201  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What about Gibraltar? on: October 11, 2019, 07:02:42 PM
One wonders if there is a secret plan to give Gibraltar to Spain.

Gibraltar is too important for the UK to just give back to Spain like it did with Hong Kong.

Spain is not as powerful and influential as China so Gibraltar stays with the UK. I don't think EU will do something different.

However, it is strange, that 3+ years after the referendum, you still have no exit plan.
I have the feeling, your government doesn't want to leave, you are trapped in EU and you just delay it.

There are still many influential leaders and politicians in the UK that wanted to stay with the EU. Before there were even plans of a re-vote and that the second one won't be including the whole populace.
202  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Poll for Gambling Domain Names! on: October 11, 2019, 01:30:09 PM
I chose CoinBettors.com because it is more appealing to my eyes.
Wouldn't it be more appealing if its like BetterCoin.com or so whatever domain extension will it be. Its sounds awful, I don't know if its just me or what, it really doesn't suit my taste especially the word ''Bettors''

Because if we use BetterCoin then it won't connect to gambling anymore which is the main purpose of the coming site.

It sounds awful to you but it is actually more appealing to the eyes of the gambling world. Maybe you don't like gambling my friend. It is fun and entertaining. Just make sure not to gamble more than enough of your extra money.  Grin
203  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin coins are losing popularity? on: October 11, 2019, 01:09:09 PM
Bitcoin is an online currency.  Even if started with a lower price.  Now its value is beyond the reach of ordinary people. But, nowadays, it seems that Bitcoin is losing its popularity.Because, not receiving validity in low income countries. It may be the main reason.

1 bitcoin is maybe beyond reach but you can buy it in decimals. When it was at $3,000 you probably said that and will said it again when it reaches $20,000 again soon.

Bitcoin is not losing its popularity. Instead it is becoming more popular. Bakkt was launched, Binance entered in the US and many more coming soon as halving is nearing to happen.

Low income countries don't represent the big volume of bitcoin users, investors and traders.

Maybe you just lack updates my friend.  Grin
204  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: Cloudbet 53 hour withdrawl on: October 11, 2019, 12:05:12 PM
OP doesn't give an update so we can't conclude what's really happening here, maybe this problem has been solve already that's why this newbie account is now gone, this is the same scenario I see in some cases about newbies complaining but they didn't update after the problem was solve.

This will have an impact on the site going forward. It's a pity actually, someone made a thread kind of want to drop the cloudbet. And after solving the problem, @OP just disappeared. I am sure, the cloudbet must have resolved this problem as soon as possible.

I am using Nitrogensports and the same with Cloudbet, your winning bet needs to be graded in order to receive the amount you won. Sometimes it also took hours. Maybe I will transfer to other sports book site but who is more reliable than Nitrogensports? Few years ago, Cloudbet has red trusts for being shady and seeing this thread now won't make Cloudbet any better than Nitrogensports. I am also considering fiat-based sports book if Nitrogensports turns to worst.
205  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: List of P2P/no-KYC exchanges on: October 11, 2019, 09:43:17 AM

Remitano [NO KYC for Seller (only Buyer must KYC)]
https://remitano.com/

Remitano now request KYC from sellers

The same with Shapeshift, just lately they are also asking their clients to open an account and the need of KYC. Many companies are now shifting to KYC needed platforms probably due to government regulations. Remitano is available in many countries like USA. And they cannot just let their services to other countries without KYC, SEC can probably won't approve their services in the US.
206  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: October 11, 2019, 09:17:27 AM
I think that Man United is going to lose more points (maybe the players will do that on purpose) in order to force the board to sack Ole Gunnar Solksjaer.
The rivalry between United and Liverpool is too big for something like that. The match is a derby, it is going to be a battle. You have to understand that this is not just a sports rivalry. Both Liverpool and Manchester are port cities. They are not just rivals on the pitch, they are rivals outside of it as well and they don't like each other. Google Liverpool and Manchester rivalry and you will find a lot of articles explaining this in details, going all the way back to the Industrial Revolution.

