21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: September 25, 2017, 07:40:33 AM
Now the current price are without any manipulation by those whales which were pumping as long as distribution was going on. I see these price as true value where the project will take off gradually which is far more better than what was happening during last few months. There is no speculation right now but this is showing more seriousness and long term benefits to be watched now.

Do you mean the price is more reflective of the true value without whale manipulation?
22  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: September 01, 2017, 03:00:16 PM
I bet a quick big dump at first and, just after, a huuuuge pump !!!

I thought the pump has finished, it is now consolidating.
23  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: August 02, 2017, 06:35:55 AM
in the next few days, we will see spikes in the price of GBYTE leading to the next airdrop. but with that much new GBYTE going into circulation, expect another drop in price after the airdrop.

I think this pattern has happened before.
24  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: July 31, 2017, 10:29:07 AM
The BCC fork is definitely taking the wind out of our sails. Why buy Byteball right now to get a 20% bonus when you can keep your Bitcoin and claim both BCC and Byteball? Perhaps our market will start to heat up a little more after the hardfork on the 1st.
With all the dumps BCC will be worth shit in seconds....

So will you send the bitcoin to the exchange and sell as well?
25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: PandaMiner Price Adjustment! on: June 30, 2017, 05:25:35 PM
they are returning less money than we paid for, this is bullshit.
Fucking scammers !!!!  Angry Angry Angry

cant really call this a scam, alpha mining, ltc gear , black arrow now those were true scams

panda just overestimated thier capacity at least they are refunding, im glad i didnt buy in though, more becuase i

dont belive in dedicated mining hardware for gpu mining

You are right. If you are capable, it is better to build your own miner.
26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: June 10, 2017, 07:34:40 PM
According to your definition also bitcoin can be considered as a ponzi scheme.
Basically anything that is valuable is with limited supply.

On this we may significantly disagree.  Had I appreciated the severity of the flaws in versions of Monero before RingCT, and had no faith in the team to manage the issue as they did, in the breach, I would have been railing against Monero likewise, but not for intentionally centralizing and materially facilitating the defungibilization of the currency - only for lacking the competence to make a meaningful distinction as against, e.g., boolberry.

I do think that the actual technical and economic characteristics of real hard money will dominate in the long run.  Monero has them.  To my mind anything that pretends to have similar utility and value but lacks those characteristics is an imposture and a fraud.  Stop calling it money when it doesn't have the essential qualities of money, stop classing it with Monero when it does not belong in the same class, and I will probably just ignore it.  As it is, I feel it is needful to warn against such schemes.

If you want to collect rare Pepes that's none of my business.  I would advise however that the cultural value of Putin's Patek-Phillipe is likely to be much more persistent.  Even Mao's very perishable mangos have greater persistent value than Dash.

From the point of view of economics, what do you see the main problem with Dash?

Money needs to be a store of value, means of exchange and measure of value. What are the characteristics of money that Dash is lacking?

The only problem is that the Dash is very centralised.
27  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: June 05, 2017, 07:45:54 PM
this will start an upward trend during the period of volatility. target $ 70 I think.

the volume of market cap over a new record high. tomorrow the $ 100b we can see.  Cheesy

That could only happen after Monero exit the maintenance mode in Polo.
28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: When do you think the bubble will burst? on: May 10, 2017, 10:22:27 AM
This is just the beginning.

I agree with it. The price will rise a lot before the burst.
29  Economy / Speculation / Re: HODLING IS GOOD on: May 02, 2017, 06:43:39 PM
i can see the merits of both sides. the thing is most traders get too attached to one direction and end up throwing it all away. you need to know when the tide is turning against you.

I trade bitcoin as well as hold. I bought some Ethereum a year ago, and made some profits.
30  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: LTC Segwit is over 70% on: May 02, 2017, 06:39:31 PM
More 1346 blocks signaling SegWit and it gets "locked_in" status in this activation period, we can get can SegWit activated in the next 18 days or so.

Hodl your hands!
I sure hope so. If SegWit is activated than I am sure we will all have a few extra bucks worth of LiteCoin.

