21  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Message to all Brits who voted for sovergnity, you are damn idiots on: May 18, 2019, 11:04:06 PM
now there are european elections and brits are voting for their nazi hate parties like brexit ukip and or tories
Nazi? Are you serious? Do you even know what a nazi is? lol
Nobody is voting for ukip anyway, so don't worry about that.
Frankly, the UK has larger issues than their sovereignty to worry about these days.
22  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Evolution is a hoax on: May 18, 2019, 08:10:13 PM
^^^ However, you are assuming that your assumptions have something to do with evolution. They are too generally stated to know for sure if they do.

The thing that they don't prove is evolution theory evolution. Have you found anyone who has examined the DNA of descendants of descendants over thousands of years of history, just to see if there are really any changes? Until you do, evolution is a fun story. But if you claim it is fact...

Evolution is a hoax.

Cool

Yeah, after reading your interactions with other people, it's very obvious that you have no desire to argue in good faith.
What I'm not sure about is whether you're a troll, or if you suffer from some cognitive deficit.
How about a thought experiment? What if I put the burden of proof on you, how would you prove that evolution is a hoax?
I'm very interested in what the crux of your argument is, if you have an argument to begin with.
23  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Evolution is a hoax on: May 17, 2019, 05:51:53 PM

So far we aren't even close to proof. We have all kinds of guesses, and all kinds of stories to suggest how those guesses might have worked, and maybe some genetic manipulation that shows that WE can do it... but where is the proof in nature?

That's nice sophistry, but shows that you didn't actually inform yourself on either of the 2 things I've mentioned.
The thing with guppies is that it only took a change in diet and environment to create a subspecies (in the most famous studies, they separated them into 4 groups which all evolved to match their environments), guppies are good for such experiments due to their high breeding capacity and short life-spans, so you can see genetic changes of multiple generations in an observable time-frame.
There's no "scientific magic" involved, just observations. Obviously it happens outside of labs, but it's not something you can easily just show, especially on more complicated organisms such as mammals.
24  Other / Politics & Society / Re: WHY CHOOSE RELIGION OVER HUMANITY on: May 16, 2019, 06:32:46 PM
Many extremists taking the life of people all in the name of religion, why?
There may be as many reasons as there are people.
But I think it boils down to people looking for a purpose, wanting to be part of something greater than themselves.
Too bad they latch onto something as destructive as religion.
25  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Evolution is a hoax on: May 16, 2019, 06:15:22 PM
EDIT: All you are showing is evidence of adaptation that doesn't cover thousands of years. Or if it did, have you or anyone gone back and watched the changes over the thousands of years... or at least tracked the DNA to ascertain that evolution really happened?
Seen/read about any of the experiments with guppies? Know how dog breeds are created?
There's plenty of easy-to-understand examples around that are, yes, short term -- but how isn't it logical to assume that in the long-term a lot of the same processes would occur naturally regardless of our involvement?
Are you really interested in the truth of the world, or are you just seeking confirmation bias?

Corollary: Quote politely: bad quoting can worsen the reading experience of other users.  Quoting the whole message to answer only a specific part below, or answer a few question all below the quoted text are bad practices. This is something not related to this forum specifically, so you might already know about what I am saying here. If you don't please get used to best quoting practice reading one of the many good guides out there, like this one.
Thanks for making me more conscious about this. It's a habit I fell into due to laziness, will work on overcoming it and doing it right.
Doubt anyone wants to dig trough quote walls to get to an opinion.
Also, congrats on making it this far!

28  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do We Really Want a More Decentralized Version of Facebook? on: May 14, 2019, 05:30:37 PM
https://www.forbes.com/sites/yoavvilner/2019/05/08/a-distributed-internet-what-is-it-good-for/#130eb4384bae

I found this article a fascinating read. Discussing topics and projects that can help make the internet more private and decentralized. I even like the idea  of owning your own domain on the blockchain which would be controlled directly by the owner instead of being censored.

All hopeful things to see in the near future. Thoughts?
Honestly, a more decentralized internet in general would be amazing in general.
I prefer the online space being more of a wild west of sorts, say whatever you want, post whatever you want...etc. Granted, I do have my nostalgia-goggles on, the way the internet used to be was a lot more fun to me compared to how it is today.
Kinda defeats the purpose of social media when you start censoring people/speech, never really kept up with Alex Jones, but how he was deplatformed was a scary precedent to set.
29  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Keep religious beliefs personal to promote peaceful coexistence on: May 14, 2019, 01:24:32 AM

One major factor that constitutes violence is clash of religious beliefs. So many has lost husband, wives, sisters, brothers, children, friends and loved ones due to attacks bored by religious beliefs.

