21  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 17, 2018, 03:50:10 AM
I predict max low is 8300-8400 - bitfinex - last hope support. None good supports below really - if it goes to 8000 its game over man Tongue

Bitconnect dropped like a stone. At someone point Bitcoin could definitely collapse. But until then it's all just speculation.

Maybe someone is dumping all the bitcoin profits they made from bitconnect. Maybe bitcoin will recover after they stop dumping.
Oh is that what blew up the price? A Ponzi scheme collapsing?

Man no one makes money on those things.

the insiders did i bet :\ meh

Yep. Bitconnect is dead I guess. Everyone who saw videos on Youtube of their conference knew it was a scam. This guy has become a meme now.
The early people certainly made a lot of money there and the general populace got burned. That's why we should sometimes listen to our fellow crypto lovers when they have our best interest at heart.
Bitcoin is the one and only original. If its price goes somewhere sub 3k it's probably game over. But it won't happen until all the knockoffs die first.

How many bitcoins were tied up in it?

Are the funds from the ICO going into escrow?
23  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ARO] | Arionum | CPU Only | PHP Based | Decentralized Revolution on: January 17, 2018, 03:32:43 AM
Ran this on 2 PCs

a very old i3 ULV gives 11 h/s and my FX 8350 gives 22 h/s (with two instances)

I get around 10 times performance on FX 8350 otherwise, is this right? No incentive for running it on a Higher end CPUs?

Are you solo mining? How many blocks a day are you getting?

Wait a sec, how it can be possible to ban BarterDEX? ...
Banning a thing and being able to enforce that ban are not mutually inclusive.

They banned porn in China, but a shit load of Chinese still watch it. Banning BarterDEX won't stop the Chinese using it.

26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DOGE] Dogecoin - very currency many coin - v1.10.0 on: January 17, 2018, 03:04:29 AM
Just watching closely without taking any action as already accumulated whatever I wanted. It seems that this current bearish mode in alternative coins market will soon be over. Those buying the red has chance to be big gainer. Doge has again 1k+ Bitcoin volume which is good to understand the trend.

After bitcoin starts going back up in price altcoins like doge will start going back up in price. They usually do.
27  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Problems with blockchain.info access on: January 17, 2018, 02:19:27 AM
Thank you guys for all your comments. I usally use firefox on linux. In the past everything worked fine. The issues have been started some weeks ago. Regarding my goal: I would need to import my private key to my watch only wallet in order to do any transaction. I generally switch the whole amount to a new paper wallet. Has electrum already solved their actual problems? I would need a linux version but still don`t find how to verify before installing. Any good advices?

This is a thread explaining how to verify electrum before installing it.

I am having this same issue. Did you figure it out? I have tried turning off VPN, rebooting, logged in/out and even tried accessing from another connection. Any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Are you using the latest version of your browser? If not try upgrading. Try in both the latest versions of chrome and firefox.

11500 on GDAX not too bad, hope the bottom is in.

Its not. We have at least one more large dump. Might be as much as a few days from now though.

How do you know that?

Based on a bunch of technical indicators and 5 years of experience tracking bitcoin bull trends and corrections.

But you've only been registered here for four and a half years.

Yobit isn’t trading BLU anymore?  I’m locked out of my account, I hope they didn’t dump my BLU.

What eXchanges are trading Blu right now?
livecoin.net

Thanks.  Now I gotta get into my Yobit account and hopefully my coins are still there.

Big Vern stole my 50,777,777 BLU, I hope Yobit didn’t steal my paltry 100k.

Did you get your coins? Their rules suggest you only get 14 days to withdraw your coins after they close a market. However they are quite vague.

https://yobit.net/en/rules/

Quote
In case of disabling the cryptocurrency the User has the opportunity to request for funds withdrawal within the period of 14 days if the cryptocurrency blockchain works and is able to fulfill transaction tracking.

What?  Yobit is shutting down bluecoin?  I only have 100k coins but I don’t wanna lose them.  I never got a notice.

Sorry, I was mistaken. It's still listed in these markets. Your 100k coins are safe, provided you can get back into your account.

Ok, who dropped it? Come on, fess up.

Yeesh, that action...

China banned bitcoin again.

The PBOC dropped it.
32  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: chainz.cryptoID.info - Alternative Blockchain Explorers on: January 16, 2018, 07:57:46 PM
How much does it cost to get a coins blockchain listed? Thx. Smiley

Explorer additions might still be suspended. This is from the cryptoid.info FAQ.

https://chainz.cryptoid.info/faq.dws

Quote
Note: Explorer additions are currently suspended

After a hectic early 2017, we are reaching the limits of our current infrastructure, back-office tools especially. So rather than jeopardizing stability of current explorers, we are suspending addition of new explorer for Summer 2017, and we will use that time to upgrade our back-office and automation tools.

We require a client wallet with a Bitcoin-compatible RPC API, that can be compiled from source code (preferably on github or similar) and that will run under Debian 7

We may also currently ask for a contribution to hosting costs, as servers hosting the wallet daemons are our major source of expenses.
Currently, we prefer to host the daemon ourselves for reliability reason, both so we know what code the daemon is running and to ensure good uptime.

