201  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: YoBit.Net - CRYPTOCURRENCY EXCHANGE & MultiCoin DICE - Free Coins every 1-24 hrs on: August 21, 2016, 11:13:08 AM
Anyone else having trouble logging in to YoBit? Haven't been able to log in in the last hour or so.

I must say their requirement of getting a confirmation code by email every time you log in with a new IP sucks big time for those on dynamic IPs. Other exchanges like Polo or Trex only send notification messages kinda "Successful Login from New IP".
202  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Exclusive Coin - Cryptsy/Bittrex, CAT bot, Loads of News! on: August 21, 2016, 10:58:47 AM
Gee, who cares to 51% attack this shitcoin now? It has no value outside of Bittrex. If they notice anything suspicious like a long reorg with large deposits coming, they will shut it down pending investigation.

I don't care if Priceslide or the dev or whoever gets a major share as long they play by the rules. When these rules get changed in favor of someone, it's a scam.

What you say about Cryptsy coins sounds like "they stole from ppl, the dev stole from them, ppl should be happy". That's utter bullshit. One theft doesn't justify another.
203  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][EXCHANGE] safecex.com - yet another anonymous cryptocoin exchange on: August 21, 2016, 10:44:15 AM
Not follow? Crypto exchanges get hacked or "hacked" or just disappear without notice, like this one, here and there. That's the whole point of this business.
204  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: LBRY.IO CPU/GPU MINING POOLS AVAILABLE (DISCUSSION THREAD) on: August 21, 2016, 10:37:56 AM
Excuse me if this has been asked before, but how much hashrate do the 390s pull at lbry?
For me it's 163 Mh/s.

Private Kernal?

I think the opensource only does around 90MHASH on the 390.

http://cryptomining-blog.com/8075-cpu-and-amd-gpu-mining-for-lbry-credits-lbc-now-available/
Yes,Wolf miner. Luckily we have Wolf.

Private kernels suck. They push small time miners out. Those with big farms can afford to buy a custom kernel and make real profits with it. The others see this unfair shit happening and go away. Coin gets dumped every day by big farm ops. Very nice, huh?
205  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: August 21, 2016, 10:06:05 AM
No windows 8 was a disgusting hard fork from windows 7!

And Windows 7 was a shitty hard fork of Vista which was a piece of junk Microsoft marketed without much success. People were fine with Windows XP even without DX10 and what else, but Microsoft stopped selling it and cut off the support, then vendors stopped to release drivers for new hardware. Also PCs with 4Gb+ of RAM became a norm and XP couldn't do it. Most ppl don't even know that 64-bit XP exists.
206  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: August 21, 2016, 09:59:31 AM
I did, Windows 8 was trash

My nephew, 12 years old, got a Windows 8 laptop some months back - he didn't do any packs (hard forks) or updates (soft forks).

Now, his laptop is unusable - I'm having to wipe it and reinstall OS.

That, is my point!

If he fucked up his laptop in one of many possible ways, so what? I got an old Windows 7 laptop out of storage to give it away recently. It was there for 6 years, so it's missing a shitload of updates. Yet it boots up, its activation is valid and all the crap there works just fine.
207  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Exclusive Coin - Cryptsy/Bittrex, CAT bot, Loads of News! on: August 21, 2016, 09:47:07 AM
Priceslide... I see what you are saying about the 36Mil vs 14Mil. That is more than double and was the figure used to replace the new coin at, but it may become more obvious why it is about half. There may be some weight to your grievance on this count, but it also goes back to what I stated earlier. The Dev has to recoup funds and also needs to hold 51% of the coin. So there is an extra 22.2% overage according to your numbers. I had stated 23% earlier.

WTF is about the dev needing to hold 51% of the coin? Just because he is a so cool dude? There are many devs out there who are fine with much smaller coin shares. It's also obvious the dev fucking stole Cryptsy coins which are in a receivership now. They could be given back to their lawful owners when the court process is over. Now they get nothing. All this shit is a blatant theft to make the dev rich.

guys, why the price dump so heavy?

Not heavy actually. The price is going back to where it was prior to the last small pump. Anyway, buy low, sell high, have fun.

I think DGB should partner with MYR coin...would be awesome

Do you think these coins have anything to share apart of the multialgo thing? Oh yeah, MYR also went merged on two algos and replaced Qubit with Yescrypt recently. Nice to see some development going there anyway.

Do you really think anyone gonna pump BBR just for fun without any news coming? Even the dev logged in last time 4 months ago.

211  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ETC] Ethereum Classic: Immutable Smart Contracts on: August 18, 2016, 06:12:36 PM
if you want to invest in smart contact tech look at Bitbay! Its the only TRUE decentralised marketplace and yet because all  their money it spent in development work it hasnt been marketed at all (hence the lowish price) Its also developing the first rolling peg system similar to what banks use  and will revolutionise cryto

Bitbay, huh? That failed pump project of Bobsurplus and Prometheus? Zimbeck fucked up big time with it in 2014. I wondered if this shit is still alive, but methinks Bob wants it for another ride. Any suckers to follow him this time?

Eth has no trust left

Well, thats not correct.

ETH devs arent trolling like a 12 year old.

Sadly.. ETC is run by kids, thats why its not getting any traction.

Better trolling than cheating and stealing. ETH is almost a private block chain now. It's run by VCs who make decisions to maximize their profit and Vitalik is a talking head for them. I'm sure it helps to get much traction.

What does it matter what ETH does? You know what would have been real good? If ETC was a serious project from the start.
Im sure we would see the price of ETC atleast twice what it is today.

Instead ANY investors or ppl with money looking into this thread will turn straight back out again with "no way im gonna invest in that chaotic kindergarden".

What does it make a serious project? A bunch of VCs with their money? A bunch of coders working for their pay? A lot of people shilling around on how great this project gonna be? Even Bitcoin didn't look like a real deal in the first years.

They registered the "Ehereum" trademark, but failed to register the visual logo. It doesn't seem unique enough or something like. Anyway, they can use this logo as long as they like, but their lawyers can't force Ethereum Classic to terminate use of the greenish logo as a very related derivative work.

Grin

@usukan  are you happy about giving the hackers and eth dev team a large say in the vote then?

Quote
I am beginning to think that the white hat hacking group is also a part of the black hat hacking group.

Maybe they're all the same people...

The same group or not all of them want to make money out of Ethereum.

I fear for the eth crowd, they have a dev team that care more about money than the tech.  I emailed christian@reitwiessner.de from my personal email address and told him he had been implicated in theft. Still no answer.  Scum!

Hackers or not, crooks the lot of them.  They want to sue me,  bring it on!   It would be nice to get out more.

Why was the ethereum foundation liquidated?  Did we find out?

They were spending the premine like crazy without any transparency. Now, it's spent mostly and they liquidate the company responsible for these expenses. No business, no questions. It was all about their personal profits anyway. That's why they saved their own asses in such a bad way after the DAO hack.
