41  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: things are reaching a boiling point on: April 02, 2017, 02:58:23 PM
Who ever mines BU will lose all the money they spent on mining it. So that 50% threshold means nothing. Any fork of Bitcoin will be attacked ruthlessly by those who have enough resources to destroy any miners foolish enough to try.

The large miners/pools know this. The April's fool joke is on anyone who believes that signaling means anything on Bitcoin. It doesn't.
I've awoken from my inactivity period to take my part in this pursuit.
Although economically we all understand BU has and never shall have any standing, a fork is incumbent and it's outcome is still obscure.
Core hasn't been keeping the system updated, and their refusal of further updates and generally increasing the Block size is alarming and drives support away. The bitcoin unlimited bound failure doesn't lift any responsibility away from the core devs...
That said, I am here to pledge my computing power and spare time onto the complete disruption of the forked blockchain, transaction, nodes and miners. I will play my role, when the day comes I expect others to join me.
Just to side-step here, I am of the opinion this form has gone a bit nutty on this whole fork partisanship and ideology.

Pledging to commit basically crimes and exploits is a tad extreme for a mere cryptocurrency. Like most early adopters I feel my allegiance going towards this new concept, the anonymous decentralized peer to peer market and economy.

The meme has sprouted and the revolution begun. Advocating for the founder's "view" is almost laughable, satoshi would have never thought of such widespread adoption and implying so is absurd.
Conservationism in revolution is an oxymoron. As much as you can be emotionally attached with whatever made early adopters millionaires and gave you a platform for incredible and astonishing innovation, the technology is bound to become obsolete and if you don't simply move on you're in fault...

Please all bear in mind I am not stating this is the end, or idk giving technical opinions in evaluation of the bitcoin's intrinsic value, forks or whichever.
All I'm stating that as sacks of silver carried on your belt, bitcoin too will one day fade away in favor of something more efficient.

*crickets*  Hey guys, Shouldn't Zippy have to respond soon again. Maybe Hanukkah Harry will bring him a lawyer this year.
43  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BFL fucked us over again (redux) on: November 10, 2015, 04:25:07 AM
We obviously knew there would be a settlement of some type. Usually with the FTC there is some promise to discontinue behavior that is publicly acknowledged, but I doubt all the good details will see the light of day.

I'm hoping for criminal trial of some sort so that if anything there are more facts put out. Plus it would be nice to see someone end up jailed for their role.

Did you now?

Now hopefully they newly alleged counts will be strong enough for an injunction.

I enjoy how the judge was like, "yeah some of what hey claim doesn't even meet the criteria of affirmative defense, but I'll allow it because I want to see there this thing goes."

i'm not picking on you rik. i would like to make  aformal request to the ones in this thread that keep posting with no useful information to please stop so that ghose of us that want to watch this thread for useufl updates can do so. Gleb, puroto libre, sbogovac searing and a bunch of others just add nothing but noise to this thread. some of them post (like gleb) what looks like useful information but it just turns out to be false and fake. i have yet to see anything gleb posted be acted upon or turn out to be true, same goes for purto libre. before you to tell me that i am wrong plese review your past posts where you say someting is true and it turns out not to be. it has not happened just once but many times. please, i am asking for the rest of us who really care, stop posting in this thread and leave it for real updates with honest and factual information and not speculatio nand made up "facts".

Indeed I did figure it would end in a settlement, the only party that would have prevented that would likely have been BFL. Using the word hopefully doesn't speak strongly to the idea that I believe it will happen.

Also I don't see how a settlement has anything with what the judge says. A settlement is an a agreement between the two parties. The FTC settles with the people it's suing fairly often.

IF you don't like any commentary or people talking about things perhaps an open forum isn't for you. There have been links to the docket posted multiple times and you are welcome to go through and read every document for yourself as I have.

Nothing posted by the court. I suspect nothing happened. Eventually the judge might do something.

I've word that he's been granted another extension. He is supposed to update them every 90 days so I don't know long the judge will allow him to play this game.
46  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: AMT users thread. on: September 30, 2015, 11:01:52 AM

Let us know if that twat waffle ever responds.

One scammy fat fuck scammer down in the bitcoin community. Only a matter of time before the rest like Joshua Zipkin his almost twin goes down #JoshuaZipkin #bitcoinscammer
http://www.theguardian.com/technology/2015/aug/01/ex-boss-of-mtgox-bitcoin-exchange-arrested-in-japan-over-lost-480m

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conviction_rate

Japan has a conviction rate that exceeds 99% (Note that it includes guilty plea cases.[1]), which has been attributed to low prosecutorial budgets impelling understaffed prosecutors to present judges with only the most obviously guilty defendants.

Karpeles is toast.

Reading article it's insane to think of keeping "MtGox said 750,000 customer bitcoins and another 100,000 belonging to the exchange were stolen due to a software security flaw." in a hot wallet.  I cannot imagine 850,000 BTC in a hot wallet.  Just even if they talked about security I cannot imagine someone suggesting hey ... lets move most of this to cold wallet and only keep so much online.

Too bad Zipkin didn't rip off any Japanese clients.

That we know of.

The order list he gave over to the court only had US orders not international orders.

Also I was just thinking about it, and zipkin referred to us as avengers. He does know the avengers are the good guys right? Maybe he fancies him-self a super villain rather than a petty crook.

Or sue josh personally

Good idea. Where is he hiding at these days?

Right? Didn't he say he was working part time as an electrician, no he doesn't have a job? Sounds like he's working under the table. I'm betting he's not licensed that's not safe, he must want to burn down homes. You saw the picture of my miner, he threatened to burn down Bruno's house with him inside, and now he's doing electrical work. Yikes!

