2001  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANN: BITMAIN has Tested Its 28nm Bitcoin Mining Chip BM1382 on: June 20, 2014, 07:49:16 PM
First batch will be to TEST THE GROUND.They know after s1 success s3 might be another game changer.

But again, we have BTC and they don't so price is really in our hands.
if price will be acceptable they will leave it at the high level.
If not and people will not buy s3 they will wait and drop the price accordingly to end user happiness.

My guess is that they had s3 project long before s2 but no chips so they was waiting.

s1 is bulletproof and anyone can say that. So why not create again s1 in skin of s3?

First batch will be a test which will finish really quick.
But if any of us want low price just stick to the price you ready to pay and watch how your order will fulfill.

2002  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANN: BITMAIN has Tested Its 28nm Bitcoin Mining Chip BM1382 on: June 20, 2014, 11:58:34 AM
I don't understand all the love you guys show for Bitmain. Yes, they have delivered. No, their price has been reasonable, but not good for us miners. Most likely, they are going to price S3 at over 1 BTC, I'd say around 1.6 BTC or so. Why would they undercut their S2 models by selling S3 at 1 BTC or lower? It makes no sense. Don't be a fanboi.

They are abandoning the S2 model.. that's why.  Going to a new chip.

S2 was mistake.  If you compare s1(how they were build) to s2 you can clearly see that s2 was just done in rush. They realise that it's not even near of s1 so they abandoned that. upgrade kit probably will be a new hashing cards with new chip.
2003  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANN: BITMAIN has Tested Its 28nm Bitcoin Mining Chip BM1382 on: June 19, 2014, 07:24:18 PM
whats the s1 upgrade?

I am also VERY curious about this..

It will come down to how hard it is for me to do, if I have to solder I'll just sell my S1's I think.  I cannot see how else I would upgrade it Sad.

Its speculation but maybe they will sell upgrade boards(higher ghash) to existing units and control boards?

Got thE message about RMA for bitmain and claim that they asking to mark this as 10$ part.

Bitmain if you reading this-don't behave like spoiled kid. If you putting EU customers on landmine of extra costs because of your description on the box don't expect anything different back from customers.

I wonder what happened to "GAME GATEWAY" and silly 20£ per box?

Why Bitmain changed that for EU customers?

Not trolling but for all s1 extra charges for UPS probably i would have another 10 s1 or more.

Funny is that when price per s1 dropped charge by UPS didnt.

They doing what they want.

Talk about spoiled kids, whining because a company wont lie so you can cheat yourself out of paying what you are suppose to.

Really? Where are you live? USA? EU?

Maybe for you is ok to pay for unit or two. But some of us paid for 20+ units.

How this works for you? I cant ask for undervalue my units and call it server or pc parts but BITMAIN  due to RMA doing this and he is ok?

Dont be idiot and read before posting.

And by looking at your post count and type of posts i can say you just here to troll. Are you actually customer who had at least one unit from bitmain?

What's frustrating, is if any of you have ever dealt with a Bitmain return... They ask you to declare at $10 and label as 'computer gateway', so they don't have to pay import tax their end, but expect us to pay full whack. I know they're one of the best ASIC manufacturers around, but c'mon, need to declare the value lower!

really? I don't want to troll but can you post part of email or something to show that actually bitmain asking to declare this return as "10$ gateway"?

2008  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANN: BITMAIN has Tested Its 28nm Bitcoin Mining Chip BM1382 on: June 18, 2014, 08:35:19 PM
Just thinking about this sale.

Do you guys remember s2 first batch?
All people will jump s3 first batch to have as first. I will wait and will see.

All factors as :

-ups charge for delivery this babys(customs)
-how easy its going to be to set them up(s2 issues with sd card etc.)
-how easy will be to overclock them(first s1 and second s2 -a bit different devices)

need to be taken in account, bitmain is not stupid. but could be big NO NO if this will be something similar to s2 test on users.

I'm big fan of bitmain but people are blind with those "SALES".

Asics are massive overpriced. Just check price drops on s1 when people stoped buying at some point.

Later they introduced transferable coupons to open sales for even more people. Than MOQ2  so they can save on postage.

All this was smart move and s3 will not be different.

You can start by buying some bitcoins and buying some hardware. Period. No one will loan/lend anything to you.

Try more clear...

Surely this mean that any item sold with Paypal can be charged back no matter what it is??

yep. even better. even item delivered but buyer claim difference between item and description is enough to get money back.

easiest way...stay away from payhell.

Surely there must be an easy to produce item that cant be claimed back.

Like asking for a plain white png image 500x500, and a proved received confirmation of the image, with a description.

anyone can claim damage to item in transit.  money will still be returned. payhell sucks big time. stay away.

With all know alot of the problems with selling straight BTC with Paypal.

Is its possible to sell BTC with Paypal by providing a services or a simple proven exchange of goods.

Lets say I draw a crude picture for the buyer and he receives it in a proven manager, so goods have been delivered and money received, then BTC sent.

Would this stop people charging back their money after receiving BTC because they have received the goods ("the picture") and in Paypal terms they cant charge back if the buyer receives the items they expected?

this would have been nice. But in theory everything is nice sorry but with paypal it's not going to work.  They don't care about sellers.

even though you provide tracking details they still will allow to charge back.  Charge back is made by cc not paypal itself.  so paypal can't say shit if bank claiming money back.
2019  Economy / Economics / Re: eBay to allow settlements in crypto on: June 15, 2014, 09:00:21 AM
Easy way to use crypto on ebay:

List and item>use nice description mentioning crypto as payment>put price lower due to lack of use for paypal>Profit.

Most people who bought stuff from me are happy to pay in BTC or bank trnasfer because my price is way better than others.
Ofcourse sometimes there will be an asshole who trying to tell me where is my place but most of the time i have no issues what so ever.
2020  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Wallet for Android / Re: Lost bitcoin at night while phone was swithed off. on: June 14, 2014, 08:55:05 PM

Thanks, very interesting TX.

#1 it is in 2 blocks, so it was included in an now orphaned block maybe thats why you got something back? Maybe they TX changed in those few minutes?
#2 it was made with the blockchain.info online wallet - so someone else defintly had your private keys for the used addresses
#3 it looks like the attacker used the shared coin service from blockchain.info the hide themself. Do all of the input addresses belong to you? If not shared coin was definitly used.

As much as i want to understand what happened this looks more suspicious.
I did checked all them transactions and input seems all mine.
