I just asked him if he could briefly explain that NAV COIN is an anonymous coin and to mention the decentralized anonimity will be released on 1 november. Lets hope he does this and more people get interested in investing in NAV.

Dont lie.

1 November will be only Anon Beta Test & without Decentralized !!!

Navtech Anon Beta

With November 1st one week away, we are closing in on the release candidate version of the anon scripts. I have just released a new version to the servers today for the beta test group and I am hopeful that this version is the one which we will release with the only addition being more unit tests.

I have successfully implemented and tested the queuing system at maximum payload. I have sent 10 x 10,000 NAV transactions within in the 2 minute processing cycle window. The server is only loaded with 50,000 NAV so it can't process the entire amount in one cycle. I expected a queue to form and for the payments to get processed in 2 cycles. This test was successful and I received all 100,000 NAV back to my wallet in the expected time frame.

I have also implemented a queue checker when your wallet requests an available incoming server. If the queue is more than 30 minutes long (eg. there is a pending transaction with 60 or more confirmations) the server will tell the wallet it is unavailable and your wallet will try the next server.

I have also done some work to refine how the outgoing servers are refilled from the incoming servers which will allow for more randomness within the cluster when it comes to choosing servers to transact with.

I am confident in this current version and when the beta testers are happy I will label this as our release candidate version. I will be steadily working towards my goal for November 1, to implement as many unit tests as possible.

I will keep you all updated with the progress from the beta test group and especially if we encounter any late coming issues.

Not much else to report this week. We are at the business end of the Public Anon Release, so the whole team is working hard to pull together for November 1.

To clarify, November 1 is the public release of our fully operational Anonymous Transaction Network. Decentralisation will follow after this but most of the groundwork for decentralisation is already done with this release.

Who said a pool with 1000NAV ?

I said 10k. Ok but i got what you're trying to say.

As much balance you'll have more higher anon transactions you could get... If you have for example 250.000 coins in a wallet, you could process transfer 10k 12k 15k at the same time. and even you could process transfers of 200k for example. If you only have 10k in 20 wallets.  (10kx20 = 200k) Then you won't be able to transfer more than 10k...

Ok, interesting technology...

With a pool of only 1000NAV you will quickly become unavailable and only random chance that the next TX will go to another of your servers. also this means only tx of 1000Nav or less could be processed. if you have already started on other TX the balance is even smaller so even more chance of being too small to get another tx.

any arguments?

Are you saying it will be just like staking? having big amount of navcoins in the server will allow you to handle more transactions?

Maybe a limit of navcoins for each anon server will be more healthy... For example 10000 navcoins for each anon server. Then if you have 100k you can run 10 servers.
What you think about this ?

Quote
I was now thinking about how many minimum NAV I need to run the Anon Decentralization Server.

The more you have in pool the larger the tx you can accept. The anon process checks to make sure server can process the TX. So if you have a large pool you can handle many small tx in process waiting to get NAV back and still be able to handle a new large tx.

Mean more fess for you.

I'm planning on ~100k Nav will start on a spare pc but when fees will cover it will move to a hosted VM.

no, bad idea

Hi guys,

While I do encourage all discussions regarding this project, its probably not worth your time speculating on the specifics of a system which we haven't released the official whitepaper for yet.

Once I explain the best solution I have been able to design for decentralization in detail, and why I've chosen that design, then we can open the floor for discussion and debate about improvements and best practices.

Cheers,
Craig.

Progress Report

Phase 1: Low value transactions with small test group on single server pair - complete

Phase 2: Medium value transactions with large test group on single server pair - complete

Phase 3: Medium value transactions with large test group on multi server cluster - complete

Phase 4: Large value transactions with large test group on multi server cluster - complete

I'm planning on ~100k Nav will start on a spare pc but when fees will cover it will move to a hosted VM.

Currently we load 50k NAV onto each outgoing server pair. The code is written in such a way that the incoming server gets the balance the seleted outgoing server and will only send as many pending transactions as the outgoing server has waiting to send out. This number is not restricted in the code, simply restricted by the amount of available NAV on the outgoing server. The full details of how decentralization is going to work will be released as a whitepaper as soon as possible after the public Anon release. At which point we can take public feedback and work it into the plan.

There are many security concerns to take into account. I think i have a good approach figured out which gives users the ultimate choice of who they transact through and will patch most of the security concerns I have raised amongst the team. More will be revealed in a couple of weeks with the official decentralization whitepaper

so Nav Decentralization will be launched on Nov 1st ? thanks
yes public release

Hi guys, the public release of our Navtech Anonymous network is on November 1st. There will still be some things which need to be addressed before full decentralisation of the sub chain and processing system, we have not set a date for that yet. However the public release of the anon system marks approximately the 90% point for the decentralisation project.

From November 1 the anon system will be available for public use through our dedicated servers. Following that, we will partner with the a 3rd party network admin to become the initial beta tester for the decentralised system. From there we will be confident once we have 2 networks running that we can publish the code safely to the rest of the web.

