is 2FA not working.  new subscriber, verified email, setup 2FA via google authenticate.  Login, click to setup, generate barcode, scan, try to enter 6 digit code, click test, it fails ever time.  And yes I already sync'd my clock (it wasn't off)

??
202  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: EWBF's CUDA Zcash miner on: January 14, 2018, 12:36:26 AM

what evidence do you have that it doesn't work under windows?

try it out yourself if you don't believe me, others have pointed this out as well but youd know that if you scrolled through this thread

I don't need to try. I use it (been using for quite a while).

If you use the --fee 0 option in windows, it will *STILL* mine a fee for the developer.  Just watch the output or save it to a look as you will see a random

INFO 19:31:47: GPU0 Accepted share 49ms [A:156, R:1]

But it will say Accepted for Developer (or something similar).  I saw one yesterday, but couldn't find one in my history for a couple of hours.

But yes, at least on Window, with 0.3.4b, it still mines for the developer when you do a --fee 0

So if I get a miner into the cart, what about the controller thing? I am afraid of losing the 821, so I feel like checking out asap. What's the best strategy? Thanks and good luck to everyone!
Controllers are easy, it's just a Raspberry Pi3 and the image to burn on the disk is online from Canaan

wow, how annoying... 1 available, put it in your cart and have 5 mins just to be told that you can't buy it because there aren't any?  WTF?

And there you go... a little short of 20%, but close enough as it does vary.

Wow, I pity the folks in EU that have to buy one as a result... at least at exchange rates with the USD that would be both arms and legs.

They said that would be removed after it's all said and done.  That's what I was told.

Did they say what % of VAT would be deducted? 20% would make a pretty big difference.

Not sure what other people are seeing as the EU price, but today I see $3166.67 EU (this does differ from the original 3346 that I had first seen).  They *say* thats because of my IP address, its determined that I'm already in the US so that price already had VAT taken off of it.  I went to the site logged in under a user account and without and it shows me the same price (which btw, is the $4100 US price).

I'd be really curious what those in the EU see as the price.  When I brought up the fact that I wasn't seeing VAT removed, they told me that it already had been.  If you know what the EU is seeing for pricing vs. the US price (above), you'll know what the VAT reduction is.  Typically it's 20%... (But not in all cases).

Too rich for me at that price... had 20% been taken off that and then promoted to USD, that would have been more reasonable, but it appears the US price (after VAT removal) is $4100.

So, what do people in the EU see for a price?

curious minds want to know...

So, I'm completely confused.  I heard from the Crypto guys yesterday, they *claim* that the VAT is subtracted from a US sale.  But it doesn't seem to be that way.  There are 821's there, and if you go through the process, it will try to bill you $4100 US.   However typically VAT is 20% so take 3347 minus 20% and convert that to USD and it should say that someone in the US can buy them for ~3000.00 USD.  But that's aint working.  Did anyone in the US buy an 821?  If so, was the VAT removed?  And what was the net price?

Curious minds want to know.

I was just looking at their webpage where it says "payment".  About halfway down on the right side of the page.

I would bet that they are doing an update on their webpage, and the other forms of payments should come back up?  Steam may be right in that they want to save a few bucks on the transaction fees from PP/CC.

Hey, that could be good for us as they are trying to lower the listed price as much as possible???

Ah, yeah, I see that too... But if you actually go to Checkout with something in the cart, those no longer show.  Well we'll see soon enough I suppose.

Thanks for the pointout.

I am still seeing PayPal, and Stripe as forms of payments on their website.

What did you put in the cart?  I added one of the only things I could find in stock, the controller for the Avalons and I only see BTC and wire.

Did this just change recently or did I just miss it before?  Looks like the only forms of payment on their site as of now is either BTC or wire transfer - doesn't matter if you are in the US or not.

Im also using us.east and my miners have been up and down even now.

Thanks.  Anyone else seeing this?  Three pretty major drops in hash rate and more variability than normal.

At one point cgminer even switched over to an alternate address....

New miner here, but I also noticed a somewhat dramatic drop in rate, even tho my miner says otherwise.  Happened most pointedly this morning (us time) around 17:00z and after.  Still isn't what I would consider normal.  And I'm also on the us.xxx stratum.

In parallel my ZEC miner shows a similar drop during a similar time just as an additional datapoint (both are using slush)
