21  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Navarrete Vs Berinchyk Vacant WBO World Lightweight Title May 18 2024 on: May 19, 2024, 11:56:05 PM
@coin-investor - scores were, 115-113 Berinchyk, 116-112 Navarrete and 116-112 Berinchyk.

But I do agree that we have been overshadowed by the Usyk vs Fury mania that we forget this fight. Navarette is moving up in weight and for the WBO belt. I was shocked by the result though, I thought that Navarette will be doing good as he doesn't need to drain himself at 130 lbs.

So it's a double celebration for Ukraine, as both of their fighters won, Usyk - unified Heavyweight, and now we have Berinchyk - WBO Lightweight. And last week we have Lomachenko winning the IBF Lightweight. We now have 2 Ukrainian champion at 135 lbs.
22  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Drake curse strikes again, rapper loses on Fury, Usyk bet on: May 19, 2024, 11:38:22 PM
As Usyk knocked down Fury in the ninth round, Drake lost $565000 in the hope to win $1 million.

https://punchmetro.com/drake-curse-strikes-again-rapper-loses-on-fury-usyk-bet/?utm_source=punch&utm_medium=punch_backlink

I think he should go after other sport as he is losing in boxing.

I mean it's not only Jake that loses big money in that fight, Fury is the favorite so it's a easy bet and the odds are very attractive so I wouldn't blame Drake or anyone who put a bet on him. Unfortunately, Usyk is the better fighter that night. Others might call it a curse as obviously Drake is a high profile celebrity and putting big bet. But there could also be others who bet bigger than him in millions and also got that big L.

He can still continue with his gambling though, as he continues to stream with Stake about this favorite game, which is the roulette wheel with single 0.
23  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Devin Haney vs Ryan Garcia on April 20 on: May 19, 2024, 11:11:51 PM
Yes, let's talk about that, Errol barking on him I mean WTF? unless Errol really wanted a piece of Ryan now as he is the cash cow and obviously Errol wanted big fights after that devastating lost to Spence. And for sure Ryan wanted all the attention that he is getting right?

And regardless what will be the outcome, this guys is a great for boxing, perhaps if he is cleared then he might really be looking for a Errol Spence fight or someone that can give him big purse.

Ryan Garcia vs Errol Spence will depend on the outcome of Ryan's B sample because if found positive that he is taking PEDs then most likely some sanctions will be given to him thus jeopardizing this proposed fight. But if Ryan comes clean then I think Garcia vs Spence will be big for both as like you said, Spence needs a big fight after that devastating loss to Crawford.

The result of the B sample from Ryan will be coming out in 2 days. I can't fight the link though, but I have seen and heard him saying that he doesn't give a f**k about what the result are. And then blurted out that he will put a boxing league of his own. Not sure if he is serious or what, but that is going to be a crazy idea again coming from Garcia.

Bill Haney then responded that what Ryan wanted is to established a boxing organization that will allow the used of Peds, LOL.

We will see then, it seems that Ryan is anticipating that his B sample will also be positive.
24  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul to Fight Mike Tyson in Live Netflix Boxing Event - July 20 on: May 19, 2024, 10:47:56 PM
80's Mike Tyson post-fight interview is really one of a kind, "I'm gonna rip his heart" comments. And if this happens in today's era, for sure Tyson will get a lot of backlash with this cancel society.

But I guess he just mellow it down in this fight, but still though, his language is controversial, but boxing fans love to see the old Mike Tyson back with that kind of statement and it could be added to his savage moments.
You see, he created a pathway for himself and, when the time was right, he made unforgettable legacies... These already made legacies sold his career to the highest point and he swam in a pool of victory throughout his prime... that can never be the case today anyways!

So I'd readily agree that whatever he does today - about him defeating Jake would just be him acting up on his own path to revive his income sources, and also creating more fame on Jake!
What aren't we expecting? Tow billionaires made an arrangement to fight themselves over nothing, talkmore of an ex fighter? He's gonna lose anyway.

Not sure if they can be considered billionaires though, and the main reason that they fighting? It's because of the money obviously. It was reported that Mike Tyson will received $20 million here, maybe Jake Paul even more as his company MVP is also part of this big event.

So in any case, this fight is obviously still considered a entertainment despite the rules is somewhat of boxing.

