21  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are we ready for another price bump? Reminder for the shortsighted people. :-> on: October 02, 2019, 06:46:47 AM
On 6th of July 2019 the Bitcoin price was hovering around $7700 and within 20 days it went up to almost $12600+ and nobody even anticipated that it might happen. This was just over 2 months ago and a lot of people with a very short memory are already panicking and selling their coins.  Roll Eyes  https://www.blockchain.com/charts/market-price?timespan=1year

I am posting this as a reminder to those people with a short memory that things in Bitcoin change at a very rapid pace and if you are too focused on the immediate price, you might just miss out on the next big price bump.  Wink

Also remember that we were playing around with a $3000 to $4000 Bitcoin price back in January, so it is not the end of the world, if we see a little correction.  Grin

Buy low and hoard those coins, you will not be disappointed if you do. <It might take 1 month or even 3 years, but I would rather be prepared ...than jumping the ship and being out of coins when it happens.>  Roll Eyes
At this point anyone who is still holding Bitcoin understands the corrections in price that will occur and are emotionally stable enough not to be overwhelmed by the large price dips that are bound to happen. I think that we could definitely see a bump in price within the following few months, but then again, we really don't know what is going to happen with the oncoming global recession which will most likely have a serious impact on Bitcoin.

I would definitely say that this a good time to invest into Bitcoin with the large price reduction we saw in the previous few weeks, and holding it would be the best option.
22  Economy / Economics / Re: CASHING OUT YOUR CRYPTO-CURRENCY PROFITS on: October 01, 2019, 01:02:43 PM
It really all depends on the country you live in and the regulations surrounding cryptocurrencies. Most countries have begun to crackdown on cryptocurrency taxes and if you have no problem paying the high taxation rate then there is surely no reason for the government to be suspicious. Of course you would need to show proof of your transactions and it would also be good to ensure that the person who is paying you is doing so with legitimate money to reduce your personal risk, however, this is almost impossible to do.

If you are unsure about whether you will be able to deposit money safely, the easiest thing to do would be opening multiple bank accounts in different banks and depositing a small amount into each of them to reduce the risk of suspicion.
23  Economy / Economics / Re: How Will The Upcoming Recession Affect Bitcoin? on: October 01, 2019, 12:53:38 PM
The recession effects everybody and everything within the economy and therefore will have a major effect on cryptocurrencies. During this period, economic growth tanks, disposable incomes reduce drastically and many people lose their jobs. As a result of this, Bitcoin is negatively effected due to panic selling that will occur, driving the prices of bitcoin down further when accompanied by the lack of demand, caused by the loss of savings in the economy.

Ultimately, the recession will definitely have a negative impact on bitcoin, however, it may serve as an entrance into the cryptocurrency world for some due to the reduced value of most cryptos. Those who do invest in a recession would most likely see a large increase in their investment after economic growth stabilizes.
24  Economy / Economics / Re: Venezuela's central bank is holding Cryptocurrency! on: October 01, 2019, 10:52:10 AM
According to the latest information from Bitcoin.com, they have reported on this. I don't know if this is a bad effect or a good effect on the market? Everyone can make a point here.
I think this is a clear sign that cryptocurrency is headed in the right direction and its good to see a country which such high inflation investing into crypto as a means for retaining wealth instead of more stable options such as gold or other valuable materials. Additionally, this creates more demand for crypto and helps increase their value which in turns benefits anyone who has invested into it.

Overall, this increases the chance of widespread adoption of cryptocurrencies, in fact, I am sure that many central banks would be holding cryptocurrencies but have not revealed this information. If countries around the world showed that their government/central bank was holding cryptocurrencies, the demand and value of them would skyrocket.
25  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin cross 3K USD this year? on: October 01, 2019, 10:24:47 AM
It seems to bear market. Should I hold BTC now?
Bitcoin is a long term investment. Holding is the best option no matter what price you purchased bitcoin for and there is almost no chance that it falls below 3k USD this year. Even in periods of falling value, it always returns to a stable point due to the cycle of crypto, similar to the economic cycle.

