here is a first action plan for a takeover, that makes sense.
1) clone the git repository to get control over the sourcecode
2) Buy as much cheap Xemp as you can, this will fund your work, when price goes up
3) setup a website for the coin, tell its story
4) then open a new [ANN] thread and claim the takeover and make a nice complete OP (Firstpage)
5) open a crowdfunding to secure the coin with a permanent node at bitnodes.net
6) get xemp listed on Yobit, to be free from empoex and get trades going
7) Make a bounty in xemp for getting a Deveoper in
 ...to be continued ....
Get this actionplan done within 1/2 weeks, time is running out
if you don't show some hope, this will collapse in the next few days.

i will jump in and help if you have questions, if you manage to get this plan done,
i will provide connections, resources and ideas to step further.

im doing preliminary testings for the next release right now.
Coins:
you can run more than one coin at once (previous release proved this)
Chains:
wallets chains properly. all tests work. they stay synced once started. with one minor problem (talked about in last section)
Addresses:
it reads addresses two different ways, if you have used the wallet you load before. everything will load. it will tell you the coin, the address, and the amount in the address.
if it is a new wallet. it wont show up with the previous method. so it defaults to a second backup method. it will tell you the coin, the address, and for the amount will say unknown. probably 0. however this will fix as soon as you send coins and the wallet will be detected by the first method.
which tells us two things. 1: it does both checks automatically. 2: receiving coins works.
Recieving coins:
it works. i sent a test 1k coins to myself on both coins currently added.
Sending coins:
still working on that part
Application Settings:
there is an application settings page. only a few things work on it. a lot of it just says reserved. i will probably make no attempt to fix it. it will just slowly be filled in as the application becomes more developed with more features and coins than what it currently has
Transactions:
it displays transactions for a given wallet. you can choose how many are put in the chart at a time in the settings the range is 0 to as high a number as you can think. putting in a -1 will mean that all transactions are shown. default is the last 100 transactions. there will be an option to hide orphan tx's but probably not in the next release. it will only show the transactions for 1 coin at a time, you change the coin being viewed by clicking a radio button. every time a radio button is clicked the chart will automatically update to show tx for the coin now selected. this does mean that every time you change the coin it will have to regenerate a new list to display. which also means that spam clicking on them can cause a high amount of cpu usage and possibly the program to crash (however this seriously has to be attempted for it to happen) so if you reallyyyy wanna try to make the wallet crash. it is probably possible but you might loose your coins so there you go.
release ETA:
idk.. another day assuming i dont have any problems sending coins. maybe a few hours. i have had ONE problem syncing MWC> it got stuck checking for a proof of stake check. i am doing a resync on that right now to double test to see if that was a one time thing or if there is something wrong with my X11 kernel. of cvourse it got stuck 10 blocks before full sync so i wont know until a full resync.

I am still trying to figure out if this is a large whale playing around or the cloudminers from Eobot who are auto-converting their mined btc to grc and pushing the price up. wow great pump, congrats to the 300 sat buyers
I think Gridcoin is finally getting the recognition it deserves. It just touched number 40 in marketcap for the first time and I think it should easily be much higher than that based on what we all know it has to offer. A lot of people want to get a larger holding of GRC and not many people want to part with theirs lol. I know I won't consider selling anything until we have the market depth and liquidity of at least bitshares on Poloniex (700btc daily) which will happen over time. Correct said! There is no whale and neither the guys from Eobot. Buys do look very natural and as I said before the price increase is more than logic according what has achieved. |

Price Is rising constantly and smooth. The 1000 satoshi are passed within a few hours i assume.
People are looking forward for the new feature. Some bigger exchange such as Bter and Crypsy do have an eye on Gridcoin. Let's see how things will develop..

that's a great coin with a great idea and a great and amazing objective.
But also has a problem that never will have a big unit price: coin supply = more than 340 million.
seems like a very unqualified post. The coin supply itself has nothing to do with the Market Cap. And the price percentage increase has nothing to do with the coin supply. |

The price rises. 550 satoshis and more. Nice, but there is more to come. Probably a kickstarter based on Gridcoin will be starting within the next days. More info is coming as soon as it starts. On 1st October the new feature Research Age will be going live if everything runs as planned. I think we are on the right track I'm looking forward for that. What kind of kickstarter is it? I'm curious. regarding the price: this is just a logic result of very hard work, top community engagement, super real word use and was foreseen to be honest. I think Gridcoin can easily be seen as a top 10-15 Coin regarding the coinmarketcap which means a price increase from now 10x - 15x is more than feasible. |