I hope that answers your question.

Cheers,
Craig.

Do you mean the post that Thunderclap posted on his behalf because he signed up Huh

You can directly check the profile, even the post he made last February 22, 2016 ..This is the magic LOL

FYI I just looked it up, Itamar joined the thunderclap on 03.10.2016. Just because his last public post was 22 Feb, doesn't mean he isn't active it just means he has his privacy settings on. And this is the thing with a random draw, the winner is RANDOM.

Please don't feel bad because you were not picked, the chances were only 1 out of 766.

My process was to load the csv of entrants and use https://www.random.org to pick a line number. This is who i drew, I don't know what a periscope would have proven.

All the best and congratulations again to Itamar!

Thank you to all of you for helping us spread the word and reach our goals. The winner of the 20k NAV will be drawn directly after the Thunderclap completes. So good luck everyone!

We have some great announcements today and I will start off with what you’ve all come to see:

Navtech Anon Public Launch

Date: Tuesday 1 November 2016

THE UNBREAKABLE CODE

It has been real journey getting the new Navtech System up to standard, but the day is finally near. When the system launches, it will be already very close to what we need for decentralisation, so that goal is also closer than ever. If you’ve been keeping up to date with the Beta Testing, you’ll already be aware that we are closing in on the release candidate version with only minor improvements to come. We are very confident we can hit this goal for the public launch approximately 10 days from now. More details below.

If you want to check out what makes the Navtech system so special, head on over and read our whitepaper:

Or if that’s a bit too nerdy, we also have a cheat sheet:

Navtech Anon Beta

It seems always busy around Nav Coin HQ during these last few months and this last week has been no different. We have successfully patched the minor issues which were reported in the last round of testing and we have successfully redeployed to the anon servers. Since deployment there have been no more reported issues, everything is processing smoothly!

We have started up a new incoming server after having the hard disk issue with the other host and we are now operating again as a cluster. We have also increased the transaction size to the maximum limit we will accept of 10,000 NAV. This puts us squarely into the last phase of the beta test.

Navtech Anon Beta

Progress Report

Phase 1: Low value transactions with small test group on single server pair - complete

Phase 2: Medium value transactions with large test group on single server pair - complete

Phase 3: Medium value transactions with large test group on multi server cluster - complete

Phase 4: Large value transactions with large test group on multi server cluster - in progress

Over my next 4 day work period I will hammer the server with multiple large NAV transactions to make sure the queue is processed successfully. I will also implement a queue checking system so when your wallet looks for an online server it will also check how long the queue is. If the queue is over 30 minutes long then the wallet will try a different server from the cluster. If all servers have queues longer than 30 minutes it will reject the transaction and ask you to try again later.

Apart from that, my main mission before November 1 is to implement as many unit tests as possible. Ideally we would be 100% covered before public launch. I think we can achieve it.

The slow and steady approach has proven useful so far. As anyone in Software Development can tell you that the best software is not rushed and it's always advised to let the dust settle for a while after making any changes to source code in case there are unforeseen consequences. Especially when building a new product.

If you want to see the Navtech Anon System in action and help us with the beta testing, send me a PM with your email address and i will add you to our slack channel.

Nav Coin Calculator

We have acquired some volunteers from our lovely community and we have been putting them to good use working on some of our side projects while the core team work on the anon beta. The first cab off the rank is the Nav Coin Calculator.

http://www.navcoin.org/calculator

You can pick a currency and the amount and it will tell you how much NAV that converts to. It’s a great little tool and is the first in our selection of merchant tools. If you put in the Nav Coin address you wish to receive the coins to, it will generate a scannable QR code with the amount and your address pre-loaded. What you enter gets pushed into the URL, so you can even send it as a link for someone else to scan and pay you. For example:

http://www.navcoin.org/calculator?fiat=USD&amount=1000&address=NhFqGhj3yQew951VB54cxi3FSdhYrNEd5E

The address is fully optional and we never record any data which is entered into the calculator. Shahim is working towards implementing SSL throughout the whole site which means soon you will be able to use the calculator over https which will encrypt any information you send to it.

We are so lucky to have amazing community members who are willing to help us out with these projects. If you have any skills which you think could contribute to the Nav Coin eco-system, send me a PM with your email address and i will add you to our slack channel.

Bit square

We're pleased to announce that we have been added to the Bitsquare Decentralised Altcoin Exchange. Bitsquare is an open-source desktop application that allows you to buy and sell bitcoins in exchange for national currencies, or alternative crypto currencies.

Unlike traditional online exchanges, Bitsquare requires no registration. It's decentralised and transactions happen peer to peer. Because of this, your coins never leave your computer until they are traded. It's private and never broadcasts any identifiable information. It connects to the internet through the Tor network and it implements end to end encryption.

It really is a great way to privately purchase NAV so I encourage you to check it out!
