I only hope wasn't a transaction of your. And this also wasn't a notary node. Why would 8000+ KMD in a block be a problem?

The blockchain was not under attack, it is similar to a DOS attack at the network level. Still not sure exactly how a killer packet was created, but a fix for the crashing is already updated in github. I estimate about 10% of nodes were affected.
If you are having crashes, just update and it should be fine. We are still testing the hotfix version, but the change was very small so it should be fine.
No funds were at risk, just annoyance of having to restart a node, but if you are in the process of syncing, it would likely make it much more difficult to do so as if it is crashed it wont sync.
I made a "git pull" then "./zcutil/build.sh" as usual, but now komodod segfault on start: ```0 of 1 illegal baseid.-1 insufficient fee 0.001 vs 0.0000000 flags.-606286697 keylen.37261 valuesize.65479 height.-1675782273 (a0 c4 e7) (3b 33 31) ``` This message was from a few hours ago, but approximately same message now after "git pull" saus me "up to date" Should I delete the db and restart sync from scratch?

I'd like to know why "listunspent" shows the same address several times? As I can see, the "scriptPubKey" parameter differs, but I don't know what it's all about... How can I have only once each address with "listunspent"?
They are individual inputs, there can be hundreds or even thousands depending on how many inputs etc you have. OK, understood. Thanks. I've sent all BITS to one new address. Is there a command to show the balance of each address of the wallet?

I'm interested in an exchange, but not the nova one...

It is running fine for me and I don't even have a config file ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Could you please list what peers you are connected with? ("battlestarcoind getpeerinfo")
|
|
|
battlestarcoind has no connections for 2 or 3 days now, even after deleting peers.dat
In my .batl/batl.conf, I have this: connect=104.236.90.114:16914 connect=104.223.1.20:16914 connect=159.203.94.165:16914
Has someone other IPs?

The latest release of the decentralised bitsquare exchange was posted yesterday and includes Battlestars. Please download and let us know what you think of this platform. It's a great piece of software, but there's not enough people trading on it :-(

- Click the receive tab to get a list of your addresses and amounts
- Then visit http://explorer.bitstarcoin.com and search the address, make sure its correct both in the search and in the richlist
- Then confirm on here that all look good.
Is it possible to explain how to do these steps with the command line, please?

It's up and running, dev moved it over the weekend to a dedicated server to improve the performance. Thank you for the answer :-)

Consolidation is the process of sending multiple inputs as a single output back to yourself.
Most PoS coins suffer from the problem of excessive inputs being created as the staking process splits up the address balance over and over again and the staking amounts become smaller.
In time you can end up with thousands of inputs which can cause a send to fail because the transaction size in bytes becomes too large.
Coin Control is an optional check box under preference which, once ticked, will show a button labelled 'inputs' on the send screen. This opens up another screen showing all the input transactions which make up the balance for that address. If you were to send the balance back to yourself the number of inputs returns to one.
If the number of inputs is excessive and you try and process a send which fails you need to reduce the number of inputs which the transaction consists of. This is done by selecting a batch of inputs manually and sending the amount of coins they add up to, which will be displayed when you have selected them and then clicked on the OK button in that screen. The Send screen will show you the details automatically based on the number of inputs you have selected. If you send the total amount it shows for that selection of inputs then they will all be sent and consolidated into the one input as I described.
As for trying to accomplish the same thing through battlestarcoind, I wouldn't know unfortunately. I'll ask the dev if he can help.
Thank you very much for these explanations :-) Waiting for the answers for battlestarcoind, as it runs on a debian "Xless" and headless server...

I have had my wallet staking almost 24/7 since it was released.
Have you been regularly consolidating the outputs in coin control (assuming you have coin control enabled in preferences)? What does this mean: "consolidating the outputs"? And what is "coin control"? What daemon command is matching this preference? I don't see anything looking like this using "battlestarcoind help"... If not, can you check and post what transaction count you have in send>inputs
Again, what daemon command is matching this? If anybody else has been staking regularly please do let us know what numbers you currently have for transaction inputs and if you consolidate them occasionally or not.
I'm staking 24/7 from the begining too and did nothing else than staking. Should I have "consolidate"? How?

Thank you for that start pack, which works fine for linux, but... it seems I'm on a new blockchain now as I lost ALL of my BITS :-( $ bitstard getinfo { "version" : "v1.4.0.0-adgr-fs", "protocolversion" : 60010, "walletversion" : 60000, "balance" : 0.00000000, "newmint" : 0.00000000, "stake" : 0.00000000, "blocks" : 1683098, "moneysupply" : 21696618.17575000, "connections" : 4, [...] "difficulty" : 0.94240725, "testnet" : false, "keypoololdest" : 1432841078, "keypoolsize" : 102, "paytxfee" : 0.00100000, You can lose your bits only if you have lost your bits wallet.dat. If you still have original file copy then youre just fine. Usually when you have forked from main chain wallet will show wrong balance and when you manage to get back to main chain just typing repaiwallet to rpc console gets your original balance back. Hope this helps you! May also be worth trying repairwallet That did the trick! Thanks also too, Mark81 :-)

Alsow i have noticed http://bitstarcoin.com/ have been down for days now and if you go to https://www.blockexperts.com/bits# you can see the last block is 1670717 witch is 3days ago now, what is happening with BITS is it getting abandoned or are things being looked into? some updated info would be nice on whats going on. I can't sync neither and my last block is also 1670717 (1 active connection). BITS and BATL lack communication...

Hi, I have found my wallet that I had since 2 years ago, a wallet.dat file, I would like to download the client and sync it to stake some coins but im too paranoid to downloaded to .exe from mediafire website.
How do I compile the source code in windows?
You're not so paranoid if you still use windows... ;-)

Now BITS is frozen on Poloniex, and my deposit still not credited :-(
