1  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best Investments on: November 09, 2015, 04:50:26 PM
I'd be careful investing in any bitcoin related product as they all come with risk to loss of principle. If you decide to take that risk here are some suggestions:

- You can convert to CLAMS and invest on Just Dice, I got pretty decent returns there for a while.
- BTCJam, I haven't used them in about a year but I was getting good returns by investing in A and B credit individuals.

Think to invest in a diverse field rather than in the same field. Also i would suggest you invest a minor portion of your total so as to have some cushioning in case of emergencies.
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you believe we need more ways of advertising Bitcoin currency? on: November 09, 2015, 04:48:16 PM
After all, if you don't spread the knowledge of an existence, the existence is in turn unknown, labeling it useless.

What about spreading the word to the younger generation? Children are known to imitate knowledge, and spread it continuously. I am a firm believer in broadcasting and wide advertising. Right now, I'm trying to create handmade merchandise like hand knitted sweaters with the bitcoin symbol embroidered onto them, hand sculpted bitcoin symbol necklaces, earrings, bracelets, and even handmade dolls of a mascot I drew. I'm hoping these fun items will help spread awareness for the digital currency until it's the number one used currency. What do you think?

PS: My Handmade Christmas Bitcoin Merchandise is on sale now.

Also, End the negative image of Bitcoin. And BitcoinTalk
Personally i think we need to start promoting Bitcoins in real life more now. Web promotion is good but still restricted to some extent. A real-life promotion strategy will create a bigger impact and seems much more legit to newbies, and thus more trusted.
3  Economy / Speculation / Re: What are your plans for YOUR BTC if the price rockets in the future? on: November 09, 2015, 04:46:21 PM
I will hold most of my coins as saving. I will also use some of the coins to purchase goods/services so as to make bitcoin useful to the society.
Same for me. I would probably think about selling half for goods/ services and save the half BTCs for a rainy day.
4  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC reach $500 during november? on: November 09, 2015, 04:44:57 PM
Seeing the recent price moving upwards, I am a bit optimistic about btc reaching till $280 or so, but I don't think price can continue being stable after that. What are you guys' opinion on this?
Edit: We hit $400 this month, will we be able to hit $500 till the end of november? Will be a big milestone if we can achieve that, half until the moon($1k)
If it can reach $400 after a slump from $250 why not $500 by November end? I think it will probably be more like $600. Just to be safe, although there's nothing stopping it from crossing even that.
5  Economy / Speculation / Re: Top of next bubble ? Guess the top! on: November 09, 2015, 04:40:51 PM
well we already reached the top price in my opinion it wont go anywhere more than 410 dollars the only change is negative right now in my opinion

Why are you so negative about the future of bitcoin ? In 2013 bitcoin reached $1000 without making the cover of The Economist. And it was 2 years ago.
I think we can comfortably settle for a four-digit value as of first semester of new year (Jan-March 2016) as of now. The ATH could be anywhere above that. The market is totally different than it was in 2013.
6  Economy / Speculation / Re: When will bitcoin reach 500 USD again ? on: November 09, 2015, 04:34:26 PM
...and why do you think so ?
It is my personal opinion that we can expect Bitcoin to reach $500 at the beginning of new year (Jan-Feb 2016) as people are more likely to invest in new ventures, being more optimistic that the new year will bring better luck than the past year. Also the coming halving is a major factor to see a price rise soon.
7  Economy / Speculation / Re: Poll: What Will the Bitcoin Price Be in 2016? on: November 09, 2015, 04:31:41 PM
I took the idea from here : http://cointelegraph.com/news/115582/poll-what-will-the-bitcoin-price-be-in-2016 (you can vote there and here if you want) .

I personally think they asked the wrong people but well ... tell us how much and why
Personally, I think we will see a value of $400 after Christmas and nothing much to stop it from getting as high as $500-$600 in January. People get optimistic in the new year and tend to invest more in that period, so that is why.
8  Economy / Economics / Re: If Bitcoin goes up very high should i buy a house? on: November 09, 2015, 04:28:08 PM
If Bitcoin goes up very high should i buy a house?

Ive been thinking if it went into very high figures i could cash out 80-90% of bitcoin and buy a house outright with no mortgage.  Is that even a good idea though? - basically 80% of networth in a house hmmm.  On the other hand i dont want to have a mortgage and im fed up with renting due to landlords, letting agents and lack of control.

Man when Bitcoin reaches these high value I swear you need to convert into fiat. You will be able to buy a house with Bitcoin! The seller will accept Bitcoin! Wink
Man! if you think your 80-90% net worth is enough to buy a house without mortgage then what are you waiting for? Isn't earning the reason we trade, mine etc. It is for you to spend at the end of the day, right?
9  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it a good long term investment to buy 1 BTC today? on: November 09, 2015, 04:24:21 PM
How safe is it?
Personally, I would suggest a 1BTC investment today can be very fruitful tomorrow. It is by far the highest exchange value commodity online (more than dollars and pounds, etc). So yes, 1BTC at the halving will definitely make you happy at the return that you get.
10  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or Gold? What would you pick? on: November 09, 2015, 04:21:49 PM
If given a choice to walk away with either Bitcoin or gold of equivalent value, what would you pick?

