Thank you for the excellent analysis. The price is really just simmering right now. It's also worth noting that that bump to almost 30 sats was based on us talking about our plans. A full relaunch with us making good on our promises is going to have a much more dramatic effect.

I'm just sorry that I ddin't mine more when it was slow and uncertain. I had my day 1 mined coins sitting on bittrex at the 'safe' price of 0.0001 and forgot about them. Kicking myself. Haha!

The lack of volume is because people are waiting to see what happens.

I promise, none of us working on this thing right now are dumping. None of us are using alt-names to push this coin. Why smear our reputations and not deliver? My advice to you, buy and hold, see what we deliver on, and you decide from there what you want to do. At the current price it doesn't exactly break the bank to buy up several thousand just to see what happens, you now?

Of course, if you want to really take part in making the coin a success, ideas, suggestions, and anything you can do to help is always appreciated. I really like the idea of being able to buy Breast Cancer Awareness stuff with PinkCoins, for example, and that wasn't our idea, that came from gdavis024. Thanks for that! EDIT: I just tracked down some of the dumping to twitter #PinkCoin. It seems there was a misunderstanding on the Multipool happening after Sonysasankan's post yesterday. We have the Multipool lined up, and the dev is willing to accept Pinkcoins for payment, but we need to build community support for one or it's just not going to help. How many coins flopped, got a multipool, and it just didn't help because nobody was interested in mining at it? We can't let that happen, as much as we love the coin.

Support for the Multipool is completely independent of the relaunch and everything we have prepped for it anyway. It would just be another great feather to have in our cap. You know guys?

Have you tried pausing folding on those cards, downclocking them a bit (50 mhz or so) and then folding again?

That's part of what's so awesome about this community;) We just randomly donate to PC addresses:) And heaven forbid you do something productive for PinkCoin! The guy that did our block explorer ended up with 3x the bounty we offered because everyone wanted to tip him for his work!

P.S. It wasn't me. This time.

There's actually fewer than 380M coins. That was more or less an estimate Bigman made when we hit POS/POW phase, because despite POW blocks being valid until block 20,000, it was 50/50 POW/POS from block 10,000 to 20,000, so only half the blocks were expected to be mined at the full value. It's worth noting that during the mining phase everyone thought there was going to be 500m coins, it didn't come out until later that there were far fewer.

Here are the only issues I can find:

Currently (as of writing) we are on block 76649 and there are 363,973,182 PC available. We're actually knocking out blocks about 2.5x faster than the quoted 1block/minute, which, while odd, isn't producing that many more coins. Comparing to the number of coins available now to the number there were at block 20,000 shows we're actually getting about 1.5% per year proof of stake.

There was a bit of an instamine where the first 500 blocks were mined in the first 13 minutes after launch by a handful of people. Looking through the addresses, it seems all those were dumped long ago.

When people started dumping and the dev didn't seem to be interested in doing anything with the coin (beyond occasionally taking part in things we were doing early on, something we encouraged. We wanted Bigman to stay on board, CryptoCayce gave him 500k pinkcoins as a thank you for creating the coin when he was getting more active again and helping.) We started a semi-community takeover, got a slick block explorer from fairglu (thanks again man!) and extremely generous faucet online (thanks for the help there Ghris and Altcoinfaucet!) and a solid OS X Wallet (Thanks W8!), but when Bigman flat out took the PinkCoin source offline last week and stopped responding to us we had to re-think things.

Since then we're on the verge of a full relaunch with a full fledged Breast Cancer Fundraiser, a new website, a new marketing campaign, a new everything. We've even got a multipool all lined up for us as soon as we can raise the 3m pinkcoins (We're almost halfway there in less than 24 hours!).  I'm actually just waiting to hear back from Sonysasankan before putting on some finishing touches then coordinating the relaunch with him. Hence: this is the best time to invest!

Also worth noting. I haven't exactly been sitting on my hands. Sony's been working hard trying to source a multipool Dev that can meet our needs and isn't just a front-end for a bitcoin multipool. We've finally found someone but we need your help!

As for me, I've been working on setting up my computer so I can build the qt wallets and verify that my copy of the code is intact (done), working on getting the public facing stuff ready for relaunch, and setting up our breast cancer fundraising campaign. All is due to be ready by the end of the week!

The only speed bump we're having is with the multipool, and for that, we need your help.

Even crazier. You can buy 16% of all logicoins currently in existance (395581.14299223 logicoins out of 2,446,450 to be exact as of a few minutes ago) off of poloniex for 27.43 btc. If you're feeling thrifty, you can have almost 7% for 8.2 btc.

It's somewhat annoying I guess, but they rank all coins low daily volume < $500 below coins with steady/high volume.

Now, all things being fair, and, you know, being the runner up and all, and in case there's any question about it, I vote that all the coins in the winners fund wallet be rewarded to whomever in the dev team actually created that logo:D The community voted for your logo, you deserve the coins, member of the dev team or not.

A little surprised actually. They busted their necks on the hardest part, most people did get their coins, sure there's still a lot of work for them but that's easy street compared to how much work they put into the distribution.

I like the idea, but all things being average - it's more like 1 produced CureCoin represents 24,000 curecoin points - because Miners get 1/5th of the coins that are produced each day (or, more accurately, 4x the expected mined coins per day (7844) is dispersed and divided among folders daily.)

This still doesn't account for the the investor coins that, while their owners all seem to be honorable and reasonable people and I respect the need for their existence, do represent the overwhelming majority of coins available for circulation, and will actually constitute > 50% of coins for about 2 months.

Don't get me wrong, it's a brilliant marketing strategy, and I am 110% for CureCoin and desperately want it to succeed. I'm just concerned that such a marketing tactic could backfire if it was employed in the short term, while there's still such a small portion of available coins that were obtained by folding.
