We're (referring to self-storing bitcoiners) all safe.  The righteous US Government officials are not going to unfairly target anyone.. ONLY targeting dee real and true wrong-doing criminals.

i feel safer already

If you have a specific name in mind that you would like to know the meaning of [...]

Huh? What does this have to do with the topic of this discussion?  The OP asked a question about the word "blockchain", not about the etymology of personal names.

chatgpt or its ilk

23  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: JJG's Bitcoin Investment Ideas (Sustainable Withdrawal / Portfolio Maintenance) on: April 27, 2024, 05:15:45 PM
If your are referring to some kind of video content on the page, then I think that we have these kinds of suggestions in the back of our minds, though neither of us personally are wanting to do this kind of thing.

Even logically it would seem most appropriate for someone like me (the creator) to explain the content in a video (or a cartoon), but I have not been presenting myself in the actual live video form on the forum, and not even my avatar has been animated, so far.  OpSec, you know.

So then there can be questions whether we could come up with something animated (such as a cartoon in the event that we cannot figure out some other animated content..) as we improve upon the page and even add more pages, so maybe once we have the first few basic pages in place (adding one or more tools), then we might be able to consider possible ways to add some additional animation or visuals to the content.

I am not even opposed to guys making specific suggestions or even proposing some kind of an animation (or visuals) that we could add or even pay for it if someone were to want to negotiate a reasonable price to do it and if they were to present the materials in a way that seems to be more helpful than not.

sounds like a job for AI animation. just feed it a script and tweak to desired style. instant instructional cartoons. dunno where to get such a thing or how much the cost but it may achieve the desired amount of opsec. ie pay AI studio with btc or whatever, digital delivery etc.

27  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I don’t like the term “crypto” on: April 25, 2024, 09:14:37 PM
four terms you need to know if you want to be taken even slightly seriously

bitcoin = bitcoin
crypto = bitcoin + altcoins
coin = has its own blockchain
token = rides on another blockchain

feel free to correct anything as im no authority and you especially shouldnt take me seriously

34  Economy / Speculation / Re: 100 Push-Ups A Day Until Bitcoin Is $100K Challenge on: April 10, 2024, 10:55:34 AM
2) I don't mean to be a fuddy duddy, but I think that there should be a rule that in order to be eligible to be included in the table, your average amount per day needs to be at least 10 pushups per day.... we gotta aspire to at least some kinds of minimum standards.. Accordingly, bitcoin is not a shitcoin, just like our participation in this pushup activit is not participating in a shitcoin (at least it does not seem that way to me).. Hate me all you want, yet if any of the reporting members cannot even average 10 pushups per day, then let's eliminate them from the table.. yeah. .JJG the hater.... but we have to have some standards and this is a thread to inspire the doing of pushups, and in that light I imagine if we were to ask any of the guys reporting pushups so far, we would have an overwhelming level of consensus - even if we have a soft heart for guys not being able to carry out many pushups, no one is likely to say that we are being overly harsh by instituting a minimum of a 10 pushups per day average requirement in order to qualify for being included in the table.

i agree. i must withdraw.

36  Economy / Speculation / Re: 100 Push-Ups A Day Until Bitcoin Is $100K Challenge on: April 09, 2024, 10:41:47 AM

team 0 pushups forever here

100kchallange,vapourminer,1,0,2024-04-08

3) there is something wrong about this whole seemingly not want to cooperate situation, and I should not even be encouraging such naughtiness.. Sure "anti-push-ups," that could be a thing.. I am not going to deny that..   but really.. something is not right about the whole seemingly push-up boycott situation, especially when they are not really fun or easy to do...  #justsaying

hey someone has to be in last place.
37  Economy / Speculation / Re: 100 Push-Ups A Day Until Bitcoin Is $100K Challenge on: April 08, 2024, 03:34:48 PM
format:

example:
100kchallenge,DirtyKeyboard,57,5081

Cool idea.  I'm really happy with the direction this thread is taking.  I feel like it has taken on a life of it's own and you will all keep it going with stories of your transformations and improvements.  Seeing people propose formats and everyone being so positive...  I really hope we see more things grow from this.  This is a good step forward and I'm on board with selecting a format to improve this challenge.  Lets see how far we can take this thing!

0 push-ups so far today.  About to change that.  Smiley

team 0 pushups forever here

edit: no100kchallange,vapourminer,1,0,2024-04-08

withdrawn from challenge 2024-04-10

When you take a look at the some forum posts, you will be amazed at how many people are wondering if the bull run is over and if they should sell their BTC - which means that they have no sense of the times they are in. The conditions for a perfect storm are becoming increasingly visible with the upcoming halving and the huge appetite of investors for Bitcoin through spot ETFs.

yeah. this party is just getting started.
40  Other / Meta / Re: Theymos I need a larger sMerit quota on: April 05, 2024, 12:06:05 PM
Overall, I think that it will be good if theymos programs Merit system in a way that if someone doesn't spend sMerits on users, they'll get the equivalent merits removed from their profile. This approach should motivate people to be more active in giving away merits. The more active people will be (to genuinely merit those who deserve it), the more sMerit quota will everyone have.

i cant speak for other sources but personally i couldnt care less and im guessing some others feel the same.

merit and rank only matters for people who want to earn money in sig campaigns and such. the rest of us? not so much.
