21  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino Gambling vs Sport Betting, Lets Discuss on: May 21, 2024, 12:00:44 PM
Both are gambling but are different types.

That's the beauty of gambling: we have a lot to choose from. Personally, I am more interested in sports betting as I find it challenging. Casino gambling is fun, don't get me wrong, but I believe the people who say that you can never beat a casino because it has a house edge. So, if I gamble in a casino, I'm just doing it for fun. I'm not expecting a lot, as I know the house edge will make me lose in the long run.

Back to sports betting, I only bet on the sports that I know and love, which gives me a lot of entertainment value. It also convinces me that I can win in sports betting as long as I develop my skills in handicapping.
22  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is boxing the worst sport to bet on? on: May 21, 2024, 08:33:52 AM
It was not only in boxing that corruption appears, it is also in other sports, they are not just too bulgar to see where we can tell that they are doing it now.
To the question if it is still worth to bet? Well, I still consider it worthy unless the fight is already manipulated. For now, it was still a good sport for me but not sure in the future if corruption and manipulation will at worse.

Besides, I don't bet just for money and winning opportunities but I bet in support of my favorite boxer. And since I am a sports lover, I don't mind if there is corruption inside as I enjoy watching the fight.
23  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: No risk no gain on: May 20, 2024, 09:54:48 PM
When someone invests of course they will always be faced with risks and they must be able to understand well the investments they make in order to minimize the risks they will face in the investments they make, when we can learn from our previous failures of course this will give us good experience so that you don't repeat the same mistakes when you try again, in investing of course we have to have good planning so that we can get results in accordance with the targets we have set, because without good planning it will certainly be very difficult to carry out investments well.

One needs to have good enough knowledge to be able to minimize the risks attached to an investment because you can't have a good plan if you don't have enough knowledge, and you can only have enough knowledge if you spend enough time learning about the things you are going to get involved in.

Most people make this mistake when they are entering the cryptocurrency market, they are in a rush to make investments and start earning money and in this rush, they forget the most important thing which is to gain knowledge before they get started, and this makes them have a hard time.

If you gain enough knowledge beforehand, you won't face difficulties when you start making investments or trades.
A lack of preparation makes someone a fool and most likely end up losing their money. If this person never changes his style and market approach, I couldn't think about success but rather expect failure. Yes, we better look at our mistakes in the fast and make this a reason why we should be careful next time and give extra effort to study the market well because investing is not all about money but it is more about strategies and approaches. If some people lose their money because of a lack of knowledge, then we have to do something not to be like them. It is not difficult to do that since information is available already, we only need time and make it serious because every mistake we make can turn our investment fail.
24  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How you trade in uncertain times? on: May 20, 2024, 09:31:20 PM
We all know how volatile the market is right now especially since we are still near the all-time high. With sudden price swings and unpredictable trends, traders need to be ready with some strategies.
So, what strategies can you advise especially in protecting our capital, some technical analysis strategies? OR some diversification tactics between stablecoins, bitcoin, or altcoins?

Share some of your experiences or tips on effectively trading in these uncertain times.
What I did is that I keep myself focused on small earnings rather than hunting big. I take the opportunity to sell when there is a price increase and not wait for its peak, at least if I could make 1% of every successful trade, I'm already happy and feel safe. It is really a matter of choice of coins and I use different styles of trading depending on the situation. Sometimes we also apply holding especially in times of correction. We need to listen to the market movements and not all the time is good for trading, there is time also to pause and wait for the price to recover as it is difficult to trade when the trend is declining.
25  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: May 20, 2024, 02:20:00 PM
<< their 3 point shooting was really the problem in this game. Just    27% from 3's.....

That's what I also noticed, when the ROS shoots well, they likely win the game. Just like their game versus the TNT when they have a big lead at the beginning because of their great 3 point shooting, but the TNT had a big run in the 4th, lucky for ROS it does not translate to a win. Not only the 3 point shooting, I think they also need to improve their defense. It can't be denied that SMB is a very good team, but if DYIP were able to beat them in a game, then I guess ROS is capable of doing that also since this is a best of 7 series, more opportunity for them compared to the DYIP.
26  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is going to happen with Bitcoin now? on: May 19, 2024, 08:09:46 AM
According to experts when there is a climate change in the world many things change in the world and things are not like before again. And yes everyone was saying that bitcoin price will rise after the halving but the price of bitcoin rise before the halving and it hit the All Time High twice before the halving so some scholars came again to say thY bitcoin has hit it All Time High before the halving therefore it will not come again after the halving but we still have the hope that bitcoin will hit $100k to reach the All Time High in the season.

