201  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Gulden a good investment? on: April 08, 2017, 06:26:41 AM
Time to place bets?

Prime release.

Developers say May.
I am saying July.

I want to open up some betting with about 5 people.

10k says it will be July and those that say May must bet 10k against me. I am prepared to bet 50k on > 1st July release.
202  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Gulden a good investment? on: April 04, 2017, 07:22:27 AM
Very disappointing to see it changed to May, consider a July release as realistic. One project for the year , very sad!

this has to be the most absurd reasoning ever, I nominate you for a bitcointalk award.

Prime is now on the roadmap to be released in May. We think that’s achievable, but as with all developments: it’s ready when it’s ready. Quality always (always, always, always) comes first!
203  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Gulden a good investment? on: March 31, 2017, 11:07:06 AM
I will keep investing in Gulden until the team has given me reasonable doubt not to trust them anymore.

Most of the negatives have said there won't be a whitepaper and prime will never be developed. The devs did say there will be a whitepaper (at one time) and prime is the next project. We will see who is telling the truth come May. I am expecting a half truth of no whitepaper but prime will be developed.

Very disappointing to see it changed to May, consider a July release as realistic. One project for the year , very sad!

What is the ETA on Prime?

Expected date + 2 months, this is how it's always been with this coin, if they say they doing Prime they doing Prime. End of May or June is when I expect them to complete the project.

Who are talking in this Gulden topic?

It seem to be that this Gulden topic is visited by People that only want to hurt Gulden. What are they doing in their last 20 postings

Donatello: 3 Synero topic postings and 1 Stratis topic and 16 Gulden topic FUD,
Gaster: newbie, 4 posts, 4 Gulden topic FUD
Altcoinfanatic: 5 DGB ANN postings, 2 Viacoin, 13 Gulden Topic FUD
Danslip: 6 DGB ANN postings, 2 Myriadcoin ANN posting, 12 Gulden topic FUD
Dutchyyy: 20 Gulden topic FUD

What a hate and frustration to Gulden, It looks like the most hateful people came from DGB  Grin

Enjoy your South African slaves but when the funding runs out don't come crawling to us for help.

They (Rijk) sold over 17 Million PREMINE Gulden with their Gulden shares, which results in more than 500 BTC for funding the devs.
So if Rijk does not spend it on booze and hookers, they can fund the development for a long time.

Only thing is, nobody knows which bitcoin address contains the funds of the sold Premine thus the 500+BTC are free to spend for Rijk.
He could use it for pumping the Gulden value, for funding Niet Stemmers.nl, for funding his lifestyle, for the Plasmans wealth fund (own pocket).
We will never know because lack of transparency.

Don't give these people any of your savings, use your mind Wink

You won't know if he is funding his political party or if the purpose of Gulden was to funnel funding to his party. You can only measure the development that has been done and this is transparent.

Is there any proof that when the party was formed that the premine was no longer transparent?

The Premine Gulden addresses are transparent, only the sold premine to fund the development through their Gulden shares are not transparent, meaning that the BTC (over 500 btc) raised through this structure are not public, only Rijk knows where the BTC are spend and on what.

The community must wait until the Prime development is completed before carrying on with funding. That will be proof enough for most people that the funding is being put to good use.

I hope i am wrong.

Get on their slack. Air some of your concerns, since not everything looks like what they're claiming. Those arrogant bastards will f* you left right and center with troll-seeking missiles, then kick you out.

Almost all my DGB friends are already kicked out. According to them the rules are:

1. Don't speak positive about other coins with better development (there are only couple better but still) or you will get kick out

I bet they kicked them for asking why the marketing sucks balls.

No. What I heared is that Gulden was begging in 2015 through Waterloodown for developers. Mani was the only developer till now. He could not do all alone.
They went begging from coin to coin and were turned down by everybody. Waterloodown also offered a big chunk of the premine to developers to join Gulden but the developers still refused the bribe.
Then when DGB fans asked for development support for DGB then Gulden became hypocrites and said that they only work for Gulden. In short: it is ok for other developers to join Gulden but it is not done to expect the same back. This was not nice from the Gulden team.
Then they got kicked out from Slack.

Stop with the FUD m8, this is your story... waterloodown was turned down by all coins and when the other coins needed help he refused. BIG F'ING SURPRISE ! Go spread your fairy tales elsewhere m8.

No FUD. He asked why they were kicked out. I told him what they said to me.
Ofcourse i understand that if everybody turned Waterloodown down that he turned them down also. No surprise there and I agree with Waterloodown.