Liverpool and Manchester United is a rich history of rivalry. Currently, Liverpool is on the upper hand, this team is too strong and won the last UEFA.

Frankly, I don't believe on the conspiracy here that players aren't playing well on purpose as they are against Solksjaer. Anyway, Man U needs to man it up if they want to stay relevant in this season.
207  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to be profitable in sports betting? on: October 11, 2019, 08:37:58 AM
For example. If you bet 1BTC to a 2.0 odds then you get only 1.9BTC in return then that can be considered as house edge.

If you bet 1 btc on a 2.0 odds then you get 2 btc in return as what the odds say, not 1.9 btc. If there is a 2.0 odds then it means the other side is below 2.0, it is where the house edge is deducted.

They can't set 2.0 on both odd since it will not profitable for them.

That is why in that snooker game both are at 1.887 odds because giving both guys a 2.0 gives no profit for the house. That is synonymous with 11.3% as the house edge. Sports betting sites don't mention house edge but it is there as an open secret. The profit you mentioned needed by the sports betting sites is the house edge mentioned in the crypto casino betting sites.

208  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA EURO 2020 Discussion Thread | Current Phase: Qualifying on: October 11, 2019, 08:14:29 AM
Czech Republic - England

Derby of the Group A, between the two first-ranked teams on the table, England still in the lead.
They have four victories leading the table with 12 points, while the Czech Republic has three points less, but have also played one match more. Kosovo has a chance to reach the second place, so the match is of great importance, especially for the host. In the first match in these qualifiers, England beat the Czech Republic at home 5:0.

The Czech Republic can profit a lot in this game and they have been very good at home so far. However, England is a big favorite because they are in great shape but my expectation is that the home side will score almost one goal.
So, it's a Both Teams To Score - Yes @1.84

I am also thinking of betting for the Czechs to score in this game as they have the home court advantage and they are not bad being second in the group but I pulled out because as we know England is just very strong currently. But reading your post it gives me the confidence again to take the bet.

May your luck continues mate.
209  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to be profitable in sports betting? on: October 11, 2019, 07:24:57 AM

They say that sports betting has no house edge, but why is it it's still hard to win here?

You are mistaken my friend. Sports betting have higher house edge compared to online crypto-based dice and some other online crypto-based casino betting sites.

Take a look at this English Open in snooker moneyline. Both David Grace and Michael Georgiou are 50/50 according to betting experts. But if you bet on any of them you won't get 100% return. Instead it is only 88.87% meaning the house edge is 11.13%. That is much bigger than the 1% to 2% house edge on most online crypto casinos. The only difference with sports betting is you cannot purely rely on luck. You can study and assess the players and their past performances. The only games that aren't dependent on luck on casino games are poker and other games that you can play against other players.

I mentioned "online crypto-based casino" because land based casino have higher house edge, probably 10% to 20%. The same with online fiat-based casinos where house edge are probably the same with land-based casinos.

My friend you cannot expect to have regular income on gambling. It is a game of chance, luck and some needed analysis. You better gamble responsibly just for fun and do not have high expectations to profit.

210  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to Buy GRAMS in Telegram. on: October 11, 2019, 06:25:38 AM
I'm feeling doubtful about the future of gram and why? Too much supply with various rate already offered by various exchange sites or partners that have already made a cooperation with telegram team.
You are talking about too much supply but you did not say about demand? Telegram has a big number of users worldwide in March 2019 there are about 3m new users registered in just 24 hours, and how about now? We can see a real market and future of GRAM once it traded into exchanges.

And Telegram continues to grow. Telegram is the best messaging app when it comes to privacy and security, no wonder users keep growing by numbers.

The supply doesn't matter because it is about the price and Telegram's market capitalization. If the market capitalization is already in billion dollars then it is probably expensive and harder to grow in price. $50 million dollars or below is just fine. I for one will be watching this when it goes to exchanges.
211  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Poll for Gambling Domain Names! on: October 11, 2019, 05:57:59 AM
I chose CoinBettors.com because it is more appealing to my eyes. Coin represents monetary or crypto currencies and bettors for gambling. So the name itself is obviously for gambling and easier for search engines imo.