It does really look like we’ll get SegWit, but then again those whales are tricky.

It is activated. I think the price will rise further.
31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: LTC Segwit is over 70% on: April 16, 2017, 01:08:12 PM
BEWARE: FOUND WHAT'S BELOW ON ANOTHER BLOG.

currently Jihan Wu, or Jihad Wu as I like to call him, through his mines controls 27% percent of the hash power of Litecoin. He is currently voting for segwit, then when it gets close to all time high support, he is changing his signal, to pump and dump the price. He is also at the same time accused of secretly using ASICBOOST to cheat us all in the bitcoin sphere. He will fight to the end against segwit as it blocks his abilty to cheat us, and it renders alot of his hardware useless, which could bankrupt him.

Unless we can get 3% of the miners in pools for Lite coin to switch from pools in the control of Satan, and then hol for two weeks (bear in mind Jihad makes the machines and may have more standing by) the only possible way to get segwit is to use UASF, which is highly risky and never attempted.

Most of those statements are just patently false. Do you believe everything you read?

For example "renders alot of his hardware useless." Is just totally incorrect. He could still mine with that hardware, he would just lose his ASICBOOST 'advantage'. You should be more thoughtful before posting such drivel.

The one who lacks information, apparently is you.

Jihan Wu is probably using AsicBoost, besides on the antpool, his cloudmining operations. What if AsicBoost was taken away? That would be a major disaster for his cloud mining???

Why is the Antpool NOTORIOUS for producing empty blocks, a result of AsicBoost?

Jihan said he did not use ASICBoost in production.
32  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Xrp will up again in this month? on: April 11, 2017, 06:43:39 AM
It is difficult to say. It has been up a lot recently.
33  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 20 yo student wanting to invest (need advice) on: March 15, 2017, 04:23:39 PM
So, I wanted to post here because I need help from senior people. I want to invest into a mining rig. Electricity is not a factor. I thought about getting a loan for 1000 euros, which should be enough to get me a 5xRX470 rig. I just need some advice from you people here because where I live, a 1000e is pretty much a nig deal for a 20yo student. Any advice would be greatly welcome.
Free electricity if legal then go for it , if you have illegal free electricity then don't , here is my point if you think your 6xgpu rig will not draw that amount of wattage then you are wrong mining eats alot of electricity and it will be visiable special for the power hungry gpus .

So as i said legal free electricity then GO
Illegal free electricity don't go for it.

I already deployed two 5xRX470 rigs on H81 PRO BTC R2.
I know power consumption and as I've said it's not a factor. Just looking for other peoples' opinion on what hardware to get, as it is a big risk to get a loan just for 1000e for someone my age.

You may try 4x7990 on one rig. That will be faster than the 5x470.
Those are rare used in my region, and seem expensive...

7990s shouldn't be expensive atm, they are simply dual Tahitis on one board (280X/7970). You can probably find cheap 7970s online.

The cost of the 7990 is less than $200 at the moment. The hash rate is more than double of RX 480 in ZEC.

35  Economy / Economics / Re: Big Crash coming on: February 21, 2017, 04:02:49 PM
i dont have Ny money left so i am not worried aboutany crashes.. by the way we can see the price at the highest levels so being crashed has a lot of chances

The world economy might crash. but the bitcoin price will rise.
36  Economy / Economics / Re: Big Crash coming on: January 03, 2017, 05:16:49 PM
Just to let you guys know a big crash is coming in 2016 in the economy. There is going to be a huge financial crisis but it will be worse than 2009.

The bitcoin price will skyrocket to over $10,000. However  bitcoin will be banned in all western countries. If you are reading this living in the west you should make preparations to move to Russia or China they are the only places you will be safe owning bitcoins.

The crisis will be so big it will destroy entire countries and in 2017 there will be a civil war in the USA, UK and western europe. After this the world will never be the same again it will change so much by 2020 it will be unrecognizable compared to today.

2016 is over. There was no big financial crash, nevertheless BTC price is on uptrend.

