21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [2019-02-21]Cryptocurrency & Blockchain Arms Race Triggered By JPMorgan on: March 11, 2019, 05:05:10 PM
The newly created cryptocurrency “JPM Coin” by JPMorgan (JPM) is gaining momentum in the blockchain arms race amongst the giant United States (U.S.) Federal Reserve (Fed), at a higher rate. It’s the first bank to develop its own digital coin. The coin is pegged to the U.S. dollar.

Recently, JPMorgan announced that it had created JPM Coin, a digital currency that allows users to transfer funds promptly, and also push its weighty global transactions as part of its major wholesale payments commerce.

Read the details in the article of Coinidol dot com, the world blockchain news outlet: https://coinidol.com/cryptocurrency-blockchain-arms/

lol and this is the bank which was the main antagonist to all the cryptomarket. They showed their hate to crypto world and no one could ever think that they are going to create their own crypto. What a hypocritical situation. Never trust anyone's words especially in press and when it comes to making money...
22  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Regulators in Israel Eye Crypto to Give Traditional Trading a Big Boost on: March 10, 2019, 05:11:56 PM
The Isreali has decided to take the bull by the horn. This is what the Isreali top Security regulators got in stock.

Israel’s top securities regulator is recommending the creation of a cryptocurrency trading platform with enhanced regulation. A committee at the Israel Securities Authority (ISA) says the move would allow companies to engage in fundraising through the issuance of digital tokens.
According to a report by Reuters, the committee’s recommendation follows two years of studying blockchain and cryptocurrencies – and after 10 years of watching traditional trading activity in Tel Aviv decline.

Wow, that's really great news for Israel! How I wish there was the same approach in Russia as well)) But it seems our government is more likely to ban all this story with cryptocurrencies and forbid it with the criminal responsibility. Following the steps of China I guess...Why governments can't understand that crypto can't be stopped, it is our financial future and nothing can prevent it from becoming so. I' more than sure in it.
23  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Dead cat bounce or the start of bull market? on: March 10, 2019, 04:47:16 PM
Hi, yesterday almost every cryptocurrency was in green numbers (+10% in average).
What is your thought? Do you think that we are finally found the bottom, or it is a fake bull sign and crypto will fall more?

I think we have found the bottom and it is 3000$ for bitcoin. At least I hope it is so...As for now I'm waiting for the change in crypto market movement - from bearish market to the bullish one. I do believe that it will happen in the second half of this year however I admit then the pump can be delayed till 2020 when bitcoin halving takes place which I think inevitably will lead to the bull run of the whole crypto market.

4 of Tokyo's Hottest Nightclubs to Accept Bitcoin Cash

Quote

Every month or weekly, there are good news on the side of BITCOIN CASH yet they are still not that bullish in the market.
People are looking for the acceptance of any coin in many merchant which BCH made. but why still not pumping good in the market?

I'm asking myself and others this question each and every day)) There are PLENTY of good news in crypto world concerning a great number of different coins and tokens but still the market is still Smiley That's the biggest mystery for me at the moment. It seems like nothing can ever influence the crypto market. And this makes me fear because it means that we can hardly ever see another pump on this market. I wish this only seems to me and we WILL be witnessing anther bull run in the second half of this year or in 2020 at the latest.
25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about Post-ICO Bounty? on: March 09, 2019, 04:53:44 PM
I started a thread here last Month, November https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5070456.msg47962086#msg47962086

One of our major strength will be the Post-ICO Bounty system.

How it will work:

The project can still continue to pay in Token or in cash even after the official Bounty has been completed. This will make it possible for project owners to promote their project easily using the same method in which funds were raised.

We will like to hear from you!

After raising funds via ICO, you would just prefer to advertise your project or would you still love to promote your project using the Bounty method?