Op are you planning to establish a gambling site in the future? Is it a casino, sportsbook or both? Good luck with it if you are planning. And don't forget to promote it here in bitcointalk.

213  Economy / Economics / Re: Binance legally registered at U.S, does Bitcoin will get increase? on: October 11, 2019, 03:59:15 AM
I read in some articles that binance now operate in US https://bravenewcoin.com/insights/binance-u-s-opens-account-registrations,
I thought US banned crypto, why all of a sudden they've adopted the system of crypto like Binance? Do you think, this will affect the market of bitcoin and crypto could be increase now?

This Binance news probably won't have much effect on Bitcoin.

Although Binance is the largest exchange in terms of volumem Bitcoin has been traded in the US for years now so having a new office open can't have that much of an effect. There may be new traders registering, but given KYC is also required the same way, they probably already have accounts on Coinbase and are already trading nonetheless.
It will give some effect since this legalization will increase the number of traders in Binance, this will also increase the demand where a lot of investors will be added and coins to be transferred to Binance.
Legalization of binance will be the first step for some other countries to accept crypto in their countries. This will become the trigger for them to move and start to accept crypto from now on.

Binance do have an impact on bitcoin market but not that big and fast. Little by little Binance known for its many altcoins in its market helps crypto currencies particularly bitcoin become mainstream. The US government is not really against bitcoin after all, as we can see there are many exchanges already in the US. The US just impose very tight rules on bitcoin and crypto currencies because it is decentralized.
214  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: October 11, 2019, 03:48:16 AM
But what if they lost points again? (Which I believe it is the most possible to happen).
I think that Man United is going to lose more points (maybe the players will do that on purpose) in order to force the board to sack Ole Gunnar Solksjaer.
see their the performance that below average, and almost bad. it can or maybe they are ganging up to order sacked OGS.
means their changing room condition are not conducive, if so, it is unfortunate that they are doing something unprofessional,
because the United players are players who are paid quite high compared to other teams in the EPL.

That's a deep conspiracy mate if ever players are doing it on purpose to show the board that Solksjaer is ineffective. Meanwhile, it looks like Man U board board is still supportive on Solksjaer and the team is possible to go into an overhaul. If overhauling and signing new players are Solksjaer's main plan right now. Then the current players if ever really conspiring for bad performances gives the board more reason to support Solksjaer plans.
215  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Bitcoin more worth than other cryptocurrencies that have better specs? on: October 11, 2019, 03:34:06 AM
One of the main reasons why Bitcoin has more worth than any other cryptocurrencies is because it has the proven track record to secure hundreds of billions of dollars ($269 billion as of Dec.8 ) without getting it lost to theft or accident.

If a person manages to successfully hack Bitcoin, he or she will easily top the Forbes’ Billionaires List at #1. And believe me, people have definitely tried to get this money that Bitcoin holds right now.

No other cryptocurrency has been held to the same amount of scrutiny and stress-test as Bitcoin. Let’s really test the limit of this technology.

Good or bad, I’m extremely excited what we will see in the future.

I hope you are too.

I don't think I agree with you on this. The basic reasons behind why bitcoin is more valuable than other cryptocurrencies are;
1. Bitcoin introduced blockchain technology which led to the introduction of other cryptocurrencies.
2. Bitcoin is the father and king of all cryptocurrencies.
3. Bitcoin introduced financial freedom to everybody no matter your social status.

You don't have to disagree with each other, both reasons can be combined. Except maybe for number 3. How can bitcoin gives you financial freedom when it can go down or up just like normal currencies do? And is bitcoin is even too volatile that is dangerous in terms of your financial security? Maybe you are earning bitcoins online? But everyone can also earn online with fiats too. Maybe the financial freedom you meant is free from government interventions?
216  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-10-10] How the U.S. Government Tried – and Failed – to Shut Down Bitcoin on: October 11, 2019, 03:15:39 AM
Satoshi Nakamoto being anonymous helped a lot. Maybe bitcoin developers already knew that a crackdown is coming. Being decentralized in nature, there is nothing governments can do to shut down on bitcoin. Not even banning miners and considering it illegal since there are many forms and ways miners can do, the world is big.

