201  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM] AMT CONFIRMED AMT scammer Joshua Zipkin call to action on: August 29, 2014, 02:26:29 AM
Saying a power supply would be sent ( I still haven't received one)

[8/20/2014 6:12:45 AM] Josh: someone will send you a supply from the office today
[8/20/2014 6:12:56 AM] Me: Thank you much.
[8/20/2014 6:13:10 AM] Josh: stop being a dick on the thread anyway
[8/20/2014 6:13:29 AM] Josh: josh should go to prison..
[8/20/2014 6:13:35 AM] Josh: like com'n
[8/20/2014 6:15:19 AM] Me: Look you know how if you want attention from your parents you try to do all the good things?

But then they ignore so you act bad and you get punished but at least you get attention?

That is essentially how that thread has become.
[8/20/2014 6:16:53 AM] Me: At least posting shit like that gets attention. And now that I have an answer I can go to sleep and leave the forum be.

Lack of pride in his Chinese partners

Me: I'll also likely put together a video review for youtube. Just of the miner, objectivly.
[8/18/2014 2:36:00 PM] Joshua: id appreciate that
[8/18/2014 2:36:11 PM] Joshua: its not a dragon miner, the boards are inno'
[8/18/2014 2:36:14 PM] Joshua: s design
[8/18/2014 2:36:33 PM] Joshua: leave the word "chinese" out of it if possible

Josh: saying that the fake chats were just altered chats by phin:

[8/17/2014 3:28:37 PM] Joshua: the convo is altered, it was posted by a man who got kicked off the forum for fucking with us to much
[8/17/2014 3:28:41 PM] Joshua: consider the god damn source

On his business acumen:
[8/14/2014 2:44:10 AM] Me: I can be an assest I just don't like to be fucked with.
[8/14/2014 2:44:12 AM] Joshua: thats all, because i wasnt to go there until tomorrow after noon
[8/14/2014 2:44:24 AM] Joshua: no one is fucking with you
[8/14/2014 2:44:34 AM] Joshua: if anything im just too Adhdh and incompitent sometimes

His thoughts on veterans:

[8/14/2014 1:58:10 AM] Joshua: no the vets comment was me
[8/14/2014 1:58:22 AM] Joshua: because like wtf.. like you being a vet has anything to do with this at all?
[8/14/2014 1:58:22 AM] Me: Yeah, but I have to delete it in the AMT Users thread
[8/14/2014 1:58:54 AM] Joshua: its like crippled people that batch about a building not being handy cap accessable
[8/14/2014 1:59:00 AM] Joshua: no thats a bad analogy.
[8/14/2014 1:59:15 AM] Joshua: its like crippled people complaining about the ramp being too high?

And what he thinks of the Chinese people:

[6/30/2014 3:19:26 PM] Joshua: curt
[6/30/2014 3:20:01 PM] Joshua: i know your pissed dude, im trying to get these thing out, im sitting here in fucking  ridiculously hot shenzhen argueing with these yellow bastards daily

+1. to both the quoted and thanks to PG as your efforts do bring things to light.
I thought this would be relevant as THIS is what we were originally supposed to get and bought into, lest we forget.

https://www.coinpursuit.com/crypto-currency/advanced-mining-technology-amt.119/

So that's where all the manuals are.
205  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: AMT users thread. on: August 28, 2014, 03:13:01 PM
I did laugh at the knife part.
206  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: AMT users thread. on: August 28, 2014, 02:47:50 PM
I mean, at this point he's given us what he's going to give us "willingly". I'm never going to see that PSU he supposedly sent to me. I got the miner and that is about the best I could have hoped for considering his position on things after seeing the chats up here. I got about as pissed as I assume most any of you would. I wish we could get a "mainstream" news site to cover this.

Hell maybe I'll even get it over to Engadget and see if they have any interest on doing a piece on the darker side of the industry. It's not the silk roads out their that give bitcoin a bad name, illegal trade happens on our streets everyday, It's the companies who think we won't fuck them right back.
207  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: AMT users thread. on: August 28, 2014, 02:39:33 PM
It's just nice to show the man you can't go around screwing with people without consequences. Even if out day in court never comes, maybe josh will hunker down in china and find a new wife, he'll at least have found that people aren't just going to let him bully them without speaking out. I mean, I can't assume he'll do business in this industry in america ever again. Not with out a legion of people warning others of the past anyway.