This is exactly why i hate some of the community. You all cannot read and are so fast offended.
I replied Danslip why they were kicked out and you guys read something else. Stop being a sheep!
Remember the rules of Slack? They don't apply here!

M8 in every community you not going to get on with everyone, it's only natural, if you unhappy with the community then dump your coins and move on.

2017 is the year that determines if gulden has a future, I was impressed with the amount of development in 2016 but the devs must not let the momentum slip. Prime is the project we have been waiting for and the only project on the roadmap that is capable of pushing this coin into the top 10. The team must admit that the crypto world is after innovation. 1.6.0 proved with all the innovative wallet features, that this is what people care about or the marketcap would be back to < $800 000.
208  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Gulden a good investment? on: March 04, 2017, 10:53:48 AM
I have some Gulden in my wallet altough I sold a lot during the first pump. I made fantastic profits, so I cannot blame anyone as this coin was very profitable to me. I think that it has potential to repeat a huge pump, especially, if we take into account  the climate of the upcoming elections in Holland. Remember, for example, Aurora coin and elections in Iceland.

This Prime development will cause some interest but don't expect it out in March like the roadmap says. The devs are always late on projects , not only Gulden devs but all devs. Prime will be out in May.
209  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Gulden a good investment? on: December 06, 2016, 06:53:19 PM
Good update, waiting for iOS to test the innovative link process.
210  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Gulden a good investment? on: November 03, 2016, 06:30:50 AM
Gulden is going to decrease and i think according to coinmarket cap the price is getting low.. but i think it is still good to invest because this coin is still in top 20 so if you invest now you can make a profit if the price will going increase but not right now because the price of bitcoin is increasing.

I tell you what Skarner21 and I hope I am right but this is serious, if I am wrong there is still Prime coming for Gulden. I will keep my theory to myself incase I look like a idiot.

It was a nice run Gulden but we all know the roadmap was always fake to cause a pump. You did a couple easy updates and it worked well so congratulations to the team for making the bagholders rich.
Price is plummeting as the bagholders also realise 1.6.0 is horse shit!

LOLLOLOLOLOLOLOL Who is talking "Horse shit" now?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1577392.msg16753689#msg16753689

Add account... if this is what I think it is then take your time devs, you have already won... ok not too much time! Before December PLEASE!!!!!!!

What is the update on this project? Is it still on goin?

This team releases projects once every 2 months , In 2 days it's 2 months when the last project was finished. With the boost funding it will be out soon.

4 more days until the new release ?
214  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re:                              Gulden NLG                             100% funded! on: July 28, 2016, 08:03:54 AM
Any ETA when btc payment option will be added to the desktop wallets and when Prime development will continue?

For questions regarding ETA's we have a special channel at our Slack, but only available to shares.gulden.com funders.

Good you are still answering questions after the funding, I didn't fund because it's not possible to bring out updates faster. Adding bitcoin merchant payments to the desktop wallets looks to be taking 2 months, like it took for the Android and iOS wallets. Credit to the developers who did the Android and iOS wallets as they are better performing then any other ones I have used, including bitcoin!
215  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re:                              Gulden NLG                             100% funded! on: July 24, 2016, 10:47:34 AM
Development is unique here in cryptoland, Guldenteam has a bigger picture in mind for longterm. Shortterm there will be lots of incoming interest soon, i think, with the upcoming updates. Development is already funded: https://developer.gulden.com/roadmap/

For people that don't know yet:
Userfriendly apps to pay with Gulden at all Gulden- and bitcoin stores. Also wire tranfer possible to IBAN. All paying in an instant.
No other coin has all this in 1 app and it will even get better.

Lol, what a non-discussion about Poloniex. Most of coins listed there that haven't even good android and iOS-apps. Guldenapps are unique already and will even get better. Gulden offers users userfriendly things for real life use, not just for getting listed on exchanges for hyping or just for traders sake.Says enough what Poloniex is about: they don't like real innovation, probably are misinformed about Gulden or they are not fully aware what is going on here. Or maybe cryptocompetitors or the crypto inner circle don't want to get Gulden listed. Strange indeed. Poloniex will come by itself in time to add, i think or maybe they never will, then it says enough Wink You can always send them a request.
Place to go for now is bittrex: https://bittrex.com/Market/Index?MarketName=BTC-NLG or https://nocks.co/ to get your Gulden.

The development team look to be doing a update every 2 months from the start of the year, my guess is end of August for the wallet update and if I take another guess it's adding btc payments to the wallets to have it on all wallets. This is going to be cool.

