202  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [coinb.in] Open Source, Multi Signature, HD Wallet and more! on: June 29, 2016, 08:15:08 AM
Is there a testnet version available somewhere ?
This forked version implemented it:

203  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Implement Hayek Concurrent Currencies with Peershares on: June 19, 2016, 04:02:04 AM
Good draft of your ideas.

Maybe this should be moved to:

Bitcoin Forum > Alternate cryptocurrencies > Altcoin Discussion

OR

Bitcoin Forum > Alternate cryptocurrencies > Announcements (Altcoins)

Here goes some more references for terms mentioned above:

Suggestion: beyond NuBit's case, maybe it'd be a good idea to add Tether and BitUSD current situation, vulnerabilities and how HYK would solve them.
204  Other / Meta / Re: Suggestion: Show "Last edit" info beside the original post info. on: May 20, 2016, 03:51:29 AM
IMO only "Original post" and "Last edit" would be enough for public view.

Also, perhaps we should keep a record for all the previous edit histories, so that if someone attempts to cover up evidence, we could just dig up the archive?

Maybe that's too much, isn't it?
205  Economy / Exchanges / Re: bitsquare.io - The P2P Fiat-Bitcoin Exchange on: May 17, 2016, 06:55:49 AM
I couldn't get your point of view. Didn't you like this project and OpenLedger?

What's the matter with them in your opinion?
206  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: brainwallet.io on: May 17, 2016, 06:28:41 AM
Dabs, you're such a lucky guy!  Grin

When I last contacted those guys last year, they were supposed to be so busy that they didn't even bother replying my msg...  Undecided
207  Other / Meta / Re: Suggestion: Show "Last edit" info beside the original post info. on: May 17, 2016, 06:21:29 AM
Lauda,

Thanks for pointing out the new forum. I didn't know about it cause I've been away for a while.

Gonna check it out.

Still my suggestion applies to the new version as well! Wink
208  Other / Meta / Suggestion: Show "Last edit" info beside the original post info. on: May 16, 2016, 12:43:19 PM
On top of each post we have two possible infos: the date from the original post and the date from last edit.

Instead of being hidden "inside" the original post info and only shown when we mouseover the original post info, I suggest both info could be visible side by side like this example:

Original post: November 01, 2015, 02:12:45 PM - Last edit: November 11, 2015, 02:43:34 PM

Some users get confused trying to figure out if post is old or if it's been updated recently...

I guess that would be a very simple change in the code.
209  Economy / Gambling / Re: ★★★ General Bets - Bullet-proof bet advisor | 10.47% avg yield per month | Free! on: May 16, 2016, 12:31:07 PM
Your gambling experiment here seems to be interesting.

Suggestion: update the original (1st) post with some historical data and some graphs and images from your whole betting time.
210  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ANN] METAmarket - Trustless Federated Marketplaces on: May 16, 2016, 12:11:08 PM
This is a good project. Congratulations for the good work!

I'm following it!

Low risk <--> Low return

No exceptions here...
215  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Why you cannot enter an arbitrary seed in Electrum on: April 02, 2016, 03:51:54 AM
You can "input" custom seed to generate a BIP-32 Hierarchical Deterministic Wallet with this tool:

216  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ANN] B&C Exchange - A decentralized exchange paying BTC dividends on: March 29, 2016, 02:24:32 AM
*1 It's sad to see a great and innovative idea being destroyed by the classical and primitive capitalist shareholders model which has shown that is not sustainable in the long term
Edit: *1

What is "long term" in your opinion?

In America and Europe - (Asia too) - we got thousands 'secular corporations' (Coca-Cola comes to my mind right now), mostly still 'alive' today thanks to that "shareholders model" widely adopted since Dutch East India Company (VOC) in the 17th century.

Hint: if you seek some kind of "Virtual neo-USSR" in cryptocurrency community, you're in the wrong place pal!

All I hear is BS... I have no longer interest in this project. You won't get half a dime from me

Maybe that guy wanted to say "All I hear is B(lock)S(hares)"... LOL

There is a s h i t in real world called communism/socialism.

Agreed. Don't forget there's a (less known) crap called Syndicalism.

Thanks MoD and JL, your info gives us a good general POV of B&C.

edit:

@JordanLee

You really do like Delta Airlines, don't ya? Smiley
217  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Augur - a decentralized prediction market platform on: March 20, 2016, 04:05:28 AM
(For the second time) it seems that not enough BTC were allocated to GUI development...
218  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [coinb.in] Open Source, Multi Signature, HD Wallet and more! on: March 16, 2016, 02:28:36 AM
I would love to see message signing and verifying added. Since brainwallet shut down, there really is no good web tool to use
Maybe the tools presented here may be of some use:

219  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Teambrella, the first peer-to-peer insurance service powered by Bitcoin on: March 15, 2016, 06:42:55 AM
After a fast reading of your WP, I think the theory behind the concept is interesting, but...

You talk a lot about servers and possible attacks against servers. So this idea of yours is more like a semi-centralized one, right? Its not fully decentralized P2P.

And BTW, when dealing with Insurance you deal with high risks, how do you intend to face that risks using a volatile cryptocurrency like Bitcoin or any other altcoin?

Wouldn't be better using pegged altcoins like Nubits for a high risk experiment like that?
220  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [LIST] Compilation of Brainwallets & Paper wallet generators. on: March 15, 2016, 04:55:56 AM
UPDATE #1 of year 2016.

Added parameter BIP: innovative extra (advanced) features and Improvement Proposals implemented or supported by generator/app;

Calculation method changed as consequence.

New Tools arrived here:

Cointoolkit: offering brainwallet (and much more) for Bitcoin, Nubits, Nushares, Blockshares, Blockcredits and Peercoin;

Moneroaddress.org: offering paper wallet and brainwallet for Monero;

WARNING section updated: included some IMPORTANT information about change addresses. Avoid losses, must read!

ATTENTION:

EthAddress.org removed its brainwallet feature so it was removed from Brainwallet Ranking list too. If you created an ETH brainwallet using that tool before, I suggest that you use previous version(s) of it to swap coins.

"Refreshed" all scores! Refer to the OP for detailed info.

I'm glad to see the development evolution!

Rock On!
