Maybe you are right or wrong but you just don't think everybody is like you that believe that every opportunity in life need to be utilized to steal funds and do something imoral. Yup, If you look at the exact bottom of the cycle, $15.4k, $154k is the 10x. My Target price for Bitcoin's next ATH is $172k. I mean I am not asking much from Bitcoin, or am I? That's not that much and that's only going to be around 2.5x from the current price of $69k. And with what the speculations and analyses that I have read, 10x is actually more than from what they're seeing since it is past with the last cycles that we're in. So, IMHO $172k is possible but I hope that I still able to hold a lot from that time because many of us are likely to sell from the price ranges of $100k-$120k and $150k is going to be a survival mode for the ones who are still in diamond hands by that time. Assume you use DCA for Bitcoin, I agree that DCA is good for your portfolio with a big condition that you DCA with your money, not from any loan or don't use any leverages. DCA only with Spot market and your own money, then a next big step is withdraw your coin and store it in your non custodial wallet. Don't store it on exchanges because you use exchanges to DCA in. They can freeze your accounts, their exchanges can bankrupt and many risks you can not control. Be your own bank with non custodial wallet. DCA is not all-in, so why not? But even if its all-in, we still can pay the loan that we take before their due, as long as we are willing to do so. It can be a tactic, same to those business owners outside who also borrow money and use it to widen/expand their business. If we are only an investor, it is safe to use non-custodial wallets most of the times but traders may need to store a permanent fund inside an exchanger because this is where they can trade continuously. Not all alts are bad, and I already saw a lot of people who does a DCA with them. Usually it’s the banks’ business alone but you would need to go to government agencies to get the required documents. In my country, this is such a hassle. You will be directed to different departments and you will be asked to wait in line for hours. Sometimes even months would pass and they still has not processed your paper! I remember it took at least a year to get the money from when a family was deceased. A year is a very long time and it shouldn’t have been that way. I know the feels man, as we experienced the same thing when we attempted to claim our deceased father's pension funds. My mom used to process it for a long time like a couple of years but we are still lucky that one day her efforts got compensated. You might be right that it was because of how poor our government systems are but I believed that if we will give the staffs of the company or the officials of the governments department that we are processing our documents with, a kind of kickback or bribery, then they might process things much faster. I think the more objective approaches suggested in the thread, such as using Google trends and some other resources. To me, it's important to not just watch the global trend but see what's going on in my own country. So when there's local news about someone starting to accept Bitcoin, and especially if it's not a standalone case but is something multiple parties are doing, that's a good indicator to me. I also think that crypto fear & greed index can be useful to get the overall sentiment, but it's not specific to retail trends.
When we say global, I think it already includes our own country but before others it would be great if we can start on our own, so that we will know if BTC is now accepted if it's not accepted yet or it is now restricted if it's allowed before. The word FOMO does not only mean one individual, so what you said about multiple cases does make sense. If we are lazy, we can just refer to fear & greed index website, or tool/app because I think they also have it. Even if we say it's not specific to retail, I think that's fine and I think others can also do the same FOMO thing if they see that someone is doing it. Same goes to the retail when they saw others who are fomoing. |

Most of the people you'll be putting up that ad for have heard about BTC previously, but many of them are not interested in it and know nothing about the network and they do not care. That ad isn't going to do anything to change their mind about BTC, neither will it 'educate' them more than the little they already know about BTC. Like i have said, whoever is interested in BTC, knows where to get information about the network, and no bitcoiner needs to raise funds to put up ads for this purpose. How do you or how do we know if we won't try? BTC may be popular now but I think a lot of the population are still clueless about it. We are one of it before but BTC got our attention and we researched further about it, up to the point that we are now involved with it. So, if it happened to us, why not on other people? We only need to try our best to come up with a good and presentable approach in terms of marketing, so that we can increase our chances of attracting the public towards it. If only I have an extra money or are fortunate enough, I'd gladly donate to make this movement more possible and I think other solid Bitcoiners will do too. |