How can we stop clashes of religious beliefs
Be you a Christian, Muslim etc or even of no believe one major way to coexist together is upholding mutual respect
Most time we fined our self being a fan of a particular believe than actually being religious or practising that believe that why the burning hate for others who don't share the same believe is strong.

I am a Christian by believe but free-spirited by ideology I reside in a place predominantly occupied by Muslims but I have survived here by not enforcing my religious thoughts on others and share understanding.
Most time we don't choose our religion if I where to be born into a Muslim family I might probably be a Muslim so I don't have any right to take the life of someone born into a Muslim family.

We could go about our duties, jobs play games together live in this world happily and still keep our believes at heart without it inflicting harm to others

   Stop stigmatising gay's

I am straight in terms of my sexuality but have nothing against gay, or bisexuals.
Gay marriage or relationship is illegal from where I come from and attached to it are some severe jail terms. But we fail to understand this act is actually not a criminal act and the Two parties involved are doing at there own consent so it wrong to play God in the lives of humans and condemn them because you are in the position of power.
That's why the western world are more developed than where I come from. Ones you put a stigma on someone because of there choices you cripple other aspect of there lives you make them withdrawn and unhappy these can be people with some beneficial talent that can improve the nation.
In conclusion live and let others live

While I agree with your overall message, and I do think that "live and let live" should be the way to go, I just don't think it's ever gonna happen.
Religions, by design, just aren't compatible with each other. And religious people, at least in my experience, tend to not have a high opinion of us "unbelievers" either.
Maybe I'm too cynical about it, I dunno, but I find rare to find a religious person that doesn't bring up their faith much, or tries to convert me at some point.
30  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Another conspiracy of Google hmm on: May 13, 2019, 05:57:26 PM
A former youtube developer again have revealed about the google's tactics to completely eliminate competitors.

This is not a new issue of their conspiracy. Are you feeling the need for you to used most if their products or services

https://fossbytes.com/ex-google-employee-admits-it-took-away-internet-explorers-market-share/?fbclid=IwAR1W4DQs4e2OV2_UFzS9f7oSnux85iwDiHXxtHSPcIKtbr6dZgP2iW8gR3A

It honestly is worrying, both the google search engine as well as youtube hold monopolies in their respective fields.
That is bad. Without competition, they can do just about anything and we'll have to put up with it due to a lack of alternatives, you see a lot of that stuff around the US.
Not to mention how much power google has over you, if they decide, for whatever reason, to kill your gmail account -- you're screwed, all of your online accounts will be axed.
We all like to crap on Internet Explorer, but any competition is better than letting google remain uncontested.
31  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Protect Your Account From Plagiarism Ban on: May 13, 2019, 12:13:46 AM
Hello Everyone,

Welcome to my thread. Currently in meta section i have seen a lot of ban appeal thread. So many members including legendary, DT accounts are getting ban due plagiarism issues. You can find from LoyceV's thread how and why so many accounts have got banned recently.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5141807.0

Unfortunately some best contributors are also getting banned nowadays. Maybe someone actively reporting for plagiarism post or created a strong bot for reporting plagiarism I think thats the reason why people are randomly getting banne. As an example you can read this Ban Appeal . Basically their plagiarism issues was a matter of their past mistakes. In my opinion at the beginning of their forum journey they have made those mistakes and maybe they didn't know about the rules at that time. For why they haven't bother to delete their posts.

I opened this thread to let them knows who haven't got enough knowledge about plagiarism. I will friendly suggest them to review their post history and delete the post if there is any copy - paste from others. You can save your account from plagiarism related ban by following this step. Feel free to visit this thread link for getting proper tips to avoid plagiarism TIPS TO AVOID PLAGIARISM

Honestly we don't want to lose a single good quality poster or contributor of the forum for this kind of plagiarism issues. I believe its better to erase our old mistakes and also should be careful in future to avoid plagiarism strictly.

Special Note: Don't forget that forum rules is same for everyone.

