2001  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Introduction to DualMiner USB (could mine both BTC and LTC) on: February 17, 2014, 07:13:54 PM

Ah ok I did not know that.

He doesn't have anything better to do so he just attacks various threads with Tabloid type information. Best to use the Ignore function.

Is this good or bad?
It's a lot of info but I am not sure what to make of it.
2002  Economy / Goods / Re: (Closed) For Sale or Trade Motorola Droid 1 on: February 17, 2014, 06:36:29 PM

2003  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Closed - Group Buy]Dualminer USB ASIC sha/scrypt miner $85 [USA Only][Batch #2] on: February 17, 2014, 06:21:06 PM
What are you getting with 775?
I used 850 and get about 89kh/s LTC only mode.

Yeah i do not use there GUI interface, but you have to use their version of cgminer with the -S commands

MY BTC.BAT  for 7 miners

cgminer.exe --dualminer-pll 600 --dualminer-btc 64 --per-device-stats -o stratum+tcp://mybtcminingpool:port -u myworkername -p mypassword -S //./COM35 -S //./COM37 -S //./COM39 -S //./COM41 -S //./COM43 -S //./COM33 -S //./COM45

when i set my PLL to 800,850,or even 900 my WU rate is too low.. maybe i need to go lower

EDIT: PLL 775 looks like a winner

What is the main reason for the fork??
I don't see much information on it.

Apparently there's been a fork in the blockchain.. Are we on the correct chain? Our net hashrate, difficulty and current block number differ from other pools, namely SuchCoins and Dogehouse.

That's what I'm doing.
No reason to panic just like anything it will have it's problems and ups and downs.

Yep. Keep calm and mine on.
2007  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Which mining hardware company will win on: February 17, 2014, 05:17:39 PM
You are totally correct there.
It is unfortunate.
I was reading a group buy recently and saw that several people who had supposedly purchased new miners from the manufacture said they were full of dust and looked used not new at all.
That is one crappy part of it all.  Build and use the gear to mine then sell at a premium to people and call it new because it had not actually left the facility before then.

Hopefully not company outright wins.
The more companies making gear the better as it will help drop prices a bit if there are many viable, in stock options to choose from.
Then we all win.

Unfortunately no company seems to be willing to sell hardware at a pricepoint where you can mine more BTC that you could have bought directly.  It would be in their interest to mine with the hardware instead of collecting presales in BTC.

Thank you so much I appreciate it so much.
With your trading skills I should give you some to invest and have you trade it and grow it for me.  Hopefully I when I get enough to make it worth doing.

I hope you are doing ok.

My doctor told me today she thinks she sees more damage in the xrays.  Tomorrow I get more tests and see my surgeon and Wednesday as well.
I hope they figure it out soon I am so exhausted and hurting.  It feels like a vicious cycle.
My wife was crying last night because I was having spasms that were bending me backwards and making me cry.  She is so worried.  I don't know how to console her when I can't even do it for myself.

On a good note my daughter was in bed with us for a little while this morning.  She curled up at my side and had me read to her for over and hour.  I love that.  She is such a sweetling.

I wish everyone a happy day and thanks for the help and encouragement it means so much too me.

Sorry for the Delay my friend I sent some to your BTC Tip Jar now.

Will send more soon hang in there dude Smiley
2009  Other / Off-topic / Re: Terrible Day on: February 17, 2014, 05:03:22 PM
Thanks and I am looking forward to better days.  Today has been rough so far I cannot walk far and have to have help to the bathroom.  Very humiliating.
Tomorrow and Wednesday I have appointments with my surgeon and tests.  This morning my primary care doctor said it did not look good she thinks I have more damage.

I am not good at trading but I try.  I don't have much to trade with anyways but I have some on Bter and cryptsy.  I keep thinking I need to invest in a bot to do some trading for me but with .01 BTC to my name it's not worth it.  LOL

Thanks again I appreciate it.  Smiley

Wow bummer man, that's pretty shitty. But it can't be bad all the time. You'll pull through. Sunnier days are ahead. In the meanwhile, focus on getting better. On the flip side, you could stare at btc charts all day like me and make buy/sell orders when you're incapacitated  Wink
2010  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: MultiMiner Remoting & MobileMiner: Your rigs. Your coins. Your pools. Your way. on: February 17, 2014, 04:58:38 PM
I cannot mine Vert with it either.  I think you have to use Verts own mining software for now.

