What about this. Current CKG becomes CKGB (Crypto Kingdom Gold Bars) that can be smelted down to 1,000,000 CKG per 1 CKGB. During a later airdrop of blockchain-based CKG (formerly M), 5 trillion blockchain CKG are airdropped, with roughly 1 trillion of that going to CKGB holders.

Better to leave game money supply as is IMO, then whales who withdrew during Risto's artificial peg have to deposit XMR to get skin back in the game, if they want to be a major player that is

If you airdrop on CKG it reduces the incentive for those who withdrew to 'commit' to the game, and some will have enough CKG to reload on game currency without depositing anything at all. If that is what the community wants then so be it, but I'd prefer no dilution of M in favor of those who cashed out, I don't like the idea of gifting game currency to people who might just withdraw it instantly anyway. Don't forget, some players withdrew over 500K USD in XMR and BTC at current prices, so it's not like they can't afford to deposit some hard crypto now to get game money, assuming they want to be major players again. 'M' is pretty cheap now too!

Many plots of land in the game went for thousands of XMR in the past, and there are many players who invested 1k, 10k, or even more XMR into the game. Just ask Karl Hungus who put over 30k XMR into the game: over 10 million USD at current prices!

Karl Hungus owns ~10% of M, so maybe he still makes his money back when CK moons one day Grin

I have contacted PJ to ask whether or not he'll be able to create the pathway for automatic deposits/withdrawals of the token, his answer was affirmitive.

If that's okay, I believe we should proceed with the Crypto Kingdom Markka tokenization?

Good time to be part of CK!

20 Billion M Bounty

Step 1: Create specs for a CK money asset. This will include things like type of blockchain, emission (if any), how it will be distributed to players, etc....

Stipulations are that the name of the asset is CK, Town gets 10% for development purposes, the development plan is complete to the point where the Board only needs to do a yes/no vote, and that you've coordinated your efforts with PJ so there aren't any unforeseen technical issues.

Step 2: Create and distribute CK to players.

Step 3: Get CK listed on an exchange that averages more than a million dollars daily in transactions.

PLEASE NOTE: This will be changing M into CK, so your Bounty will be effected if you change the supply above or below the current 4 Trillion. For example if you doubled it to 8 Trillion, your Bounty would be 40 Billion; and if you halved the current supply to 2 Trillion, your Bounty would be 10 Billion.

Nice bounty!

Where is best to contact PJ?

For one, there is almost no transactional volume in the game, nor will this be something that tries to compete with Bitcoin, so the distinction is moot. Let's be blunt: for all intents and purposes the game is pretty much dead.

Without a way for new players to deposit the game is obviously less active, but that'll change if/when the new depository opens. When the depo opens transaction volume will increase with new players, and then incentive to follow through on smooth's suggestion to split current M into game and ownership tokens kicks in, and then hopefully the game token gets listed on some exchanges.

I don't think anyone underestimates the damage CK suffered recently, but the potential is still good, and if the community keeps working together to fix the problems, then the future can still be positive for CK.
26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CryptoKingdom Uncensored on: August 04, 2017, 02:19:29 PM

Increased value of M would flow through CK economy without necessarily causing deflation, there are automatic stabilizers now, building payoffs in M being a prime example. Mooning M would put downward pressure on real estate prices, BUT, increased value of M building payouts would put upward pressure on real estate prices. During the sept 2016 revaluation event no such countervailing effects existed, and the game owed XMR denominated debt at the time also, which isn't the case now.

At that time the building payouts were made in XMR also. The only difference now would be M instead of XMR?

How would the results be different?

Last september the revaluation of XMR had nothing to do with CK, and the game was going to become insolvent in xmr, just not enough new deposits of xmr coming in, and insufficient demand for items to keep prices stable in terms of xmr.

Using M this can't happen, increased value in M will only come from increased demand for CK items, so M value is directly related to the health of the CK economy, and the game can't run out of M. If M moons it'll be a sign of increased activity in the ck economy, not an outside unrelated event, so mooning M will coincide with mooning ck item prices.

There is a possibility speculator demand could cause mooning M without there being increased demand and activity in the game items, but if that happened eventually the imbalance would correct itself, and speculator demand would fall off if the game didn't meet their expectations. Last sept there was no connection between mooning xmr and CK, so the only effect was massive deflation and eventual defaults on paying things priced in xmr.

27  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CryptoKingdom Uncensored on: August 04, 2017, 03:37:37 AM
An M exchange asset is going to create deflation

When XMR mooned 12 months ago it created deflation in CK assets, but that was an exogenous shock from outside CK that rapidly increased the value of CK's currency, which at that time was XMR.