Now the US is trying to regulate it to assert control on stake holders. The autocratic Chinese government knowing it cannot control bitcoin did massive bans. Binance for example left China, stood still and now its one of the biggest crypto exchange in the world.
217  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should Fiat currencies still exist or be replaced by Crypto Currencies? on: October 10, 2019, 03:04:20 PM
Aren't stablecoin more like fiat on the blockchain, if we can develop stablecoin to become a force in the industry I don't think we need the service of Fiat currencies. Every country can simply develop their stablecoin just as Facebook is currently doing that way they'll still be in control of the currency as it'll be operated on the blockchain.
On my own point of view, I don't think fiat currencies will be replaced by cryptocurrencies because as we all know cryptocurrencies value are volatile so it may rise or fall from time to time so it's really hard for us to save and buy the things we want if the value of our currency is volatile. It should have a stable currency and the volatile currency so that we can create value through fiat pair.

That is why the guy said stablecoin. Just like USDT or the Libra currency of Facebook.

But as mentioned by op. There are cases where fiat is necessary. Just like places where there are no internet and electricity. Most cities and developed countries can do a full shift to their own stable crypto currencies but developing and poor countries will be having a difficult time to adapt this kind of monetary system. There are countries that poverty level is very high and needed to focus on those issues rather than developing their own crypto currencies.
218  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Litecoin at the end of 2019? on: October 10, 2019, 02:48:01 PM
I put in Litecoin halving into google and got:

"Will litecoin go up 2019?
According to oracletime.com, the advantages of Litecoin over Bitcoin will interest many new investors. Their Litecoin forecasts for the end of 2019 is $1000, but there are predictions that it could even rise up to $2000!"

Thoughts?

I stopped expecting too much after the whole 2018 was a big disaster on my crypto investments. 2017 was a golden memory for me and I would be very happy if it happens again. It is three months more to go and 2019 ends. With this short span of time there will be 5% chances of Litecoin reaching $2,000. And maybe 30% chance of it reaching $1,000. I will be contented if Litecoin ends at $200 this year.
219  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin can't survive alone on: October 10, 2019, 02:35:04 PM
Bitcoin was not build to be dependent with other currencies, so yes it will survive alone. Altcoins are born because they want to develop something better than bitcoin. Developers came up with different ideas that can fill the gaps that bitcoin is lacking. Even bitcoin itself went into hard forks because of stakeholders differences on how it would continue as a decentralized currency. Just like numerous fiats existing then bitcoin and altcoins can co exist too.

OP is like a hard core altcoin believer and there is nothing wrong with it. It is normal that many people leaving altcoins because of the long bearish period. It is not about not believing the many altcoin projects were many are also very interesting to watch out but it concerns about their investments value.
220  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to Buy GRAMS in Telegram. on: October 10, 2019, 02:05:31 PM
I'm feeling doubtful about the future of gram and why? Too much supply with various rate already offered by various exchange sites or partners that have already made a cooperation with telegram team.
I will not put a big expectation for the result of the gram token.
I have bought this coin for a hundred dollars through crypterium app but gram already offered by another service with the different rates and that makes me feel confusing how this is possible to happen.
It looks like there is collusion there.

Gram development progress is also getting lack of transparency to the buyers.
I feel so difficult to get the latest update about the development of gram.

I think it was last year when I heard Telegram will conduct an ICO. I didn't know it continued and went well. These sellers are like IOUs. Way back 2017, there were popular coins that were marketed despite the real supplies aren't distributed yet. These current prices are all speculation based. Are the prices offered above the ICO price already or  they were offered at a lower price?

Telegram is getting more popular and users are growing too. I think their is a real potential in their coins.