No question about Mike's legacy, but in this era of boxing, specially around 2005-2010, boxers become concern of how much money they are going to get, unlike around the 80's to early 00's, the goal is to fight the best.
25  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ POLL ] The Unification Fight: FURY vs USYK 18th MAY 2024 re-scheduled on: May 19, 2024, 10:32:08 PM
I don't know if there's any official boxing rule saying that a boxer needs to drop to the ground (or kneel etc) before he can be considered knocked down and the counting can begin, but if it's up for the referee to decide, then I see no controversy re the round 9 situation.
Tyson was in trouble but he was conscious, so stopping the fight would be completely wrong, and I don't think Fury would necessarily be KO'd cold if the referee didn't step in. Anything could've happened, but, to me, it looked like Fury was about to drop on his knee before he noticed the ref got between himself and Usyk.
This doesn't matter though, as Usyk has still won, and during the post-fight interview, he wasn't bothered by the situation at all.
I haven't seen the full fight yet, only the extensive highlights, but think Usyk won fair and square. The rematch should be really exciting.

Well. It's already over and Usyk won. But there will be lots of talk about it. Because it is just unusual to count 10 when there is no knockdown. It may not matter to us but for some boxers, they keep that in mind. And they wouldn't be talking about a rematch if Fury dropped cold and there is no way the score would look like it's a very close fight.

I actually thought the ref stepped in to stop the fight and it's a TKO. lol

It's obvious that the referee didn't know what to do with it, maybe he was thinking of stopping that fight, but then decided for a standing 10 count like in the amateurs, LOL. But it obvious that Uysk won, I do agree, what the hell is the other judges winning and giving it to Fury?

And with that, there is a rematch, so another big money fight, but Fury took damage here so not sure how he will get back from this kind of psychological beating from Usyk. And yeah, we all know what he doesn't want to look at Usyk's eye because he is afraid and be intimidate by that scary looks.
26  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Memecoin Gambling verses Normal Gambling - which is more profitable? on: May 18, 2024, 11:43:18 PM
Hi everyone,

This is something I've been thinking about for a while now, I thought it wise to ask here to see what you all think afterall.

Anyone who truly understands what investing really is, would or will agree with me that investing in memecoin currently, most especially on the Solana and Base blockchain; have become a gambling on its own, I've tried both normal gambling, and gambling on memecoin on the Solana blockchain, and I can't really tell, which is more profitable.

What I know is that, I lost on both, I placed bets on some sports games, I lost most and won a few, and just few days, I decide to try Solana memes, I lost all the money I used as capital for buying those meme coins, I lost all same day.

So, I've brought a few questions..
1. If you are into Solana meme coins as well as; engage in normal gambling, which has been more profitable to you?

I might be biased as I know that there is a lot of meme coins including Solana, but I don't deal with them, so I guess my answer will be gambling.

2. Assume you are not into any of the above, which would you prefer to get into if you are asked to choose one? And also explain why..

I think I will still be gambling, as least I have total control on what team I'm going to bet if it is sports betting. As for luck based game, chances to lose are high but there are still that element of luck and who knows, maybe you hit the jackpot. And even if you don't win, perhaps you get your money's worth and enjoy and have some fun. As opposed to investing in meme coins, maybe you can't sleep at night thinking about your investments are clearly it could be manipulated and then waking up seeing all your money went to drain. And it's going to be very hard to swallow and accept that you have been played by this pump and dump individuals.
27  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: May 18, 2024, 11:16:49 PM
Last weekend, we saw the great Lomachenko became champion again by methodically breaking down ex unified champion George Kambosos. I want to see Loma retiring. He has nothing to prove in this division and I highly doubt he unifies all the belts as he is already running out of time.

I still believed he still has a couple of fights inside of him, maybe a Davis or Shakur might will cemented his legacy. Just imagine if Loma at this age will beat both of those young and great fighters.

It's too early for him to retire, if he wants to make more money, then he should take the opportunity to earn that while he is now the champion. It would be easier for him to find an opponent since he is a champion, maybe if he lose that's the time for retire, but for now, he should have a big fight next.  Davis or Shakur are good but I prefer to see Davis as the latter is very popular than Shakur, and imagine if Loma would beat him.
Yes, and it seems that will be the plan by Bob Arum for Loma, either to give him Tank Davis, which is a good matchup for Loma as we will see against this technical skills against a power puncher like Davis. Or Shakur Stevenson, although others doesn't like this matchup because Shakur is someone who plays defense and it could be boring and a snoozefest fight for boxing fans. So hopefully, after the Tank Davis fight and he won against Frank Martin, Top Rank will wait and open a discussions with Team Davis so that him and Loma can fight maybe at the end of the year.