Preferred contact method is currently through bitcointalk.

Note that due to unclear BitLicense requirements, requesting an explorer is not possible for New York state residents or citizens. If you happen to live or be a New York state citizen, please contact the NY DFS for further inquiries.
33  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: YoBit withdraw high fee on: January 16, 2018, 07:20:50 PM
Undecided
I love DOGE because of low fee (1-2 DOGE), but 100 DOGE for fee it is to high.
When I send DOGE on YoBit I pay only 1.90 DOGE for fee...
That was too high, this what happens when there's a big demand to a coin that people are using. And as far as I know, there are too many bitcoin traders that are converting their btc's to DOGE for lesser transaction fee and withdrawals but what's happening now with yobit is expected. Don't use them anymore and if you can avail to pay that 100 DOGE for withdrawal take it already.

Edit: I tried to check it out, it only says 0.002 LTC for withdrawal fee and the same goes with other altcoins except BTC.

That's probably what happened - people stopped withdrawing bitcoin (because Yobit's btc withdrawal fee was sky-high, higher than most other exchanges) and switched to Doge. They've probably had a run on their doge wallet so have raised the fee to discourage people. I guess folks will use another alt to move money.

Bter did something similar before it closed. It started forcing people who wanted to withdraw bitcoin to give it scans of their passports. However you could withdraw in any alt except doge without providing scans. There was a lot of speculation about why doge was the only alt you had to do KYC to withdraw. Maybe it had a run on its doge wallet too.
34  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: YoBit withdraw high fee on: January 16, 2018, 07:14:35 PM
Thanks for the suggestions, but you did not understand me about DOGE market.
On YoBit site you have 6 market (BTC, ETH, DOGE, WAVES, USD, RUR),
and when I say market I think about buying and selling:
exemple
I buy with DOGE 200,000 RDD and I sell 200,000 RDD for DOGE (on DOGE market)
Bittrex, Bluetrade, Poloniex, Gate, Cryptopia, they do not have DOGE market (checked).
Cryptopia have but "Market is closed".

Click the doge link (shown by the red arrow) at the top right of the bleutrade home page.

Afterwards you should see doge markets including Htmlcoin, Mooncoin, Reddcoin, FujiCoin, Potcoin, Unobtanium, SolarCoin.

What would also be intersting.

Did in the crashes/dips in 2015/2016/2017 also happen after a huge Altcoin pump ?

The crash in January 2014 happened after a huge bitcoin AND altcoin pump, but there was another bitcoin AND altcoin pump in late January/early February.
36  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: My withdrawal STR from poloniex status "Error" for 8 days, my ticket is ignored on: January 16, 2018, 06:47:01 PM
My withdrawal is already process on July 19th
I waited from 22 June to 19 july (about 27 days).

This is crazy 27 days withdrawal my status complete; Error (can not be canceled).
He just responded after 27 days, What kind of service is that?

I experienced a huge loss of value and also my time runs out of having to try to contact him via twitter and even create threads in some forums.
I will never use his service again.

Even need a hard effort so that my ticket in response, repeatedly I sent him a tweet

Did they give you a reason for the huge delay in their reply?
37  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 16, 2018, 05:38:30 PM

Yes, bitcoin is death indeed Smiley

Was the death of my 'wage slave' job, I retired yesterday Jan 14th...all due to BTC....living on mining revenue and in HODL mode on BTC and other cryptos...

Spent today, puttering around the house doing chores....been a wage slave so long..kinda clueless on how to approach this...retiring early stuff...

kinda surreal in fact...., on what to do...I've no clue, yet, in that, once you wake up retired...everything suddenly is OPTIONAL..you need to do that day!

....clueless presently...but I'll figure it out!

Congrats!

of course by doing so have broke all crypto (sorry about that)

now panic selling some LTC in case (tax man needs his $$ eventually for 2017)

so yeah...I'm off to a fun start!

Did you sell everything, all your 100 bitcoins?
38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: January 16, 2018, 05:38:47 AM
Where can I find the new distribution method?
Is it out?
I can't find it in the Tony's posts.

It looks like the new one will distribute the left byte via email/textcoin?
What about the Gbyte holders?
https://byteball.org/ -> conditions and timer for next Distribution

The classical distribution to Byte and BTC holder will slowly fade out:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1608859.msg24965637#msg24965637

The focus is shifting towards focus marketing / sponsoring:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1608859.msg28047149#msg28047149

Textcoin will surely be an important tool for transporting Byteball into the real world.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1608859.msg27855312#msg27855312

Does that mean the new distribution method will switch to those responsible for marketing / sponsoring, and eventually exclude everyone else?
39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [BOUNTY][AIRDROP] The Crypto University. on: January 16, 2018, 05:19:25 AM
Why doesn't the OP include a bitcointalk signature campaign bounty? That's probably the best way of generating publicity for a coin.