If M mooned in ths future it would be due to people investing in CK, not people using CK's currency on a dark market like 12 months ago.

The relationship between XMR and other crypto coins valuations and CK item valuations is not the same as before, all demand for M is based on confidence and speculation in CK, so it's endogenous demand. Mooning M would have effects, but not universal deflation like before, and strategies for coping with sudden revaluations of M would offer skilful players opportunities for profit.

If you want to work through the economics think of CK like a country like Greece. Last year the game got stuck using a strong currency, like Greece is stuck using the Euro, and that caused deflation and similar debt repayment nightmares to what Greece has suffered. Unlike Greece which is politically stuck in the EU and unable to easily restore their own currency, CK was free to do an xmr-exit, and now our currency M can float against all other crypto currencies, so M has been devalued and is very cheap now, and 'attractive' to investors. The whole 'grexit' debate is about avoiding further deflation by decoupling a weak economy from a strong currency, CK already did this, so if M demand goes up it's unambiguously good!

An ARDOR 'child chain' would be perfect to put everything about CK on a blockchain, based on NXT tech which has been around since 2013 and fully tested and battle hardened.

Here's a summary written by ARDOR core dev 'riker'

You'd basically get your own version of NXT as a child chain, so your main token 'M', plus all your other itmes would become 'assets' with all the features of dividends and messaging etc.

You couldn't design a better system for your Game if you tried IMHO.

I agree, an ARDOR child chain for the backend blockchain, messaging, voting, asset creation, and dividends etc, with a CK web front end, and agora providing a faster trading engine similar to a regular exchange like poloniex would be a great solution. I suggested this once before but Risto didn't like it.

The problem isn't so much technical, but governance - Everyone would need to agree to move the whole DB to ARDOR, which given the current situation doesn't look likely.

If CK is going to put any assets on a blockchain the whole community needs to agree on the details, otherwise it's not going to work. The asset(s) need to have 100% of their supply made into tokens, otherwise it's not decentralised and backed by the whole of CK, so everyone needs to agree, and there would need to be an organised swap of current Agora assets for blockchain assets.

At this stage, I am game for anything that makes it where the "crypto" in the damn game title isn't such a fucking joke anymore...

afaik ARDOR will start with one 'child chain', IGNIS, and the ARDOR dev's are having an ICO to sell off 50% of the IGNIS chain's token, and for projects simply wanting to issue an asset they'll most likely just use the IGNIS child chain.

If CK acted quickly it could be the first project to start it's own child chain, and if that happened the support from ARDOR devs would be huge as they'd obviously want to have the first independent child chain project do well. The NXT community has always had a great rep anyway, very helpful.

If the CK community was interested in this idea it could just use some of Risto's M to pay dev costs and bounties etc , and could have the first 100% blockchain backed crypto game in the world.

Easiest path would be setup the child chain, then swap over M first while setting up player accounts/wallets on the child chain, then do swaps for the other items in Agora DB gradually. If some items were not suited to a blockchain, just keep them in Agora DB.

Great news that dev work continues on Crypto Kingdom!!

Any news on when building payouts might start again?

How about convene a General Meeting just to appoint a Judge to rule on the rpietila debt issue? That's the current impediment that's stifling everything.

His accounts will be used to pay back his debt if M is valued enough to do so, and he hasn't already done so of his own accord--that was decided a while back.

I didn't realise a meeting had already decided this, good to hear.  rpietila will no doubt scream blue murder when it finally happens, but as he's been given plenty of warning about what would happen if he didn't pay his debts, and he still hasn't made any offers to his creditors, then what else can be done

I'd pay to see that Smiley

Quote
CK Founding Document A.D. 1647 - Rules V.2.0 (working copy)

. Preamble

(edit the earlier "TOS" document)

I General Meeting

The General Meeting of CK holders is called, if:
- the Board so wishes, or
- the owners of 10% of the outstanding CK so demand from the Board for any reason. If the Board does not promptly respond with practical arrangements, it may be held nevertheless.

The General Meeting with its agenda must be announced 7 realdays in advance.

The General Meeting may:
- Change the Documents with a simple majority;
- Change the Founding Document with a 75% majority;
- Decide the number of Board members, which has to be 3-9;
- Appoint the Board members, so that each faction of votes gets to appoint members in proportion;
- Determine the compensation of Board members.

II Board

The Board determines the strategy and oversees the progress of CK project.

