Prices of LGC is about to drop because of the blackcoinpool! most likely they will dump everything to pay out their users. damn....
They still have more than 23k LGC, and they're making up more than 70% of the LGC hashrate, so they'll dump again soonish. Best protection would probably be a new custom hashing algorithm, rather than halving: just throw in an extra stage of anything in the PoW hash, that'll be enough to not be vanilla X11, and enough to prevent inclusion in multipools. On the downside, it'll also require custom miners & stratum. That said, with more than 400k LGC on sale at poloniEx, there is quite some pressure anyway. How come I'm still seeing 50 block reward. shouldn't it be 25 now? halving didn't happen? We're close, but not there yet. Block 43200 is last 50 coin block. We're at 42891 as of a few seconds ago.

that only effects the user of the exploit relative to other miners in the same pool. basically, all of the other miners in the pool would do all the real work but, the one using the exploit would get all the credit. it doesn't cause the block to be solved any faster or effect the overall nethash. talesfromthescrypt.org had this problem when logicoin first launched. one guy was getting 97% of the block reward. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=567114.msg6287887#msg6287887last i heard, only mpos pools are vulnerable. also, i noticed you like to share this fud alot. My guess is we got bit by some new x11 multipool.

I've decided that I would like to give Pinkcoin a boost in the right direction and want to donate 3,000,000 of my own Pinkcoin to help Pinkcoin incentivize the right people to work on our behalf for the greater good of Pinkcoin. Full Time Community Manager- 1 Million Pinkcoin Full Time Multi pool developer and manager- 1 Million Pinkcoin Other Positions Needed TBD- share of 1,000,000 Pinkcoin
Please send all requests, applications, and inquiries to pinkcoinfoundation@gmail.comif you would like to be apart of the process of selecting please PM me and tell me why you should have a say in hiring, additionally send me your wallet address so that I know you have a stake in pinkcoin. Additionally since I am not the greatest at managing and segregating funds from my own wallet I would like to invite sonysasankan to hold the bounty fund (my 1.2 million PC+ your 200k - the 200k paid out to fairglu for block explorer= 1,200,000 PC) let me know where to send it So 0.20BTC or $100 to be a full time community Manager.... Only 28k market cap right now. 100 bucks will buy a small fraction of 1m if we can get some real buzz and a multipool going. Plus this is just from one of us. I think we've shown ourselves to be a pretty generous bunch. Have a look at the rich list. 3m is a huge amount for any one person to front.

Pinkcoin Blockchain Explorer up and running! Actually it has been up and running since yesterday evening. This is the first POS coin I'm hosting, and it's new tech, unrelated to ABE or other explorer, so there may be POS-related quirks. I'll also about adapting the UI to be more POS-friendly (things like extraction & difficulty aren't too relevant, not in the same way anyway as for POW cryptos, so suggestions are welcome) Tips & Bounties appreciated at PWPtTNbP3KYiofkLriupCNhLpRtw4siZPQ Note: the performance issues I had with RPC went away once the explorer caught up with the POS blocks. The explorer, the client daemon was synchronized much earlier, FWIW during the synchronization, the explorer just pounds the RPC interface with queries as fast as the client daemon accepts them. The issues were when querying blocks & transactions from the POW stage. Sent 100k! Tx c29d1c653fa66fc15000aa7a5cd96a75fd9339b75411a7272f06763b4f7cd968

I have been talking with fairglu and he is working on creating a block explorer for us. he has run into an issue that we are trying to resolve, I will post it here in case anyone may be able to assist him:
PM from fairglu:
I've compiled the client, but I'm having some difficulties with the RPC call interface, which regularly becomes unresponsive for several minutes.
I've tried to set "gen=0" in the .conf file just in case, but that didn't improve things (the explorer is using a client with an empty wallet, so no POS handling is required)
Stopping and restarting pinkcoind "restores" the RPC interface in a working state for a minute or so.
Any other ideas?
Perhaps Bigman or anyone else with coding experience and block chains candidates provide some help.
That's really weird, if there was a problem with the RPC system wouldn't pools be experiencing the same prob? I noticed it hanging up while the block chain was updating, setting server=1 daemon=1 might have helped too. Can't check right now as I'm on my phone and can't really access my server to check.

20 years from now people are going to go hunting through old flash drives and hard drives hoping to find the lost treasures. Discovery will host a TV show about it. Lol.

Mined bitcoin on many different computers in late '11 plus what I managed to grab off faucets - when I randomly stumbled across people online chatting about the bitcoin crash from about $15, it was lingering around $5 each at the time, and I got interested. I'm sure I have a wallet in an old broken hard drive I can't find anymore.
What coins I had online were on vircurex as litecoins. Had 127. Totally forgot about them til the first boom early last year. Sold them into bitcoin, got just over 2btc for them. Woohoo. Litecoin boomed. Total facepalm. Spent a bitcoin playing poker on seals with clubs. The other one I bought up a bunch of PPC - 800 or so. Then there was the TRC boom, when it went 10x, and PPC took a nosedive.
I know I bought a lot of liquidcoin. I'm not sure if it was after that or not. I might have converted back to btc and blown it gambling, I don't remember. Real life kinda happened. I do know I didn't have anything left by the time I came back to vircurex. Had 0.09 in a blockchain.info account wallet, randomly.
So yeah. I was there, letting the whole silly thing slip through my fingers.

FWIW to anyone interested. I've been back and forth over the code and the block-chain until I can't read it anymore. I can't find anything seriously dodgy, there was a bit of an insta-mine pre block 300, but I think those coins were long ago traded. If anyone can find anything, please, by all means, post and bring it to our attention. And I'm still anxiously awaiting a good old fashioned trudge through a block explorer As for dumping, I daresay, I think the dumpers are done, and those of us still here are here for the long haul. Looking forward to seeing things take shape around here, and I toast you - the PinkCoin community!

Is there a block explorer?
where to verify how much in circulation?
No block explorer yet. Need someone to get on that asap. At the moment the simplest place to check supply is in the wallet itself. Help>Debug Window>enter "getinfo" - it shows up under moneysupply. Don't have access to my wallet right now, but last I checked it was in the 363m territory.

Im willing to put in 200k PC to add to the bounty pool required for Pink Coin to fly. Can any senior member or someone with a good standing come forward to hold the bounty address (kinda like an escrow)? If no one's bothering, I'm willing to do so if the community is agreeing to place that trust. To my credit I made the PC logo Whatever needs to be done, needs to be done fast. Its easier to keep a dying coin alive than to revive a dead one. Information needs to be constantly pumped out. Curiosity needs to be generated, and the fact that its no longer mineable anymore needs to hit them like a brick wall. I could get behind you as the bounty wallet holder. You're pretty active, been around long enough, and you have an artistic stake in this coin on top of the coins themselves.

Hi guys, so which is the final total amount of the coins? 10 m or 100 m? In Op there is 100M... is it right?
The final amount of POW coins is gonna be a little less than 100m because of the POS blocks woven in. Currently there are 82120089.56237756 coins. You can check anytime you want by going into the wallet > Help > Debug Window > Enter 'getinfo' Current total of coins is listed by 'moneysupply' you are right 82120089coins Course that was as of block 4108. We're at 4223 and 82690161.51154134 coins as of this post. Best wait until block 6k when POW stops to call a tally.
