21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: World's Biggest AIR-DROP in History happening! on: August 02, 2017, 08:16:06 PM
You people... The Bitcoin Cash network has only managed to mine 14 blocks since the hardfork yesterday.

It takes 20 confirmations before any exchange will let you trade/dump it. Don't you see?

Starting around block 22 the price will drop faster then any crypto shit scam coin in history.

This shit coin will be finished within hours.

Edit: Have i been shadow banned or something? No one ever replies.

Hi, first I will inform you that you are indeed NOT shadowbanned... I see your post just fine. Smiley

Secondly, I am very confused as some are saying they have already dumped their BCC and others are saying it can only be dumped after 20 confirmations... which one is it?

I am looking to cash out my BCC as soon as possible, but there is nothing that I can do with exchanges not yet having enabled BCC deposits.

I currently have emptied a few BTC addresses now only containing 5BCC on the other chain, and also imported the private keys in the electron client.

I think by the time exchanges start to allow BCC deposits, the price will start to tank far below the 0.1BTC mark. In this case, every minute will count big time when exchanges open their doors.

I already sold mine at viabtc. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2061047.0
Some said I should sell later when bittrex or Kraken allow deposit, but by that time, more people will go into the platform and dump their bcc, so I recommend selling them as soon as there's a chance to.
22  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: What Exchanges Allow BCH Deposits?? on: August 02, 2017, 08:09:04 PM
I sold my BCC at ViaBTC, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2061047.0
Will update once I got 20confirmation and successfully withdraw BTC
23  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: which exchange accepts BCC deposits? on: August 02, 2017, 07:43:12 PM
The answer you looking for, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2061047.0

Yes the price in this exchange is low when compare to other, but if you wait until other exchange to allow BCC deposit, the price could be even lower Cheesy

Mercnahts are already dropping "Bitcoin Forked" support because "Bitcoin Cash" saves them both time and money.

Interesting, maybe you can give us lists of merchants who accept "Bitcoin Cash" Roll Eyes

25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Was Bitcoin Cash a Pump Dump? on: August 02, 2017, 07:36:06 PM
Ended up loosing big money today, BCC started rising like crazy, brought 37 BCC's (some @ $530 and remaining @ 0.233 BTC) on kraken.

It went all the up to $811 on kraken and now falling endlessly, $310 at the time of writing this post.

My net balance of over $23000 is down to less than half at a little over $11,000.

First of all, why did you buy BCC with $23k lol?

Serious advice: sell the BCC and think of it as a lesson.
26  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin, BitcoinCash & Poverty on: August 02, 2017, 07:31:36 PM
The BCC price is likely to match the bitcoin, it is exactly like bitcoin, but if the BCC price matches the bitcoin, what is the bitcoin fate, will the bitcoin stop being used?

Hi, I would like to sell you my BCC for 0.9BTC, 10% exclusive discount for you  Grin

B) Don't understand Bitcoin but don't want to invest because of all this shiet.

Add: C) People that don't understand Bitcoin AND EVERYTHING will buy some shitcoin
27  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ElectrON BCC wallet is a scam! Sent money to a fake wallet! on: August 02, 2017, 07:27:48 PM
I'm pretty sure you used some fake wallet software instead of the actual BCC wallet which most people used it without any problem.
This is the website where I downloaded Electron Cash - http://www.electroncash.org/
28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Places or exchanges to sell or buy Bitcoin Cash BCH/BCC, I just sold all! on: August 02, 2017, 06:59:54 PM
Thank you for sharing this.   I am going to keep an eye on this thread to see how many other people say they are dumping their Bitcoin Cash.

I am going to sit on the sidelines until I can confidently claim my bitcoin cash without worries of screwing something up.   My general strategy is probably to go long on both though.

I want to be as diversified as possible, so I am treating this as another alt-coin that I am going to hold.

You can and it's always recommended to move your BTC to another new wallet generate from new seed and wait for 6 confirmations. Few of my friends told me they probably going to hold some BCC/BCH in case they missed the opportunity of BCC appreciation, but they also think as of this moment, 90% of BTC user probably didn't even know how to access their BCC/BCH, and once platforms or wallet made that possible and easy to do, part of them if not majority, will dump their BCC, you can tell by the forum's user attitude towards BCC, most like me think it's free money only. Of course you can always buy back later given sometimes people dumped the coin, so you can buy at dip.

