Hell with that. Aim for Alderaan.  Cool

This was in the Hyperstake thread, which is a self moderated forum. It was NOT off topic, and was not considered off topic or detrimental by the leaders of that community, who I am well acquainted with. Allegedly, you only moderate self moderated topics in the event of complaints by the thread's owner (doesn't apply in this case or several others of late) or egregious abuse of forum members. Compleatly non applicable.

Obviously, as a private forum you have the "right" to do as you please, but if you lay down rules and then deliberately violate them, you NEED to be accountable. If moderators are going to do this, then it should not be anonymous.

Let's be serious for a moment. You do NOT EVER moderate known scammers, nor do you seem to give a tinker's damn about content, intellect, or even the ability to construct a sentence. But you will moderate off hand comments like this for no visible reason. And in a self moderated forum where it is not offensive to the community so moderated. It has become a source of running humour and contention among your users.

At the very least, if you are going to remain anonymous, state your reasons for deleting a post. That in itself would likely make you hesitate, as it often seems the only justification for deleting things is "somebody pissed in my wheaties this morning". If you have a real reason for it, then you should have no problem identifying both the reason and yourself (via screen name). If you are just playing god, you should just stop.

Sorry to go meta on a meta post, but have you tried to start a constructive dialog with mprep? Such as for example a simple private message along these lines:

"Hey mprep, some posts were recently deleted in so and so thread. I understand the posts may have seemed non substantial but actually the particular group of users interested in the thread seems to appreciate post of this kind. If there is no real harm done could you cut us some slack in this thread and let us self moderate it?

Thanks!"

I'm fairly certain such an approach would get you better results. And even if it didn't, you could still come here to open the offensive on "anonymous" moderation by a very well known and small group of forum staff.

Guys, will it be good if I try to contact a mod regarding the same???

Will they help me out in this case??? If yes, then according to ya'all, who should be contacted???

See https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=497545.0

Here is the thing. Make your request count. Provide all the information required in the first go. Make it so the admins do not have to go digging around. You get only one shot at this.

I repeat, follow the instructions there to the letter. You may not get a second chance. Good luck.

The elephant in the room has a funny name. Their name is....

"Your account was compromised and had it's password and e-mail address reset by the new owner."

I admit that it's a weird name. Any chance of you sharing what specific account we're talking about?

so could I buy one of your keys then upgrade to windows 10 for free when it is released as these are "genuine"? many thanks

Yep, that's right!   Smiley

First of all, you're buying a key not a licence.

That said you're probably in for the free upgrade regardless of your licencing status, according to http://www.reuters.com/article/2015/03/18/us-microsoft-china-idUSKBN0ME06A20150318

Note that Enterprise editions DO NOT get a free upgrade. Neither does Windows RT 8/RT 8.1.
208  Other / Meta / Re: Someone hacked my account on: May 07, 2015, 07:28:24 AM
I am not a computer geek but i think ip can prove that it was not sold. Admin can search pm's of Account sellers in the forum they will find that it was not sold! But its Hacked! I am 100% sure its hacked because The Pic on the account is a simple message! If it was sold it would have a different avatar but that wink is just a giveaway thats a fucking message for me!

Consider this If i hacked your account and removed the recovery email address and posted a pic like that, What will you consider? Did you sold the account ? No You will think same like me!

The account would have gave me like 0.2 Btc? I was in Bitmixer campaign i could have made 0.28 BTC in a week! Why in the world would i sell a golden goose like this for 0.2 BTC, But as i said above the admins can check the accounts of sellers who sell these account they will not find it. If they do they can be hackers of my account.

All said you have no conclusive evidence. And that sucks. My question was honest though. How could I proof that my account was not sold?
209  Other / Meta / Re: Someone hacked my account on: May 07, 2015, 02:03:24 AM
i have another proof too that account belonged to me. I bought a key from Fakhoury(https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=710066.0)

And I have that key which was sent to me via pm on bitcointalkorg. What else do you want :3

Signing already done, I can Verify my self by marcotheminer i have sent him my pic in the past and i can live video chat him! He will verify that its me and then at last i have the key which i should not have, Because it was in my pm's I deleted my pm's long ago And I asked him the key again and he sent me again, I can tell the details of my pm's, I asked haploid23 for adsense exchange on daily basis

This is all the stuff which i should know if i am the owner of the account. And all these person's Can confirm it. And No I did not sell the account

Admins can verify everything and they will find that the account was not sold by me, I went offline for a month or 2 i had my exams but when i came back it was gone.

the email: thekool1ss@gmail.com was removed from the account, You can check that from google cache it is was there but was removed. Admins can only prove its not sold but instead its hacked.

And how can you proof that the account was not sold...?
210  Other / Meta / Re: Selling Bitcointalk Trust - which subforum to use? on: April 30, 2015, 09:44:03 AM
Huh.  So if you gave an account some greentext, and that account is sold and goes on to scam, you'll be removed from default trust?
As an educator, I sell my trust in the open, on Bitcointalk, for the same reason accounts are sold: so that newbies would know that such things happen.  That's how allowing Bitcointalk accounts to be sold has been rationalized by you, and I found your reasoning convincing Smiley

Again, you really don't seem to have any sort of grasp on how any of this works, which is why I highly doubt you have an account on default trust. Why don't you just start selling trust already and see how it plays out?