So we're all waiting the $100k all time high.
You have said it wrong, even next year is still after halving and the fact that bull season is not over yet, we can still expect a big bump in its price. So we have to stop assuming that there is no ATH nor do we think that there are no price improvements after halving because it is still possible.

Of course, I believe there are experts but their expertise never means they are always right as they can be wrong as well. Just think that the market is volatile and even if we are here for a decade or even since the start, we can't still say what really exactly happened in the coming days.
27  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is it still to Invest into meme coins? on: May 19, 2024, 07:10:35 AM
from the last 3 months i have seen 99% meme coins on solana and all of them turned out to be a scam or the best projects have been missed how to check weather a meme coin is a solid or not because what i found a good project but when its launched it turned out to be a scam how to identify the projects with the scam and recently i found a project called school of meme they said we are here to educate other meme coins lol but the positive sign is they bot and game is live so what you think a school of meme is quite a good project or it also going to be a scam one.

Web: https://schoolofmeme.fun/
Don't ask, see for yourself. Because if I say no, will you follow? The same thing happens when I say yes.
It is an individual choice and investment decision, and since it is your money, whatever you do, that is okay.

-invest in a project if you feel confident about it but if not, better leave and look for another.

In fact, there are a lot of coins in the market, so why not choose those projects that are already established well instead of taking risks in new and meme coins? Keep your eyes open and do research as much as possible.
28  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Concerns grow over online gambling among teens on: May 17, 2024, 02:32:48 PM

And would you agree with him in implementing gambling prevention education in schools?

Gambling promotions are not getting into the right people/person but they go to different classes of the society and ages.

I would agree and support how the school and other groups creating solutions to this but this is a big challenge on their part because social media is now a leading contributing factor that influences young people (and even kids) exposed to gambling. We understand that young people support sports tournaments but on the other side, they make use of this as gambling. They are having fun with sports but at the same time, they are gambling as well (illegally).

They can educate them but the question is if they are seriously listening and following it. I see that it works when parents give their participation as well and give proper guidance.
29  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in a newly project is worth it or not ? on: May 17, 2024, 01:12:33 PM
Investing in new project specially when they aren't listed in any trading site is like gambling, you could either win big when they hit it or kiss your money good bye, and keep the coin as a remembrance.
I would only invest in new project when they are being listed in exchange or trading site, but on their initial offering I already had some bad experience on it, don't want to keep on adding up or making the same mistake.
It was not gambling but rather a suicidal action and a very wrong investment strategy. It is very usual to read and hear promising words from developers but it is never delivered in such ways, most of them turn into a scam.

Yes, I've been buying new projects in the past years when I was just new in the crypto market and this is what I experienced after having some tries, my coins just stuck in my wallet and I was hopeless to sell them since it was not and never been listed to any exchanges.

Investing is not just about buying cheap coins but what we must look at is where it was listed and our opportunity to sell them high.

30  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can a newbie make investment before learning? on: May 17, 2024, 12:31:22 PM
-Can a newbie make investment before learning?

Investing in Bitcoin is not as easy as we think, therefore, it is not, newbies must know their priorities first before making a move so they will never find it regretful, and then no way to blame the market for their stupidity and rush. Learning first is hereby encouraged not just to have an idea of what is this all about but for the reason that investing without knowledge is just like we are throwing our money -- a waste of time either.

We don't need to spend a lot of time doing this but at least, we have an idea of how these things work as we can't invest like gambling. But we did this for the goal of success, not failure.

31  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: May 17, 2024, 11:46:28 AM
After last nights disgraceful performance I feel like Denver will come out very strong in game 7.
I too agree on that, it seems like the trend is, when a team got dominated, they'll come back strong in the next game. The same thing had happened with the Knicks when they loss by a huge margin, they also flip the outcome in the next game. So the game 7 is very interesting, everyone are sure tuning on this game because it has been 5 years IIRC that no defending champion have pass the 2nd round in the playoffs, maybe Denver will break that and will be a back to back champion, so let's see.
32  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: May 17, 2024, 07:46:29 AM
Predictable indeed, they are just so lucky that they exploded for 39 points in the first quarter and have a comfortable 17 points lead, if not for that they might have lost the game. Moving forward, ROS will face SMB Beermen in the semis which i think the Beermen will win as the Elastopainters don't have anyone that could stop the Kraken down low.

