I seriously think pos, and posv3 in particular, is the best thing to happen for TROLL thus far. Such a great way to support the blockchain. I couldn't mine TRL v1, but now I leave my wallet unlocked for staking 24/7

Poloniex or Bittrex would be nice. Only thing I do not like about Bittrex is how quickly they drop coins if the trading volume slows for any length of time.
Ya I would put my vote out there for Poloniex before Bittrex and not because I don't like Bittrex I do love that exchange but like Hilux said they tend to delist coins pretty quickly if the trading volume doesn't stay up there. My thoughts as wellm

Is there a conclusion we should make form that Cryptsy mess?
Everyone decided to change the subject and/or leave the room just as it seemed we were about to hit paydirt. Then again.. who knows as the layers of deciet seemingly have no end. Despite this being a very interesting subject, especially considering the current state of Cryptsy, are there any implications for the HBN user? I have only followed the "investment journal" so far, that ended up with tokyoghetto getting involved in promotion of some scam? Was it HYPER or something? And then he disappeared, just like the said hobo seemingly disappeared. I have no doubt these people have endless identities (sometimes I feel there are like 10 users on this site altogether), but I doubt they stay with the cow if some milking has been done, so we should be clear I'd say. HYPER wasn't a scam, it's still around with a lot of support.

Do you beg like Horus aka. jdtmp4 "the crypto hobo" (who btw this coin was themed after), because you are one of his socks ?
Hippie Tech. I've seen your negative FUD posts elsewhere, as well as here. What a stupid cunt you are!!! Anyone looking at your trust rating here might ask why you bother, you worthless waste of space https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=31553 You can't even communicate in plain English. Are you trying to say that Tranz is Horus, is "the crypto hobo"? If you are, so fucking what! Are you saying that HoboNickels is backed by Cryptsy's knowledge and expertise? If you are, then that will make me buy it all the more. Cryptsy isn't exactly my favourite of the month. Far from it. But c'mon. Explain yourself. You've intrigued me with your hidden, hysterical, history. Tell us all about Tranz, Horus and Cryptsy. Enlighten us. I suspect that you have nothing relevant to say. It's not enough to reference John Pilger in your arse-end. C'mon. Give us the benefit of your extensive knowledge, you horrible piece of shit. This was a dead issue until you fed the troll

If the real Satoshi wanted to go public, he would have no trouble providing solid proof. He also would have no reason to make passive aggressive comments and innuendo. This whole thing reaks of a sham.

Inb4 Satoshi says "I am not Dr. Craig Steven Wright."
Wright brought this upon himself. I don't expect anything from Satoshi about this. Good point.

On a serious note tho, I think TROLL has fared OK in these first few days, considering there are hundreds of millions of trolls swapped from the old chain. Naturally people are going to dump some. Esp those who mined early & forgot about it. Can't wait for Dec 31 when we take down old Troll & move on. Better to hold on to my Trolls2.0 right ? i dont get it why people sell for so low People sell low because they dont believe in TROLL, and they acquired it for less than they are dumping it for. its almost worth nothing , look what is happening @ bleutrade If you ever expected to make money off of trollcoin, you got trolled

I am ok with whatever the community decides. We can still raise money to go to either of these. If you donate and have a preference just post it or PM it to me.
Thanks!
Just sent 0,1btc to 1GMH9jMKfrDx5ZurAwPqp7gwAerGKiPtFs I am in favor of getting HBN on Presstabs explorer and extending CAP there as well In case you are not a sock or shill... Horus the cryptsy admin/ hobo is not who you think he is. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1173703.0What does this have to do with the HBN explorer?

My vote goes to PressTab as well. I believe I sent roughly 0.0305.

Just looks like a mass exodus for DGB at this moment in time something has gone very wrong...sell orders are staking up on Poloniex & its only set to get worse...shorter block times & half rewards may not be the best way forward at this time well at least a lot of so called investors seem to think so...lets hope the NEW gift for DGB is going to be something worth singing about this Sunday
No, this is the typical altcoin market scene, and trader panic. This shit is so predictable.