Either one of two obvious reasons:
1) They don't have any account on default trust. (talk to Quickseller, he might have some available!)
2) They know exactly how it will work out.
211  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BFL fucked us over again (redux) on: April 30, 2015, 09:37:31 AM
I had a thought yesterday about what some folks have been complaining about. If this comes across as curt or rude I assure you I did not intend any offense. I hope I don't say anything that could be misconstrued.

Some people are bothered by the clever asides. The images, the clever prose and the humorous stories.

I'm not one of them. What you do find is great. Some of what you find may make me feel cheated or betrayed by a company I once stupidly sent money to, and once thought farther a head and didn't pre-order. I don't really have anything useful on the pictures. While reading though information that I wish I had known in advance. Information that more often then I might want to admit makes me quite angry you put in funny pictures. So rather then getting so incensed that I start yelling or anything bad I get a little dose of levity. I do like them.

The clever prose I have less of a good idea on what to do with. It is not bad and frequently hints at things you have either uncovered or at least believe that you have found information about. They don't seem presented poorly and the suspense is "Two Weeks" shorter then a BFL order.

The humorous stories. I think of the court room asides and things of that nature. This is the one I was thinking about mostly. Possibly instead of having it (generally at the end anyways) part of the investigation. Possibly you could start a different hashtag or even just an alternate color heading. I'm thinking "Furry Tail Theater!". I generally laugh at this part. It is very imaginative, speculative, and the imagery is superb. Maybe people that only look for your hard work uncovering things would see the notice and skip that part if they didn't like it.

I don't know if any of this would actually help. No that's not true. I think the "Furry Tail Theater!" would help me a lot. When the raw data is too bothersome I could look for the humor before returning to the investigation. Still I wouldn't presume to tell you how to run an investigation. I don't believe I have done anything wrong but I would not enjoy you gunning for me. <<< I'm sure there would be no firearms used. Just lots of data and funny stories and pictures. Keep fighting the good fight!

That was curt nor rude. I acknowledge that there maybe be entertainment value in all the off topic rants. I personally don't want them gone, but I would love to have separate threads. One for the BFL Theatre and another one for the cold hard facts. Gleb is providing both mingled together. I don't have the time or inclination to set up a facts-only thread myself and I won't tell or expect anyone else to do it. So it's not likely to happen.

TL;DR: Live with it.
212  Other / Meta / Re: Someone hacked my account on: April 30, 2015, 07:12:26 AM
I've seen nothing that proves the account was not sold. I've seen no proof that the account was hacked.

If there is not certainty on that it doesn't matter that you owned the account in the past. Theymos has made it very clear on numerous occasions that he will not act if there is any doubt.
Either conclusively remove the doubt or forget about it.

Also do not expect any admin to provide evidence. They likely have already looked over the account when you first reported it and couldn't find anything to conclusively say the account was hacked.
213  Other / Meta / Re: Vod making false accusations about me | Providing proof for Mod or admin on: April 29, 2015, 09:07:44 AM
OP, do you have a valid MSDN membership in your name or not?

Yes it is in my name.

The other question I asked on your thread, which is whether you are claiming that the purchaser gets a valid license to the product. If you don't claim that, then at least you are being honest about what you are selling. You're likely breaking your MSDN agreement, and that's not quite upstanding, but its not as bad as doing that and misrepresenting to the buyers what they are buying.

Now we have someone who actually have real questions.

They will be obtaining a valid license of the product. I have always provided my customers with all answers they needed

In your sales thread you offer product keys. Product keys are not a license to use the software. So if you're providing license could you possibly show some proof of a license?
214  Economy / Digital goods / Re: 🔑CHEAP MICROSOFT WINDOWS OFFICE ADOBE KEYS [7YEARS+][70+ FEEDBACK][AUTOBUY] on: April 29, 2015, 04:31:24 AM
You are well aware that you're not allowed to sell those keys. These keys are generated from an MSDN account and are explicitly not for resale. Also you obtain those MSDN accounts by abusing Bizspark. Bizspark subscriptions that you obtain through more fraud.

You are a true and verified fraudster. There's no need to deny it.

Do NOT judge people by your "opinion". Have you ever got a key from me ? If no don't ever tell me where I got those keys from and how to get them OK ?

I don't judge you by "opinion". I judge you by using Occam's razor on your action: selling Microsoft Product Keys for too good to be true prices.

Fact: Bizspark allows you to produce keys and even a few MSDN accounts that can provide more keys. Bizspark is free for tech startups. Fraudsters get Bizspark on false pretense and sell the keys / MSDN accounts. All keys obtained this way are not for resale.

And that's exactly what you're doing. Feel free to counter my claims and explain how you are a authorized Microsoft re-seller though.

My keys are not from Bizspark, that may be all you need to know.

Well, you use Dreamspark. Same difference. Still not allowed. Fraud confirmed.

