all my rigs run on windows and till now i dont find problem or trouble with windows so i stay
but if you were told that your liner miners could get x2, x5, x10 more than on Windows? Would you decide then to try to mine on Linux? If that's really the case, why more people using windows instead Linux? |

Could someone else using this mobo post a picture of what your bios look like when running on 10 or more cards?
I just reset bios and change to gen 1 for all. No other changes needed, oh I use PCI2 as display. What you need is correct windows and driver. |

So I'm thinking about modding my bios' for my RX570s and RX580s.
I have 2 identical cards for each, so if I mod one of them and something goes wrong that leaves me with a bricked card, is it as easy as copying the bios from the good card and reflashing the bricked one? Or is there more to it than that?

I ended up going with 12 XFX RX 570 4GB and 10 Gigabyte RX 570 4GB.
I have 8GB versions and 4GB version of cards and im getting the same hash rate to not want to spend the extra $100-$150 mark up retailers or amazon is doing.
I will have a total of 5 Rigs each having 6 AMD cards. I will have a 6th rig with 2 cards in it used for testing, modding the bios, etc from the main groups.
The retailer's took care of the 2 limit per household issue for me so I was happy about that.
CPU, RAM, Server PSU and Breakout boards will be here within 10 days now or less.

Just receive 21.4 TRKC after 3 days mining using GPU. How long of your mining to get 20.2, which mining rig are you using? I have found the TRKC 20.2 success, have everyone been mining yet?
I got 24 TRCK for 20 hours mining and then quit cause no total due i see on webpanel (got it next day after i quit). 15KH/s. Don't know if TRCK better than ETN for now. |

My best scenario is like this, 12 GPU RX 5xx 1300w on wall with PSU 1000+850/750 (1000w for 7 gpu + system and 750w for 5 gpu), 13 doable but 2 last card hashrate halved. Do not use that adrenaline drive, use 17.11.4 and don't forget to change mod from graphic to compute for each card. At 1st, windows will only detect 7 but after you install driver it will show all your GPU. And you need to mod your GPU bios so you can get lower watt and higher hashrate. You can read at forum how to get it or maybe ask your friend to do it for you using teamviewer.

Maybe I will wait 2 more months for the sapphire 570 then...
Don't know if 2 months later you can get what we got for now. If its me I go with the cheapest and dual fan even hashrate slightly low. What we really need is faster ROI. |

Hey I bought a used copy of Windows 10 Professional off ebay for $50. Includes CD and original sticker off the computer. Should have it in a few days. This will be my first rig -- starting with 3 cards then will buy three more soon. I didn't think about the future, and multiple rigs, but I was wondering how you use the same copy of windows 10 (same image) on multiple computers. Doesn't microsoft make you activate each computer individually? I know they hvae required that since Windows XP.. haven't used WIndows in a while though. So I don't know. (I used windows ever since WIndows 386 -- 1989 -- all they way up to Windows 7, then switched OS.) If motherboard and everything else most same, just clone it no need to reactivate. Though most people used to crack it using toolkit. Even if they actually come to your house and ask for license, you have it right? |

What I think for PSU is like this. PSU 1000w with efficiency 90% >> so max on wall you will get is around 1000:90%=1111w and since they said 80% rule for best efficiency is like 1111x80%=889w on wall. So with 1000w PSU you can use 889w from wall, that's why for 7 GPU RX 580, 1000w is enough. Of course that's only for PSU like EVGA Corsair and Seasonic.

Just got my aftermarket vega 56 and it's using hynix memory.
can i still flash it to the manufacturer's vega 64 bios from reference cards? (samsung)
or which vega 64 bios can i flash to?
I'm having the same issue. I purchased a vega 56 red devil which has Hynix memory. I can't find any vega 64 bios with Hynix memory at all, they all have Samsung. Might have to stick with samsung only unless they start making Vega 64s with Hynix later on. Any one else figured out a way to flash a Hynix vega 56 to 64? Why you need to flash 56 to 64? I just use stock bios and modregistry for 56 and I can get 1925 h/s with core 1375 905w mem 975 900w. |

Dont forget to check your PSU voltage capacity and look if it is Single Rail or Individual Rail. This is because you might overload the capacity especially when your PSU is on Individual Rail. Better to use it only to supply Risers or HDD but for GPU i think its a big flaw.
On my side i used 2units 750 PSU to have a plenty GPU PCI-E Power connectors.
I only use it on my corsair PSU, since CPU and PCIE port get power from same port. |
