The price will be hyped by incoming halving well before the halving will actually happen. In March-May I think. After the halving happens the price will not increase and very likely drop. Of course it will grow again in end of 2016.
The halving effect has probably been incorporated already. Why would anybody wait till March, if they think the price is going to go up around that time. Because that's how it works You can look at Litecoin last halving if you want to know what will happen.

And if, for the same amount, you had bought ETH directly how much would you be in profit ? The right answer is : A LOT more. Let's be honest : Genesis Mining didn't do a good job for you, the ETH bubble did. They aren't just promoting bitcoin. They are promoting their website and their "life-time" contracts. The only problem is you mathematicaly can't ROI with it. So I guess they are not doing such a good promotion job if the only aim is to scam new users and convince them to buy unprofitable contracts. + As I said in my own scam accusation thread : You are advertising so much for them on the forum I'm quite sure you are part of their team or paid by them to do so.

Thank you for the screenshot.
Damn that's a huge amount to lose. I hope he didn't need it too much.. but let's be honest : he deserved to lose. Losing 5 times in a row happens A LOT. Being wiser he could make a lot of money than just throwing big amount away like this.

Thank you! for this thread, you just saved me from purchasing a Contract from them. I was going to purchase one of their Plans (ETH Mining) but I couldn't understand the 10000 GH/s Mining - so I PMed them here on Bitcointalk to get more details and information on how their Contracts work. But i have no response from them.
With all these warnings, I will not invest in ETH mining instead will wait for the dump. LOL!
You are welcome. I hope more potential customers like you will be able to see this thread. That's the only reason I did it :-) Yep! same here, i directly stepped in when the start offering Ethereum contracts and it pays well. Also the Dash advice GM give me i followed, resulting in profits.
It seems some people have real hate in there harts, i feel sorry for them.
Sorry to say so but you are so much promoting Genesis Mining on their thread that no body will really believe you outside of it right now. I don't know if they are paying you or if your maths are just really really bad. Be sure I don't have hate in my heart. I just see people losing money in this scam and that's unacceptable to me. It won't do any good to bitcoin reputation by the way. It looks like Genesis Mining is quickly losing control over its own thread.A majority of customers are now realizing what a huge scam it was and publicly complaigning. It looks like Genesis Mining can't delete negative posts anymore (because there are too much of them).

Though the bet ID was supposed to be 9,350,000,000 and on-wards, in the interest of the players, we will accept bet IDs from 9,300,000,000 onwards. Thanks Jerry (Primedice Promotion Ninja) Great Thank you

If you would have bought bitcoin on Dec 1, you could have turned your 719 USD into 1.90508996 bitcoins, which you could have used to buy 818.418469178656 ETH, which is worth at current prices over 8000 USD, so I would say that they have been pretty shitty to you.
Thank you Phildo. Reading his post I wanted to make the calculation but you already did it (+ yeah newbie account reacting here looks quite suspicious to me...)

Hello I can't access Betcoin.ag site right now. I'm receiving this error message: Error The website encountered an unexpected error. Please try again later. Error message PDOException: SQLSTATE[HY000] [1129] Host 'prd-web-01.local' is blocked because of many connection errors; unblock with 'mysqladmin flush-hosts' in lock_may_be_available() (line 167 of /var/www/betcoin.ag/html/includes/lock.inc).
Anyone else have the same problem? Any update when problem will be resolved?
Just give them a little more time. I'm sure they will fix it as soon as possible. I withdrew this morning and didn't receive any payment in my wallet. I guess it's probably linked with the general issue the site is facing. Let's be patient guys :-) EDIT : Received my money Thx !

Username: Randall Bet ID: 9,344,998,793 Sr.Member with sig and avatar. I accidentally bet 0.03 instead of 0.025, but I know the cashback limit for me is 0.025. (my bad) Fuck my life I wasted 0.03 for nothing, I thought it was 9.3mil+ not 9.35+. Goddamnit. No you were right Randall. it was 9.3mil+ but they changed it when they edited the post. I hope thwy will change their mind for us.

