21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [DVC]DevCoin - Official Thread - Moderated on: August 15, 2015, 07:48:40 AM
Since the coinzen forum is going to be switching soon, I will use this thread to post bounty proposals:

I'd like to propose a bounty for 240 shares, for sidhujag to update the devcoin client (https://github.com/sidhujag/devcoin-wallet) and devcoin android wallet (https://github.com/sidhujag/devcoin-android) from its current version, 8.5.1, to the newest bitcoin core, 0.11.0.

Notable changes per release:
0.9.0: https://bitcoin.org/en/release/v0.9.0 - windows 64 bit installer, autotools build system, bitcoin-cli changes
0.10.0: https://bitcoin.org/en/release/v0.10.0 - Faster synchronization, Transaction fee changes, RPC access control changes, REST interface, improved signing security, watch-only wallet support, and more
0.11.0: https://bitcoin.org/en/release/v0.11.0 - Block file pruning, memory usage optimization, improved fee estimation, improved privacy

If there are no objections, this will go into effect in about a week.

I totally support the move and change of forum that is hopefully going to take place. If it's going to be open source and creative commons. And I believe Papacrusher is correct with the idea of still having altcurrency.

I'm not that good with naming but I would say opensourcedvc.com or creativedevelopers.com or dvctalk.com

Am just bumping this thread, to keep it alive!

We need it to stay alive.

Do you know whats happened to dvc countdown? It seems to be an error:(

The dvc countdown is handled by Hunterbunter who is, normally, pretty responsive to pms on coinzen.com.

- Nova

I see that it has been fixed. So all good. Now I can keep track of the round and how long is left and the amount of shares that there are

24  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Sfards: SF3301 sample chip is available [Updated 04/05/15] on: May 07, 2015, 12:28:11 PM
Obviously the $200 for 2 chips is due to it being a sample size, pricey too. However if sfards were to ramp up production of chips then I'm sure the price would go down.

I would like to see the price of miners if SFARDS continues and makes their own hardware and produces one.

Any speculation on how much a miner could be once fully produced?
25  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Sfards: SF3301 sample chip is available [Updated 04/05/15] on: May 04, 2015, 12:14:16 PM
Now all we need is "How to build Minter with SF3301 Chip, for dummies"

What I see in this coin and thread is lots of posts stating things like "We need more pools" or "we need more merchants"

I think we get the point of all that and seems like nobody is doing nothing at all...

Therefore I think this coin is almost dead. I was a supporter but there has been no activity on progression. Just people posting... its mostly only talk...

I thought you were going to make a pool but you were waiting on donations is that still the case Ashley?

She probably just wanted to take the BTC and run lol c'mon

for starters I'm a guy... and I have been here since the thread got started!

And nope... I have no interest in taking coins, but to only help by opening a pool using NOMP, donating some fees back to the CAC community

Also I am still looking to open a pool, but currently don't have the funds.

BTW, my PSU wasn't broken, it was my GPU! Just been testing and my computer starts when GPU is out... Guess I have to replace my 7950 somehow:( gonna try to get R9 280X next.

Sorry to hear that your GPU broke. How much is it to rent a pool like $15 a month?

I wish it was that cheap. I am looking for 0.25btc for set up and first month payment then it'll be 0.15BTC monthly which the pool would be able to pay for itself.

I might be able to pay for that, can I get the URL of the pool provider you had in mind? I wanna check it out.

Hey. I PM'd you information about the company and the link to the plan. Other people I talk to have said its a good place and servers seem to be really good.

Also, when I quoted BTC monthly costs, it was before BTC went up by $70 and from GBP to BTC. However USD to BTC gives a cheaper price (as always lol)

Got your PM, I'll check out those options and see what I can afford. It looks like there is a cheap pool option here like you mentioned it might be good to start small and upgrade as needed https://portal.livechains.net/cart.php?gid=39

After all not many people mining at the moment.

Does that include DDos protection if so that's a good deal for a little starter pool.

I don't think any of their plans include DDos protection

They do. On the plan it states "Anti-DDoS Protection: Anti-DDoS included"

35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] California Coin | Air Drop |Trading On Swisscex.com/Market| MultiPool Soon on: June 18, 2014, 10:22:08 PM
Let's work to get some Merchants to accept this and I think all the rest will fall into place once people can spend their CAC directly on goods & services with-out having to exchange them for BTC.

I agree. I have contacted a few people but no response... Don't really see much effort being put into it with getting the coin with potential merchants.

However, I am planning to open up an Exchange soon. My Pool idea is dead, but maybe ill extend within time to integrate to the Exchange
36  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] California Coin | Air Drop |Trading On Swisscex.com/Market| MultiPool Soon on: June 18, 2014, 10:15:26 PM
Profit switching multipool would be great too.

how hard is it to set one of those up?

Depends on the backend. You'll have to program the front end though and maybe a little of the back so that it checks difficulty and hash rate and determines how many coins can be mines in x time frame and then the value of those coins. It then compares all the other coins.

Unless CoinWarz has an api to use, then it'll be easier

Got my Air Drop coins and after a chit-chat with the DEV on Skype every thing checks out and I promised him I would ditch the negative attitude and begin constructive criticism. Lets start with a CAC/LTC market since there seems to be a 1SAT sell wall on SWISSCEX. Maybe increasing the bounties to get more pool owners drawn in to run CAC on there servers.

Congrats. Shame i live far away from California to get in on the airdrop:(

This coin might actually be a really good one to watch and get in on. I will be watching this thread.

Yesterdays match was a weird one. I thought Portugal would have won, but Germany won 3-0! Shocking!
It was the red card in the beginning that did that...

Didnt they win 4-0 ? I made bet on over 4.5 goals Sad .

Might have been. All I remember was seeing 3-0 on the scoreboard when I was watching, but I did miss the last 10-15 mins as I had to go do something.