Asians and Westerners were asked in Taipei in Chinese and English if they would take Bitcoin or gold home with them that day, and the answer might surprise you...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m6GiC8dqN9A

We just shot a video outside the Taipei 101 skyscraper area here and gave people a chance to answer if they would walk away with either Bitcoin or gold- and why.

If you were approached and were offered the same deal, would you walk away with Bitcoin or gold in your pocket, and why???

I would take Bitcoin in my 'pocket' anytime! the reason I can check the authenticity of Bitcoin when it enters my 'wallet'. But I would be at first very suspicious as to why anyone would be giving me gold on the street (tungsten-loaded most probably) and there is no way i can be sure it is real. So Bitcoin for me!

Pakistan: Entire Family Murdered In Latest “Honor Killing”…

Pakistani police Wednesday were looking for four men believed to have killed a couple and their four children as retribution for a perceived “honor crime.”

Police officer Mohammed Aslam said the killings happened Tuesday in the town of Athara Hazari in central Pakistan.

Aslam said the men are believed to have hacked the family to death with axes and knives. One daughter, identified by police as Aisha, survived and relayed what happened to authorities. She and the other bodies were found after a man delivering milk to the house noticed that no one was coming to the door, Aslam said.

I have never understood this "honor killing" thing. How can the word honor be used with killing and for heaven's sake who is honoring whom? How can a brutal killing restore family honor? Why don't these people educate themselves and come back to humanity?
12  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do people hate? on: July 02, 2015, 11:59:19 AM
most hating come from nervousness, and nervousness come from problem related to the brain health, many understimate that, the brain need continuos vitamin and mineral, good food to stay well

you noticed that someone is more restless(and in the end it will result in hating many more thing and hating much easy)when he is  tired and fatigued?

good food and good rest are essential

Most people hate for various reasons...the basic reason is they haven't understood life. They are sad and unhappy within, the minute they learn to love and respect "Life" they will delete the word hate from their dictionary!
13  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do Atheists hate Religion ? on: July 02, 2015, 11:50:07 AM
So I see 2 threads of why islam hates people or why people hate Islam. I dont see the point of such a mundane debate based on religion any debate for or against religion would be stupid. Either you are stupid to believe what a prophet / god / divine entity said or you are stupid enough to believe you can change the minds of the bleak minded people who follow such a prophet / god / divine entity.

But since its fun let me initiate my own brand of 'why do' topic.

WHY DO ATHEISTS (like me) HATE RELIGION ?

Seriously what has to happen in a person's life for them to seriously give up hope on the one true everlasting brand (of religion) which their ancestors have followed for generations.

Everyone has their own story even I have mine, so lets hear some of it.

It's simple ! Anything that disrupts peace and dignity of life cannot be a part of religion. This only implies that people have used religion to inflict misery on others instead of using it to bring them together. Over decades we have been spectators to the misery and communal fights caused in its name...Does anything else need to be said ?
14  Economy / Economics / Re: Economy vs EARTH how will be the future? on: July 02, 2015, 11:26:38 AM
Economy up and Earth invisible. That too, the richest surviving, the poor gone. Trend these days seems to be going that direction only. Everyone wants to build sky-scrapers, big industries, modern houses, latest cars. Nobody focussing on reversing these things.  Angry

That's so true! It's sad but true that in some parts of the world scientists are toiling day and night to save the environment while in the other, people are living in self consumption, obsessively spending and living lives as they hardly care, but they fail to understand that nature knows how to get the shit off its back. Earthquakes, tsunamis etc doesn't spare any ass...whether rich or not it gets beaten.
15  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why ISIS is winning? on: June 15, 2015, 01:42:12 PM
The terrorists seem well-ensconced in their twin nerve centers for Iraq and Syria, Mosul and Raqqa, respectively, and do not appear threatened in Fallujah, only miles from Baghdad.  This despite the allied air campaign designed, in President Obama’s words, to “degrade and ultimately destroy” the group.

Airstrikes alone will not defeat the ISIS. If the NATO is serious about destroying the ISIS, then it should bring in the infantry and the battle tanks. For every 10 terrorists killed in the US-led airstrikes against the ISIS, 50 more joins them after crossing the Turkish-Syrian border. ISIS has also stepped up the recruitment of local Sunni Arabs.

I think this will only stop when everything comes under ISIS in Iraq. Only then it will be affordable for US or NATO to be at War with ISIS. Even Russia will be eying the opportunity to let its army go into the war.
16  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do islam hates people? on: June 15, 2015, 01:33:25 PM
Not sure lack of jobs is only because of immigration. Extra people need extra services to live too. And that creates more jobs. Problem may be the time it takes for people to integrate into society. And some may not want to. But you're right. Politicians won't suffer from it. Not unless the public wakes up and throws them out of office. Though it's more likely that anti immigration policies and parties get more power instead and nothing really changes.