The Board may:
- Appoint a Chairman from among the members;
- Appoint a CEO and decide her compensation;
- Determine the CEO powers and responsibilities;
- Appoint a GM and decide her compensation;
- Determine the GM powers and responsibilities.

Someone please call for a General Meeting, get some people in positions, and start making CK great!

Without an exchange asset or deposhares, these would be unpaid positions, so doubtful there'd be any volunteers. Right now the admin/gm are working for free, but I doubt anyone would want to take on the ceo responsibility for free--though it would be welcome.

How about convene a General Meeting just to appoint a Judge to rule on the rpietila debt issue? That's the current impediment that's stifling everything.

How long until reptilian's coins confiscated?

I think his assets should be sold, and the M used to either pay debts and/or pay for further development to make CK great again.

Why not both? Debts first, better/more development second.

The first course of action, that hopefully Gringotts will help facilitate, is establishing a going rate for M that could then be used to liquidate Zech's currently unrighteous holdings. If 1 trillion M would go for 1000BTC there would be enough to settle the debt and have some left over to jumpstart development, sort out all of the (many) loose threads in the platform and maybe actually make CK stop being shit pretty quickly.

The reintroduction of so much currency into the market will surely make things interesting for a while as well...

Then you try doing it and you see just how much value was really lost from these few months of crazy and stupidity and sob when you see that $million holdings are now worth $100.

The only way there can be any resolution to this situation through just liquidating M is if M is worth reasonably close or more than what it was worth when the mass withdrawal occurred, and the only way for that to happen is if people reinvest in the game and participate in its market.

If you have value tied in the game right now, the success of the new depositories is pivotal in recovering that value, along with an increase in game trust and solid development direction and progress. Right now, with current levels of activity, involvement, progress and funds in the market... I find that happening hard to believe. I do think it is possible and even likely that it would work, but only if enough people want it to and spend actual effort and resources towards that end.

You can all make a difference if you want to, but the game right now is still in a state of disarray. Lack of direction, no cohesive strategy, illiquid markets, dysfunctional systems, minimal player activity, unproductive development... These are the things really holding CK back right now, not Risto's debt. Solve these and you create easy ways to solve Risto's clusterfuck as well.

At the same time, the game still holds extraordinary value in its potential and the things that do work. Instant transfer of value, long-term assets and holdings, interesting market dynamics, economics, possibility for complex roleplaying and historical simulation, etc. These matters made CK valuable, desirable and worth investing in.

They are still here.

The only things that may be missing now that were present through-out CK's history are abstract matters: trust and promise. These matters have had quite a bit to do with Risto in the past, but they aren't his monopoly. CK is more than Risto. CK is a collective effort that can, and in my opinion, has already moved on and is recovering. If we work collectively and more people take action the trust will be regained, the promise will shine again, and CK's quality and value will grow once more, perhaps much further than before.

Crying over spilled milk and sitting on your thumbs won't do that.

So... help make CK great. Not again, because it's always been shit, it's no less shit now than it was a year ago, but it could be not shit if its potential and direction were properly managed.

Great post! There are enough features now to get more players, gambling, online wallet and exchange functions are enough, plus the game itself is cool, and can be made better with some simple fixes to building module, and if some of risto's M ends up being used to pay for development and other costs then let's do it. I'd like to see him stay and fight a war, but looks likely he'll go, so let's get on with it.

I agree it's time for action, we can all see the problems and complain, but working together to make improvements is THE only hope, and the goal of making M marketcap able to pay b1 debt and have money left over for development is not that difficult, probably a marketcap of 10-12 mil USD for M and we'd have a decentralised leaderless crypto platform with money in reserve from risto's 50% to keep growing.
35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CryptoKingdom Uncensored on: July 26, 2017, 11:11:16 AM
How long until reptilian's coins confiscated?

^ THIS, it's time for an ultimatum, whether you think rpietila is mad, scammer, victim, or a divine being, this impasse can't go on much longer.

I say it's time for M holders to vote on what to do with rpietila and his CK assets.

I think his assets should be sold, and the M used to either pay debts and/or pay for further development to make CK great again.

I agree, time for a vote.

I would like creditors to give risto some option to pay later when ck MK is higher so he can resume control of his player accounts, as I think his involvement as a non-admin non-GM player adds a lot of depth, now that he's the bad guy with +50% of in-game wealth, and if he comes back we're almost certain to get a WAR, which would be awesome for everyone. But, if that's not going to happen, then boot him out NOW, and let's get on with the game. Treading water like this can't go on forever.

