I'm bought my first GAME today and I'm interested in what you are talking about here.  So I take it there is a marketing campaign for mobilego on bitcoitalk in the form of avatars with the mobilego logo on?  And people receive some mobilego in return for changing their avatar is that correct?  Could you please point me in the direction of the info about this so I can take part.  Thank you.  (It's just that its a 90 page thread and I don't want to have to scroll through the entire thing).  Also from what I understand the mobilego ICO hasn't started yet?

Hi Just wondering what the reason is that no darknet items aren't allowed on bitbay?  I'm not saying I'm in favour of all of them by any stretch but thought the more vanilla items could potentially be ok?  Has this discussion been had?

Also if there is only 1 (great) developer and no marketing budget how will word spread?  Marketing is clearly an issue at the moment.

Also how long before the other smart contract options are available, like "find a job" or "hire someone"? They look useful.

Meh, bitshares had regular newsletters and even regular weekly group mumble hangouts (audio hangouts) with the CEO and it turned out to be garbage.  What difference does it make?  Real companies who are listed on stock exchanges do quarterly updates to investors I think? We get more regular updates than that from the factom blog.  When there's an update to be made, we are updated about it.  No doubt things are in the pipeline but what good does it do to hear about them earlier?  As long as they happen and usage increases that's what matters.

If a Universe can come into existence randomly, then the chances of us being in the first Universe are incredibly slim, in fact there would be infinite universes if they can be born randomly. Therefore, if they can come into existence randomly,life and intelligence would have evolved before in a previous Universe. That intelligence may have developed the ability to create Universes, in which case we could either be living in another random Universe, or one created by an intelligence that evolved in a previous random Universe.

For companies to use Factom they have to buy entry credits.  Using entry credits burns factoids, reducing the supply, so once entry credit usage picks up the price should go up due to decreasing supply.  Note that after milestone 3 new factoids will start to be added to the supply, but the overall supply will still go down if the usage is high enough (what long term factoid investors are predicting).

My guess is that will take us to around 0.005, real moon is much later when entry credit usage goes through the roof and factoid supply gets sucked up.

This is excellent news.  Factom is proving itself again and again to be a ship headed for the shores of success.  It may be some time, perhaps a couple of years (my guess) before medical records are actually being secured by factom, but the seed has been planted.  They'll obviously be a temporary bump in price (happening already).  This is confirmation that Factom is a long term hold.  Not to mention this is actually a really good thing for the world.  Ethical and profitable, what more could you ask for?

I haven't looked into this Apostle thing, but even if it were a better product, Factom has a much bigger and better team and is a lot further along in the business side of things in terms of funding (a big deal) and potential partnerships.  

I plan on holding my FCT for around 3 years by which time I expect Factom to have made some big deals and have high entry credit usage.  If I've learned anything from the past few years its to keep holding longer than feels natural.  If you can 'out-hold' the rest of the market on a good investment, you win.  This is one of the major reasons its easier to make more money if you already have plenty because you are less emotionally involved, so you can just leave it where it is and keep holding for much longer without feeling anything.  This is from someone who is up about x20 from their original investment into crypto a number of years ago.  I would have been up more like x100 if I'd kept holding, won't make that mistake again.

This is excellent news.  They were aiming for Sept/Oct and delivered in November so they are only about a month late.  That's proof factom can deliver.  We've got wallets as the next thing to look forward to as well as the end of the testnet. 

We can still only guess at this stage what the entry credit demand will be but I'm still expecting it to become very high and factom to be a thriving company of a couple hundred people in 2 years perhaps with FCT worth about half a billion or more.

It's volatile, get used to it.  And factom PR isn't bad, Factoids are open sources tokens, there is no "PR" for open source stuff as there is no department within factom for factoid PR.  They are busy working on the system that will result in making factoids valuable, but not by selling factoids.  Factoms business is to sell entry credits not factoids (FCT).

Factoids are connected on the 'back end' of Factom and we have the privilege and opportunity to invest in them as unaccredited investors.  A rare chance to effectively invest in a company at an early stage.  Usually this stage is reserved for accredited investors or VCs.  So there is no PR for us - fact!  And I am fine with that.  Just let them do their thing.  M2 is only delayed by about a month so far and the last we all heard was it is expected in November.  For those (including me) who happened to be in FCT rather than BTC right now, thats just bad luck, but Factom haven't done anything wrong (besides a small delay) and the future is looking bright.

The coin FCT value is not necessarily tied to the valuation of Factom the company.  We don't have to take into account corporate profit/loss like employee salary expense, office space rent, travel expenses etc.  That 'engine' drives the users of the open source tech, which is what FCT holders are invested in.  The expense for the open source protocol is paying the federated servers.  So for us the equation is simply projected entry credit use minus inflation paid to the servers (when that begins at M3).  IMO the FCT price can rise far higher than the $ valuation of Factom the company.