Btw if you want to diversify, you may try to diversify across various asset classes, while cryptocurrency being one of the asset classes, placing fund in few cryptocurrency doesn't really gain the risk reduction which was one main reason we diversify, it's more like placing your bet on different number of roulette, you may try to diversify by investing different stuff with negative correlation.
29  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Places or exchanges to sell or buy Bitcoin Cash BCH/BCC, I just sold all! on: August 02, 2017, 06:52:26 PM
how is the best way to sweep private keys to get bcc ? i tried electrum- cash, now its waiting for confirmation for a long time, some even say this wallet is a scam. I dont wanna download th whole chain, is there any other light wallet ? I managed to get private key from this electrum wallet, on blockdozer I can already see that there is some bcc , but wallet is still saing zero....

I've written a guide here on how to use your 12-word private key to spend your BCH, read here: https://josephyap.me/spend-bitcoin-cash-private-key/

So ViaBTC is perhaps the first exchange to allow the deposit of Bitcoin Cash. Other exchanges such as Kraken and Bittrex are still not allowing it. But the only problem is that the exchange rates in ViaBTC are around 40% lower than those in Bittrex.
Rates are lower exactly because they allowed people to deposit, which means more people are able to sell and are doing it.
BCC is going to lose a lot of value once real trading begins, one where you can freely move your coins. Unfortunately I won't be using their services.

You need to upload passport and put your name to be able to deposit/withdraw, but if you just plan to trade once on ViaBTC, they actually don't check much, pretty much instant approved.

Because everybody wants some random Chinese guys to have a scan of their passport... I'll rather wait for other exchanges to open their deposits.
you sold for 0.15 OP? Not the best deal since it traded for over 0.4 on bittrex.

What I meant by instant approval is that you can simply upload random photo file, as they are just documenting it instead of actually verify it. I didn't upload real passport as well as I don't like to give my passport ID to a new exchange. It's a good deal for me at my time of selling, especially if you compare to now (0.11BTC/BCC), I wouldn't compare to bittrex, as you mentioned that's a closed market.
30  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Places or exchanges to sell or buy Bitcoin Cash, and successfully WITHDRAW! on: August 02, 2017, 05:41:32 PM
Seeing most people wanted to know where they can sell their Bitcoin Cash, so I'm here to share one. Which is ViaBTC.
It's the only platform I find it able to deposit my Bitcoin Cash, and which I successfully sold them for BTC.

Website URL: https://www.viabtc.com/

They don't seem like check your ID even though they ask you to upload one, that means you most probably could use fake ID. (I do not guarantee if they refuse to let you withdraw for using incorrect details  Tongue)

Here's my deposit, it requires 1 confirmation to trade those BCC, 20 confirmation to withdraw BTC which you gain from selling those BCC.

If you plan to dump those BCC immediately, you can use the sell your BCC with "market price" option instead of "limit order".

Such a good day to get free internet money from this generous airdrop Roll Eyes

If you find any other place to sell please share it~

Update after 20 confirmations of my Bitcoin Cash deposits: The withdrawal literally took less than 3minutes!

Withdrawal history

Got it from my Trezor
31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bitfinex vs. Bittrex BCH/BCC trading on: August 02, 2017, 05:19:39 PM
You can get BCH for .15 Bitcoin at Bitfinex
you pay .30 Bitcoin on Bittrex

Do you think the buying power will shift soon to Bittrex?

This is a huge difference!!!

Bittrex does not allow BCC deposit, the price is meaningless if it's not an accessible market
32  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tell me, what's the underlying value of Bitcoin cash? on: August 02, 2017, 04:58:58 PM
-snip-

Yeah, but gambling would be more accurate term instead of speculation, as from most people, I find them didn't really do any analyze but simply decide to invest BCH based on recency and confirmation biases.
(Luckily these people bought my BCH at good price when I still looking for platform to dump Grin)
33  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Tell me, what's the underlying value of Bitcoin cash? on: August 02, 2017, 04:28:29 PM
I'm trying to learn from other's opinions and what is the value they find in Bitcoin cash. Let me start by telling you why I invested in Bitcoin:
  • First decentralized digital currency
  • Most well-known cryptocurrency
  • Recognized and gain legal status in hundreds of countries
  • Huge company and businesses adopted Bitcoin to be used in their operation and sales
  • Existing huge and quality community since Bitcoin inception
  • Relatively large market cap compare to others which decrease the chance of being pump-and-dump easily
(It requires relatively more cost to bump-and-dump Bitcoin, which increase price stability)
  • The software was being tested for a long period prior to release to minimize failure or bug

Although many of above listed are hard to quantify and estimate the price of Bitcoin, I strongly believe the underlying value of Bitcoin will exceed the current price A LOT.
But, what's the underlying value of Bitcoin Cash? I don't see its share any same traits that Bitcoin is having.

