The pricing for BTCD was given at the onset of the ICO, so it was known. The ratio of the funding that is coming from BTCD was not expected but that is not something the team can control. If the markets were logical, BTCD would be at 0.006 right now, but it isnt. There still must be a benefit to investing in BTC. Why did lots of people choose to invest with 0% bonus rather than with 50% bonus obtained from buying BTCD? If BTCD price was at 0.006 then investing in BTC would have obtained benefit right? People may have invested at 0% because that was easier, but like anything if they read it properly and took time to investigate they would have gotten a better deal. No one can stop others from offering 50% discount. If they are still offering this when KMD comes out i will buy all of it myself. |

I don't find it fair at all. Not only btc investors we are swallowing all the worthless btcd at overprice, but if for example 20 or 25% of btcd isn't claimed for whatever reasons ( i guess small alt coins have big % of lost coins,etc.. ), we get our stake diluted as if they existed. I just hope there is no shady deal done, the valuation of BTCD is high, but there is nothing we can do now, but my calculation is different from your, I invested 1BTC and given 8250KMD at 10% bonus 1.1BTC=8250KMD so 1KMD= 0.0001333BTC as compared to 0.000129BTC Please this may be same in 1KMD terms it is a big deal for large investors. 11616 BTC ÷ 90000000 KMD = 0.00012907 BTC/KMD That's average BTC-equivalent price paid for 1 KMD The price paid per 1 KMD varies depending on which bonus % you got Your price was higher than average, because the bulk of BTC was invested at greater than 10% bonus Detached from the reality. And obviously all of u folks believe stats above has a real element of common sense to it. Lemme guess. 11K bitcoins pooled, of which 90% is coming from a self-funding effort. That assumes 10 thousand btc in 500 btc blocks is the injection of confidence. Have u been holding meetings to lure in poor peeps with too much money? Who else sees a black hole as a fundraiser? This is such a trap for BTCD holders. No buy support and all I want is to GTF out of this KMD swap.... what a joke. I dont want KMD and I'm stuck with BTCD or have to sell so cheap its a total fucking disaster. Sorry for all who invested. The price is going to tank like Steem after it hits exchanges. i dont get it. You get a better price then during the ico and (maybe) a final and working Plattform at the end. Selling now doesnt make much sense to me. In case the unsold Komodo Coins getting burned this becomes rare af too. Could be a Gem in the future. We distribute all 90M komodo coins to our investors (90 %), no coins get burned. You can use the ICO calculator to speculate how much KMD you will receive.  The KMD/BTC exchange rate can be calculated on Sunday after the ICO has ended. After Sunday the BTCD is the only way to accumulate more KMD, as it will take at lest 2 weeks before KMD is traded in any exchange. However it could take little longer as we cannot promise any date when the exchanges list KMD. Will there be a buy wall was the question. Any knowledge on that? Buy wall for what? BTCD or KMD? I would suggest not. There is no point in using funds collected for development of the platform on buy walls. |

Komodo platform is going to be watched and talked about in the coming weeks with its initial release of tokens and more importantly how it would fair once its market open. Say dumpers will initially lower the price but its only temporary. Full potential of Komodo will be in 1 to 2 years time.
I would say next 3-6 months not 1-2 years. |

How is this different from ZClassic?
I have not looked into Zclassic but from memory it is just the same without the 20% dev fee. Komodo is using Zcash as the base for the anon functions, there is additional tech (iguana/dPoW/notary nodes) that are on top. Basically it is a combination of the best tech we current have and putting it all into a platform. |

If you are a notary node yes. You could also mine them without being a notary node but difficulty will be much higher. So the algorithm will be like the Zcash one? Equihash? I guess there won't be any point in mining if you are not a notary node? Correct. So it is a round robin for the notary node themselves. So the chosen 1 will have a very low diff, other nodes will have a higher one. Normal miners will have a even higher one. So even though blocks can be mined by others than the selected node, it is probably not worth the work or hashing power. |

It's rather hard to find severs in the available countries with the required specs at all. Let alone remain profitable.
Can I host multiple notaries at the same VPS if I buy multiple severs at that VPS?
We may have to restrict the nodes to 33. If you are just getting the node to make some easy money, it will be hard to get elected. |