Is it compatible with vertminer?
I tried to install vertminer under the bfgminer repository in multiminer and renaming the vertminer executable in bfgminer but it doesn't work (I can't scan the devices). I thought we could choose the miner engine?
I used it with linux bamt.

Is there a way to make it work with something else than bfgminer?
2011  Economy / Services / Re: Anyone worth trusting for escrow besides TomatoCage ? on: February 17, 2014, 06:18:16 AM
CanaryInTheMine has been an excellent escrow I have used him a couple times and he has been doing it for a long time.

The last year and a half has been very shitty.  Ever since I got injured it's been a nightmare.
I keep waiting to hear the canned laughter of a studio audience sometimes because it feels like I'm trapped in some sitcom tv show.

sounds like a shitty life. you're in the right place.  Undecided
2013  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [SOLD OUT] 1.45 BTC Antminer S1 180GH/S Shipps on Feb 13 (Price Protection) on: February 17, 2014, 06:00:48 AM
You could always buy and ant miner and send it to me.  Wink
It does sound like you have to maybe spend the money on an electrician and get some upgraded outlets in a designated area then you can buy more mining gear based on what you want to do instead of power constraints.
Good luck I wish I had that problem.  The biggest piece of mining gear I own is a Gen 1 Avalon 3 module doing 73 gh/s.
I would love to get an ant S1 instead.  Less power and more output.

FYI each miner is making 0.04 BTC per day roughly

F**K   the difficulty just jumped to 3.1 today

Keep an eye here: http://bitcoinwisdom.com/bitcoin/difficulty

Good forecasts, you won't be surprised much.

KNC Neptunes and Black Arrow is in BIG trouble
Preorders...People never learn.

Yeah I made the mistake of going to the preorder well once too often.

I then compounded the mistake by not getting 4 of the ant s-1's  I only grabbed 2 of them.

I had and still have coin to spend.  I am now deciding what to do  next.

My problem is power.  I can 3000 watts in my garage  and I can do 1000 watts in a spare bedroom.

I have 3300 of the 4000 watts spent.  I would have loved to have ordered 2 more of the ants  I would be at my 4000 watt limit.

Now I need to sit back and decide if I want  build another litecoin miner with  a pair of r9 290's . or do nothing at all.

I would have preferred a second pair of ant miners over the litecoin miner.

the litecoin miners cost about 1100 to build but  they don't earn like they were earning.  Frankly they require more attention then the antminers.
2014  Other / Off-topic / Re: Terrible Day on: February 17, 2014, 05:24:32 AM
I cannot wait until tomorrow morning to see what my doctors are going to do.  Today was such a lost day.  I had to stay in bed most of it because I keep falling down.  I'm hurting so badly I'm still nauseous.
Hopefully they will know what the next step it.
I looked at my xrays and it looks like one disk is only about 25% the thickness of the other disks and this changed in the 4 weeks since I had a myelogram CT Scan.

So much uncertainty and unending pain.  I just want a break from it even if only for a while.

It's working for me I am on there now.

Is the website down?  I got a 404 error followed by a long time from 2 different North America locations.  Huh

Now a cloudfare 524 error.
2016  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Avalon Technical Support Thread on: February 17, 2014, 05:08:12 AM
I have one of the 70gh/s Gen 1 units.
I want to add a 4th module but I am cannot find them anywhere and if I did get one I am not sure how to install it as directions are lacking to say the least.
Does anyone know of a seller for the modules and directions on how to install it if I can source one?
Thanks
2017  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] Aluminum Casascius Coins with security stickers on: February 17, 2014, 04:32:25 AM
Thanks, I saw that deal pop up once I had posted.

How much for 5 shipped in the US?
Also would you send an instruction sheet with them as I have never setup something like them before?
Thanks

Done!

21 left.
Winterparker just reserved the rest of them a few minutes ago, my apologies. If the deal between him and I falls through, I will contact you. Thank you for the offer.

I'm glad it helped.
It is odd though as sometimes systems need a full discharge to function again but that is something that has gone on with windows for decades.
Enjoy and happy mining.

Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy
Thanks a lot! It worked. The GPU is now mining under MultiMiner with 460 kH/s.

I don't know why it worked now. I've shut down my computer many times and disconnected the power cord while checking the graphics card, but it never worked after that.
This time I disconnected the power cord and connected it again after 10 min.

Thanks again. You helped me so much!

Bye bye