Nah, I'm happy to shoulder the burden with you guys. It hopefully puts the other companies on warning. Fuck with the wrong group of people and you're gonna have a bad time.

I'd love to see this case be the case that puts some precedent behind practices in the crypto space. It would feel like an accomplishment even if we don't get any monetary compensation. I'm tired of seeing the companies just stomp all over us. Most business sectors are so entrenched in the every day workings of the world that to take them on seems hopeless to make a change. This is a young enough industry that with enough force we can perhaps change the flow of the stream.
208  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: AMT users thread. on: August 28, 2014, 02:07:23 PM
Well I'm pleased to announce that I was directly involved in getting the media, cryptocoin news, to take a look at the chats and propose there was a story that needed to be told to a wider audience than just the forum. Now they've got the Chinese looking at my Joe Snuffy google account. To bad I don't have my personal chats posted there, where he mentions hating working with the Chinese.

But it was more like:

[6/30/2014 3:19:26 PM] Joshua: curt
[6/30/2014 3:20:01 PM] Joshua: i know your pissed dude, im trying to get these thing out, im sitting here in fucking  ridiculously hot shenzhen argueing with these yellow bastards daily

Also, Dude, yellow bastards is not the preferred nomenclature.

I actually gave coin desk a one day head start, but they didn't pick up the ball and run with it. I'd like to see them do something with it now that it's gaining traction internationally.

Alright I got a hold of another image and to doesn't want to play along either. When I point my browsers towards it. It just doesn't come up. Chrome says it takes to long to respond.

So I'm looking for some work arounds here. It seems to be something wrong on my end. I can't get in with a password to change the info. If I just boot to Ubuntu should I be able to change it through the graphic user interface so that it isn't a static IP and is assigned one via my gateway? Or better yet can in get it in there and just set it to the pool info I need?

I'm looking to do some voice over work to pick up a little extra coin. I've got a home studio set up with my own mixing board and mic.

I'm looking to do mostly narration or announcer style work, but can work with you if you are looking for something more creative and character driven.

Feel free to post inquires here or PM me for more information.

Rates are negotiable depending on the scale of the project.

Thanks for your interest.

Looks like all the new product announcements were for our benefit!
215  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: New Official AMT Thread on: August 25, 2014, 11:18:25 PM
Everyone should make sure they get a tetanus booster prior to opening an AMT package.
I wonder if that piece of rusty iron weighs as much as a PSU.  (I have a theory; it is stupid, but reality seems to be much "stupidier" than anything I could imagine...)

I had a theory as well. but some extra metal in the box so you don't notice the missing PSU when picking up and not rejecting the miner outright.

The link still shows up when you search protection in their search box, but it just reroutes to the homepage now.
217  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: New Official AMT Thread on: August 25, 2014, 11:06:54 PM
Well slap my ass and call me Sally, I got in a package from Hong Kong today.

It seems DHL was to lazy to drive over the mountains and decided to drop it at the nearest post office. It took a couple of extra days to get here and I didn't get a notification in my PO box till Saturday. I went over and picked it up and unfortunately it is only 1 of the 3 miners I ordered. The pack slip says 1 server but the box is 18.5kg (41 lbs) I haven't opened the box yet as I am waiting for a response to an e-mail I sent to AMT before opening but that seems kind of heavy to me. Maybe I got the rest of Rik's coal burning stove.

Anyway, just thought I would let the group know that another infamous AMT miner has landed in America.

The weight is right for 1 miner. You'll probably get only 1 miner. I think AMT is only delivering 1 miner to those of us who placed multiple orders and calling it a day.

But come on guys, you know what situation they are in, just leave it.

Everyone should make sure they get a tetanus booster prior to opening an AMT package.
218  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: New Official AMT Thread on: August 25, 2014, 08:18:50 PM
it stops after 0/3 pings are ignored.
219  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: New Official AMT Thread on: August 25, 2014, 08:18:03 PM
I used the advaced ip program.it identified the miner. It does show that it matches what is on the outside of the miner. How ever whenever I point my browser to it nothing ever comes. So l I'm sol.

From you computer can you ping the IP?

It always fails.
