Думаю, что совершенно некорректно сравнивать кражу битков с Гокса с нынешней кражей некстов с Бтера. Там-то процесс происходил достаточно долго (и никто не замечал), и идентифицировать все "плохие" трансакции со стопроцентной точностью вряд-ли вообще возможно. Т.е., там сделать "откат" была бы неподъёмная задача чисто технически. Поэтому аргумент "вы тут обсуждаете реорг, а после Гокса никто даже и не заикнулся" меня несколько напрягает.
- именно, чисто технически. В биткоине нет скользящего 720-ти блокового окна возможной реорганизации. Там можно было бы делать только откат, т.е. хардверно программировать некий чекпойн, после которого все транзакции бы потерялись (в отличие от Некста). К тому же в случаях Силкроада-2 и т.п. суммы кражи были гооораздо меньше 5% всех монет, в том числе и поэтому майнеры бы не установили эту версию bitcoin-qt. |

CfB опубликовал "послесловие" к несостоявшейся реорганизации последних блоков блокчейна: Прежде всего, с технической точки зрения, это не была попытка отката (rollback). По справедливости это следует называть "реорганизацией блокчейна", потому, что протокол Nxt допускает реорганизацию последних 720-блоков (тролли и Nxt-ненавистники, естественно, вольны называть это "откатом").
Реорганизация безопасна для сети, поскольку она не отменяет законные транзакции, все они были бы подтверждены в первых реорганизованных блоках (что неудивительно, поскольку числа - 24 часа действия транзакции и 720 блоков допустимая глубина реорганизации - были намеренно выбраны BCNext-ом).
Большая часть форжеров (считая по величине стейков) решила не заморачиваться с реорганизацией. Исходя из форжинговой сложности в двух форках, я бы сказал, что таких было более 2/3.
Если бы кумулятивная сложность новой ветки превысила старую, то все ноды без проблем приняли бы новую ветку.
В будущем благодаря 90% защите от атак даже 720-ти блоковое окно будет убрано, т.е. насладиться подобным шоу будет невозможно.
Это, конечно, наглость с моей стороны - вклиниваться после слов C-f-B, но я всё же выскажу своё мнение, не о технической стороне попытки реорганизации, а о морально-этической. Совершенно ясно, что Nxt-сообщество действиями хакера было поставлено в положение выбора из двух зол - одно хуже другого. Естественно, многие криптоанархисты старались быть святее папы римского. Но криптоплатформа Nxt включает в себя не только протокол и блокчейн. Это также сообщество людей, и сервисов. И люди даже в условиях анархии (скажем, на диком Западе) объединяются для защиты своих интересов на своей территории. Если судом линча не вздёрнуть на дереве подонка, то завтра он (или другой, чувствующий безнаказанность подонок) изнасилует очередную женщину. И никакие анархисты (и даже шерифы) не могут удержать толпу (если, конечно, соберётся серьёзная толпа) от суда Линча. И постепенно на ту территорию, где экстраординарные мерзости наказываются, пусть даже судом Линча, подонки перестают соваться, и начинает приходить нормальный бизнес. Несмотря на ханжеские восклицания поборников сферической справедливости в вакууме: "Ой, да там же белые линчуют негров.. это же так некомильфо..". Иными словами, суд Линча - это высшая форма анархии. |

Это было предложение форжерам (являющимся основой PoS) в рамках протокола (в рамках возможности реорганизации блокчейна на глубину не более 720 блоков - этакий скользящий, децентрализованный чекпойнт) поддержать своими стейками (или не поддержать) реорганизацию блокчейна: ... the key point is that we tried to do a chain reorg, not a rollback. That's what 720 blocks were about.

Время на ввод-вывод коинов 1-20 минут (более 5 минут не встречал)
- только не надо рассказывать сказки. На BTer, бывало, нексты депозитились сутками, и то после нескольких писем в их техподдержку. Я уж молчу про DGex, где несколько суток на ввод, и ещё больше суток на вывод - это норма. Так что не надо винить пользователей в лености. Это их попытки оптимизации в условиях диктата бирж. |