It's because that is the logical fight for Loma this point in his career. Admit it or not, although he says that he still wanted to be a unified champion everything boils down to money as what Bob Arum says. And this is the only fighters that can give Loma millions again and so this is what Arum wanted for Loma.

I do think that it could be a smooth negotiations for either of the two, even if Shakur doesn't want to renew his contract although it could be a bottle neck as Shakur might want to get more what Arum will offer to him.
28  Economy / Speculation / Re: Road to 100k? on: May 18, 2024, 10:53:56 PM
right, before the halving the price of bitcoin reached an ATH in the range of $73k, and maybe after the halving you and most people thought bitcoin would reach a much higher ATH. but in reality it is not like that because after the halving begins the price of bitcoin tends to fall and stabilize.

It's not that it will stabilized, as you can it's more of a sideways pattern after the halving. And also, you have to take into consideration the mempool congestion that time. Now it's clear and so the price tends to gravitate to $70,000 currently.

When this thread was created maybe $100k seemed very achievable, but for now and in the near future $100k looks very difficult to achieve. We'll see until the momentum of this halving ends, whether Bitcoin can reach $100k or not.

It is still achievable, I'm not sure how long have been in the market, but it will take months before the effect of the halving will be felt. And you will be surprised how the market moves, this is a bull run year and so great things are to be expected. I understand your skepticism and there are lot of members here who thought that after the halving we will have instant parabolic rise. It's not like that, the market will have to gather momentum first before we can zoom and I will ask you to stay and observed at least at the end of the year and see where we are.
29  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul to Fight Mike Tyson in Live Netflix Boxing Event - July 20 on: May 18, 2024, 10:19:45 PM
I didn’t think I would wake up to videos of Mile Tyson saying that he got an erection watching a 16 year old Jake Paul do tik tok dances, but here we are. As sick and twisted as that statement is, it’s somewhat refreshing to have an insane Mile Tyson back saying insanely gay things to terrify his opponents. I almost forgot what it was like. Lol

I was wondering if we would get to see the Mike Tyson from the Lennox Lewis press conference who called a reporter a punk ass white boy and threatened to rape him until he loved him. He is known for saying truly unhinged things but this comment about 16 year old Jake Paul just came off as really weird. I’m not sure if that’s exactly what he said, it’s unclear from his mumbling and stuttering, but that’s what was written in all the headlines. Just when you think this clown show reached its peak level of ridiculousness, something even stupider comes out.

The "fuck you til you love me faggot" comment from Mike Tyson was pretty crazy at the time.  Probably more crazy than his erection comment if we're being honest, but in today's world where celebrities and politicians being into kids is running rampant, this probably wasn't the best look for Tyson.  It really displayed the difference in times that these two fighters were raised.  Tyson's trash talk which is absolutely terrifying because I think he's being real, comes off as gay and bigoted in today's world.  I can only imagine what was going through Jake's head when Tyson said that.  "WTF" would be my guess.

30  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Demo account on: May 18, 2024, 09:52:08 PM
Learning trading on demo account is not really necessary to a newbie who wants to trade. The truth of the matter is as a newbie acquire the essential skills on trading and start with what you can afford to lose.A friend on mine that's into forex trading, started with a demo account and when his faced the reality that was when he knew he had been playing with demo.

You have a point because as far as I know, old and traditional traders when they started in crypto, didn't have this kind of advantage on using a demo account. We just go and learn everything by going full trading in our first day and learn everything from experience and what not and that makes this trader really battle tested as they have to start from ground up before this demo account and bots that has been prevalent since 2018 if I'm not mistaken.

Nothing is wrong with using demo account, but as I have mentioned, the real test is really playing with real money and then making the correct (or wrong decision) during your trading experience.
31  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🏆 AnonBet.net - No-KYC Slots and Sports Betting with Bitcoin [20 FREE SPINS] 🏆 on: May 18, 2024, 09:33:47 PM
Address first the withdrawal issues by some members who have won already and from what I understand, no one can still withdraw their winnings from your casinos.

Otherwise, gamblers here are not going to play with your platform obviously, even if you says that you are a no-KYC slots and sports betting site. Of course, privacy matters to us, but if we can't withdraw then there's no point in playing in your casinos.
32  Other / Off-topic / Re: Floyd Mayweather detained in Dubai due to gambling debts? on: May 18, 2024, 09:16:13 PM
It does not matter if this is an old news or not. What is interesting about the is that our celebrities have a gambling problem. Well some are known others are hidden from the public. Or at least for now I know of Micheal Jordan problem I also know of drake's gambling problem. I cannot categorically tell if they are struggling with gambling addiction, however what is clear is that there is a problem they have with gambling.