EDIT: We successfully launched a platform that can handle post-ICO bounties https://teambounty.com | Contact me via Telegram for listing guide @FATechnologies

The idea is not new to tell you the truth. The problem is that many companies are getting rid of holding any bounty campaigns as they are because of the inefficiency of the latter. And you are talking about post-bounties...However if someone can think of a effective way of promotion for post-bounties than why not? It's obviously not social media campaigns but maybe something like signature campaign or content marketing...
26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: MAKING BLOCKCHAIN TECHNOLOGY EASY FOR NEWBIES TO COMPREHEND on: March 09, 2019, 04:48:01 PM
Note: this is a suggestion. Critiques and modifications are welcome.

A lot of people take blockchain as something too technical. A lot of people are yet to understand the real-world value of blockchain technology. Most whitepapers are way too complicated for newbies to understand. Those of us that are developers and have a technical idea of how blockchain adds an extra layer of trust to the internet, find it easy to grasp the concepts of blockchain projects. But for newbies who don’t have much idea of how blockchain works, reading a whitepaper and getting the concepts behind a project is tough for them.

WHAT COULD BE A WAY OUT?
As a matter of fact, provided a blockchain project is not enterprise-level and offers services to the entire masses, it’s important for upcoming ICOs to find a way for none techies to easily grasp their projects, just like techies can easily grasp a whitepaper. May I propose the introduction of a STRAIGHTPAPER?

CONCEPTS OF A STRAIGHTPAPER

ICOs should create a STRAIGHTPAPER with the non-tech users in mind. A STRAIGHTPAPER would be an abstraction of all the technical stuff in the whitepaper. Everything is abstracted into simple non-technical words which newbies can understand. This might require the work of a good copywriter who has a good knowledge of blockchain technology. The work of the copywriter will be to pick the whitepaper of a certain project, read and internalize the whitepapaper and simplify the whitepaper on a STRAIGHTPAPER such that everyone including non-techies can understand it. This will go a long way in attracting new users into the interesting world of blockchain technology. Since anyone can easily understand the STRAIGHTPAPER, even individuals that have never encountered blockchain technology before can easily read, understand and contribute to the success of the project.

A STRAIGHTPAPER BOUNTY MAY EVEN BE POSSIBLE

Projects might even decide to add a STRAIGHTPAPER BOUNTY to their bounty campaigns, where good copywriters are given the chance to submit their written STRAIGHTPAPERS FOR moderation. These STRAIGHTPAPERS could then be added into projects’ bitcointalk ANN threads so that anyone, even those without a technical background will have a clear understanding of the project.
Soon, I will take a project and create a STRAIGHTPAPER for it, just as a sample. I will create a thread for STRAIGHTPAPER samples of projects where I will paste my STRAIGHTPAPERS written for projects. Trust me; you will be amazed as to \ how such STRAIGHTPAPERS could go a long way towards bringing more interested people to projects.

Great idea I think! But on the other hand it would be no so easy to implement because very often it is not too easy to explain technical stuff with non-tech language. Maybe only the main idea of the project but the details...It would be practically impossible! However I think new projects should give it a try. Really love the name for this thing - "Straightpaper"))
27  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: True or false? on: March 09, 2019, 04:43:12 PM
Many people around me are still saying that the last bullrun was nothing but a bubble and it got bust so we are never going to see any anymore that the present market condition is just realistic? I'm not saying its not realistic but is bullrun gone for good ? Please share your opinion

Any bullrun is nothing but a bubble, it's an axiom. But another axiom is that market has its cycles which means that after the bearish market ALWAYS comes a bullish one and vice versa. So after this long dump there WILL be another great pump or whatever you call it. You just need some patience. So hodl and believe in crypto!))
28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Top 5 Crypto Exit Scams on: March 04, 2019, 04:13:40 PM
https://icodog.io/analysis/top-5-crypto-exit-scams/

Note: The exit scams are not in any particular order.

BitConnect – $2.6 billion
If we had to list the king of all exit scams, then BitConnect would be the king. BitConnect was a Ponzi Scheme where the investors are attracted with a 40% return promise. That’s not all, they have lucrative money back schemes divided into a four-tiered system. Overall, the investors are pulled into the project with a one percent gain per day.

Even with experts calling out BitConnect, it managed to garner a huge $2.6 billion from the market before it decided to do an exit scam. The process started when they closed their internal exchange platform and also depriving investors any money.