That's for sure, and aside from the SMB which is already a good 3 point shooters, they also have players that could attack the paint. The 2nd unit of the SM is more than enough to beat the starters of the ROS, so I doubt it will be a long series, unless.....if you know what I mean.

The spread of the game is already out..

SMB -5.5 vs ROS,. We have the first game of the best of 7 series, I think in the first game they'll come up so confident after the win, especially the ROS who had a great shooting night when they beat the TNT, so I guess it's going to be over. Not taking the spread but I have the ROS to score over 104.5.

There has been a sudden movement of handicap, as mentioned, it was -5.5 when it opened, now it's already -8.5. If this line movement is a good indication, most likely people are betting on SMB so bookies decided to move the line. Now, with -8.5, I think SMB is still capable of cover the spread if they'll win the game.

This two teams face in the regular season, SMB managed to beat them by 12 points, so if we will witness the same scenario, it's safe to say that SMB will cover the spread.

here's the boxscore on that game. https://pba.ph/recap?match=2417613
33  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Be careful with people's money on: May 17, 2024, 02:04:22 AM
Gambling addiction will not just ruin our financial status but also our reputation and trust. Yes, a lot of stories where people use money for the group/company due to gambling habits. A lot of stories that a person commits a crime (stealing), has huge debts and sells properties in order to sustain their gambling needs.

I couldn't say gambling is bad, it only depends on the gambler. If we can't handle our gambling habits, it leads to a worse and regrettable ending.
We don't need to wait for that moment before we change our approaches, instead do it responsibly now.

34  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to become a successful trader on: May 17, 2024, 12:27:27 AM
As a successful trader, you should focus on the process instead of the money, because the process is the must important thing for you to get more experience in it, and once you are focus it you never lose your money in trading, so as successful trader you must always be fucus on the process of your trading, for you to get a good profit.
Success is not measured by means of how big you earn but it measures how responsible you are as a trader.
Now we are earning a lump sum of money but if our greediness is not controlled, sooner this will also bring us down and lose everything. Success can be determined not by today but by how we bring it after many years of doing it consistently.
 - fund management
 - self-control
 - long-term plan
 - consistency

35  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Understanding the Impact of Social Media in Gambling. on: May 16, 2024, 10:37:07 PM
I think these influencers must know their target audience before accepting the offer or should not be included in their vlogs or videos?

they dont care about their target audience is what they care is money hahah we actually do advertising for the gambling site guys but mostly we discussed in here so we know our target is people who already play gamble in the forum.

Here in Indonesia you can get paid 20$ per videos with only put slot images or name site in your videos and you can get more if your video getting popular and show in for your page
We thought before that social media was a good source of information but not now, it is a medium of scams and gambling promotions which is not good anymore, especially to our young audiences.

20$ is a good amount that these influencers get tempted without thinking about the bad impact on the community. And I hope they are supposed to know that, not just consider themselves to earn but also how it ruins other life.

It is really a need for the government and the authorities to action. It is not about stopping the gambling industry but a need to align in the right way of promoting it. I am a gambler and I started gambling at the legal age.
36  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto as job salary - Yay or Nay? on: May 16, 2024, 12:50:36 PM
Factors are:
First, we consider whether cryptocurrency is legal in our country or not.
2nd, if Bitcoin is accepted as a mode of payment in major establishments or not.
3rd, do we already have an idea about crypto?

If all the answers are NO, I don't think it makes sense to accept as our job salary but instead, accept fiat money. Unless, our intention is to use this for investment and we don't after receiving this every month, then taking this option is good provided that the #1 is yes and legal.

In general, we need to assess ourselves if this is applicable in our real life.
37  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Accumulating Bitcoin or trading Bitcoin which is more wise to do. on: May 16, 2024, 10:32:55 AM
Don't get confused OP why did the majority choose to invest in Bitcoin rather than trading, it is because trading is too risky, stressful, and can't assure a profit. Unlike investing and holding, as long as you are buying low and selling high, profit is certain. But in trading, committing mistakes will end in tragic losses.
In both trading and investing, if you buy low, sell high, you get profit. If you can do it, you will have good trading and investing ROI.

The bottom line for biggest difference and challenge between trading and investing is psychology.