Still matter though, I mean why would someone brought it up? It's because they want views and clicks and most it could be fake because as others have pointed out, Floyd is rich and like Dana White who admitted that he has gambling addiction, they can do anything with their money to begin with.

Of course it just shows that everyone could really fall into gambling addiction, sport personalities and average joe. But what's this people got that we don't have is that they have more money to gamble and they are in the spotlight and so there could be several individuals who are going to take advantage of their gambling and post it in their social media. I check Tank Davis Twitter account and I don't see him saying anything about Floyd's gambling.
33  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ POLL ] The Unification Fight: FURY vs USYK 18th MAY 2024 re-scheduled on: May 17, 2024, 11:52:27 PM
Right, when we have seen recently about fighters having a long stare-down of 3-4 minutes and I thought this will be the new trend obviously you wanted to look at your opponents eye and try to intimidate him somewhat and read what's on his mind.
I have a question to ask the experts since I have been thinking of it since I saw the headline, How can the weight of the fighter affect his fight?

Tyson Fury's weight was reported as 262lbs while his Oleksandr Usyk weighed 233.5lbs which is less than Fury's weight. Does lighter weight make you a better boxer who will find it easier to move, or does light weight mean that punches have lesser power? I am a bit confused, help me understand.

news

I'm not a boxing expert but I will just throw my my sats here,

a. lighter fighter might have the advantage as far as movement goes, and Usyk might have a advantage as he can move around and get away from Fury's power. But also remember that Usyk is not a natural HW, is is just a blown up CW.

b. heavier boxer in his case Fury will have the more power obviously, and he can used his weight to sap all the energy of Usyk as he might try to muscle him up in the clinch. And additional weight might only means that he can take the power of Usyk and not be affected by it.

Well Jake Paul started it when he said that he wanted to kiss Mike Tyson's lip,

https://www.youtube.com/shorts/xFLaptG2iNs

LOL, but it was really uncomfortable hearing what Tyson says though and then the reaction of the crowd was funny, awkward silence with some boo's.

But this is the old and classic Mike Tyson, remember when he said that "I want your heart, I'm gonna eat your children". The interviewer was also shock when he heard this explosive stuff coming from Mike's mouth.
35  Economy / Economics / Re: This Will make you rich on: May 16, 2024, 01:01:21 PM
You need to be special though to be on that 1%. So just look at yourself and see what have like Elon Musk, Bill Gates or even Carlos Slim have in common? So yeah, they are special and could have look at different problems and find the solution for the majority of us.

And there are a lot of books already about the self made billionaire, but still though, it's hard to have that kind of mindset in the beginning and have the will to push no matter what obstacles they have before becoming successful.
36  Economy / Speculation / Re: I believe Bitcoin will surge to new heights after this dip on: May 16, 2024, 06:13:03 AM
The fate of bitcoin doesn't depend on a single authority whether whoever that influencer mentioned in OP or news from a certain country like US. It will have it's influence but its not the entire thing is my point.

As of now we crossed 66K already and at this pace 72K is just a couple of days to reach but I have a strong feeling that we yet to see another correction before the actual bull lands.
Or you can just look at the market and see that the movement is a pattern that would likely be recreated from past price movements, that's what most of these institutions and crypto influencers are basing their predictions on, they're not on some kind of baseless prediction so you don't have to be too skeptical about how they're doing their things. I can agree with you about not having any full correction yet though, I think that there's going to be a really big price correction coming, I guess we just need to split up all of the money that we're using for investment just so we can cover that possibility.

Let's just wait though, as per what I read, it was due to the good news that the inflation rate is somewhat slowing down in the US. And with that, the whales and retail investors moving in because of this positive news.

First order of the day though is not $72,000 but $70,000. This whole number is somewhat hard to break, but once we got into a good momentum and reach that price then obviously the next jump will be a new all time high next month.
37  Economy / Gambling / Re: What is the Worst online Casino you've played on so far? on: May 16, 2024, 05:30:46 AM
It was one casino that I used to play, recommended to me by a friend here. And so everything started well as I used to bet more on tennis games and I love that site. Unfortunately, it turns out to be a scam site in the end.

