always alternatives to accomplish our mission, but alternatives are not even a consideration at this point when we have barely even scratched the surface of promoting it. The only alternatives we are considering are different approaches to get people to join. HERo, if reaches the level of success we are hoping for, it will be slower at the start and as more people join it will accelerate. That's an important concept for adoption of anything, it starts with a small amount and accelerates slowly, and as more adoption occurs adoption accelerates. I don't know or recall the entire story behind facebook, but you can imagine it was a handful of college kids for a long time, then it was a handful of colleges for a while, and so on.

Telegram Asks Court to Deny SEC’s Gram-Related Injunction

https://dcebrief.com/telegram-asks-court-to-deny-secs-gram-related-injunction/

This will be interesting to watch as it unfolds and compare to Ethereum. My understanding was that the Grams were sold to verified accredited investors only under a Reg D like exception. Telegram then claiming once the platform is released, those Grams would be distributed and now be utility tokens to be used on their platform, much like Ethereum. Once they are distributed and land on exchanges everyone will be able to buy and sell them, not just accredited investors. Interested to see if this logic will hold up.

Dnotes is one of my crypto heartbreaks.
Love this project, have a big bag, and just hate to see it doing so poorly in the markets.

Is there anything on the horizon that can bring some good attention to this project?

Hi CryptoJohn,

Yes, in fact we have just completed our video introduction to HERo membership.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sN1TV_ZE728

This platform is multi-purpose and was created to fulfill some of our most important needs, while driving the mission of bridging the gender participation gap in entrepreneurship, technology, fintech, blockchain etc... The highest priority being revenue and funding for the company it needs to progress, while also growing our potential reach and exposure.

What's going on with the BTC/NOTE pair on Mercatox?

Completely stopped trading, crashed the price just when we were eking out some upward momentum. Back to all time lows.

Any plans to develop more exchange relationships? NOTE needs more than just Mercatox listing, right?

Not sure, maybe just a glitch? I don't see a crash in the history on Mercatox, so I assume it was a temporary problem.

Currently our primary exchanges are STEX and Mercatox. Being on more smaller exchanges will not have a significant impact, especially when considering the cost of listing on many of the small exchanges. They generally don't bring you traffic or exposure or volume, or even 'cred'. The smaller exchanges are only active when there are significant arbitrage opportunities or where there are larger exchanges leading, so there is no value added at this time. There may come a time when that does make sense, when DNotes is on an upswing of participation and price, to help the momentum and give us the extra push needed to get on the larger exchanges. Right now it would just be an additional burden to worry about.

A larger and more credible exchange, such as binance, is highly desirable, but those exchanges aren't going to list us without significantly more support and/or significant funds.

Our focus is revenue, funding, and growing our potential user base. All of which will aid in the exchange issue and HERo is the platform that will create the opportunity to grow in all of those areas.

This all makes complete sense. Thanks for the color. I get the big exchange stuff, I mean look at the Digibyte founder unloading at Binance on Twitter the other day, RE: the fees they demanded to be listed. That makes sense.

But didn't see the smaller exchange listing logic as you laid it out. Make sense, especially from a defocusing point of view.

I think it would be a good risk mitigation measure to have at least one other tracked exchange listing DNotes. Mercatox bug one day, cut the price by 50%. Perhaps good to have another one, to mitigate scenarios like this in future, imo. So it's not some big strategic endeavor that takes time from more pressing dev tasks. But rather just a line item task/tactic to provide some downside protection.

We can certainly relate to some of the things Jared has mentioned, and then some. After ICO's started to hit the market it became all about the listing fees, it doesn't matter if it's a decentralized coin, if it raised funds through an ICO etc...

STEX is also reported to CMC, you may just not see that under the CMC NOTE listing as we often don't have enough volume there for CMC's minimum volumes. If that's the concern that only one is listed on CMC, the answer would be to get more people who support DNotes actively trading on STEX.

As of the last time I contacted each of the exchanges, the reasonable ones were around 2 BTC listing pair, many of which are now closed or have disappeared. Open to suggestions.

It is great to see Hero now in live beta. Currently we are building content for the members site, and releasing a few articles for our various web properties, and we will be pushing very hard to bring in paying members after a couple of weeks of operating in live beta to ensure no issues with the functionality of the site (which is looking great).

The resources will be very helpful for women (and anyone) who wants to learn more about business, upskill in areas needed to succeed in business, and people who want to mentor one another, or purchase services from those whose skills they require.

I am looking forward to see the development of the page and paying members coming onboard.

Btw., do you intend to advertise site and membership also outside HERo and DCEBrief pages? I am afraid that without advertising it will be hard to reach out to potential members and get high number of active memberships Undecided

I know that Alan was saying that there is a great interest in the page and membership, but as we had seen in first round of financing, there can be quite a big difference between interest and actual engagement Undecided However, of course I wish you all the best and hope that site will attract great many members Wink

There are a couple of directions we are going to use for marketing HERo membership. From direct marketing as Alan has mentioned, paid advertising, to affiliate marketing and partnering with similar groups/events/conferences to cross promote. From there, we need to evolve by branching out to events and sub chapters to grow rapidly.

If you haven't gone in recently I recommend checking it out. It is starting to populate nicely.

We are working on a video presentation for the membership landing page, so that people will be able to understand the capabilities of HERo membership.

Starting in early October, we will be fully live and in full promotional mode.

HERo Membership Live

HERo membership is now in live beta. We welcome everyone to sign up and start using the platform. Let us know any issues or suggestions you may have to make it a better platform by clicking the Need Help link at the bottom of the membership page or emailing contact@nextgenhero.io.

I have signed up and for now everything is working perfectly Smiley

Did you get a lot of feedback and do you expect that you will have to change a lot of things? When do you expect to go out of Beta and fully launch membership platform?

Hey guys, fun to see this getting off the ground. I registered and went to pay with Dnotes. All my Dnotes are at DNotesVault, so I initiated a withdrawal from the Vault to the address given to me on HERo.

But the withdrawal is 24-48 hours, and HERo is nearly done with a 15 minute counter.

Any plans to integrate payment from the two sites? Or am I doing it wrong (likely).

Appreciate it MiningHabit!

I have activated your account. Those two wouldn't exactly play nicely together as of yet because of DNotesVault delay and security. But eventually that will absolutely be a goal to have integrate with our existing tools and infrastructure, they do need some major upgrades in to make that feasible and secure.
