201  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: New to Trading on: March 17, 2018, 11:39:02 AM
What are the driving factors for crytpocurrency valuation?

Scarcity? Utility? Use? Demand? Network? or am I off base already?

For small cap coins - this is speculation only in 90% of cases. Be prepare for 'miracles' on daily basis.

For Top 10 coins - it's out of our reach. I'm staying away from.
202  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Join price speculation on: March 17, 2018, 10:43:44 AM
How much will zoin be at the end of 2018?

If USA, Japan or EU block or restrict cryptos after the G2- meeting this month, ZOI and other privacy coins will be at new ATH.
Without negative news about total regulations, ZOI will not pass the dollar mark soon.

Saw this article that show how Mt Gox's trustee trades had an impact that moved the market from Dec 2017 till Feb 2018.

Transactions on exchanges:
Sales #1 (2017-12-22) - 6000 BTC
Sales #2 (2018-01-17) - 8000 BTC
Sales #3 (2018-02-07) - 4000 BTC
Sales #4 (2018-02-08) - 4000 BTC
Sales #5 (2018-02-09) - 10000 BTC

66,344 BTC remaining for Kobayashi to liquidate.

Does this mean BTC (and all other crypto) going to drop further?

Source: https://cointelegraph.com/news/effects-of-mt-gox-trustees-400-mln-sale-on-bitcoin-market

I read another article about Kobayashi, saying that he can't dump the rest before the next court case, appointed for sometime during Q4 2018. But I don't think his BTC was the reason for the price dip. Every month are mined more than 10K BTC and in a single day the volume is much higher.
It was the reason. Can you imagine how 35k worth of bitcoin and 35k bitcoin cash got dumped into the exchange instantly? We saw he that, Kobayashi was not interested in use auction service to sell his bitcoin.
It looks like Kobayashi tries to take advantage of the market. Majority of countries are auctioning their bitcoin that being seized by the miners or the thief.

35K BTC are just 280-400M, depend on rates. Bitcoin alone have 10x daily volume.

Yes, they are 280-400M cash flow withdraw, but it can't cause a 50% price drop. Otherwise we could count crypto's as dead if 1% of total cap withdraw can ruin it with 50%.
204  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Trend Panic Sell Mar-Apr 2018 on: March 16, 2018, 11:25:19 AM
I see btc currently trending between 8000-10000. Most of the gurus were unable to predict the value of btc and some of them told it will be similar trend in march and april, even some news i heard that btc will down upto 2000$. I dont know what should i do

I can't agree with them about the 2K bitcoin. But even it fall to 2K, I will just buy more. If you don't need money and you are believing in crypto, then do nothing.

Everything had a major dips. Check the 'secure' gold for example and prices in '00 or <'70.
205  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO regulations and there impact on investors on: March 16, 2018, 11:05:57 AM
Hello guy,

here is an article you might be interested in: https://icoguide.com/en/blog/ico-regulations-icos-and-their-impending-containment

share your opinions on ICO regulations, do you think that ICOs should be more regulated or on the contrary governments should be more liberal?

I'm against those kind of regulations. Regulations mean KYC, collecting more and more personal info, restrictions, etc. This is not crypto.

I like the idea of Wild West + using your common sense to catch scams.

I don't believe in plain words anymore.

OP made a great table with pros of LEGOLAS, but I skip until I see a working fiat transfers with SEPA.
208  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Etherium Classic - Callisto airdop 5th of March 2018 on: March 14, 2018, 08:05:50 PM
I think everyone should just relax and wait for the mainnet to be release.
And if you want to speculate on the future price, because some shady exchange added the coin, well it's at your own risk.

I see no reason to give high hopes on this coin. It seems to me that this project will not be successful. People have already lost interest in the technological side of this project. They are only interested in selling coins.

First POS consensus mechanism even in cold storage....thats reason enough to have high hopes, just because people selling their coins doesnt mean the project won't be successful...

laugh all you want but i really think ETC has a real shot to get listed on coinbase

Isn't DPOS algorithm of coins like ARK allowing it from a long time? When you choose a delegate, you could keep your coins in a cold storage and POS.
But I need to claim few hundred CLO anyway and will test it.
209  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Sinks As Google Moves To Ban All Crypto, ICO Ads In June on: March 14, 2018, 10:19:51 AM
Let's ban it. I've never found any useful ads there anyway. All useful stuff is in the results, not the ads.

Most of Google Ads I've seen about crypto's are phishing sites when you are googling about MEW, Etherdelta, etc.
210  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What are your opinions on the hidden gem divi (divx)? on: March 14, 2018, 10:09:24 AM
I don't find DIVX as a gem at all.