Many people seem to be unable to understand that the $7 billion market cap of BCH is just book value, book value in such illiquid market is basically meaningless at all.
At least I don't think it can hold current price when most platform and wallet provider makes selling BCH easy.

Just my opinion could be wrong, would like to hear what you think  Cheesy

If you didn't do any analyzation but just simply follow the hype, you're just gamble, not investor, here's my word for you, especially if you made money from gambling with altcoins,
When you don't understand how you made your fortune, you probably won't be able to keep your fortune. (I learned it the hard way.)
34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why will Bitcoincash be better than other alt coins? on: August 02, 2017, 11:20:11 AM
So, BitcoinCash will be another alt coin (I guess). Will it be better than the other alt coins that are designed to be used like cash?

I guess if it attracts a lot of hashing power that will make it better, but will it be better otherwise?
Bitcoin cash will be better that the altcoins cause bitcoin cash is aimed how quickly the transaction is processed. Altcoins is known as alternative bitcoin so bitcoin cash is still be better cause bitcoin cash is much faster to transacted than altcoin.

This is complete horsesh*t.

There's already TONS of altcoins that process and get confirmations much faster then BTC. Even LTC with segwit and 4MB blocks atm is way faster then Bitcoin Cash, and is decentral. Bitcoin Cash is mined by ONE minepool only. Also very funny that they say 'the community needs bigger blocks', yet their last block was just 40kb big lol

Bitcoin Cash is nothing more then 'just another altcoin', but with a very small and unknown development team, and a very small community.

Wait until you can send your BCH to exchanges (none of them accept BCH yet), then the price will immidiately fall as people will massively dump it.

I litterally see not a SINGLE reason why this altcoin should exist and/or survive.

This, soon more non-technical users able to access BCH easily, the majority of them will dump BCH to get free BTC.
*Btw, the block size is 40kb actually mean how less transaction occurred

36  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is bcc worth buying after hardfork? on: August 02, 2017, 10:38:02 AM
I guess it'll have quite some value in future, look how ETC performed Vs ETH and ETC was actually suppose to die in the forking process.

I am not very familiar with ETC/ETH split, but I did study ETH and invest some of that, but I think it's not very appropriate to compare the case of ETH/ETC split to BTC/BCC split, as they've very different purpose, BTC/BCC are meant to be a decentralised digital currency, while ETH/ETC sort of behave like "fuel" for projects. (correct me if I'm wrong.)

Plus if you compare the hash rate of ETH/ETC, and the price of ETH/ETC, you'll find that they're highly correlated, but do the same comparison on BTC/BCC, you'll find that BCC network hash power alone is far less to the ratio of the BTC/BCC price, and when BTC/BCC serve as digital currency, you have to think about is there actual merchant going to adopt BCC.

Just my $.2
37  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is bcc worth buying after hardfork? on: August 02, 2017, 10:31:44 AM
What's the reason to buy Bitcoin Cash when it has the same purpose as Bitcoin, but almost no actual usage nor being recognized and used by many merchants like Bitcoin?
FYI, everyone could just fork the main chain and create another copy, but will you buy every copied Bitcoin?
38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How can I redeem my Bitcoin Cash in Electrum ? on: August 02, 2017, 10:26:46 AM
Wrote a guide with pictures, you can read from my blog at: https://josephyap.me/spend-bitcoin-cash-private-key/
Hope it helps  Wink
39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Did I miss on claiming the free BCH ? on: August 02, 2017, 10:24:33 AM
You need to select BCC chain instead of BTC manually at the first run of this software, you can read my guide with pictures here: https://josephyap.me/spend-bitcoin-cash-private-key/
40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Miners pulling away from BCash on: August 02, 2017, 09:24:04 AM
I'm thinking to same way too, but the current situation should be expected by them, so they might have some solution or strategy soon. (maybe?)
Anyway, just to add a small correction, ViaBTC allow us to deposit BCC, requires 1 confirmation to trade, and requires 20 confirmations to withdraw.

I sold BCC from first deposit, but need 20 confirmations to withdraw the BTC, and the second deposit seems it's going to take ages to arrive lol.
(That timestamp from screenshot is in UTC+8, which is about 6 hours ago for first deposit.)

There will be a backtracking of BCash supporters for sure. I think many of the holders are either dumping immediately or holding for some time while waiting for things to unfold and make a decision from it. It seems this update with miners leaving BCash will be kind of a cue for them to abandon ship.

Too bad for those retrieved their BCC from private key won't be able to dump them immediately anyway, those who stored their BTC prior to the split are lucky to be able to sell them for BTC immediately.  Tongue
