541  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Androids Tokens v2.0 [Proof of Stake] [very low inflation] on: May 08, 2014, 11:53:56 PM
Yes they would. The number of coins produced imo has little affect on anything. a coin with little to no use, means that its worth nothing

i have to go with what the holders of ADT want / the people that have voted

i am 100% sure that having some crazy amount of stake would get people interested short term but long term it would just inflate ADT until its worth nothing !

if the majority of ADT holders want some crazy amount of stake i will go with it but until that point i am going with what the users want and that is around 5% a year

hate to break it to you, but 5% a year is shit. ADT is not a government bond, or a REIT. Its not a fiat currency. Its magical internet money. I won't risk holding ADT for 5% a year, when it can drop 50% in a day. I really wish you heeded my advice when I suggested a higher interest.

The network doesn't stay at high interest forever, it adjust the interest rate to stay inline with the amount of coins that need to be minted. If you are worried about ADT being worth nothing in the future, mate you should be worried about it not being worth much now.

Look at TEKcoin. 40% interest per MONTH. People have wet dreams about being able to buy even 1000 TEK. I can put a 10000 TEK sell wall and the market will eat that block of coins up like a fat kid on a birthday cake.

Once I knew you wouldn't budge, I dumped all my ADT at 50 latoshi. Only business nothing personal.

Very good argument here.

All I ask that if you do raise the interest rate, to send me a PM before you go public so I can back up the truck, its the least you can do for help all the ADT bagholders become rich.

tokyoghetto.

lmao, I love this guy.

Why not just keep the name satoshis for the smallest unit of DGC for the moment and that's it. Pretty much a non-issue in my view. I never liked that entire naming units game for BTC because it just makes things more complicated. Satoshis work well up to the hundreds of thousands of satoshis, and then all that is left is 0.01 BTC (DGC) and 0.1 BTC (DGC).

4.5 per year
fix blocks being generated not connected to the network
(add checkpointing? Though, I thought it already had it.)
phase out PoW
done.

I've been told that the HBN wallet is very memory hard because of the short staking period. I think you need to look at the longer term picture than just how inflation would come into play.

I suggested 15 days, and it's already 15 days.  Seems fine so far.
548  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HBN Investment Journal - 2% returns every ten days - 80,000+ HBN Porfolio on: April 29, 2014, 04:59:19 PM
Guys I wouldn't be too eager to mess with success. Adding more exchanges historically has hurt many coins' prices. HBN is on one decent exchange with good volume, we don't need mintpal.

Although I would love for HBN to be on mintpal, HBN is doing fine on cryptsy alone.
549  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Androids Tokens v2.0 [Proof of Stake] [very low inflation] on: April 29, 2014, 04:55:05 PM

it is every 15 days lol what would you count as good POW parameters ? I would like to stay away from POW as much as possible as that opens up another huge list of things that can cause issues

my adt wallet stakes all day as I have so many tx  ( each tx will stake separately

Why not increase it permanently but only 2x? Surely that would keep lots of peeps happy??

I have been considering that Smiley

I didn't know it was 15 days currently.  I think the most important thing for ADT is incentive to keep coins in your wallet (off the exchange) and have the wallet open.  Increasing the stake % will help achieve this. I'd say at least 3% per year.  HBN has 2% every ten days and the price has been steadily increasing since January. We shouldn't copy HBN, but I want to show an increased stake % will be great for ADT.  I don't know what the sweet spot for ADT will be.  There are a lot of variables to think about. Maybe .8%-1% every 15 days?  Just throwing some numbers out there.
550  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HBN Investment Journal - 2% returns every ten days - 80,000+ HBN Porfolio on: April 29, 2014, 02:58:47 PM
HBN is a perfect example of slow and steady growth, free from pump and dump nonsense. The dev is great, and instead of focusing on stupid crap like getting voted onto 500 exchanges, making trivial sites, and harassing merchants to accept the coin, they have just focused on developing the coin and making a great wallet that works well.

Now if only the other altcoins would take notice and stop all the nonsense...

There's few out there focus on developing services and infrastructure before marketing.  I'm in for the ride.
551  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HBN Investment Journal - 2% returns every ten days - 80,000+ HBN Porfolio on: April 29, 2014, 02:56:43 PM
I really wish i had more HBN... I've been buying all the way up and just dont have anything left to buy them with. Sad

I know, I've scraping up every spare BTC to buy HBN.
552  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Androids Tokens v2.0 [Proof of Stake] [very low inflation] on: April 29, 2014, 02:17:18 PM
how do all you guys feel about making the stake 4 X as much for the first 16 days after its fixed to compensate you guys that would mean if you have you coins off cryptsy you could get 2 lots of stake and get 1 lot of stake if you take your coins off cryptsy the first day its fixed

I would like to know if everyone is happy with the % that stake gives right now ( 1.2% a year )

there is also a demand to make POW worth mining again I don't think that's the best idea as there will be lots of scrypt asic soon but I am willing to do it if there is a good reason for doing so other than people making extra money

I don't think changing the stake 4x for 16days is worth the potential bugs that can occur.  I don't think 1.2% is enough for people to keep their wallets open (and their coins off exchanges) and I think it needs to be increased.  It would also be more appealing if the stake happened more than once a month (maybe .x% every 15 days for xx% per year in total.)  For example, I get stakes throughout the whole day on my HBN wallet so it makes you feel like your investment is paying off. Would staking more than once per month lead to more smooth and consistent block generation? I do think POW is worth looking into and if people want to run scrypt asic on ADT then great because it will help secure the network from attacks.  I don't know if pure POS is safer than hybrid, I don't have enough technical knowledge.
553  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HBN Investment Journal - 2% returns every ten days - 80,000+ HBN Porfolio on: April 29, 2014, 02:03:51 PM
omfg the 50K

can t believe it, i m so glad i bought at the bottom weeks ago.
honestly i will just keep staking and not trade a single hbn, once i reach 10 000 hbn i ll consider trading a bit
(right i ve got so few hbn i don t want to loose them)

Nope the bottom was when I bought in near 1000 sats.