With trading, you get more psychological challenge from market price movements, news, fud that can force you to do bad trading decisions. With investing, you will less likely be affected psychologically because you have good knowledge, strong belief to hold you bitcoin. You won't get loss if you don't sell your bitcoin and fortunately Bitcoin recovers with time and makes new all time highs with new bull runs, historically so far.

I doubt what psychology has to do with, Trading or investing or relate to this topic. I greatly disagree trading to be the means how anyone should take Bitcoin for, if you're a good trader no offense you can scale up but the right approach is accumulating as much so as to have your own Bitcoin and not just trading it.

Accumulate, hold and keep investing in Bitcoin. Newbies, beginners thks safeguards you from unnecessary panics about price movement, Trading gonna fuck your ass if you are not skillful enough.
Because a wise person choose the option where they can guarantee profit, even it was not 100% but at least a higher percentage. Indeed, this does not involve psychology as people will choose where they can profit more and surely will choose the option that is less risky. If we are not a good trader, we are certain that we don't choose to trade, the same thing happens to investing. Especially for newbies, they should have to think about their capabilities, not just thinking about their money/capital as it never works that easily, it needs good knowledge.

38  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Israil Madrimov vs Terrence Crawford on: May 16, 2024, 07:34:48 AM
And it will be interesting on how Crawford picks Madrimov as weakest champion of this division if I'm not mistaken.

There are two things that I'm seeing here:

1. Crawford unifying all the belts at 154 lbs and again setting another boxing record for unifying 3 weight classes
2. Doesn't care about the belts anymore, and then just go for money fights as we all know that he is not getting any younger as well.

So we will see what his best move after winning and becoming 4 weight class champion.

The endgame for Crawford seems to be getting a big money fight against Canelo. Becoming undisputed at 154 would be great and all, but the names in the division aren’t really all that attractive. The Fundora vs. Tszyu PPV only got around 20,000 buys, according to Rick Glaser, who is not very reliable but I can’t imagine the actual numbers being any better.

If the Saudis are bankrolling his career, they will want to make the biggest fights possible, and at the moment that would be Crawford vs. Canelo.

And when there is money, for sure Canelo will say yes to it. Although as this point he said that he doesn't want to fight Crawford and then the Saudi's are somewhat on the fence with Canelo as we can see, the Saudi broker is more on Beterbiev and Bivol and other fighters.

But in the side of Crawford, yeah, he is looking for big money fights, he has tasted it already with his win against Spence and obviously his biggest paycheck after he bolted out of Top Rank. Although fighting Madrimov is just for the title, but who knows, Charlo or Fundora could be interesting for fight fans to watch.

At this point I think money is not the most important for Canelo as he can easily find an opponent that will ensure him big paycheck. However, based on my observation, he hasn't been fighting big names lately and as we can see, most of his recent wins are easy win. If he'll fight Crawford, that sure will bring a lot of money, but who would go down or go up? That's another thing as none of these two would fight not getting the advantage to win.
39  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: May 16, 2024, 06:19:19 AM
Mavs steal another win on the road, it's time to close the game in 6. Actually, Mavs could have ended the series already if they were more careful in game 4.

There's no other players from the OKC stepping up, unlike with the Mavs where their bigs have stepped up. SGA is good as we can see on his output, but him alone carrying the team would give them a slim chance of coming back. Well, a win in game 6 would bring this game to 7,  but how sure they are they can win game 7?  I don't know, the OKC have the chance to take the lead as they are at home, but that two losses at home resulting them to be down 3-2 in the series.

OKC only shoots 25% from 3, it was suppose to be their strength, so when they struggle in that area, we know they'll likely loss.

their average this season was almost 40%.

Last weekend, we saw the great Lomachenko became champion again by methodically breaking down ex unified champion George Kambosos. I want to see Loma retiring. He has nothing to prove in this division and I highly doubt he unifies all the belts as he is already running out of time.

I still believed he still has a couple of fights inside of him, maybe a Davis or Shakur might will cemented his legacy. Just imagine if Loma at this age will beat both of those young and great fighters.

It's too early for him to retire, if he wants to make more money, then he should take the opportunity to earn that while he is now the champion. It would be easier for him to find an opponent since he is a champion, maybe if he lose that's the time for retire, but for now, he should have a big fight next.  Davis or Shakur are good but I prefer to see Davis as the latter is very popular than Shakur, and imagine if Loma would beat him.