PinCoin token – $660 million
PinCoin is undoubtedly one of the biggest ICO exit scams in cryptocurrency. It is executed by a Vietnamese company, Modern Tech. To raise money, they started their ICO where they would give investors PinCoin token in return for investors’ money. They managed to raise an astounding $660 million from just 32,000 people.

The twist arrived when they launched another token iFan and started offering iFan to the investors of PinCoin. iFan was a token for celebrities to be used on social networks.

After that, Modern Tech company completely vanished. The team behind the whole scam left the Vietnamese company and settled in unknown places. If you want to know more, we recommend reading complete coverage by TechCrunch here.

Pure Bit – $30 million
Even cryptocurrency exchanges are into exit scams. Pure Bit, from South Korea, a cryptocurrency exchange carried out an exit scam. They got away with $30 million of user funds. The first sign of the scam came when they started to delete their social media accounts. At the same time, they also started to kick out their users from the famous KakaoTalk chat groups.

The final nail in the coffin came when they renamed their chat group to “I’m sorry.” It was evident that they had done an exit scam. The scam took a toll of $30 million, i.e., 13,000 Ethereum(ETH) at the time of the exit scam. They also moved $10 million worth of ETH from the Pure Bit’s address.

PlexCoin – 15$ million
PlexCoin exit scam took place in December 2017 when its ICO came to a halt by the US Securities and Exchange Commission(SEC). The action by SEC took place after the found Dominic Lacroix was found to be defrauding Canadian and American investors.

So, what went wrong? Lacroix advertised that PlexCoin would give the investor a return of an astonishing 1,354%. This caught the attention of the SEC. Even experts didn’t approve the ICO due to its exuberant claims. Another reason for the red flag was Lacroix’s idea to push fake experts to give PlexCoin an excellent rating. Ratings are important, and are used to convince novice investors.

SEC then froze the $15 million funds and the company was fined $100K for the scam. The CEO Dominic Lacroix was also jailed. This is one of the biggest attempted exit scams which was stopped right before the tracks.

Prodeum – $0.5 million to $1 million
Prodeum was an interesting project that aimed to provide a fruit and vegetable coding system. They advertised themselves to use Ethereum blockchain and asked investors to invest using ETH.

However, their exit stunt was one of the worst. After raising money, they updated their site with one single word, “penis.”

At the time of the website change, all the social media accounts vanished. They also removed their white paper. This didn’t end here as one of the project founders came forward and said that he was a victim of identity theft. He also mentioned that he never heard about Prodeum and trying to figure out who used his identity. Nevertheless, Prodeum successfully scammed somewhere between 430 ETH to 970 ETH which at the time of the scam ranged from $500k to $1 million.

Nice selection of large crypto scam stories. From all the mentioned I was only aware of Bitconnect however I didn't take part in it, thank God. I do know some people who lost a lot of money in this scam story because of their greed and desire to get rich quickly. I think such scams are being created exactly for such people to give them a lesson otherwise they won't change and understand anything.
29  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how you feel at this point(currently) on: March 04, 2019, 04:02:38 PM
i am feel , this stable point keep for some time, after 2-5 years we can expect huge bull run. near future i am not expecting and i dont think bull run comes.
now no new investment coming.

my portfolio now below 50$ , i am anyway ok. i know this will be rise ...

how about your thought

https://www.bitcoin-socialclub.com/

With such a portfolio you can easily stay calm, no doubt)) But if you would have several millions in crypto you would speak in a different way...There is no doubt another bull run comes, this is the question of time only. As for me I think it will be next year because of Bitcoin halving in 2020. However I can be wrong and the crypto winter will last for a longer period of time...
30  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why I won't give up on: March 04, 2019, 03:56:53 PM
I'm sick and tired of negative thoughts people are passing unto each other of here and believe me that won't help anybody ,infact its an act of discouragement which s not needed at all as an investor

- in the past I started with faucet ,yes you heard me right,I never had cash to buy coins so I kept gathering SATs through faucets and at that time bitcoin was at 1000+ per one so faucets payout was still very good and I did this for several months till 2017 bullrun and I make good profit through faucets ,why I'm sharing this is

+Sometimes you have to stay positive to achieve aims, neglect the negative thoughts ,I was in a very bad shape then and today I'm glad I'm able to have good big portfolio but LOOK WHERE I START FROM ,bounties and airdrops don't pay like in the past they say ,does that mean THEY WILL NEVER PAY AGAIN? What have you learned to be able to SPOT GOOD projects ?

