201  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] Mt.Gox overview: January 2012 / Transparency on: February 01, 2012, 08:42:23 AM
Good stuff Mt.Gox, I think that you're doing a great job reestablishing the trust. Would be interesting to know some more details about the company. For example, how many employees are there?
202  Local / Skandinavisk / Re: Bitcoin.se - vad vill ni se? on: January 30, 2012, 09:50:14 PM

206  Local / Skandinavisk / Re: Translation help on: December 14, 2011, 09:39:55 PM
In Swedish common translations would be (though there are other options too):
 - "authentic" -> "autentisk"
 - "genuine" -> "äkta"

We don't use a translated form of Bitcoin.

To help you figure out the best word to use please provide as much detail as you can. What exactly will the hologram say in english? Will there be two separate words on it ("authentic" and "bitcoin") or is it more like a sentence "(this is an) authentic bitcoin"?
207  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Mt Gox Soon . . . on: December 01, 2011, 07:44:43 PM
Good job guys, the site design is a lot better than before. I'm sure that this will be great for Bitcoin considering that, "As of July 2011 Mt.Gox handles over 80% of all Bitcoin trade".
208  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Confused send/receive address in 0.5 client :( on: November 29, 2011, 08:42:13 PM

So I went to "Address book" and picked up some address to send coins to. I was sure it is my address, but this was someone's address i sent coins in a past.

And sent there 80 btc.

What a stupid GUI in new version, fuck!

Quote
I agree, its the dumbest thing. Someone cant design UI for shit.

Quote
That being said, I have to agree that this is confusing and should be addressed.

To me it seems very intuitive that an address book is a list of people/addresses that you send money to. And the "receive" tab is where you go if you want to receive coins. I think that "address book" was a lot more confusing to new users in the old client.

Having similar "New Address" buttons on both tabs is a bit confusing though.
209  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Mt.Gox ever get a make over ? on: November 05, 2011, 11:03:26 PM
I'm sure that it would be great for Bitcoin if they had a professional looking site. Mt.Gox is one of the sites that almost everyone who consider getting started with Bitcoin will visit. It's one of the sites that will make people decide if Bitcoin is a "real" currency or just a toy project. Honestly, today the Mt.Gox site does not look like something that regular people will want to trust their money with. It does not at all resemble other professional web sites that handle a lot of money.

Example of web site related to finance, simple, yet professional design: http://www.nasdaqomxnordic.com

So you want rounded corners.... that shouldn't be too hard.

Good UI design is usually not technically hard. But it's pretty damn hard getting it right if you don't have any experience or talent for it (I don't have any of that myself).

And no, Mt.Gox would not look professional by adding rounded corners to it.

It works, what more is needed???

This would be great for Bitcoin, even necessary I'd say. Do it Gavin, we'll figure out along the way exactly what the foundation should and should not do.
https://www.transifex.net/projects/p/bitcoin/resource/tx/

213  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Help wanted: Translations on: October 09, 2011, 07:15:13 PM
I started this thread in the scandinavian forum for coordinating the Swedish translation. If noone else is interested I will probably do it myself but I can't say for sure when that will be.

215  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I need help tranlating Satoshi's design paper into as many languages as possible on: October 05, 2011, 06:30:39 PM
I don't really feel like doing the line-by-line interface on the site, but here's a Swedish translation if anyone wants to import it.

Beetcuin: A Peer-tu-Peer Ilectruneec Cesh System
Setushee Nekemutu
setusheen@gmx.cum
vvv.beetcuin. Bork bork bork!oorg

...

Looks interesting (I love "Setushee Nekemutu") but it's certainly not a Swedish translation. Smiley

Seriously, what is that? It looks very funny.

Hurty flurty schnipp schnipp! Bork bork bork!
216  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When will the bitcoin block rewards end? on: October 05, 2011, 06:15:25 PM
Thanks but will the rewards continue forever but just get smaller and smaller until they go under one Satoshi?

From the first answer in this thread:

Quote
How does the halving work when the number gets really small?
The reward will go from 0.00000001 BTC to 0. Then no more coins will likely be created.
217  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: THE CRYPTO-CURRENCY [New Yorker Magazine Article] on: October 04, 2011, 06:32:52 PM
http://www.bitcoinservice.co.uk/files/1155 (0.0 BTC - but I'm not going to force you to pay)
Is it actually possible to pay 0BTC?  When I try to enter 0 into the "spend coins" dialog of bitcoin version 0.4.0, I get the message "Error in amount."

You don't have to, the download will start automatically after a while.
218  Local / Skandinavisk / Re: Kan du hjälpa mig översätta Satoshi ursprungliga dokument? on: October 03, 2011, 06:29:47 PM
Good idea jimbobway,

I'll try to help out too when I can find some time.
219  Local / Skandinavisk / Re: Bitcoin.se - vad vill ni se? on: September 27, 2011, 06:05:38 PM