Another option which would be viable is distributing your bitcoin into other assets or altcoins which you believe have a better chance of increasing in value, however, this can be risky if you do not know what you're doing. Trading your bitcoin may provide an alternative to holding but requires a solid understanding of the market and shouldn't be attempted without prior research.
26  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can more ATM's increase adoption for Bitcoin? on: October 01, 2019, 03:07:15 AM
The only real purpose these ATM's serve is to advertise Bitcoin around the world and provide a talking point. Ultimately, they are just gimmicks and anyone who knows anything about Bitcoin would never purchase from these ATM's unless it was an emergency. The premium on these is solely placed on the customer, making them almost obsolete with services such as localbitcoins available in most countries around the globe.

However, if these ATM's became reasonably priced, I do believe that Bitcoin adoption would increase due to the added convenience and security when dealing with a listed company compared to another individual.
27  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Should move to BTC? on: October 01, 2019, 02:47:29 AM
Hi guys ! Thats a question i do to myself very often , and it always looks like the right answer. My main coin for now its XRP (like 3000) and a very few BTC (0.005).

I hold XRP from long time but i see BTC price raise a lot and XRP don't do much. They have a consolidated project but no matters what BTC price its still mandatory.

So the question is , should i sold like 2500XRP and buy BTC when this one have a price drop?

I know its something i had to decide myself , just looking for what you guys think.
Thanks!
If you invested into XRP, there must have been a reason behind it. XRP and Bitcoin are both long term investments that require some amount of patience, really the question you have to ask yourself is which one you believe has the ability to increase in value. Many may argue that Bitcoin is the only viable cryptocurrency due to its dominance in the industry, however, emerging technologies are clearly showing the flaws of Bitcoin and provide solutions for these.

This is a decision that only you can make, every person here has their own agenda and beliefs on what will occur in the future, but no one really knows.
28  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Meet the Wealthiest People in Crypto on: September 30, 2019, 02:41:18 PM
It is interesting to seen how the amounts are flowing in the top wallets and where its ending up and for how long.
Im sure the most individuals that are in the top100 wont let the world know they own the private key.
That would be the smart thing to do.

Some people don't realize the dangers of having this information in the public eye, and this is something many can understand even though we do not wield the wealth of these crypto millionaires.
To be honest, forbes releasing this sort of article only serves to endanger those listed, in reality, no one really cares about who they are and this is an act of flaunting wealth to gain relevance.

Are you ok with used cards or only new in box ones?

I have a 1060 3gb like new. I bought it new and only used it for a few weeks since I got a great deal on a 1080 soon after. I would be willing to part with it for 0.05 btc
Yeah... I'll buy it for about half that price if you're in Australia.
34  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] 1080TI EVGA ICX on: January 19, 2019, 11:18:57 AM
Still for sale?
Had been messaging him for a couple of weeks and then suddenly lost contact. Shows up as online, but no response to personal messages. At least for me...
35  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: evga 1080 ti sc2 icx on: January 06, 2019, 10:36:52 AM
cause i don't know what escrow is..................

honestly i know this site deals in bitcoin nd stuff, but not everyone knows that type of market
You have to adapt to the norms of this site. Not accepting escrow usually means you will never get a sale and may even get tagged for attempted scam with a newbie account.

No escrow = Scam 99% of the time. (Unless it is a trusted user)

@OP, what is your reason for not allowing escrow?

Are you looking for used or new units ? if you are looking for new units you are buy at a bulk discount via here Sapphire RX 580 8 gb They have 1080 TI available as well
Pretty weird how if you search 'gshenusa' in Google, the second link is to a Bitcointalk thread.
40  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB] Gtx 1080 ti on: January 02, 2019, 10:33:49 AM
NVidia has been sold out at $699 for a very long time. You cannot purchase a 1080TI from NVidia through that link and haven't been able to for awhile. You missed the most important part of that entire link "Out of Stock". That's why you see them selling for nearly double that if they're still in the box with a warranty.
Agreed, I should have included that. If they are brand new, people sell them for insane prices. But once used, the prices become a lot more reasonable.
If you are on a budget, i told you about that store that they can match you the price you are looking for if your requirement is refurbished units otherwise it's hard to find brand new models for the a reasonable price
Site looks extremely dodgy imo.
