2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: REWARDS CAMPAIGN 2.0- MOBU - FUTURE OF SECURITY TOKENS $250K on: March 27, 2019, 05:01:33 PM
So the bounty campaign is over! Thanks to all the Mobu team! I wish you good luck with further development and implementation of all the milestones! I've got several question concerning bounty campaign. First, when can we take off the signatures? And when the distribution of tokens is planned for? Thanks beforehand.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are your opinions on Crypto Banking? on: March 18, 2019, 06:30:30 PM
I know that a lot of people think "I can save my crypto's on my own with a ledger", but is that really the way we have to go? The idea behind Crypto Banks is to have a decentralized platform that can carry out all of the same functions that a traditional bank can without the need for a mediator.

But lets cut to the case, why this thread/question?
I've seen a pretty nice article about ATRONOCOM ( https://coindoo.com/crypto-banking-the-future-of-personal-and-business-finance/ ) with so to say chewed up informations about Crypto Banks, and i want to know your opinions on Crypto Banking also because there are a lot of Crypto banks that are trying to make a new platform/product. Should we start chasing them Huh

The idea itself is not to bad. But! On the other hand it breaks the very concept of cryptocurrencies and the purpose of their creation. Why in the world do we need bank when cryptos have been made exactly to avoid it. To get rid of banks and begin to use private money by p2p transactions - fast, secure, anonymous...And now banks want to dominate this new and awesome instrument by implementing it in their platforms)) What for I wonder?
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency Market Capitalization on: March 18, 2019, 06:24:41 PM
It is estimated that that the Cryptocurrency market capitalization went down to $200 billion from $800 billion that it was as at January 2018.
I believed it was due to the bearish market .
What I do not understand is while there is continuous growth of Cryptocurrency, people are picking interest and coming into the cryptosphere and yet the market capitalization is still not moving upwards.
What could be the challenge here?

I think the main "challenge" is market cycles not less not more. We all know that after a great growth always comes significant drop as a correction. And vice versa. So now after a long decrease of bearish market it is ready for the pump again. And we can see this by the increased volume of trade. It indicates that the start of growth is so close that we should be ready for it each and every moment. I think that this year we will witness some great pumps following by the strong bull run in 2020.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty Campaigns going into extinction? on: March 18, 2019, 06:18:03 PM
It is a well known fact that bounty hunters  are likened to promotional  arm of any ico projects.
They create awareness about these projects and get paid for their jobs.
So now that IEO seems to be the trend ...... Binance has carried out 2 successful IEO on it's platform and Bittrex did theirs today.
I have come to realize that none of this projects conducted any bounty campaigns.
If IEO eventually beats ICOs, that would mean the extinction of bounty campaigns.
Should bounty hunters be worried over this?
Why are this projects not conducting bounty campaigns?
Please I need an enlightenment.
Than you.

This is a very good question! ICO is obviously dying and so are bounty campaigns together with it. But we have to understand that now besides IEOs also STOs are coming to the stage. This is a completely new story and I'm more than sure that it will use bounty campaigns as a promotional tool. So it's really too early to bury bounties however I do think that the concept of how they are held will change and be completely different from what we know now.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Listing kills a coin? on: March 18, 2019, 06:12:38 PM
I used to invest in ISO and make a profit. Recently, a lot of coins in which I invested fall down after entering the stock exchange. I do not know what to do about it ...

You have 2 obvious options at the moment. The first one is to sell your coins at the actual price on the crypto exchanges right now and be not very happy because of the low price. And the second option is to wait for the bull run and pump of your altcoins. But no one knows when it will happen. In my point of view it will be in the second half of this year or in 2020.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Major Correction on its way ! on: March 18, 2019, 06:07:56 PM
Have been running my midterm predicting market modeling oscillators for about 3 hours now (i do some stuff in Python and R)

and it clearly shows a major correction downward is on its way

Anyone else doing some stat calc here?