End of October for the whitepaper project. Happy days!

The funding was never to speed up development but to stop the developers from running off. Dump every 2 months at the top and buy back low.
216  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re:                              Gulden NLG                             100% funded! on: July 06, 2016, 02:51:23 PM
Technical graphs looking very positive for Gulden the last 48 hours. Good chance for more bullish movement.

Congratulations on completing the funding.

Slow move up, looks to be holding.

Price won't hold. It's moved up too fast and it always comes crashing down. I sold out on the way up but waiting for 300-350 to get back in.

There is something very different about this rise in price, very different. It's not a pump , it's an adjustment to the norm. You are going to have to be patient to see sub 350 prices if at all.

Only 5 btc to 350sat. I will wait. Wink

The next update is a waste of time but the Prime I update is what will create a spike in price. Good time to collect coins before the boring update ahead.

Dear Gulden friends, marketinggods, investors, trolls and other kiddos,

This is new: Gulden.com

Cheers!

Oh and not sure if I mentioned this already but you are missing out, all the cool kids are on Slack, join at https://gulden.com. We do have some wallflowers and our kickout ratio is only 7/10, so don't be afraid.

The site is a welcome change.

Any ideas when we can expect the next version of the QT wallets 1.5.6? Must be a large update with the time it's taken from the previous release, is there details I can read up about the changes?

Why not do a crowdfunding for a new forum? .5 btc for a person to build a new forum for Gulden and another btc to maintain for a year ?

I can setup a forum for 1.5btc. I will hand it over to the dev team when completed.

Not this again!  Roll Eyes

The official forum https://community.gulden.com is just fine.
Probably just expiring some down time.

Yes!  Grin

It's just fine as it is. I only read the forum I don't care to post.
All forums expiring down time. Dev team will make a plan.

And you can off course  take a look at this community forum https://www.guldenforum.nl/

This is the developers forum that is down , DDoS attack?

Forum 3 , Gulden Team 0.

Strike 3 and the forum is out.
219  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re:                              Gulden NLG                              DELTA PRIME on: May 24, 2016, 06:53:52 PM
I am not convinced your team can complete the roadmap presented in 2016. Lets look at some facts here, 2 projects released in 5 months and you expect to do another 6 in 7 months? Not going to happen and I will bet 50 000 NLG on it.

With respect I don't think you have the information required to even begin to make a wild guess at how long it will take to do any of the projects involved.

Programming projects progress in man hours, they are not all equal, just because a specific project took '3 months' does not then mean that every project must now take 3 months. How many man hours is project Q going to take in relation to initial iOS or Android implementations? How can you possibly even pretend to know the answer to that if you don't even know what Project Q is so even if you had the development knowledge necessary to gauge such things you wouldn't be able too. Could it be that maybe Android and iOS combined are actually bigger projects in terms of man hours than most of the other projects combined?
The truth is as an external observer you have absolutely no idea, only those immediately involved in the development process can know this.

How many man hours did I put into iOS or Android? Was I working on them non stop for 3 months each? Or was I working on them only after hours? 4 hours a day or 1 hour a day? Or maybe I was working on them only on weekends? Maybe only on alternate weekends?
Maybe I didn't work on them at all for 2 months and then did all the work in 2 weeks?
The truth is as an external observer you have absolutely no idea, only those immediately involved in the development process can know this.

How was my availability at the start of the year? Was I maybe preoccupied with a once off life event like a wedding, something that my wife and I have been waiting 11 years to have? Could I maybe have more hours available in the latter half of the year in which I don't have any such events? Are there maybe other factors that affect man hours that are/aren't available for certain projects?
Could it be that maybe I have double or triple the amount of hours available in the second half of the ear that I did in the first half of the year?
The truth is as an external observer you have absolutely no idea, only those immediately involved in the development process can know this.

So certainly you are entitled to your opinion and can believe whatever you want to, you are welcome to your scepticism, but I myself don't think you have enough information to be saying anything at all about the matter with any conviction and that an opinion that is not based on fact is not one to which I personally would give much weight.
I think the developers - who are actually involved in the process and therefore have the necessary knowledge required to make such calls are in a better position to give a roadmap (which by the way - a roadmap is meant to represent goals and not strict deadlines) than anyone else.

These don't look like simple projects on the Roadmap, when I first viewed the Roadmap I thought it was for 2016 and 2017. You are one special developer if you can fit this all in for 2016. I certainly hope you do but I have my doubts.

Please don't see this as an attack on your work which has been top quality to date.