38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Kingdom Game Thread on: July 26, 2017, 06:47:58 AM
I agree a WAR between Zechariah and HMC would be great for the game economy as it would create a surge in demand for many items, and if the winner got to plunder their defeated enemies wealth, then they have motivation to spend up big in order to win, but before it started the rules for these 'encounters' needs to be established very precisely, and GM powers refined and codified. It would be awesome for CK to have big players going toe-to-toe over big money stakes in a war, but it'd need to be fair.

Let's hope risto is up for it, if he is, CK will get a pump, lots of mercenaries here already.

Agreed, Would need to be fair, probably need a neutral GM, one both sides agree on.
39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Kingdom Game Thread on: July 24, 2017, 09:30:35 AM
As he owns 50% of M, if he doesn't pay and creditors seize his M, what happens then? At least giving him time to pay encourages him to stop damaging the game further.

It depends, does the game have any actual value?

Because if the plan is for the game to derive value primarily from his participation, I'd question whether his participation is just an excuse to fuck over people for his own amusement/gain again, and that isn't something I'd want to be a part of, even if it did offer some potential for a recovery (i.e. at the expense of passing the baton to the next set of victims)

If the game is to have value without relying on His Highness's unreliable and untrustworthy participation, then a reasonable in-game adjudication in light of his behavior is to transfer his in-game assets to creditors anyway (or liquidate them and transfer the proceeds).

I'm neutral on whether there is enough outside interest in the game for it to ever regain value. But I don't see that hinging on whether he participates or not. If it can succeed, it can succeed without him as easily (and at this point, perhaps more easily) as with him.

Then again, i'm one of the smallest creditors. I'm content to carry the debt indefinitely knowing that he scammed me (and my managed player) and conveying that accurate information to anyone who has an interest in knowing it. Others may be more overextended and willing to undertake desperate or even misguided measures to recover something.

I actually think the game is far more interesting now than it's ever been, at least since I started following. Things seem more real now - real animosity, real money, real emotions - so if zechariah gets his accounts back and has to play as a regular player without GM or admin powers, then I'd expect things to escalate and get interesting pretty quick. Risto wanted to establish two polarities to make the game more interesting, and he's succeeded, and if he comes back there'll likely be a war, and that makes the game infinitely better IMO.

The debt issue is mostly outside CK now on the btc blockchain, and while the game can probably succeed without risto, his involvement makes it much more compelling, and if he isn't the GM or an admin, then he can't scam any new players, but he can continue playing the 'bad guy' (or is he the 'good guy' ...?), which seems to be what he's after. I honestly think if there's a war things will get pretty cool, and what's at stake will be real $$, and real hatreds, and real scores to settle, so CK would be in a far higher dimension. The game has lacked 'encounters' up til now, but if zechariah comes back we'll see battles and plunder and bandits and sieges with booty and murder etc That's good stuff!!
40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Kingdom Game Thread on: July 24, 2017, 07:39:28 AM
This is the best roadmap forward, let Zechariah start repaying his debts when M value has recovered, creditors would accept this, as alternative is they all get nothing, and CK is dead.

I'm certainly not going to accept an unsecured promise from someone who has broken his word several times and continues to post delusional rants about being god.

If he were to post the funds with a trusted escrow subject to being released to repay the creditors on some reasonable conditions, then maybe.

He is not unable to pay what he owes. He has infinite resources according to him, and there is some evidence of millions of dollars worth of actual coins in a Poloniex account.

If he wants to scam, then so be it. If he doesn't, then he will pay.

It actually has very little to do with CK at this point. This is really about one person who racked up debts and then walked away from them despite apparently being perfectly able to pay.

If no one other than Risto cares enough about CK to rebuild the game without him, then what exactly is the point of it? In hindsight it looks mostly like a vehicle for him to fuck people over. Whether this was done for personal gain on his part or merely personal amusement is not as clear as he suggests, nor does it particularly make any difference to those who got screwed.

If rpietila doesn't want to pay using the argument he's already lost 50k xmr,  then creditors have three options,
1. Pursue debts irl
2. Pursue debts in-game
3. Walk away

Rpietila has nothing more to lose in-game with his accounts locked, so unless someone takes legal action against him, he's going to walk away, and then the creditors will get nothing, and CK is probably dead. His reputation is shot to pieces no matter what, so even if he pays up, he's past rehabilitation as a trusted actor ever again, so his motivation to pay up is based more on him getting access to his accounts, and a continued audience for his antics.

Everything you say is correct, but for anyone who wants to get paid, and wants CK to survive, the best option is negotiate.

As he owns 50% of M, if he doesn't pay and creditors seize his M, what happens then? At least giving him time to pay encourages him to stop damaging the game further.
