21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Promoting ICO scams on: November 01, 2019, 02:59:32 PM
Going back to 2017 scam ICO launchings, one thing for sure, sites like Coin Market Cap have played a very big role in promoting those scams. Yes they did it because they want money but one thing they should realize that this thing would lead to distrust of new people in crypto which would ultimately also close their shop as well.

Coin Market Cap takes a huge amount of money from those scammers.
When i contacted CMC, i got this email.
Hi, and thanks for reaching out! Our pricing is based on impressions:

Desktop Formats:
·      Top Banner (728x90)  - $14.00 per 1000 impressions
·      Side Banner (160x600) - $8.00 per 1000 impressions
·      Bottom Banner (728x90) - $4.00 per 1000 impressions
Mobile Formats:
·      Top Banner (320x100) - $8.00 per 1000 impressions
·      Mid Page Banner (300x250) - $6.00 per 1000 impressions [Coin Detail Pages only]
·      Bottom Banner (320x100) - $4.00 per 1000 impressions [Coin Detail Pages only]
May promotion:  10% bonus impressions for orders of $25k or more

If these sites just go for some verification before promoting these scams, it would be very good for the visitors. Verification can include Mobile verification, Identity verification etc. These sites are an open image of crypto, if these sites just reduce their earned money by a bit and plan for long term then it would be beneficial for all of us.
I do not understand why they need to change something, if they make a profit for the impressions of advertising and projects that want to buy advertising does not become less.
22  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trading or Marketing/Promotion on: October 31, 2019, 07:19:35 PM
I must say a very big thank you to all forum members because I have learnt a lot from their different opinions however, am still not stable on the part I should actually stick to Trading I ask about most of the responds are discouraging about losing funds high risk and all the rest in Marketing aspect I find out that most of the IEO/ICO turned scam in most cases. The question is I really picked interest in Trading but my intention was to work as marketer/Promoter and get paid in the crypto industry but based on different opinions and some research I can't really tell which of the above will be suitable. I really need opinions here thanks.
I think that you need to work as a marketer, because trading is too risky and as a marketer you can earn more than traders.
23  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: MDAB did over 12,000% Even with seemingly inactive Team. on: October 27, 2019, 09:09:56 PM
If I could remember, few weeks or months ago, I participated in BLoC Platform's bounty program. After distribution, 400 MDAB token given hovered around $15 until after few days it dropped to below $3 and went as low as $2 worth. I forgot it in my wallet and accepted it would worth less than a penny some day.

Few days ago about 6, a friend brought the news on my group of MDAB did over 12,000% increase in price. With speed, I hastened to my wallet and found over $240 worth of 400 MDAB. For me, I would not wait for morning to come cos when I checked and sold on BinanceDex, it had receded to 8,300%. Oops! I missed 4k% already.

The next morning, it fell by 7500% and all my friends waiting for $1 before sell regretted they ever waited such. Shocking side is that MDAB statistics was no more on COINGECKO the next day.

Till now, I still find it shocking what could have really been the cause of the pump and sudden disappearance from Coingecko May be because Binance added a support for it on Binance.com with other tokens like MATIC, others. Also, the Team has been very inactive for sometime on the group.
Wonders of the crypto market.) I also had this coin, but I lost faith in it and sold it cheaply. You're lucky you were able to sell it for a good sum.
24  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: When altcoin season? on: October 27, 2019, 08:15:45 PM
And why? Running late on crypto news last few weeks. Any good new coins on markets?
I already doubt that he will come. I think that only some coins will grow in price. It will not be like before that all altcoins grow in price.
25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin down on: October 27, 2019, 06:07:13 PM
Bitcoin is back down to $ 7500 and altcoin is also following Bitcoin, is this to buy BTC when it is going down badly or waiting for the price of $ 7,000,
I was waiting for a price of 6500$, but I regretted it, as the price rose sharply to 9500$. Now I think to buy bitcoin at the price of 8500$
26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If You Died Tomorrow, What Would Happen To Your Crypto? on: October 27, 2019, 05:42:38 PM
I think that the pieces of paper with my private keys would be thrown away, as relatives would not understand what it is. Grin
27  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What can make more profit ? on: October 27, 2019, 05:15:21 PM
What you think more profit, participate in IEO or wait after IEO and buy the token from exchanges?
I think it all depends on the exchange. If for example IEO is conducted by the Binance exchange, then participation in IEO will bring more profit.
28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Unrealistic bounty allocations on: October 27, 2019, 03:04:04 PM
What kind of a bounty hunter are you? the one who is always eager to promote new projects? or the one who select the projects that appeared to be worthy? or for example you like projects with million dollars allocation like...