Block reward halved or what? Used to be 2157 DGB / block, now 1078 DGB / block. v4.0.0.0
Let's do the math.... 21 Billion DGB in 21 years with 30 second blocks. 15 second blocks means double the amount of coins coming in to circulation unless there is not a %50 reduction. (Release notes) V4.0 chain is fine. It appears there are a handful of services who did not upgrade. Let's give everyone a few hours to figure it out. All is well, cheers everyone. How about considering a 50% reduction? This would lead to alot more investors and greater value to those who have already invested. Also it would allow the value to be higher on your end rather then going down hill, could you please consider this? I believe they made a change to keep the 21b in 20. Don't know it offhand though, sorry.

miners-pool.eu is finding nothing but orphans on qubit, nobody is mining skein or groestl on there.
Most of blocks found are rejected by the network later... I used 3 different wallets location, all of them on a powerful server with good Internet connection. Now this coin is too fast. Only the most powerful pool can find blocks. Jared I'm not sure than reducing the block target to 15s was a good idea. I got the same problem: wallet v.4.0, scrypt algo, pool reports 300 found blocks, but actually I receive only 30 of them. 90% was rejected on the network. Looks weird. Dev D6Mjh5H7WjPVAg1626Apgk8ELmzhagXZDr here is my address, you can check it. There is some thing wrong with wallet, for example, sharkcoin got 20 second block target, and I got only 5% orphans on it. And again, the block target is >1 minute on each algo, so it doesn't matter. Or maybe you implement the same feature, as digital coin does: • Algorithm Control - If the last three blocks were discovered by the same algorithm, the fourth block will be rejected until its found by one of the other two algorithms. This prevents directed attacks on the network from any single algorithm. Or the goldcoin-like shield: only 6 blocks per 5 minutes(or something loke that), the rest will be orphaned anyway by the wallet? That will explain everything. It appears there is a fair amount of mining still occurring on the v3.0 wallets. We are working on an update to auto disconnect these peers. This should help with the orphan rate dramatically. In the mean time transactions are still getting processed normally. Here is the patch (not official) to refuse old peer versions : https://github.com/Metice/digibyte/commit/fb7ad7dfdf045157573204259665d69eb76c8c20Congrats; if I ever start mining again, I know which pool I will choose.

I can zip up a bootstrap. Both blocks & chainstate folders, or just blocks?

Now the staking is working pretty darn good! Although at the current price of troll I'm pretty sure the electricity cost of leaving this up for an entire year outweighs the earnings xD
Also, what does weight & network weight mean.... If I have half the network weight, does that mean half the coins staking atm are mine?
IF you leave your computer on 24/7 as it is, what's the difference? Negligible, v2.0 isn't going to eat much resources. Thought so.

If you like the frosted side of your mini-wheat cereal then combining your HBN into larger chunks also helps keep the staking difficulty lower and thus reward% higher. 4000-6000HBN blocks are a nice target size.
If you like the whole wheat side of your mini-wheat cereal then let the wallet split/combine your blocks, which tends to drive up difficulty (better security) and lower reward (less inflation).
I thought the max stake reward was 250, which would be too small for 6k blocks. Not according to math... 100% annual reward max/(365day yr-/10 days stake) = max 2.74%/stake round. 6000HBN * 0.0274 = 164.4HBN Annual reward rate has been nowhere near 100% for months, typically 80%ish range lately so actual values will be lower. I recently had a 6789.44HBN block stake 169.87. In the OP it says 250, I didn't realize there are additional circumstances. Thanks for the info

Ah, I guess that means it goes up the longer I hold it.... idk how this works, I'll read the paper. Edit: Read it. Dont get it. Im dumb No, you are just normal. I don't understand the intricacies of it all, but think of it as virtual mining The amount of coins you have in your wallet is like how powerful your asic is The amount of time you spend staking (keeping your wallet online & unlocked) is the same as how much time you spent mining with an asic The total amount of coins in people's wallets that are simultaneously staking is equal to the network hash rate when mining. So when you "solve a block" with staking, you get 7 trolls The static reward is kind of confusing. I feel like I should create as many UTXO's as possible to maximize returns, but PoSv3 and SLievensDRKSLK imply otherwise, but I still don't quite understand how/why.
|
|
|
How does the static reward work? I get 7 Troll per...what exactly...wallet address?
Spencer explained it to me, but it all went in one ear out the other, he will let you know once he wakes up. As I understand it, your trolls randomly hatch little troll babies when you keep your wallet hot. Heat is important, they don't hatch when cold. Any update on this?