I'd like to see if there's a crisis in 2017 so BTC price can hit $10,000

P.S.: Looking at the Brexit & Trump win, the USA civil war cannot be completely ignored Cheesy

I think for now it is hard to imagine that there is big crash coming this year.. since bitcoin is strong right now and many companies are supporting bitcoin .
The only reason that can crash will be happen is the reason if there is trading site again will hack just like last year. every year it is happening and the price fo bitcoin is always crash because hackers selling their hacked bitcoin.. that i hope it will not happen in this year..

They are talking about the general economy crashing, not the bitcoin.
37  Economy / Economics / Re: Big Crash coming on: December 29, 2016, 10:07:28 AM
When is that big crash supposed to hit because I have some low btc buy orders and they aint getting filled! Sad

The lowest bitcoin price in the next few weeks could be around $920.
38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bo Shen hacked? ETH, REP sold on poloniex? on: December 08, 2016, 05:52:33 PM
this is just an attempted to stabilize the vaporware eth. no smart person who is smart enough would hack and dump the crap on poloniex. the story the hacker(s) dump these coins on poloniex. any reputative exchange like polo or kracken would exposed this person or handed information to authority, also limit withdrawal from none verify user is $3,000. all don't add up but then again majority of these dumb bagholders are dumb anyway to realized anything.

Maybe Bo Shen had a verified account and they had access to his 2FA, then just dumped from his own polo account and withdrew elsewhere.

That is why I do not have a verified account in Poloniex. My daily withdraw limit is $2000. It will take 60 days to withdraw my coins there.

There isnt much left of 2016 for this crash.  I think its coming but might be 2 years yet.  Tension is building, society has become more fragmented. Every generation expects big things to happen though, who knows.

It's all empty speculation. People just say something where after 2 weeks they don't know what they have said anymore. Or they changed their prediction in something less extreme because they realize that their predictions don't make much sense. If there will be a big crash happening, that it will be a crash that mainly hits poor and developing countries. Early signs are already showing up.
In fact the price of bitcoin as we can see that continuously increasing therefore it is becoming out of reach of people to buy it, therefore some people are busy in spreading wrong news about bitcoin so that people start panic selling and the price come down to some low level and they can buy a good amount of bitcoin easily, but I think these struggles are useless as we can see that the price of bitcoin Is regulary increasing as people are still joining bitcoin.

It is not out of reach for most people. If you cannot afford one bitcoin, you can just 0.1 or even 0.01 bitcoin.
40  Economy / Economics / Re: Big Crash coming on: November 09, 2016, 02:41:22 PM
The big crash is postponed. The FBI has stopped the investigation against Hillary Clinton. Two days before the election. Now nothing stands in the way of their victory. The exchanges are already celebrating this with good day wins. I am convinced that the election of Trump will not be a black swan for world economy.

If Trump wins he should first initiate investigations against the FBI themselves, their director and his accomplices. On the flip side, how do you know that the election of Hillary will postpone the big crash or even remove the possibility of it altogether? Markets are evidently smelling easy money, but wouldn't that bring crash even closer to reality? Something like wild merry dancing on a volcano?

The market is simply making back the losses since Comey announced prematurely that the FBI was looking at Clinton's emails again. If you look at what that did for Trump, it improved his chances of winning from the low 20 percent to mid 30 percent range. That's a huge swing. The increased likelihood of a Trump win caused investors to flee to safety because one thing that smart money knows is that Trump would be a disaster for the economy. As Trump's odds have fallen back down, money is flowing back into the market. That's what the big rally today was.

I also believe that Trump will not bring anything good economy. But I still hope that Trump will not fight cryptocurrency. In this case, people will be able to save your dollars convert them into Bitcoin
I am not an american so basically I cannot vote for a candidate who supports crypto currency. I just hope who even win the election will support bitcoin so we can still have more progress in the future, america is an big country so they are big part of the success of bitcoin.

If Trump want the US economy to grow and people have better life, he should encourage the use of bitcoin.