Well here is the fact, any bounty that gives out huge bounty rewards are unrealistic, we all know that we are in a bad crypto season but still they think this is the best way to lure you, this doesn't mean the project is scam but forget the dollar price tag and don't bother to calculate based on $$$$ because you can get 10$ instead of your 500$ worth of token, i prefer already listed and trading projects, what about you? do you agree or disagree?

I also started to stick to this tactic. It is better to earn less, but to know for sure that you can get money for work, than to work hard and get nothing.
29  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you still hodl? Then we go to you! on: October 27, 2019, 02:52:04 PM
Do you still hold coins and wait for them to grow?
No, I gave up hope a long time ago and sold everything

I trade every day and make a profit. I can make a few in one day. For a month, it turns out about 100%
Why sit and hodl coin?
People hope that a miracle will happen and they will become rich. Most likely there will be people who will become rich, but such less than a percent of the total mass.
30  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Success factors of a project on: October 27, 2019, 02:39:35 PM
Daily many projects are brought into the market with different ideas and background.
But the question is what makes these projects to perform well in the market. No doubt good technical support is too necessary to lead the project towards success, but even with good technical support and marketing many projects can't survive.
So what matters these days is financial backup or financial support. Before entering the market a project (or ICO) should have enough financial support to compete in the market even in worst conditions.

It's my own analysis so far in this altcoin market.
What are your thoughts?

When a project enters the market, it already has the minimum amount of money to function and if it lacks them, then this indicates that the team is not able to spend money properly.
31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's up with Ethereum? on: October 27, 2019, 12:07:50 AM
The market is dull but most of us expected ETH to outperform like it did in first quarter of 2018 post bull run when every crypto coin were going down and even the value of bitcoin was dumped but ETH was steady for a while and not sure why ETH is under hibernation mode nowadays. What might be the reason we don't see much movement in the price of ETH? I know all the altcoins are down but ETH is not same as them but I am unable to figure out the reason why ETH is struck.
I think there are several options.
1) Ethereum depends on bitcoin and since bitcoin does not grow in price, so does Ethereum
2) ICO became smaller and it affected the price of ethereum
3) People started making projects on other platforms.
32  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: don't rely on gift tokens, balance your time with other things. on: October 26, 2019, 11:54:13 PM
don't rely on gift tokens because that will only bore you and not to mention you have to wait for them to be listed on the exchange or at least until they have a sale price to make up for your hard work.
I suggest balancing your time with other things you can do in this market and I think there are many ways to make a profit besides a prize campaign. I say this because I also feel bored with them and what I produce from gift tokens does not produce sweet fruit.
at this time I balance with trading, how about you?
There are no alternatives to bounty companies. Trading is not for everyone and most lose money rather than earn.
33  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ideas - dead cryptos on: October 26, 2019, 11:25:51 PM
What dead crypto currencies do you know?
If I start listing them, you'll get tired of reading. Grin

What are the possibilities for crypto currencies that almost can't be exchanged any more?
They have no application

Do you have any ideas how to make money on big amounts of abandoned cryptos?
I think this can be done in one way, If only to arrange a pump

