201  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Burst weekly report! The future is bright! Proof of Capacity is here. on: September 08, 2018, 04:57:24 AM
Greetings fellow altcoin followers and all the same to the altcoin prophets of doom. I declare myself as the Burst unofficial official news bringer. Its time to let each of you know that Burst's future is now in the good hands of the Proof of Capacity Consortium!

I shall be posting all the updates and reports in this thread. Keep your eyes peeled.

https://www.burstcoin.ist/weekly-burst-report-5-10012017/

  • The PoC Consortium finally released their Android wallet! Sending and receiving money is now as simple as scanning a QR code. Beta phase is finished, but more exciting features are already planned. You can download it on Google Play.
  • Additionally, some screenshots were published with the announcement that seem to indicate a working iOS version of the wallet. Although the PoCC hasn’t commented on this so far, an iOS version would make sense as already mentioned in the Weekly
Burst Report #3. The use of Steve Jobs’ “one more thing” phrase while introducing these screenshots seems quite obvious!
  • The PoCC developers are still working on the 1.3.6cg version of their wallet.
  • The PoCC added a chart page to their explorer. It currently includes a richlist, top forgers, balance distribution and block winners but as you can see on the page that more charts are on the way.
  • BurstNation is going to launch a BurstNation branded wallet focused on simplicity, as shown on the preview they did in their latest Live Meeting.

Past reports can be seen in Burscoinist website.

I hope that this news will somehow affect the crypto-currency market, or rather the growth in the value of coins. Now it sounds promising
202  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Change Private Key on: September 08, 2018, 04:57:01 AM
I accidentally sent my MEW private key instead of wallet address to this Google Docs Airdrop. Is it possible to replace that private key? Thanks a lot!
It seems to me that it is impossible to change the private key and it is given only once. If it could be changed the number of hacks would be more
203  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Exchange it or Hold it on: September 08, 2018, 04:56:21 AM
Knowing that you could get free coins from Airdrops, would you exchange it once you got the coins or hold it until the vslue rises up?
It seems to me that it is best to sell tokens as soon as you get them because the prospects for the development of many coins may not come true
204  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good or bad idea!!!! on: September 08, 2018, 04:55:25 AM
Its good to invest money in cryptos or to invest it in share market.Which one is good and which one is bad idea!!
I prefer to work with investments in crypto. Today, this option is easier, more profitable and more useful for society. Pluses need to pay attention to a careful study of the project for a suitable choice. But a similar problem is also preserved in the stock market.
205  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH so popular on: September 08, 2018, 04:55:04 AM
Eth has become popular, do you know the reasons?
I think people are too stress with BTC decreasing, then they sell BTC out to buy more ETh.
ETH remains a popular destination due to its advantages and technology. Has a huge potential for the development of a large platform, which will be the basis for launching different ICOs. And at the same time it has a good potential for price appreciation in the future, because it enjoys trust among participants and investors.
206  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How long Crypto currency will survive? on: September 06, 2018, 05:06:30 PM
How long is crypto will survive in this world ?

What could kill Crypto?
Today, the crypto market is still quite a young direction. I am sure that over time crypto will develop, with the advent of new technologies and useful solutions for society. Of course, 90% of all current altcoins will die, because they do not bring practical benefit, but the crypto itself will live and develop.
207  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IS CRYPTO TRADING ADDICTION? on: September 06, 2018, 05:05:45 PM
I heard about a guy in Moscow, who jumped out of the window, because he lost all his money in crypto investments and trading. So, do we have a new free heroin here? Is it possible to get addicted to crypto?
Indeed, I already could make sure of myself - working with crypto currencies leads to a certain dependence. Trade in this case in part can really be compared with drug addiction. But I do not see a particular problem in this. Many things in life cause dependence in us, and crypto in this regard is not the worst option.
208  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Exchange it or Hold it on: September 06, 2018, 05:05:14 PM
Knowing that you could get free coins from Airdrops, would you exchange it once you got the coins or hold it until the vslue rises up?
The question is really complicated. Hardly anyone can give a completely accurate and correct answer. But personally, I prefer to exchange the bulk of coins. I keep at myself a little - on the average somewhere 10-30% counting on a rise in price.
209  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Advantage of BITCOIN on: September 06, 2018, 05:04:47 PM
Bitcoin allows money to be sent anonymously across a peer-to-peer global network, with no intermediaries needed to validate or process transactions. That has made it attractive to those who want to keep their identity secret, including those buying and selling illegal goods and services on the internet.
BTC really remains the real leader of crypto due to significant development and undoubted advantages. Personally, I will highlight the high speed of transactions, the low amount of commissions, the possibility of anonymous transactions and the absence of a single regulator in the market.
210  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can any other crypto replace bitcoin? on: September 04, 2018, 07:28:26 PM
There are many cryptocurrencies out there, the fluctuation is wide and big. There’s a need of a coin that uses a process to stabilize its value.

No doubt that there is no other cryptocurrency or altcoin that can supersede the bitcoin. At least not for the next 5-10 years. Of course there are many rising competitors like Ethereum, ripple and litecoin.

Do you agree???
One of the most controversial issues, he is constantly asked. Personally, I've seen this issue dozens of times. It is unlikely that even Wang could answer it. For the foreseeable future, no one can surpass and replace the BTC in the foreseeable future. But I do not exclude that in due course there will be an altcoin, to which it really will be possible.
211  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does Altcoin price depend on BTC or ETH?? on: September 04, 2018, 07:27:59 PM
Since most of the alt coins are traded with BTC or ETH. SO I think altcoins prie are dependent on the price of this two.
What is your opinion please share.
Yes, I am also absolutely sure of it. I believe that the cost of altcoins on the market really depends to a large extent on the state and overall dynamics of the BTC. Every time during the fluctuation of BTC there is also a change in the prices of altcoins, this can be noticed almost immediately.

hash-to-coins.com stats are so screwed up... their FLAP pool hashrate is nearly 3x the net hashrate? So wish we could rid of this multipool!

So its mean that my coins is lost?
Or will be available after Cryptsy update to new wallet?

Cryptsy is okay now... deposits/withdrawals are now working again. Did you get your coins?
219  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][FLAP] FlappyCoin the Gamers Delight on: May 25, 2014, 03:26:11 PM
are any exchanges working and are on the current version?

Cryptsy and Poloniex most likely on wrong blockchain... AllCoin is okay.

Poloniex market became frozen around the same time we hit block 140,000 (v3.1 wallet intentionally forked the blockchain at block 140,000 due to changes in mining reward payouts)... I suspect they did not upgrade to v3.1 before the fork.

Same story for Crypsty... their wallet is not seeing new deposits made on the current blockchain.

AllCoin deposits/withdraws are working... they are definately on v3.1 wallet.