The migrants take away a lot of blue collar jobs from the native inhabitants. Look at the United States, most of the (native) masons and bricklayers are now unemployed, as the cheaper Mexican immigrants have taken over their jobs. And your argument that "extra people need extra services to live too" is not applicable for these immigrants. They require few services, as they live up to 8-10 people in a single room. 90% of the money they earn in the EU, will be sent back to their home countries as remittances.

I think you are wrong here. In most of the countries, migrants have been given jobs such as cleaning, plumbing, electric repairs. They have been assigned that type of jobs which local residents finds it filthy or not worthy enough for them.
17  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Police In Texas Shut-Down Illegal Lemonade Stand on: June 15, 2015, 01:28:23 PM
So now what? The girls would have to start giving Policemen bribes for keeping their business running. For sure, then they will be not again be harassed by Police, in fact they can also apply for Police protection, so that they can get their competitors (again some kids) wiped out from lemonade business  Cheesy
18  Economy / Economics / Re: How to save money. on: June 15, 2015, 01:23:02 PM
This is my first post. Please do respect

My post intention is to help readers to save their money.

Some of the employee are not saving their money. They spend it on things that they dont need. For example gadgets, buying a concert ticket, accesories, etc.Buying things that not they need is also like a wasting money. Because this thing give a happiness  not a good life. Saving money is just like securing your future because your savings can help you in emergencies. These are the way to save money .
If you are empolyee. You must save atleast 20% of your salary. The 20% of your salary divides into two .

The 1st way : cash reserves- medical insurance, retirement, life insurance  and if you not have salary yet. And emergency. But dont spend all of you 10% in this emergency. You must know if the injury is serious o not before you spend the 10%.
The cash reserves must equal of your 6 months salary this will help you and ensure you becauas of you loss your job you have extra money .

The 2nd way : investment, business- you can invest in some company so that you have a extra income. And you can also built a small business that will always have an income like apartment.

Example. My wage is $ 7.5 per hour and i work for 8 hours and i work for 20 days. So thar my salary is $1,160 . The 20% of $1,160 is $232 .
So that my cash reserves is $ 116 i can spend this money in emergencies and medical insurance.
If my 6 month salary is $6,960 i can stop my saving money in cash reserves.

Thank you .

Great analysis and suggestions. This truly defines a proper way of managing your hard-earned money. It doesn't matter if a person is earning low or high until it is being properly managed. Well thought out plan.
Thanks. but some people can't still understand my point, they have so many question that they can only answer it by them selves. By experienced it or they would realize.

The people who don't realize the value of money are either doing very well and having abundant of it, or they actually do not care about anything.  Cheesy Cheesy
Just kidding  Smiley anyways on a serious note, it is truly a job well done from you to get all the aspects covered.
19  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin isn’t the future of money — it’s either a Ponzi scheme on: June 15, 2015, 01:18:31 PM

Bitcoin's breakthrough is to have a decentralized network of "miners" sit in between us instead. Now, remember, these miners are trying to win new Bitcoins by solving computationally-taxing math problems. The clever part, though, is that in the process of doing so, they also create a public ledger of every single Bitcoin transaction, what's called the blockchain. That includes every Bitcoin that's ever been won, every Bitcoin that's ever been used, and every Bitcoin that's ever been transferred. So now we don't need a bank to know that I have the money I'm sending to you, and that I'm only sending it to you. The miners confirm all this. And the best part is that instead of having to pay the bank myself to do this, the system pays the miners in new Bitcoins.

This article make me scared about bitcoin, now i withdraw some BTC and keep on my Bank, i believe bitcoin will be BIGGEST Technology, but in price we can see it, price is very down than last year (stabil 300$)

What do you think about this article ?

I think the author is in really hurry to stop the bitcoins. Its really easy to criticize anything. Give bitcoins some time to get settled. Let more users flow in. Then we will see where does bitcoin go.
20  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Which Bitcoin Exchange do you use and why ? on: June 15, 2015, 01:15:59 PM
After the fall of Mt. Gox ...I think this is very important Q to all Bitcoin newbies like me.

It is more than a year now people are expressing their exchange of choice. So, I thought of listing them below...

Direct Trading Exchange :-

i. www.LocalBitcoins.com

ii. www.100bit.co.in

Real Time Exchange :-

i. www.BTC-e.com

ii. www.BitStamp.net

iii. www.Kraken.com

iv. www.CoinBase.com

v. www.OKcoin.com

vi. www.BTCchina.com

vii. www.Cryptsy.com

viii. www.Bitfinex.com

BTC-e all the way. Easy, reliable. I have had zero complaints, and I have been using it for quite some time now.
And I think most of the people here seem to like btc-e for a reason.
It's simple, if you're thinking the one for you, I think you needn't look further Smiley

Let's be honest here. BTC-e has many complaints all over this forum. They pick and choose who they scam but besides that and those complaints I've never had any issues with them personally while trading at their exchange. I'm sure some others here have seen the threads and the accusations.

I never had any complaint with Btc-e. I think there system is pretty smooth and secured than others. They verify everything before a person can start making bitcoin transactions, which is actually good.