Look at the daily volume. It has increased significantly. The level of 3900 is very strong at the moment. The market is obviously looking healthier than ever and is ready to grow...I think very soon we will see a strong pump. Hope that it will be the start of the new bull run till the new historical price highs Smiley
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why people are not fighting with post-ICO scams? on: March 17, 2019, 03:00:22 PM
Hello, we are all witnesses of ICO scams. But I am just wondering why people are not fighting against it?
Why people, especially investors are silent. Why they do not try to do as much as possible to get their money back? Calling police, lawyers and so on?
Many ICOs are created by real profiles - so it won´t be hard to arrest them, right?

Why do you think so? They are trying to fight! But think by yourself what they can really do if there is still no regulation in this sphere. Everything that we are witnessing is just some pathetic attempts in few countries to apply kind of regulation...It's not enough to sue scammers, to engage lawyers, police and so on. Besides very often it's investors fault that they being too greedy decided to throw their funds in another scam story not having made enough investigation and analysis of the ICO and the project...
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO makes me sick on: March 17, 2019, 02:25:36 PM
No funds no project idea makes me sick and tired of ICO ,I never like the idea right from the beginning ,why? Well to me if you are the owner of your business or company and you have struggled a lot to build it you won't dare want to let go or see it crumbled and fail, this is not present in ICO cases ,ICO is just like "oh if not much funds then I will back off and reopen another project maybe we can reach the hard cap" ,well if every developers are the ones funding there projects they will be more serious to make it a successful one,the easy safe path of backing out if hardcap is never achieved makes it feel easy for every one especially the scammers, I'm not been heartless ,if you don't have money to fund your project just don't bother ,many coins out there have no ICO ,no premine ,no bullshit with fine price per coin ,they never want any funds ,coins like masari ,Loki, haven project, dero rely on nobody fund yet they perform better than hundreds of ICO.

The problem is not in ICO as itself but in the people who launch it. I know a lot cool dev teams who are trying their best to bring real value to the crypto community and don't care about the amount of funds raised. And others only want to drain investors wallets and then to buy themselves lambos and so on. So I mean that this fully depends on the people who are implementing an ICO.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are altcoins useless? on: March 17, 2019, 01:05:46 PM
Now days we have more than 1 000 altcoins on the market. The question is, are people really using them? Frankly speaking only bitcoin, ethereum and monero are used for P2P payments. All others are used mainly for speculation purposes. Is it worth buying altcoins now days? I guess no, because all of them excluding tether are following bitcoin price chart.  I mean if bitcoin is going up or down, altcoins are doing same. (Tether is connected to US dollar rate and used mainly for arbitrage trading purposes) So do we really need altcoins? Regarding platforms, only ethereum is mainly used, and mostly for creating ERC tokens. All others, like waves, neo, etc are used very rarely. Monero is used mosly for shady deals because it is untraceable. (I doubt about that, because one dude who opened a shop on a dark web for selling drugs was cached by police last week. For communication he used 3 level protected VPN and was accepting payments only in monero) https://www.wired.com/story/monero-privacy/ You can read about dark web here. https://www.techadvisor.co.uk/how-to/internet/dark-web-3593569/ days. The main question is: Do we really need altcoins? Or Bitcoin, Ethereum and Monero are enough for crypto comunity this days?

You're right but only partially because many of the altcoins have value as utility tokens. And some gives you profit and dividends like security tokens. Every type of these altcoins do have a value for the owner. The only question is the level of this value, in some cases it is more in others it is less. Personally I have a lot of altcoins (ERC-20) in my portfolio because I do believe that when the market growth begins in 2019-2020 these coins will give me maximum profit as they already did in 2017.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is the cryptocurrency market starting to improve slowly? on: March 17, 2019, 01:00:46 PM
Good evening, I want to hear your opinion about the crypto market lately. Has the market really improved? Then when is the right time to start a long-term investment? Thank you in advance.