See https://www.dreamspark.com/Student/Direct-EULA.aspx:

215  Other / Meta / Re: Selling Bitcointalk Trust - which subforum to use? on: April 29, 2015, 02:14:25 AM
In this thread most people seem upset about the idea of selling "trust". This is however a real and big business for many (SSL certificates are a prominent example, also bitcoin is all about trust isn't it?).

So if someone wants to be a trust provider on this forum, I say go for it. There are some reliable members providing this service, but they give trust when and where they think it's due. I'm not aware of any member providing trust on demand. I reckon it would have value.

I'm sure if they're accurate it would be a valuable service to some. Something similar happens with new hardware vendors. To be trusted they have to jump to various hoops (show actual hardware, have a company registration, show hardware hashing at a pool, have a "trusted" member visit them, have a "trusted" member review one of their products). And if they're not accurate they will get excluded from everyone's trust lists so fast it would cause a sonic boom.

PS. I know OP is trolling since their other avenues of discussion have not gone as planned.

Hey, I've got a lot of buyers and I'm looking to build a network of sellers of MSDN/BizSpark/DreamSpark Invites, Admins and/or Product Keys.

If you think you can offer this at a competetive pricing, then please contact me:

Skype: vurezo (picture of a painting of some guys face, says I'm from Russia (not true though), NOT A CAT)
Email: vurezo@gmail.com

My keys are from Dreamspark except Office 2013 Pro Plus is from MPN in case you're interested in.
217  Other / Meta / Re: Trim or eliminate "default trust" on: April 24, 2015, 02:59:42 AM
Can you provide an example where
  1) someone was suspected of scamming
  2) they provided information to show they were legit
  3) the negative feedback did not get removed and
  4) the person that left the negative feedback is (still) in the Default Trust list?

Yes, I can.

1) I was never suspected of scamming.
2) My over 3 years of honestly trading here demonstrates I am legit. I was accused of "lying" on the basis of a topic which is under debate and neither party can prove the validity of the accusation. (additionally "lying" has never been an acceptable use of giving negatives from someone on the default trust.)
3) The negative feedback did not get removed.
4) The person who left the feedback is still on the default trust list.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=915823.0;all

Noted. The actual text in the feedback makes it clear that it does not relate to your trading history. The situation is not perfect. I recall that this feedback was updated and altered many times. Which kind of demonstrates it is self-moderated. I accept that you disagree with that feedback, but in the end it's their opinion of you. And their opinion is generally valued. Regardless of it being valid or not.

Expanding your trust list out to level 4 means that a lot of scammers will stay in your trust network which means that their alts will possible have positive trust. The scammers will also have the ability to make it easier to give people negative trust that probably shouldn't have negative trust (just look at how many people woodcollector and his alts have given negative trust to, and I think he is (or at least was) in level 3 or 4 default trust (which is the case with a lot of other scammers)

The idea is that others would notice this and exclude those scammers from their trust lists. If it works out as intended it might even help identify account groups (hey, this known scammer trust x, y and z... Let's have a closer look at them... Hey, it's a trust circle... and x,y and z are also scammy).

Of course I'm not sure how it would work out in reality and I didn't take the jump yet. I'm using a very limited trust list myself, and I think I might have more exclusions than inclusions...

bump, new invites coming today or tommorow.

So can you deliver b2b with an tax invoice? You've simply bumped the thread but did not answer my question.

Sorry, but I don't do business with people that spam my thread.
You have told me your disgusts about these threads and what not, I just won't do it for moral reasons.

How about this, if your turn out to be a legit re-seller I will turn my efforts around. Instead of telling people that you're a fraud I will put that energy into pointing out everywhere that you're legit.

But since you're obviously not legit the bolded part is very amusing.

All the accusations thrown against you are total bollocks, I've been a long time seller myself and it costs me close to nothing to keep my refund guarantee, and it wouldn't cost OP much either. Most of the time when it's in regards to refunds, it's mostly human error as you sometimes need very specific ISO files and such, or activate the key before installing service packs and such.

Thanks for supporting me. I appreciate it big time mate.

I don't know why people are so butthurt about this. I just bought a Windows 8.1 key and it worked flawlessly!

Personally I don't care if it stops working after a year or what not, for 5 bucks I have genuine pirated install of windows with no crappy KMS service or any kind of malware dumped into it like the popular torrented ISOs.

I recommended your website to my friends so they can get off crappy pirated versions and finally have a real version of office, etc. Keep it up!

FTFY

I appreciate your feedback a lot. It really keeps me going. I agree with you, when you pirate Microsoft products, the chance of hidden malware is like 90%.

People using those keys without a licence are pirating the products.

A gallon of gasoline weighs 6 lbs but emits 21 lbs worth of co2 when burned? Is that real? Man I should study chemistry again if it is.
Well, for example:
2 C10H22 + 31 O2 = 20 CO2 + 22 H2O
The CO2 is about 3 times as heavy as the fuel

Stupid me, didn't consider the weight that would be picked up by consuming oxygen. That gives me a different angle as well... Not only is the president dumping CO2 into our atmosphere, he's also depriving us of the O2 we need! What a monster!  Wink

Thank you, Schleicher, for educating me/us.