-I won't give up because good things don't come easily ,just don't expect that you will make thousands of money as if money falls from the sky ,accept the challenges and you will get better than yesterday.

-people are saying ICOS are bad they don't pay ,same to airdrops too ,please kindly look at the profile of those spreading this news they still have SiGNATURES on there profiles means they don't give up ,you shouldn't too ,believe that things will get better with time and make yourself a better person than yesterday

-Scammers are making almost all ICO looks bad I accept but if we extract the scammers as if they never exist what about market condition? We can't do anything about it as it will take time to recover ,please let's not be weaklings ,let's stay strong ,keep patience alive and keep learning so we can get better at spoting good projects ,thank you.

Well said! Nothing to add here to tell the truth. Just want to emphasize the importance of being positive and hoping for the better. Such an attitude can really change the things and can give all of us only the understanding and importance of patience, tolerance and cold mind. The market always rewards the most patient ones so  hodl your crypto and believe in its bright future and then everything will turn out to be exactly so.
31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: STOs are really the future of ICOs? on: March 04, 2019, 03:49:12 PM
After the success of BTT and FET, I think in the IEO will be the future of ICO. STO has too many legal issues to deal with.

I don't quite agree with you, because IEO is nothing more but the same sh*t. When everyone understand it, the majority of IEO will have already gone to scam. And we will witness the same situation like we have with ICOs right now. But STO is a different story. For sure there are a lot of legal issues and other stuff with it but on the other hand exactly these things will give trust to STOs and you won't lose your funds any more.
32  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to recognize a good time to sell a coin? on: March 03, 2019, 04:50:05 PM
Hi all!
I and many of us here earned a lot coins form bounty campaigns. And I have real dilemma: How to recognize a good time to sell a coin? How to avoid loosing everything by holding coins that will die, but also how to choose coins that are good to hold because they can give us 10x,100x.
Thank you for your comments Wink.

As for me I try to stick with the following algorithm: when I receive a payment for a bounty campaign participation I always sell half of the reward at the current market price whatever it is at that moment. This way I always get profit from taking part in bounty campaigns and minimize risks to lose everything in the long run. Another half of the bounty reward I Hodl until the coin makes me at least x10 (or higher) of profits or until it becomes scam and dies.
33  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Future for cryptocurrency? on: March 03, 2019, 04:14:51 PM
With blockchain data can be stored in a decentralized public book.

With cryptocurrency, we can make anonymous transactions without centralized intervention.

If you add speed and spread to the public, then the future is cryptocurrency.

How do you think?

Cryptocurrency IS the future. And there can't be any doubts about that. But one should understand if we, crypto community, won't popularize crypto and won't believe in it ourselves then the whole new market surely dies and no one will be able to save it. But if we try our best to make crypto widely spread and used then we we get a perfect bright financial future for us and our descendants.
34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to distinguish between good and bad projects on: March 03, 2019, 04:11:15 PM
How can you quickly distinguish between good and bad projects and even being invincible in the bear market?

In fact I join an ICO Rating Project recently and now I am testing if the project do help to investors.
Our team has analyzed almost 3,000 blockchain projects.
The analysis dimensions include Exchange, Community, Sentiment, Code and Market.
This project began half a year ago and is currently in beta.

Contact me if you are interested and you can download it for free.

