Either the network/nxt itself can care of or this will fail. - agree. but if we want more nodes, and people can not create new ones because it has no budget .. how do we support the Nxt ? - I am sure, the forging itself must bring an interest (a fee) for nodes' owners. Now it is a very small amount, but when there are hundreds of tx in each block, it would be a good sum. Currently, you are right, donations like peerexplorer.com are highly welcome in order to support nodes' owners. But it can not lasts long. |

If you have your node running, but don't have any NXT, you are not securing the blockchain.
This is why the NXTcoins will payout dividends in NXT. for a signing bonus, I will probably just seed every miner with 1 NXT James, please do not build upon false statements. ? What false statements. No, penalizing isn't part of TF. - yes, penalizing is a key part of TF: ...Imagine someone is going to do a "51%" attack against Nxt and he owns 90% of all coins. The adversary must stop generating blocks for legit branch coz he won't be able to compete against 100% mining power with his 90%. So he decides to "skip" his turn to generate a block. The rest 10% of the network detects this and penalizes the adversary by setting his mining power to 0 and distributing it among other miners.

Well, I can answer only for myself: copyright and copyleft'd die in hell, information belongs to nobody, humanity knowledge'd be free to access along with human right to keep secrets  So far not so much people'll agree with me, but I won't give up. But its nice to compensate people when they do something worth,at least to motivate them to carry on doing more things. Donations and request for paying for access (concerts, subscriptions, lectures and so on) can be used as reward for ideas/content generators. - and morphers says exactly about a small fee for acces to the artwork (not just information or idea). You want a free content.. good luck. But the autor of the artwork wants (and deserves) a small compensations for his work. It would be wonderful, if Nxt could help with this. |

экспериментальная версия 0.8.1eТеперь Nxt-серверы с динамическими IP не только обращаются к другим нодам (как было раньше), но и те, в свою очередь, будут запоминать текущий IP сервера, и обращаться по нему. Но это будет работать, только если вы на своём роутере настроили порт-форвардинг. Если вы не хотите его настраивать, т.е. не хотите получать входящие запросы от других нод, то тогда установите nxt.shareMyAddress=false, так что p2p-сервер даже не будет запускаться (на порту 7874). Также в NRS web-клиенте (включая admin.html, message.html, alias.html) все команды GET заменены на POST, чтобы не оставлять следов (парольных фраз) в браузерной истории. |

IMO, forging is fine. In the future, there will be supernodes (service providers) that are basically be high-bandwidth pools people can lend their stake to. This won't be a problem of centralization, because NXT is resistant even against 90% attacks. So unless 1 single pool gets that much forging power, we will be fine. These high-bandwidth pools can support 1000+ TPS easily.

- да, есть намерение реализовать концепцию zerocoin в Nxt, проект называется NxtCash. Изначально (в апреле 2013 года) zerocoin был никаким не "коином", а предложением по модификации биткоин-протокола таким образом, чтобы обеспечить анонимность платежей, т.е. чтобы было непонятно чьи именно монеты пришли на тот или иной адрес, подробнее на русском здесь: http://www.xakep.ru/post/60440/. Однако это предложение не нашло поддержки у Bitcoin Foundation, которая взяла курс на сотрудничество с правительствами (в первую очередь, США). Впоследствии концепция была доработана, и получила название Zerocash. UI и API могут на своих портах работать как по http, так и по https, но не одновременно: There is no way currently to have both http and https supported at the same time, but
this can be added, I just didn't see the need for it. |

Как то странно, что здесь напутано? у меня под 0.8.0е стартует, как у rdanneskjoldr, только вот этот вариант: http: //127.0.0.1:7875/ http: //localhost:7875/ остальные выдают ошибку. - пару страниц назад отвечал. |

Кстати, этот новый (экспериментальный) сервер 0.8.0e успешно работает на 512Мб VPS-е (версия 0.7.6 на такой памяти у меня вылетала каждые 10 минут, пришлось увеличить до 1Гб, а это уже 10$/мес. вместо 5$). Думаю, что это благодаря возможности выставить объём памяти для кэша базы данных - параметр nxt.dbCacheKB , по умолчанию он равен 0, что отдаёт под кэш половину доступной памяти (как и в версии 0.7.6). С таким параметром на моих 512-ти Мб версия 0.8.0e даже не стратует. Но если указать в этом параметре 128000 (т.е. ~128Мб), то сервер работает нормально. Более того, вначале по ошибке я указал nxt.dbCacheKB=192 (т.е. 0.192Мб), и ничего, сервер тоже отлично работал почти сутки, только вначале сканирование блокчейна заняло на несколько секунд побольше.. Какой-то кудесник, этот Жан-Люк.