Will make sure to read up on the rules more thoroughly. As far as I know, I haven't done anything that would fall under the umbrella of "plagiarism" in my relatively short time here.
That being said, I can't help but get a bit worried when a bot is involved. Logically speaking, a bot makes sense, moderating a large forum manually would take a lot of manpower and all that -- but the things are known to mess up, especially in early implementations. Hope that the bot's findings are manually reviewed before the hammer comes down.
32  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Colorado school Shooting! on: May 12, 2019, 05:43:24 PM
Why is this still happening?
And most of it keeps happening in the US, there hasn't been a single school shooting in my own country, or any of our neighbours -- ever.
Yet it happens year by year over there, dozens of times.
All the while, people just debate about gun ownership... things have really gone downhill these last several years, and they keep getting worse, is acceleration really the only option?

Factor in the entire population and these events affect very few people.  Media is making a bigger deal out of this then they should.  A lot of these shooting are probably fake anyways so they have a reason to ban guns from citizens.
You doing the "crisis actors" angle? Frankly, while I wouldn't completely rule it out as a possibility, I don't think that's the case here.
Not to put words in your mouth, but the way you're phrasing it indicates that you don't really take the shootings seriously; if we assume all of it is faked, it still results in underage people being afraid of what should be the safest place for them to be at -- schools.
Though, if you're wrong -- kids are being killed, that is very serious, regardless of how many end up victims.

How can we learn to forgive ? Is it difficult for u ? Or may be others do not owe us anything ?
I find it easy to forgive people, but I tend to not forget how they wronged me.
Would rather not carry grudges, but I am how I am.
A man's not a lone island, we're social animals and should learn to accept others' shortcomings so we can get along better.
36  Other / Off-topic / Re: Are You a Cell Phone Addict? on: May 07, 2019, 02:57:40 PM
Just  checked on my statistic, in average I spend 6 hours a day using my cell phone. Can I be called addicted? My girlfriends spends more than 9 hours, so I guess I'm fine for now Cheesy
Sad to say it, buddy, but you're both addicted if you stare at that little device that long each day.
Personally, I only use my phone for work and emergency calls, I am rather addicted to the internet though. A good chunk of my time is spent online, lately.
37  Other / Off-topic / Re: 2019 most overrated movie on: May 05, 2019, 08:44:31 PM
A fictional superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics,  Captain Marvel is the most overrated movie 2019. well that's my own opinion anyway.
What movie do you think is overrated?
I'd agree that Captain Marvel fall under that category, I do enjoy a lot of the marvel stuff though, it's popcorn entertainment.
Though Captain Marvel didn't live up to the hype, in my opinion.
Alita: Battle Angel was another movie that people kept going on about that didn't really do it for me, 'twas better than Captain Marvel though, that's for sure.
38  Other / Off-topic / Re: Hey where's fan of Eminem on: May 02, 2019, 10:05:11 PM
Used to love Em' when I was in my early teens, knew the lyrics of just about any song from the albums released up to Relapse.
Favourite album would have to be Infinite though, I get that it's a bit of an odd choice since it stands out when compared to his other work. Has a certain charm that you can't find in his newer stuff, it's the only album I still put on as background music on occasion.
39  Other / Off-topic / Re: Friends on: May 01, 2019, 01:22:58 AM
Recently, I realized that I have very few friends. There are no more than three of them. However, I often see people who have a lot of friends, and sometimes I begin to feel somehow impaired. What do you think? Do you have a lot of friends?
Quality over quantity, my friend.
Unless you're very extroverted, there's no reason to "hoard" friends.
Generally, people tend to have less friends as they grow older, so make them count.
40  Other / Off-topic / Re: World War III on: April 27, 2019, 10:37:35 AM
absolutely nobody wants to destroy this planet more than we already did, win or lose, you still need a place to live afterwards.

Trump doesn't care beyond his lifespan.  He cancelled all the environmental acts from Obama.

People commit horrible acts all the time.  Living through it doesn't matter anymore.

Neither of us are mind-readers, I highly doubt that he's dumb enough to destroy the planet that his friends and family live on.
That being said, he did go on that twitter rant saying he has bigger and better nukes than Kim Jong-Un, sooo I can't be sure of anything there.
It's in literally nobody's interest to make the planet unlivable.
Even those who commit horrible acts daily wouldn't want to kill the planet, such people tend to be selfish and self-centered rather than suicidal. I'm sure there are a exceptions to that, but I doubt any of those exceptions would manage to get to the political top of a country.