The first thing you should do when choosing the good project and ICO is to check out the team behind this project. Because the team is the main driver who will lead the ICO to success or to scam. And you need to distinguish whether the team is real or not, good or bad etc. Besides you must carefully read the whitepaper and analyze the road map trying to understand how real the implementation of the project is. The last but not the least you need to check for the competitors of chosen project and guess if the team would beat them or if  would be beat themselves...
35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think ICO is a good way to raise money? on: March 03, 2019, 04:04:50 PM
Hello , What do you think about ICO as a way of raising money in the next years? .Specially after all the scam projects we have seen before, like last time  the team of a project called elementh(https://icobench.com/ico/elementh) claimed that they have to quit the project since they did not have enough resources eventhough they raised about 8M USD , and after ICO no single step forward the development of product has been achieved.
They wanna return the money to investors as btc and eth after all this bull market (btc was about 10K usd ).

I think that ICO as it is does not have the future. It will be transformed to something more stable, regulated and efficient like STOs. The latter at the moment is the real hope for the whole industry as well as the launch of Bakkt, Fidelity, ETF and TON. All these things together will give a great boost to the crypto world and make the community active again.
36  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Market correction before bull run on: March 03, 2019, 03:58:43 PM
The cryptocurrency market is presently in a correction stage, correcting its prices because of the massive bull run that happened late 2017 and the correction period is always longer than the increase period. Veteran's in the market understand this very well and are focused on buying the bottoms but the newbies are the ones complaining and nagging about the market prices.

Yes, that's right, but just imagine if you were a newbie and try to stand in their shoes...You will probable be also complaining about the prices and shouting that crypto is a scam wherever you can)) That's their way to deal with the situation because they are so frustrated and don't know what to do, they don't believe anyone any more and they don't trust in crypto. We should help such people to understand the real things and how it all works then it will be good for all of us.
37  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be careful of strange projects on: March 02, 2019, 02:29:16 PM
Guys, it have come to my notice that some criminal minded guys are busy creating tokens and using it to defraud people, example of those tokens are *ripple classic, stellar classic, eos classic*, becareful guys and don't fall victim to their sweet mouth, they are busy listing them  in almost exchanges and using that to brainwash guy.... Becareful and guard ur money like ur whole life depends on it

If thinking like this then you have to absolutely ignore cryptocurrencies as the are. Because they are all made with a purpose of making money from their users. But at the same time all of them bring real value to the world of cytpo and to the community. That's why you can't ignore them let alone naming them a scam or anything else...
38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hardworking pays not luck on: March 02, 2019, 02:18:11 PM
We don't want luck we want to get paid for hardworking ,bounty that was once about how hardworking has now turn to 'how lucky you are' ,something must be done about this ,any ideas??? Since all devs makes use of Bitcointalk forum to advertise and draw people attention bitcointalk will Be the easiest strong wall standing between scammers and investors

yes, right at the moment we are witnessing the transformation of this sphere. Bounty campaigns are not the same as they used to be, but it's not a bad sign. This is just the "cleaning" and after it will be the next blossom of bounty campaigns and airdrops. Maybe the would transform in something more than simple ICO promotion. I hope that STO will get popularity as well and we will be able to earn for our hard work a lot of money again.
39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coin do you think would be the best in the long run? on: March 02, 2019, 02:09:01 PM
Which coin do you think would be the best in the long run?

Please recommend the coins.
I don't want to buy for short investment.
There are so many blockchain projects in the world.
What project looks most promising?  Smiley Smiley

Just take ANY coin from the top-50 cryptocurrencies on the coinmarketcap and invest in it. And that would be the right decision. Besides you can split your budget and invest in several coins this way diversifying your portfolio. I would do this way if I were you. Personally I invest in dozens of different coins which look promising for me...For example, I like NEM a lot. it's veeeery underestimated at the moment.
40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about Crypto now? on: March 02, 2019, 02:03:21 PM
I'm just curious if you guys still hodling your altcoins?
Do you still believed that we could get x1000 profit if we hodl our altcoins longer? And kindly suggest best coins should i invest this year.

Thanks.

Why not? The market always has so called cycles. Now we are in the bearish market which will then change to a bullish one. This is the question of time only...But it will not take too long time, usually a year or two. In our case 2018 was the first year, so this means either this year or in 2020 we will witness another flight to the moon. Be sure of it. And concerning the altcoins to invest in, just take ANY from the top-50 and you won't go wrong!
