People who don't believe in Jesus salvation are going to Hell.
See here's a prime example of someone telling you as fact what's going to happen when you die. As we've already concluded, nobody knows what will happen when die, so this person is obviously lying.

Or what's happens if the devil has been tricking all the religious folk all along. Atheists will have the last laugh then.
Actually this is quite a good point. The chances for this are the same as the chances for it being the real "god". What has this: You know that there isn't any evidence that shows that we didn't exist before our brains did. Got to do with this: However, it is common knowledge that inside the fallopian tube our bodies existed before our brains started forming. That our body is formed prior to our brain doesn't serve as a rebuttal to the point I made. We are not our arms and legs, we exist in the firings of our neurons, so how does your point serve, well, your point? You did make the right point. Even now, our surroundings might actually be completely different from what we see. What we see is just how our brain interprets information from our senses. This is why we sometimes see weird shapes in the dark and such even though there is nothing there. each side thinks they have seen the light and that the other is living in ignorance. -snip-
Since you've already brought up "seeing the light", I might as well say something in regards to that. You can read from time to time how person X saw *insert random god/saint or other nonsense* that talked to the person in his NDE (near-death experience). This is what deluded people believe. Even though the exact reasons are still unknown due to the lack of knowledge of the brain, this happens because of oxygen starvation. Oxygen starvation causes failure of all the organs and tissues of the body, and the eyes and brain are most sensitive to its effects, failing before any other organs. It doesn't affect all parts of the brain at the same time. People see, hear and believe what they want to, even though it's irrational and often wrong. That's how deluded they can be.

That's right. We are our life. And the higher forms of us, our selves, become consciousness. Our life is there before our brains form. We are there.
Wow. Much warped twisting of reality. Let me humour your infantile assertion for a minute. Even if you want to insist that the initial cell-division and replication that takes place at fertilization, be considered as 'life', where is the evidence that we exist as a 'self' before that point? Same place as the evidence that we don't exist before that point. Since some science is suggesting that the idea of life pervades the whole universe, even inorganics, science is starting to suggest that our consciousness is there in primitive form even before conception. How much more will it be there after conception! You are still in old-school.

You did make the right point. Even now, our surroundings might actually be completely different from what we see. What we see is just how our brain interprets information from our senses. This is why we sometimes see weird shapes in the dark and such even though there is nothing there. Which is one of the reasons we can safely rely on objective measurements from non-biological instruments, namely, technology. We have built plenty of technology solely for the purpose of being able to measure and observe both that which our senses cannot be considered reliable instruments for, such as the tendency to 'see' patterns such as the 'weird shapes' in the dark, as well as that which our sense simply are not capable of detecting due to their limited capacity. So, no, when theists like to cite 'woo' and how we humans simply don't 'know enough' they are ignoring the inconvenient fact that, actually, we know quite a lot and none of their claims towards the existence of 'woo' withstand any sort of critical analysis, through reason or technological observation and measurement.

Actually this is quite a good point. The chances for this are the same as the chances for it being the real "god". The devil is quite advanced beyond us. The Bible says that there was a time that he "walked among the fiery stones." This means that he walked in the same places the real God walked. He is quite powerful. Many - maybe most - will think that he is the real god, simply because of the power that he DOES have... even if that power lies only in his deceptive talk.

So I see 2 threads of why islam hates people or why people hate Islam. I dont see the point of such a mundane debate based on religion any debate for or against religion would be stupid. Either you are stupid to believe what a prophet / god / divine entity said or you are stupid enough to believe you can change the minds of the bleak minded people who follow such a prophet / god / divine entity.
But since its fun let me initiate my own brand of 'why do' topic.
WHY DO ATHEISTS (like me) HATE RELIGION ?
Seriously what has to happen in a person's life for them to seriously give up hope on the one true everlasting brand (of religion) which their ancestors have followed for generations.
Everyone has their own story even I have mine, so lets hear some of it.
This is a highly indirect response to your question, but here it is: Origin of Religion is history. History is written by human kind, and MOST importantly, INTERPRETATION of historic/religious information is done differently by different people. So, atheists, like most I know closely, hate religion as a reflection of interpretations done by some religious heads which do not 'seem' to have any logical reason. I believe in my own reasoned interpretation which might make me an Atheist but it surely doesn't make me hate religion. No harm no fowl intended to anyone, just my opinion. Peace.

Of course, neither you or anybody else can prove that there isn't consciousness without the brain. So where is your evidence that there isn't thinking without the brain? There is a wide universe full of possibilities that we have only started to master, only scratched the surface of understanding. You anti-scientific-advancement nerd.

but its quite scary to think we were wrong and will burn in hell. It not remotely scary. This burning in hell thing is a ploy used by the church to increase their followers. Wise people ignore it. Just enjoy life and stop worrying about your inevitable death. You can't stop it, it's as natural as eating, breathing etc, so why worry? yeah i do agree it has yet to be proven. but all religion speaks of hell as burning fire. all religion even tho they have their differences and beliefs speaks about the same subject, im not saying they are right or they are wrong. but its just a thought i wanted to point out. i do agree with you, death is inevitable. That's because at the time all these religions became prominent, fire was about the worst thing mankind could imagine having to endure. Think about it for a fairly primitive culture: a naturally occuring phenomenon that created terrible pain when you touched it. Naturally, that would be a thing people would fear greatly, so the thought of having to endure an eternity of fire 'in the afterlife' was probably quite motivational to 'get right with god.'

but i would like to ask to an atheist what happens after death? Lots of things, but none of them will involve you. The universe keeps spinning totally indifferent to your existence, as if you never existed at all. The universe won't care, and you won't care either. Only your loved ones will be affected. what happens to YOU. not the universe because thats obvious Nothing happens to you. The same way nothing was happening to you for billions of years before you were born. Everything after you die, from your perspective, will be exactly the same as it was before you were born.