Too many 'gambling' factors like masternodes, lottery and so on. I don't see how this will lead to mainstream adoption which is their goal.
211  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto Trading Giant Binance to Launch Decentralized Exchange and Public Blockch on: March 14, 2018, 09:53:13 AM
Cryptocurrency exchange giant Binance announced Tuesday that it will launch its own “tailored blockchain” in an apparent first step toward building a decentralized exchange (DEX).

The Hong Kong-based company — which regularly ranks as a top-three cryptocurrency exchange as measured by daily trading volume — made the announcement in a blog post, explaining that Binance Chain will “mainly focus on the transfer and trading of blockchain assets, as well as provide new possibilities for the future flow of blockchain assets.”

Yeah, they are following Bitfinex.

Eventually all big exchanges will create their own DEX's in attempt to not lose client base. This is good for us and I want to see it happen ASAP.
212  Economy / Speculation / Re: Literally everyone FUDding Bitcoin just wants to get cheaper on: March 13, 2018, 11:07:33 AM
I'm not from those who are fudding bitcoin, but I frankly I would't mind if the price fall to $3K for some short time.

And yes - it's to buy more. And you can't blame me for that I want more cheap coins like everybody else. Because I'm here for the long game.
213  Economy / Economics / Re: China ends term limits, Xi Jinping to rule China for life? on: March 13, 2018, 11:00:51 AM
I think his game is far away and much bigger than Bitcoin Smiley

But yes, they voted and Xi Jinping could rule for life. Just for the record, the main comity is made of 7 people, but Xi Jinping is the main player.
214  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Bank on: March 13, 2018, 10:53:29 AM
Banks and crypto doesnt have good terms. Thats what most of us think. Would it be better if there would be this kind of “bitcoin bank” where has the same function of bank but all transactions would be based on crypto ? For example
*you can buy or sell cryptocurrency legally ( because central bank approves this if ever)
*you can have this kind of secured crypto savings account who doesnt get hacked
*you can loan crypto for initial capital investment for trading and others
*you can send crypto to someones account limitless without fees.

Is this even possible? What would be the effect if the government impost this?

There are some ways to combine both under one roof - Bitcoin and Banks.

Check my signature and the project - Datarius. Read there WP and you will see that we still need a bank, or kind of.
215  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: will XRP overtake BTC in 10 MONTHS TIME ? on: March 12, 2018, 08:51:15 AM
Nope because the Ripple pump to 120B cap was totally directed and artificial, to collect the money of naive people.

The community would never accept something like Ripple to be N1. It's not even a crypto currency in the normal way.
216  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Did ETH changed crypto world? on: March 12, 2018, 08:26:27 AM
Yes, ETH was definitely a game changer.

ERC20 smart contracts opened the world of crypto to many many projects and ideas.
There was a crowdfunding for crypto projects and before ETH, but it was a complete mess in the Economy > Marketplace > Securities section. Now everything is much more easy.
217  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: TRIF airdrop to Neblio holders on: March 10, 2018, 12:21:42 PM
ANN TRIF

Thanks for the info! I have few hundred NEBL on Kucoin and seem I will need to transfer it to a separate wallet for the airdrop.
218  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Vegancoin: Vegans Now Have Their Own 'Cruelty-Free' Cryptocurrency. on: March 10, 2018, 11:58:13 AM

WTF >> 'Cruelty-Free' Cryptocurrency ?!?!

Very very cheap attempt to make money over somebody's food preferences.

People, be aware that this sounds like a scam and cheap attempt for being used. Skip it and choose some real project.

BTW I'm vegetarian... but this 'Cruelty-Free' Cryptocurrency sounds too stupid.
219  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How much is your altcoin down since January? on: March 09, 2018, 11:48:31 AM
Let's help the new buyers choosing in what to buy. Here're mine two which are down like 900%:

1. ITC: $9.15 ATH in January and currently $0.92.

2. SelfKey: $0.08 ATH in January and currently $0.01.

That's unlucky. I have a lot like PRL, DGRN, HPB, HAT, etc... Like almost my entire portfolio, but I'm hoping for a recovering in few months.

Did you meant 90% down Cheesy It's can't be > 100%. 0 value would mean 100%.
220  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Holding is bullshit? on: March 09, 2018, 11:41:06 AM
I hold 3 coins espers-(3 years),insane-(2 years),html - (5 years) Shocked and price is the same....no moon ....I dont trust to holding anymore,any suggestions?

But holding is not for price to skyrocket. It's when you believe in the projects.
And nothing is stopping you to trade the coins you are holding and make a profit meanwhile.