35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good news form North Korea on: October 06, 2019, 11:30:09 PM
North Korea has become very interested in creating its own cryptocurrency and has a sufficient level of competence to move forward with this plan, But that's not all. On Sept. 10, Cao de Benos tweeted that the North Korean authorities have allowed citizens to own cryptocurrencies, and local developers “are designing crypto wallets and other related apps right now.
For some reason, I don't believe that because Korea is not a developed country. Most people there are poor, and they have not used new technologies, what kind of cryptocurrency can we talk about?
36  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sell your altcoins and tokens TODAY, save yourself the frustration on: October 06, 2019, 11:04:22 PM
You know how this is going to end. You might be trying to lie to yourself, you might be secretly hoping that some token in your "portfolio" that you have 10 million of is going to moon to $50 and make you rich, but let's be real: that is not going to happen. Even the allegedly strong altcoins like LTC or ETH or whatever is cool these days (I've been out of this game for a while) are not doing well and BTC dominance is growing. Which makes sense if you think about it. BTC can do most of what any altcoin can do and the few really useful features that BTC is missing (private transactions for example) are implemented by multiple altcoins, fragmenting their market share.

And the elephant in the room: 99% of altcoins are total garbage. They're called shitcoins for a reason.

Sell your altcoins and tokens. Take the proceeds in BTC, stick it into a cold wallet, keep some online to play around with Lightning and other things that actually matter for real-life stuff, like being able to buy something. When was the last time you were able to use for example Ethereum for something tangible, not to buy some garbage tokens or to play a game?

Do it today. Your grandkids will thank you.
I agree with you, I recently sold all my altcoins, because they almost do not grow in price. I hope I made the right decision, but maybe I was wrong and will soon regret what I did.
37  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alts you won't invest in on: October 05, 2019, 08:22:02 PM
A lot of discussions on forum are all about "what coin should I buy? Why?"
Here's the opposite - I want to ask what alts you would never buy and why so.

My example:
Never buy BTT, Tron, Stellar and other coins where the tokens are giving away with all kinds of airdrops. Why? Emission grows with no influx of investors.
Doubting about Peercoin. Hybrid emission system doesn't seem reliable too, though lately PPC began spreading itself via well-known exchanges (changheangel or changelly - don't remember).
+ Libra. Not sure if any explanation needed.

I don't buy completely anonymous coins because I don't believe governments will allow such projects to exist. From the exchanges, they definitely will be removed.
38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin's future. on: October 05, 2019, 05:57:48 PM
The more new coins that are present in the crypto market, will certainly enliven the crypto world. My question is how do you look at the future of the altcoin, with fairly tight competition. Will it affect the price of old altcoins, such as Ethereum, XRP and others.
If new projects offer a new technology that will be cooler than Ethereum and others, then of course, they will fall in price)
39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bad habits from devs with bounty rewards on: October 05, 2019, 05:38:36 PM
I want to warn bounty hunters about bounty projects that pays bounty rewards to their platform or websites instead of ETH contract address, they mostly go against their words and you have no control over the tokens even if you have your login details..
Those who promoted Cryptomarketads(CMA) and Moozicore(MZG) knows what i'm talking about, i have decide to stop promoting such projects
Other projects send tokens to your Ethereum wallet, but they are not worth anything. So there is no difference where the tokens are stored.
40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin can't survive alone on: October 05, 2019, 04:53:59 PM
Over 850 millions of people use alipay as means of payment mostly in china and i heard lots about wepay as well, i come to think of it that what if bitcoin was been used in their places instead? if alipay and wepay can get to where they are today then altcoins have all the chances of survival as well. Wepay and Alipay are just online payment solution, crypto can do better.

Real use cases plus real life working products, let these two be your main focus when picking altcoins to invest your money on, do not listen to those saying 'dump altcoins for bitcoin' when you are holding solid altcoins
Bitcoin will not be used for daily transactions, because the transaction takes a long time. I think that in the future nothing will happen to Wepay and Alipay companies, because they will create their own cryptocurrency.