Besides he spends his time in the bars, I can just save him from him self with wage garnishment.
51  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Innosilicon official reponse to Bitmine bankruptcy - Let the evidence talk on: July 17, 2015, 09:58:15 PM
I most certainly did not receive a PSU.

I have pictures of the miner as it arrived, sans PSU and never received anything after the fact. I was told I'd be receiving a PSU from josh via Skype. Then nothing.

While I am sympathetic to the divorce it is hardly the fault of AMT customers and using them as a scapegoat for a failed marriage is childish. A real man would own up to the fact that his actions caused the problems.

I could care less what Craig has to say, I don't know why you would trust his word now when you haven't at any point in the past, but that is a nice try. You do things only when they are convenient to you.

If you'd like to provide me a tracking number for my missing PSU that you sent I'll be happy to do the leg work.

Yes I loss six grand and I'm glad you admit that, it is as NotFuzzyWarm said it's nice to see even a little bit of honesty. But that has nothing to do with your marriage. I am disabled from my time in the army, but I'm not asking for a pitty party. It was my choice to serve and I live with the consequences as you must with your decisions.
52  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Innosilicon official reponse to Bitmine bankruptcy - Let the evidence talk on: July 17, 2015, 06:14:01 AM
It's good to know that he purposely sent me a miner that wasn't complete even though I paid for it. That should help me win a judgement against him. I have no problem taking a trip to PA.

No one plotted to monitor AMT. Josh was in communication with people of his own free will. Hell he engaged me in conversation. However, when he didn't make good on his end of the purchases those who he was talking too refused to be silent about what he said to them, and surprise some of it was pretty inflammatory.

You don't get to take people's money, deliver faulty or unfinished products, and then flee the country while maintaining the moral high ground. "We did our best", though I'm not sure you were really more than a sole proprietorship, isn't good enough. If a lawsuit with IMET would have paid you enough to refund all your customers then why the hell wouldn't you do that? I hope for the sake of potential customers and your potential worker that you never start up a business again. You obviously don't have the chops to run a company.

So you say, "One day maybe we get our lawsuit with IMET." My question to you is, what if you do and you manage to win? Would you refund the people whose money you took? My guess would be no at this point.

You must think you have the biggest swinginest dick in the world to come in here and talk like this. For fucks sake.

53  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Innosilicon official reponse to Bitmine bankruptcy - Let the evidence talk on: July 16, 2015, 03:21:23 AM

As an attempt to help out with the A1 mess from AMT/Bitmine, I did forensics on several of the A1 boards that Bitmine/AMT were using from late Feb thru around mid-May of 2014. They went through several revisions in that period. These boards and a testbed were provided courtesy of Joshua Zipkin owner of AMT. Since aside from a different name on them they are the same boards, my findings should apply.

Bottom line is that whoever designed those boards and ESPECIALLY the thermals layout should be shot (figuratively of course). As evidence, re the difference in the large topside heatsinks that the Dragons used, Bitmine/AMT 1st tried none at all then tiny chipsinks held on by thermal tape. 1 guess as to which hashboards had highly heat-discolored sinks falling off and chips literally going poof letting out their Majik Smoke.

Perhaps it was this one?

I've yet to recieve my power supply and we're coming up on almost a year after mine shipped, the second one that is. Still haven't received a miner that hashes any where near what I paid for. Even after they went to china mine hashed at 600gh. Haven't heard much on the class action so if that fell apart I'll just have to sue him individually and then have his wages garnished.

I always wanted to be an avenger.
54  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Innosilicon official reponse to Bitmine bankruptcy - Let the evidence talk on: July 16, 2015, 03:09:15 AM
When a wife a client doubts her husband because he made the wrong choice to purchase a miner, (from any company by all means),  or when the wife of an owner divorces him right after having their newborn for fear of her child's life and her own due to the types of threats and gestures which have been made.

And trust josh, he would know threats.

56  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: JOSHUA ZIPKINS THE MAN WHO DDOS'd BTCTALK!!!! on: June 20, 2015, 11:22:02 PM
I thought this was pretty funny.

57  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: JOSHUA ZIPKINS THE MAN WHO DDOS'd BTCTALK!!!! on: June 10, 2015, 03:32:31 AM
As of today PACER still has no record of him finding new counsel. There was no date for him to physically show though. I'm hoping the judge will tire of his shenanigans and require his appearance in court. Hopefully if then then doesn't show the judge will put a bench warrant out. But who knows really.

Zipkin is incapable of providing his address to the court so I don't imagine he will fare well if he attempts to represent himself and AMT should this go to trial.
58  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official AMT Thread round 3: Future Plans. on: June 08, 2015, 02:46:59 PM
AMT future plan. Never be heard from again. They sure don't seem to want to respond to the courts.
59  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: JOSHUA ZIPKINS THE MAN WHO DDOS'd BTCTALK!!!! on: June 05, 2015, 07:13:24 AM
Today he was supposed to have a new lawyer entered to represent him in the ongoing case against him and AMT. Since he screwed the pooch on the last two dates I'm not expecting he'll make this one. We'll see. I'll be checking pacer to find out for sure one way or another.
60  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: JOSHUA ZIPKINS THE MAN WHO DDOS'd BTCTALK!!!! on: June 01, 2015, 12:10:20 PM
I think jailing him during the proceedings is fitting because it ensures he is present.

You mean after he is extradited? He fled the country long ago.

I'd not be surprised to find out he's back in the US. especially if his marriage went further south.

He updated his info to a US P.O. Box and gave his us based cell phone number to the court. Yes he could have been using it in Bulgaria, but why not  just include it the last time?
