Storing of Bitcoins is against Bitcoin.
No one will offer services for Bitcoin.
Spend Your Bitcoins.
I know that if people do not spend there Bitcoin and keep holding on to them the price of the Bitcoin is not going to rise but people still do not want to spend them.
This way the price is going to be stable for ever if this keeps up¨.

That is right. It is better to hold most of the coins and then spend some of the coins to make it circulate more.

With out a doubt the author of this post is correct however spending money frivolously for the sake of helping the economy is also kind of stupid so...

You do not need to spend a lot of bitcoin. You can just circulate 10% of your bitcoin, that will be a big help.

After reading this i guess someone will open a thread saying that Storing of Gold is against Gold right? lol ? Storing of bitcoins is not against bitcoins.

That is two different things. The bitcoin is a currency. Its usefulness is better to be found if it is actually used.
24  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Storing of Bitcoins is against Bitcoin. on: September 09, 2016, 03:48:46 PM
Storing bitcoins is not against Bitcoin.
Until they're not just storing their bitcoin in their wallet for a long time because that is will prevent the circulate or giving a bad effect for the circulation of bitcoin.
That is why we should not store our bitcoin in a long time period it has a effect on bitcoin circulation, i think we should also spend the interest gain on our investment to help to increase the demand $ supply of bitcoin.

I store about 80% of the coins I bought earlier. Then I used the 20% now and then to support the circulation of the bitcoin.
25  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Storing of Bitcoins is against Bitcoin. on: August 24, 2016, 12:36:30 PM
I will never spend any bitcoin cause i have none. Bitcoins are meant to be spend. You dont have keep.it for life. You have to spend it in able to recycle the flow of bitcoin. If no one wants to spend their bitcoins. Then the flow will stop and others will surely force to migrate into other cryptocurrency

It should be spent. But in a good way. There are some spenders who just do it and not think about it. But I totally agree with the flow needed by bitcoin and it could also prove that it is not just a stored currency.

Only those people safe bitcoins who don't know about any investment or trading, so they decide to safe the bitcoin because it is a easiest way and also no need any hard working, but when they get a good chance to invest the bitcoin, so definitely they will do it.
Right people who store bitcoins are the people who do not do other business with bitcoin like trading, gambling and etc. People who earn a little from a signature campaign and from games, may save to have a good profit in future depending on the hike of the price. The price is stable now. lets hope to have a price increase in future.

I mine some bitcoins and store most of the bitcoins. But I will also use some to help the circulation.

That is what I am doing at the moment. I mine the ETC and then sell them for the bitcoin and use some bitcoin.
26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum to go up or down? on: August 07, 2016, 09:33:41 AM
If you study the chart there is nowhere that ETH can go but down. Not only the price movement but also in the news. I am sure speculators will not be confident in holding the Ethereum fork coins with all that has been happening recently. No one would be stupid enough to buy ETH at these very high prices with the future of the platform is now unsure.

There could be a possibiility that the DAO hackers will dump their coins. ETC is more dangerous than ETH.

But there is also a possibility that Vitalik's insider friends will dump their coins because they know they will lose this battle. The community and the crypto development world now could view Vitalik as a joke and a fraud and now no company or start up will now build on top of the Ethereum fork. Many are losing confidence in them so it is best to stay away from ETH and ETC.

You could be right. So far, there is no big dump of the ETH. The ETH price is still over $12 at the moment.

The ETH price is 0.019 bitcoin, but it is $11 now. That is mainly due to the reduction of the bitcoin price.

I think you have to have loads of money to tweak the price.

24 h Volume BTC USD = over 10000 BTC
https://www.bfxdata.com/orderbooks/btcusd

24 h Volume ETH BTC =  over 300k ETH
https://www.bitfinex.com/pages/stats

But in general, I'd say BTC will go up, ETH down. Just my 2c

The Ethereum has two versions, the Ethtreum and the Ethereum Classic. One of them should survive.

I think the ETH will survive. It is supported by more miners and there is no danger of the hacker dump coins.

I hope the time will come that Google will accept bitcoin so I can use those paid apps and also rent the new and popular movies, I think it would be nice. I know most of us here own a smartphone and play games using mobile app, I want to pay btc just to purchase game items and packages.

If it does, it will be excellent news. But it will take some time as google is mainly business related operation.

if i am earning a lot and my expenses are not more than that. then what will i do. i will certainly store them and there is no other option with me. because i will never like to share my bitcoin with any one.

I also hold most of my coins. I do not trade as I cannot control the price and make profit from the trading.
30  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Storing of Bitcoins is against Bitcoin. on: June 09, 2016, 08:12:16 AM
Maybe in its early stages, it is going to hinder the growth of bitcoin because storing it will limit it to a few holders. But as people become more and more aware of bitcoin, it will naturally be in circulation as the demand will increase. This currency is still facing a lot of uphill battles towards mass adoption but we see progress everyday.

I think for selfish reasons, it is better to store the bitcoins. But circulation will also help the price performance.

I hold most of my bitcoin. That is because I believe the price will rise. But I also use some to help the adoption.