Best investment ever.  How many did you manage to pick up?
554  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Androids Tokens v2.0 [Proof of Stake] [very low inflation] on: April 27, 2014, 09:35:15 PM
looks like mullick has gone a wall again and ahmed is not interested in fixing issues without being paid ( not risking it there as i already paid him 5btc for this blockchain )

I am now taking to more coders again but this is getting stupid I have spent over 5btc on just the ADT2 blockchain and its still not 100% Sad

I don't understand how all these clone coins that pop up have next to 0 issues when they cost less than 0.25btc to have made

we need more people to be on the dev team as all the work is a huge amount for 1 person !

i want to get this coin going well but its just impossible with all the issues that keep popping up

the blockchain should have been a direct clone of the latest CGB code and just had the basics changed i even had mullick look over it and yet the chain is still having issues Sad

right now its cost me over 10k usd ( 1000ltc approx. ) and i hold 2.4 bill ADT so i have lost a huge amount by sticking with ADT

I am not abandoning ADT and i am not giving up but it would be good to have more support from all ADT users Smiley

If I were a programmer, I'd do it for you, but I'm not, so I can't. :\

Wrong, my only motivation is to show that there was no "mystery employee" and that Baritus lied to everyone. If I post the addresses and show that Baritus did indeed move the coins he can always deny those are the stolen addresses unless he publicly post them first. Like a dummy he used an address he has used many times before.

One of several things Baritus doesn't want you guys to know and that is clearly tied to the wallets he claimed were stolen is that he has been manipulating the DGC market since it began. What it shows is that Baritus has been playing you guys for profit from the beginning and that's what he is avoiding being exposed. Digitalcoin will not recover from this, as I am a slight bit persistent to say the least. Set all the CP's you want, I can rinse and repeat this at will. Of note when the first exchange is Double Spent with about 50,000 DGC no one will ever trust it again.

I can appreciate your wanting to expose someone who lies and manipulates supporters, if that's really what baritus has done. Likewise it would be admirable if you genuinely care that people may have been taken advantage of, but is manipulating this coin severely and hurting all these same people even worse the best way to prove your point?

I for one am very new to crypto currency, and I dumped a few thousand dollars into different ones. BTC and DGC being the ones I have the most into. If I had done more research and seen all the controversy earlier I may not have gone so deep with DGC, but it is what it is and now I have little choice but to hold and hope my investment doesn't get wiped out completely.

It's little guys like me that will be hurt most if you really do kill this coin. Don't know if it matters, just giving my 2 cents, which it seems like is more than my DGC holdings will be worth in the near future.

TT

All you have to do is look at posts like these and then you will see that BCX is doing this for profit.  He attacked litecoin back in the day as well to buy low and profit.  He obviously has the resources to carry out targeted FUD, and probably can manipulate almost anyone into doing what he wants through bribes, threatening/carrying out network/personal attacks, and anything else you can think of.

$10.00 doesn't look bad to me.

$10.00 looks bad to noobs and amateurs lacking faith, vision and balls.

BCX, such a scary guy.

If you've got your money in a coin he's gonna attack you better be scared.

I bought 4 BTC worth of GameCoin and didn't know he was attacking it and I lost 3 of those.

That hurt.

I only had 10,000 Digi coins and I sold them for a slight loss when I heard BCX was on the prowl. lol.

But seriously guys, if Baritus has nothing to hide then why not just post the wallets?

Cause if he doesn't, you can bet BCX will reduce DigitalCoin to ruble.

And this was part of my warning last year [to everyone, not just DGC] if you're not in a coin with an Ultra Secure network, anyone can come around and totally destroy it and make you lose everything.

All the community POW WOWs and Features in the world become worthless if security isn't up to par.  I was called crazy [last year] for calling features worthless but now look, DGC is looking at death within 2 weeks and even if it escapes this time, there will certainly be a next time.

I personally love the Digital namebrand and its large, active community so I will definitely buy some Digi if it gets driven into the ground [head first] the way I'm certain it will.

Then of course, there's a much bigger issue.

What if BCX is right? A fraudulent coin I would not buy, no matter how cheap it gets.

Good luck guys!

I know his game, and I won't play into it.  He, won't get my coins dirt cheap, nobody will.
557  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: DigitalCoin.Co | Secure. Established. Active Development | V2.0 Core Announced on: April 26, 2014, 06:11:34 AM
My prediction.  BCX crashes the DGC market worse than the stolen coin dump.  BCX then buy hundreds of thousands of DGC dirt cheap.  The buzz from the attack/crash eventually brings DGC to record highs and BCX is a DGC millionaire.  Good work BCX

The coins were not stolen, Baritus moved those coins and I can 100% rock solid prove it. He wasn't smart about the way and where he moved them to at all. I want Baritus to post the address for one reason only, to publicly tie him to the addresses so he cannot deny they are the addresses of the stolen wallet. There is absolutely no legitimate reason he will not post the public addresses.

CryptoAve still on track for approx May 1st to be back online according to Baritus.

http://digitalcoin.co/forums/index.php/topic,976.msg7170.html#msg7170

I thought Baritus claimed the problem with the exchange was due to Heartbleed.  If so a simple update and a recommendation to refresh user passwords should have been all that was needed.  Most affected websites around the planet were patched and fixed within a few hours why is it a month+ for CryptoAve?  Other issues?  New features?

I believe he had already started reprogramming in c++ before it was discovered heartbleed was the issue.
