21  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How can bitcoin be used in shops, if payments take so long to process? on: June 15, 2015, 01:08:21 PM
I think a system would have to be developed to make the process faster. What really can be done is to actually have a card-swapping type of system. User will have to enter his credentials in a machine and enter the payment amount. Then after authorization, shop owner can collect his payments from coinbase, localbitcoins or any platform. In short, coinbase, localbitcoins will actually work as a bank and can have small fees for their services.

That would be pretty complicating. The whole point of decentralized currency is that it is decentralized. If we bring in card swapping, or any other kind of banking stuff, then how will it remain decentralized. It will ultimately become a controlled currency.

Simple exploitation. Complicated mechanism.
23  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin has entered Wall street officially? on: June 14, 2015, 04:40:53 AM
It was a hype, its not coming to wall street officially. They have their own market called medici!
24  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it better to save money or invest it? on: June 14, 2015, 04:38:04 AM
Investing money= risk of losing money/getting a good return from investment. (Risky)
Bank is secure investment but in long term, it doesn't increase. Inflation, duh. Invest in bitcoin.
25  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin isn’t the future of money — it’s either a Ponzi scheme on: June 13, 2015, 05:13:04 PM
Oh the good old days when journalists know whatever the hell they were writing. This is just plain stupid. Bitcoin can change lives and has more appliances than just merely buying drugs online. I'd use it more often if it was accepted more often
26  Economy / Economics / Re: Economy vs EARTH how will be the future? on: June 13, 2015, 05:05:23 PM
Elon musk has plans to colonise mars and other planets and has already started extensive work which seems really promising.

Conquering another planet is rational as resources another earth won't last forever.

Seems more details can be added to the graph.

29  Other / Politics & Society / Re: WW3 is only a matter of time. on: June 13, 2015, 04:33:39 PM
World war 3 can take place generally if a largely populated country craves dominating another country.

Wars between India and Pakistan has been a possibility ad their is a lot of tension between them like always. Their nuclear power is at the same par too as Pakistan has a good relationship with China and India has a good relationship with Russia.

Though both of the countries are not legally backing them, but when required, they got their back.
30  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2015-06-11] CD: Max Keiser's Bitcoin Capital Raises $1.6m via Crowdfunding on: June 13, 2015, 04:27:57 PM
1.6million investments can have a positive and a negative system in the market of bitcoins.

Looking st the history of this guy, I think he knows what he's doing and probably benefit the system than damage it.
31  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Time to pack it up on: June 13, 2015, 03:59:15 PM
Pack it up? Wait for a couple months and you'd see MasterCard trying to buy the bitcoin enterprise.

34  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do Atheists hate Religion ? on: June 13, 2015, 03:52:57 PM
I live in India, the land of religions. Every other person believes on some weird deity and donates a little of his income and complete faith into worshipping them hoping that it changes their life.

The reason why I hate religions is that people blame their 'God' for all the bad things and mostly call it 'goodluck' when some good thing happens.

Gratitude. What happened to that? Anyway, Religion is like making a fat kid believe he is full of food and the food already exists in its stomach. All he needs to do is keep faith and believe in it.
35  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do Atheists hate Religion ? on: May 28, 2015, 09:04:14 AM
So I see 2 threads of why islam hates people or why people hate Islam. I dont see the point of such a mundane debate based on religion any debate for or against religion would be stupid. Either you are stupid to believe what a prophet / god / divine entity said or you are stupid enough to believe you can change the minds of the bleak minded people who follow such a prophet / god / divine entity.

But since its fun let me initiate my own brand of 'why do' topic.

WHY DO ATHEISTS (like me) HATE RELIGION ?

Seriously what has to happen in a person's life for them to seriously give up hope on the one true everlasting brand (of religion) which their ancestors have followed for generations.

Everyone has their own story even I have mine, so lets hear some of it.