ETHERUM will be rise again to 1BTC = 1 ETHERUM  Cheesy

That means the Ethereum will be worth $450 each, that is 30 times of present value. It might happen later.
33  Economy / Marketplace / Re: What would you like to buy? on: May 07, 2016, 09:31:34 AM
I would like to buy some graphics cards to do some mining. that is mainly for the altcoin mining. I will then convert the altcoin into bitcoin.

Dump your premined ETH for BTC. BTC is booming!

Sell the Eth for BTC. Then buy the Eth when the Eth price is lower. We can repeat the process and make profit.
35  Economy / Marketplace / Re: What would you like to buy? on: April 01, 2016, 12:21:06 PM
buy a labrador, a house and pay for internet with bitcoins all the
other ones in thread are not my type of stuff.

I would like to do the same or more. I hope I can use the bitcoin in my daily life to replace the fiat I use.
36  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Can ETH be mined from an Android device? on: March 07, 2016, 09:42:07 PM
The DAG will use some of the memories. The power consumption will also be too big for the mining to worth it.
37  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum to go up or down? on: February 24, 2016, 05:59:38 PM
ETHERUM potentially the next bitcoin ? Bitcoin 2.0 ?

Ethereum is not just a coin, it is a trading platform that you can create smart contracts. So it is not Bitcoin 2.0
38  Other / Meta / Re: Making $6000 by owning 100 bitcointalk accounts on: February 11, 2016, 09:58:27 AM
Regardless of the work being robotic or not, if the amount stated in OP is achievable then that is a lot of money especially if you live in some third world country. You'd be the local rich guy within a year. Grin

But in a third world country, people cannot spend their bitcoin easily. They can spend it in 20 years when bitcon becomes popular there.
39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum to go up or down? on: January 31, 2016, 08:43:30 PM
It's staying at ~650k for a bit IMO. There's been a lot of downward pressure and it just wants to live there. Which suggests it will go up considerably over the next 2q with LTC on the heals of the BTC hardforks and halving.

I think the price is consolidating in the 650k range. It might prepare for the next push up. If so, it could go much higher.

The price has dropped to 600k. Is it the start of the new dump or just more consolidation?
40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Just started solo mining Ether, need info on: January 18, 2016, 12:01:51 PM
Cheers for that  Grin

so can i asked once i mine a block how do i send the coins?  i dont have a gui wallet say like bitcoin core, what command sends the coin from my coinbase and where are the privkey kept?

You can find the information in cyptoming blog.

AS requested here comes a simple guide on how to solo mine Ethereum Ether coins on a local system or within a network with multiple mining rigs. Note that at this point it is already pointless to try local solo mining with CPU only, and if you do not have enough GPU power available and you end up with some bad luck you may not be able to solve a block in a long time. Also our experience shows that geth may lockup at times when solo mining not sending new work from the current block, so do monitor your mining rigs carefully should you decide to try it. If you want to mine in a pool, then you might want to check out our other Quick Guide on How to Mine Ethereum on Windows. Before you get started you need to download the geth and ethminer Windows binaries from the link below, then just follow the instructions below:
Generating wallet address:
– Open the geth folder and run geth-console.bat to start Ethereum in console mode
– The software will need to download the blockchain data, it can take some time
– In the console type: personal.newAccount("password")
– Instead of password in the quotes above write your own password and remember it well
– In the console type: eth.accounts
– This will list your Ethereum wallet address
– To check your account balance you can type:web3.fromWei(eth.getBalance(eth.coinbase), "ether")
Sending Ether to another wallet:
– First you need to unlock your account by typing in the console the following (replace password with your password): personal.unlockAccount(eth.accounts[0], "password")
– In the console type: eth.sendTransaction({from: 'your_address', to: 'recipient_address', value: web3.toWei(1, "ether")})
– In the above code replace your_address and recipient_address with the respective addresses, the example is for sending 1 Ether, but you can change the value depending on your needs
Starting geth for solo mining:
– To lisen for connections only on the local system type: geth --rpc --rpcaddr "localhost" --rpcport 8545
– To be accessible on the local network type: geth --rpc --rpcaddr "192.168.0.123" --rpcport 8545
– Make sure that for local LAN accessibility you replace the rpcaddr IP address to the one that of the machine geth is running on, the 192.168.0.123 is just an example
– To be accessible on the Internet type: geth --rpc --rpcaddr "x.x.x.x" --rpcport 8545
– Make sure that for Internet accessibility you replace the rpcaddr IP address to the one that of the machine geth is running on, the x.x.x.x in the example will not work, also make sure that the 8545 port (or another one you decide to use) is forwarded
Starting ethminer for solo mining:
– For local system mining with ethminer on the same PC that geth is running on use:ethminer -G
– For mining on a system in the Local LAN where geth is installed and running use:ethminer -G -F http://192.168.0.123:8545
– Make sure that for local LAN mining the IP address of the system geth is running on is set correctly on the miner, the 192.168.0.123 is just an example, also make sure that there is no Firewall blocking connections
– For using mining rig to mine over the Internet on a PC with geth running in your local LAN use: ethminer -G -F http://x.x.x.x:8545
– For Internet access make sure that instead of the x.x.x.x in the example you set your external IP address and that the 8545 port is properly forwarded between the external IP and the system running geth