And it I'm not mistaken, I would say it gain some reputation here because I have seen a lot of gamblers also play on them and it was like a second tier gambling sites. But we really don't know this kind of sites though, who started to be great and getting traction until they pull the scam and then they suddenly exited with some players have money on their gambling platform. I forget the name though, but it was pre-pandemic online casinos.
38  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Devin Haney - Sandor Martin Ordered By WBC For The Light Welterweight Title on: May 16, 2024, 05:03:56 AM
I think Haney will be able to regain himself here. I don't see his opponent to be dangerous to be honest because he has a low KO rate.

based on https://boxrec.com/en/box-pro/578364... out of 42 wins, he only have 15 KO, and he has 3 losses already. So I believe this fighter is not really a threat to Haney, this might look like a tune up fight for Haney to get back in the game, but he is not the same fighter anymore as he was already beaten by Ryan Garcia.

I agree that Martin is not a threat Devin Haney if we consider his knockout ratio but this is the boxer that gave Teofimo Lopez a hard time when the latter move up to this division. I hope though that Martin could duplicate his performance when he fought Lopez so that we can see a competitive fight because if not then this could be a sort of a tune-up fight for Haney which he badly needed by now after that humiliation he suffered against Ryan Garcia.

Hehehe this will certainly be considered a tune up fight by the team of Devin Haney. However, this Sandor might be difficult. Haney has to prove that he is not a pillow hands. King Ry was not afraid to take a punch in his face to give a punch on Haney to get the knockdowns. I reckon Sandor might use a similar tactic. Let Haney come and Sandor will counter punch.

Unfortunately, he proved that he is a feather fisted fighter, was not able to put Garcia in the canvass, while Ryan knock him down 3x, first time in his career to taste the canvass and Haney was not the same anymore.

Also, is this not very much premature for Devin Haney to fight after the very embarrassing loss against King Ry? He should get 1 year vacation before returning. His father Bill should stop him.

Right but if WBC is mandated him to defend his belt or more likely strip of it, then I think they don't have a choice but to go and accept this fight the sooner. But as we have been saying, Sandor Martin might be a dangerous fighter for Haney as his comeback fight after that humiliating lost from King Ry.
39  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul to Fight Mike Tyson in Live Netflix Boxing Event - July 20 on: May 16, 2024, 04:34:47 AM
Good for Darren Till to have found a way for his new career, he could be making huge money in boxing if he can make an impressive win. To which I'm not so sure since Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. is definitely an experienced boxer. But who knows, this could be a new beginning for Till.

It could be a disappointing match but it could add to the PPV sales.

It’s impressive how long Chavez Jr. has managed to milk his father’s name and legacy. He had a somewhat lackluster championship reign a decade ago and somehow went on to fight Canelo and is still being featured on these big cards. The loss to 46 year old Anderson Silva should have made it clear he needs to retire, yet here he still is, being used as a stepping stone for an MMA fighter they will try to market as a credible opponent for Jake Paul in the near future. I guess the Dana White saying is true “cocaine isn’t cheap”, which is the only explanation for why he continues to disgrace his family name for a few bucks.

Well he had the name so in the beginning there was a lot of hype on him and winning fights. But when he started to up the tempo and fighting good boxers, he was exposed and so it started the whole story that he is not that great as his father and you can see the frustrations of JCC Sr.

It's obvious that he still needed money at this point, could be living the lavish lifestyle that he started when he was winning and having great money. And with that, you can't blame him just like what Mike Tyson is doing, millions in just one fight that could give him a good future. At least Jr is still making decent money in his failed boxing career.
40  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why People Naturally Chase loses in gambling.. on: May 16, 2024, 04:10:02 AM
One of the reason why many gamblers naturally chase after their lose is due to one thing that is built into every game known as the "near miss effect", after every loss, a near miss effect makes our brain believe that a win is very close, and this automatically makes the player to keep playing and playing, even while he or she is losing, his or her brain convinces itself that a jackpot is just around the corner, this makes the player keep playing until he or she discovers that his or her bankroll is empty, this is when anger and regret usually sets in, you begin to feel like you were not really yourself all that time you were gambling, like you were hypnotized or something, and you only regained consciousness of yourself when you have already gambled all your money away.

Near hit or near miss, although they can be differentiate, but I think for a gambling it is almost the same. The same feeling that let's say in a slot machine, you got 2 of the bonus round features and so you put more money because you wanted to experience what the bonus is.

And so there is that psychology that this slot operators put in their machine and then gamblers are going to be attracted to it and as you described as like being hypnotized and wanting to play over and over again and you don't have any control of yourself. And even if you lose all the money, you are still not satisfied and will continue to deposit until you hit that bonus round.