This is a highly indirect response to your question, but here it is:
Origin of Religion is history. History is written by human kind, and MOST importantly, INTERPRETATION of historic/religious information is done differently by different people. So, atheists, like most I know closely, hate religion as a reflection of interpretations done by some religious heads which do not 'seem' to have any logical reason.
I believe in my own reasoned interpretation which might make me an Atheist but it surely doesn't make me hate religion.

No harm no fowl intended to anyone, just my opinion.
Peace. Smiley
36  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is the best Cloud mining Site? on: May 28, 2015, 06:08:53 AM
Must be legit too, I need to buy Cloudmining but give me advice guys !:)

Thanks Smiley

-Sammal-

There's this upcoming cloud mining facility that I've come across and the kinds of returns they offer just baffled me. I've been closely following them and their activities and I'll send you or anybody else the links relevant to this.
Cheers Smiley
37  Economy / Economics / Re: Does the Price of Bitcoin Matter? on: May 28, 2015, 06:04:31 AM
If I answer you no then I'll be lying. Even though my hope is for us to see 1 btc equivalent to 1 btc some day with the price of fiat mean nothing to us, the current movement of the price still gives us the indication in how well accepted btc is and its demand. I do agree with your reasoning but until the I will still closely follow the btc price movement.

I completely agree with you, but I would like to add that bitcoin is so so so much more valuable than the current prices. The tech that goes into crypto currency, i.e. Block chain mechanism, is the relevant thing at this point in time. The security and the decentralized nature really excites me and is probably the greatest asset which can only get more secure in the future, so the road only goes up Smiley
38  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it better to save money or invest it? on: May 28, 2015, 05:52:56 AM
Is it better to save money in bank or invest it online, in real estate or maybe gold?
It depends on so many things I think. Vastly on the investors financial condition. It's pretty simple, it generally goes high risk investment, high expected return but then there's the role of risk which essentially is the principle factor deciding investment or saving.
So even though the question is pretty simple, people spend hours trying to find the 'right' answer to that.
39  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do people think income tax is ok? on: May 28, 2015, 05:44:28 AM
The power to tax is the power to destroy. I think income tax and property tax are just wrong. What do you think?

I think, being part of a community puts certain responsibilities on the 'participants' of the community, and since we as a members of a society have repeatedly failed to think beyond our personal propaganda you have to be 'taxed' to maintain your ecosystem.
Thoughts?

That's right.
But, how does one become part of a community?
How close do you have to live to another person to become part of a community with him?
If a group of people form a community, how close do you have to live to them before you become part of their community?
If the people say that anyone living within x miles of a certain point are part of their community, what gives them the right?
If people say that they are going to tax all people living inside certain borders, what gives them the right?

Somebody said might makes right. Might might make what exists, but why does it make it right?

If someone is tricked into signing a compact to pay taxes, especially when he doesn't realize that he signed such, or what it is he signed, is that right?
So, what are the terms of the community?

Community stuff, and taxation stuff, is simply people stating what will be done to other people (and maybe themselves so that things look good). That is a form of slavery.

Show exactly where the tax money of any individual person went, and the receipt for the exact benefit any individual received for the money he paid in taxes. You can't. It was pooled. And the funds went to pay for all kinds of stuff that any particular individual would say is wrong, all because somebody else decided that he had to pay taxes, and decided the way they were to be spent. That is a form of slavery.

Smiley
You see the definition of right and wrong is highly relative. Tax isn't a gift bestowed upon mankind or an evil or a form of slavery as you aptly suggest. It's somewhere in between, things involving the welfare of humankind brings about a lot of grey areas. It's not black or white or right and wrong. There's a lot of grey.
About defining a community, the world is vast. And a community is defined as a small population sharing something in common. Since there are millions of people, it's impossible for all of humanity to have a similar outlook on everything and here comes the role of community heads or governments. All, I'm trying to say is, think of it as the cost of being able to live harmoniously with people around you.