First time I saw that thread the date was wrong and couple minutes after it stunna corrected it but it looks weird since I thought he changed this sentence aswell : Only bets from 9,350,000,000 will count toward this promotion. When first time I read it, I think it was : Only bets from 9,300,000,000 will count toward this promotion. Is that right(stunna changed the min bet id) or I was misreading? Thanks! I think it was 9,300,000,000 before editing too. I may be wrong though but if it was then it is quite unfair for those who made bets before the edit. Yes. And first posters (like me) are discalified if you change the bet numbers allowed. It's unfair. Please edit it again the way it was at beginning. Thank you.

"Only bets from 9,350,000,000 will count toward this promotion."
Was that edited? I think it was 9,300,000,000 at the time it was first posted. Yeah OP post has been edited. That's not fair for the first posters. I won't lose a second time just because you edited your post OP. My first post should be qualified. Could you please edit back the bet numbers they way it was ? Thank you.

I am wondering if Bitcoin gradually ceases to be relevant…
You'll stop wondering when Etherium bubble pops. If the Ethereum price stays about 0.02 for the next 6 months, will people still think it is a bubble? Let's wait 6 month then. I bought a few ETH just in case :-P But I also believe the bubble will pops soon or later.

Don't panic guys. There is a stress attack going on the network right now. But your transactions will confirm soon or later. Some guys are sending hundreds of small transactions, ruining the network efficiency.
Rising the fee is a good idea. It had to be done. I personnally raised my fees from 0.0001 to 0.00015 a few days ago.
It looks like it's enough.

Come on. Everybody does it. Business is business.
Is it more ethical to pay for Sig campaign ? Neither of it is really ethical. It's just communication and promotion. And everybody is aware of it.
And to be perfectly honest : as long as their service is good and legit I don't mind if people are paid to make a good review. I gave their site a try and it's really good (I tested the poker tournaments).

A few but useful advices :
1 : Get a collateral. Otherwise, soon or later, you will lose big. And your loss will probably cover your profits (you will need 10 successful loans to cover 1 unsuccessful)
2 : Before lending : Check the last posts of the user :
a) If he posted several loan demands it's strange b) If he tried to sell his accounts it's not a good sign either c) Tries to guess why he is asking for a loan : if he spend a lot of time in the gambling section, he is probably asking for gambling. Just be aware of it.
3 : Before lending : Check if the password of the borrower changed recently. If it did, ask for a signed message.
4 : Don't loan to red flags users ; Don't loan to newbie
5. For big amounts, it can be wise to do a $ loan. With bitcoin volatility you never know what can happen...

Again if I am off base here, or if someone has a law degree that would like to weigh in, don't hesitate to educate me. I have a feeling though that if I am right, and contractual obligations are not me by the Provider, being out thousands of dollars will not make me hesitate to contact agencies that cover fraud (Mt. Gox didn't get away with it, the blessing and curse of our government regulating Bitcoin). Very unfortunate that such a promising technology has to go through hurdles like this, it only hurts the system and everyone involved. Keep you guys posted as I said I would.
Unfortunately I don't have a law degree but you might be right. If it can give you one more weapon against them : I believe their lifetime contracts could be assimilited with what we call in french a "dol" ("wilful misrepresentation" in english?). It means : The seller who sells something knowing there is a hidden problem but not telling the buyer about it, "trapping" him with a misleading contract, is guilty of wilful misrepresentation and the contract can easily be cancelled in court. In my opinion 1) calling these contracts "lifetime" is already misleading for the buyers 2) Knowning customers won't ROI is definitely a wilful representation lol. They are selling it knowning it will be almost impossible for their customers to ROI. It will be interesting to see how they react against you because the amount of money involved in your case it quite high and they could be affraid you decide to sue them & contact fraude agencies. Good luck and keep us updated about what happens.

I would say Bitcoin or Blackcoin.
Blackcoin because it's one of the most efficient POS altcoin.