Regards,

warrior.coins

We can only hope that it is so. There are some signs of the start of market growth. But they can be a trap for the bulls. The time will tell like they say. So we can only be patient and wait for the market moves hoping that they will be some pumps but not dumps))
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Top 8 privacy coin on: March 17, 2019, 12:26:02 PM
Privacy coin will maybe the giants in crypto market soon because the usage of those coins in darkweb and the system its using by default which make transactions anonymous. Here is a list of 8 privacy coins. Do you think it will be good idea to invest in all of them.
Ignore the language, check the list only- https://cryptohabanero.com/2019/03/05/top-8-criptomonedas-privadas/?cn-reloaded=1

I don't think so because anonymous coins have a lot of pressure from governments all over the world. So the battle is coming)) And if such coins become out of law then everyone who owns them will be a criminal a priory. So I wouldn't be so optimistic about the future of anonymous coins and will think twice before investing in them significant sums of money.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where to get investment? on: March 17, 2019, 11:50:28 AM
Friends, tell me! If there is a great idea that will be in demand (I think so), but there is no programming experience and there is not enough money to hire a programmer, where to find investments in your project?
How much money is needed to create a high-quality crypto product?

The only way here is to find investors or money what is the same practically in your case. Try to find some platforms or institutes which are financing start ups. It doesn't depend where you are located because most of them have online presence nowadays. Just google the topic and will find the solution. I'm more than sure about that! Anyways I wish you good luck, my friend!
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to check if ICO is scam or not? on: March 17, 2019, 10:23:46 AM
Hey guys, I'm new to the whole ICO world, and BTCtalk as well. I've been reading about a lot of scammy ICOs that take people's money and run away. I'm looking to invest in a couple of ICOs but have no way of knowing if they are good or not. Can anyone tell me how I can go about doing this without losing any money?

You would never know for sure if the ICO is a scam or not. However there are still a few recommendations following which you can minimize the risk of being scammed. Among them is analysis of the current project, you have to carefully examine whitepaper of the project and its roadmap, checking if the roadmap is real to implement. One of the most important things is team analysis as well. It's not so important what the project and its product are than the dev team who is going to make everything happen. Believe me you will see it clearly if the team is suspicious/not real/fraudulent.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be aware, so many scam coins are around on: March 14, 2019, 05:11:04 PM
Now that most of the people are well aware of scam ICOs, scammer has found another way to scam people. I have observed 3 projects till now which I will list here and give you a highlights how they scam people, specially the newbie.

1. Privcy
Privacy was a free airdropped coin which was distributed freely over the community for helping promoting the project. Later, they decide to reward more to the holder of the coin in airdrops. The more coin you hold, the more airdrop coin you get. Newbies started to buy coins for getting more airdrop coin and DEV were selling their coin. I am sure they had a lot of fake accounts participating in the Airdrop. Can you believe they scammed people in such a way? Now, the project is died, 24 hour volume is- $620 which was less than $100 couple of weeks ago.

2. Profish
Profish was an ICO which came into the exchange before the bounty end. They were listed in mercatox and used to have some fake volumes. I don't know what happened to their ICO but they sold a lot of coins through mercatox and later, the price is now 1 or 2 satoshi from 650 satoshi. This is also a dead project. They scammed people.

3. Helios Protocol- Be aware
Helios Protocol is now airdropping coin to their community. This attract my eyes when I see user vectisitch was vouching the project. He was a moderator in privcy, so, there's no doubt that both of the project are from same person and this helios shit is also going to scam money. I want to alert you guys not to invest in this scam project.
Here is the vouching comment- https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5118682.msg50087444#msg50087444

I didn't know about such projects. Thanks for the info, will be very careful with all these scam ICOs and bounty campaigns. I hope that in the future there would be less scam projects because of the regulation of crypto sphere and the appearance of IEOs and STOs. Today we already witness some change in ICO launch standards and this cannot but please us!
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Got a Job after loosing hope in Bounties on: March 14, 2019, 04:07:07 PM
Hi,

I was a bounty hunter just like many others here. Was hoping that i can earn my living by doing bounty hunting rather then kissing someone's azz 9 to 5. But it looks as if the cryptocurrency world is not ready for us or may be not willing to accept us anymore.
So after sticking to my beliefs that it will grow and good times will come, but the time has come that i have to look for alternates and here i am sitting in an office doing "YES Sir", "No Sir" and hoping that i can have a financial stability to avoid doing job anymore.

