really amazing talk here, keep up the good work radon team.
this coin still flying under the radar and thats perfect to try to get some more:)
totally! im excited to see more people try out the client and see what it can do..also knowing where it can go from here is exciting..lots of really neat applications could spring up using this tech.. definitely agreed. Wayyyyyyyyyy undervalued. Dev can the software/blockchain integrates a payment gateway (similar to paypal) from a CMS platform so user can use RADS as default currency on an ecommerce site? Would you be able to clarify your question? What use case are you looking for? A default RADS payment gateway that will enable merchants to integrate into eg. Joomla and/or eCommerce based website (Fiat to RADS to Fiat or Paypal=>Fiate=RADS and vice versa) instead of using Bitcoin. This will enable RADS to do what mob at HIRE are doing. The Smartchain will value-added to the process once a platform is integrated.. For example a woocomerce plugin for RADS? yes. wordpress and/or Joomla.. the more the merrier. I can see alot of users/investors jumping onboard if RADS provide pratical use for them. You will need to provide an interface for merchants to choose what exchanges they would like to base their conversion (Fiat=RADS=Fiat) from (e.g. c-cex, bittrex - ofcouse this will mean getting onto bittrex..) and buyers to choose what type of coins they would like to spend (e.g. Bitcoin=RADS etc..). That's definitely doable. For now, we do have a wordpress plugin that enables us to accept RADS for an ecommerce store. Once the website is live, we will have some items for sale, available for purchase with RADS.

I want to emphasize on the price growth potential of this coin.
Radium can be directly related to 2 other cryptocurrencies that offer decentralized blockchain-based services: Factom and EmerCoin.
Here are the marketcaps: Factom - $8.9M USD EmerCoin - $4.4M USD Radium - $0.03M USD
When Phase 2 comes (which should extremely soon), Radium will offer all the base features of Factom.
Radium is sitting on a $30,000 USD marketcap as of now. The reason for this? The lack of exposure. The number of people that are consciously aware of Radium's existence is only in the dozens. The small audience behind Radium can only prop up the marketcap at such a certain level. Once Radium hits exchanges such as Bittrex and Poloniex, the exposure levels will multiply- and the price will react accordingly.
Radium is one of the biggest sleepers I have encountered, and it is with luck I saw it while browsing this altcoin announcement section.
i know that too but why the 180k dump this was a nearly dead coin then this happened. its not unseen in crypto around 20% of total supply is on c-cex and 80% of the supply is staking while so called "dumps" take place top wallets on ccex only gained ...IMO its just market manipulations make people sell in panic Probably Yes, but investing now is not a good idea anyways, because the stake is what attracts people into coins and right now it is going down to 10% of its original value.I think its good to grab some when it will be stable around 1% and there will be more cheap coins available in the market. One thing that I feel needs to be explained more, and will be pinned to the OP once it is in full effect: The block rewards will not be this low forever. One crucial part to the SmartChain is the concept that Radium decay rewards stakers for their work in storing the blockchain and processing transactions. Once enough users are using Radium decay on a regular basis, the block rewards will be closer to the original levels on average. Keep in mind, even at 1 coin per block as a base rate, we are still at approximately 17% interest. There are not many practical coins with that high of interest remaining.

SmartChain Phase 2 is in Private Beta, among some slack members. New Features include: - Immortalizing text notes in the blockchain
- Immortalizing file hashes in the blockchain
- Verifying a file against a hash previously Immortalized in the blockchain
- Client update alerts read from the blockchain
- Multi-threaded sync engine and Multi-threaded transaction processing engine that doubles sync speed
- Various GUI improvements and fixes
JJ12880 I can verify that these features are working. Still some minor bug fixing to do, but phase 2 is looking better every day.

what's wrong with this coin? drop into 300 satoshi ? -_-
Nothing is wrong with the coin, the markets do what they will.

i think i came very late now already current block is 340841 so no 5 coins reward for staking
now i think is 0.5 reward right ?
4 coins now now no pow ? what the minimum amount coins in wallet to get 4 coins rewards ? At the current network difficulty, every 2,500 coins will get you a block in about 8 hours.

Progress Incoming! File Hash Verification Some decent progress on phase 2.

Is that the printout of getinfo while the wallet is syncing? That is not the correct data for the current network. I am working to resolve that now.

My sync is taking literally forever. Like a 1000 blocks every 24 hours... Any ideas 23 active connections and I have a fast ISP. My computer is a fairly slow laptop, bottleneck? Use the bootstrap link in the OP, and yes, the speed of your laptop is most likely a bottleneck. I recommend restarting your laptop, then trying again with the bootstrap. Yep that does the trick. Perhaps its time for the crypto-community to start contemplating whether or not we should standardize this method. Shouldn't be impossible automate this process in the install. Good thing also that the PoS coins have a much smaller blockchain size. For example: Peercoin 0.51GB, launched 2012 - Dogecoin 15GB launched 2014. Thats some serious technological advantage. This should be commonplace, and it should not be incredibly hard to automate. The only issue comes when centralization interferes with the blockchain. At what point does it simply become a distributed database? As to your point about the difference in bloat between PoW and PoS chains: PoS chains do offer limited advantage, but I think the main factor attributing to the larger chain of Doge is the much greater number of blocks and transaction volume.

is there a recommended block size to stake?
The coins split automatically. Splitting won't yield any more or any less coins.

Reminder: The hard fork is being enacted in less than 300 blocks. Please make sure you are running the correct client version. Yobit has still not updated their client or ticker information, so trade with caution. If they fail to update their client by block 338000, remove any buy orders you may have on their exchange. By keeping your buy orders in place after that point, you run the risk of being sold coins on a worthless fork.
As always, act in best personal judgement.

Dev,you have bootstrap?
just talked to dev on slack and he said he would host a bootstrap when he gets home Here you go. I am getting permission denied. Sorry about that, the server thinks you're trying to access a plain data folder. Uploading the fixed version now. Fixed link