Seriously looking for suggestion to gain financial freedom and don't have to do a job anymore.

Anything you do is actually a "job". So do you just want to do nothing? financial freedom only comes to those who selflessly do their favourite work. No one who has an aim to only gain financial freedom and make money has ever reached it. Money can't be the aim itself but an instrument for your development, learning, reaching new highs and so on.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Where do we go from here on: March 14, 2019, 03:37:52 PM
Few days ago the crypto market witnessed a sudden rise in price.. while it's not high enough to say the bear is over.. the market seems to be more stable nowadays.. do you think we will see the bull from here on.. or we will see another year like 2018

Personally I think that there is a chance that we will see a good growth in the second half of the year because a lot of great events are coming very soon. But if not in this year than the bull run will inevitably start in 2020 because of the Bitcoin halving which influence the price greatly. So be patient and wait for the pump))
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is product important for a project? on: March 11, 2019, 05:21:44 PM
Guys, how do you think, is a ready-made product important for ICO project?

In my opinion, it is, because it can show investors that the team is ready to bring huge results and has future plans.

As an example - KickCity, event platform where each user is rewarded for event promotion. You can try it today. More information you can find here  https://medium.com/@kickcity_io/kickcity-public-beta-5aa66fafc5c7

For sure the product u=is really very important for a project especially if the project starts its ICO with MVP and not just kind of idea. But this is not an axiom as the history knows many cases when ICOs without products have collected much more funds and get much more attention than the ones with the implemented products.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How long does Ico last? on: March 11, 2019, 05:18:35 PM
How long does Ico last?

So, my friend is participating in the subscription campaign in the OUTOFTHLOUD project. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4814891.0
then something has changed and now https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5085373
The rewards program began on August 1 and continues to this day. It has been 8 long months. Posts in social networks stopped at the end of 2018. For all Telegram questions, when the program ends for a fee, my friend gets one answer - after Ico. When asked when Ico will end - silence.
It’s a pity to throw a signature, it turns out 8 months of work wasted ...

Tell me, is there a limit on the duration of Ico? It can not last forever?

This is the problem of your friend that he hasn't learnt to choose the good ICOs and their bounty campaigns. It was obvious from the start that the project you mentioned is just a bullsh*t, you need only one glance at the dev team and everything is clear...So this is a good lesson for your friend. Such "ICOs" can last forever just because they are scam from the beginning. Be wise and don't fall into scam!
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to protect the market and the investors from manipulations of the whales ? on: March 11, 2019, 05:10:33 PM
It has been observed several times that the  cryptomarket boomed and after a short span of time it started to fall on the grounds with similar intensity .Similar patterns have also been observed in other markets for example the prices of oil touched the peak and nosedived ,share market prices, property prices shoot up and down with same speed .It is not limited up to a one or two commodity but the whole basket of the  commodity market is not spared resulting in exploitation of the small investors .In my opinion these big whales  jump from one market to another and not stay in one market and earn huge profit  .Technology can catch them if these are the same persons or group of persons who are  harming the interest of the crypto investors is a matter of study .Do you agree with my point of view.

You shouldn't protect the market because then it will stop to be so. Whales are not bad for the market because they are the ones who can start a new bull run and who made pumps in the past. If there were no whales Bitcoin would have never reached the highs that he did. For surely manipulation is not a good thing but without it you can be witnessing flat market for a long-long period of time...
