Copy coin? Fuck-ninja-premine coin (read about Bytecoin operating silently since 2012). I don't have a machine with a decent CPU. Does it mean I will forever banned of mining and will have to resort to buying? Talk about fairness. What about the increasingly growing mobile phone and tablet-only population? it's only fair that crappy hardware makes for poor mining... You have crappy hardware, you deserve to suck. You have a crappy job, you deserve to suck. Sound way too much like social darwinism to me. I don't believe crypto should follow the "rich get richer" scheme. On top of hurting most people sense of justice (and some animals too, experiment have been done on this, Economic inequality does more harm than good). I am in for the society, not just for my petty wallet. I refuse to accept as a fact that crypto must leave behind poor people. Very rough website online, monero.cc (in case you asked, the domain name was voted on IRC, like the crypto name and its code). Webdesigner, webmaster, writers... wanted. The way of voting shall be explained there

Relaunch with a GPU algorithm unless a Myriadcoin style PoW setup can be achieved. Name the last successful CPU only coin...it doesn't exist (no, Bitcoin doesn't count). Litecoin. Remember, Litecoin was done exactly for this purpose: GPU-hostile, that's why they used Scrypt ( source). As they said, they wanted it to be fair. Plus, remember that Cryptonote also has at least two other advantages: - ring signatures - no-fixed-limit (well, less than bitcoin) will there be any other changes? hard-fork with reduced emission? do you want to orginize smth like the "core dev team" or the "Secret Monero Community"? why does thankful_for _today as main dev doesn't participate in discussion? everything i see there is pretty strange. just like bytecoin (BCN) ATM, #bitmonero @freenode. We'll probably create a #monero channel eventually. When people try to CPU mine and earn 1 penny a day due to botnets, most people cease to bother doing so, and the coin dies from lack of interest. I don't have a machine with a decent CPU. Does it mean I will forever banned of mining and will have to resort to buying? Talk about fairness. What about the increasingly growing mobile phone and tablet-only population?

In the future each computer can only use up to 10,000 cinni for PoS minting.

Yes, that's a bargain at this moment

It's not Nextcoin mais Nxt.

Something that truly bothers me with crypto (any crypto, bitcoin included) is the poor distribution (Gini index). How to be give mintcoin to people who need them the most, that is, the one who are not in crypto yet?
I am thinking of having an address setup just for that (low price makes it easier to buy it) but there would still be the issue of having it simpler for anyone to download. I think the android wallet is the easiest way to go, much easier than a desktop wallet, I believe.
So once the Android wallet is done, we could start contacting our IRL friend a give them mint? I am wondering if it is difficult to send mintcoins for any new install (it would have to be automated, anyway)? This is the closest I can think of (out of airdrop, which is out of the question) to avoid giving to some who don't need it.
Thoughts?

Hello again, We have add some internal talk about the project and we decided this: Redwood reforestation project specifically: MoruzHEsSxBYDV8WWYTALuv5Rrccn1FAyP[/tt] Unique address for donation to the Mintcoin Fund as a whole MsKZ6xRSPJAVVJ7m1oZfNqVcpJ9MyvRzha[/tt] Unique address for 1% for operating costs: MsKZ6xRSPJAVVJ7m1oZfNqVcpJ9MyvRzha (normally, you should never have to send money there but at least you will know where the money goes - transparency)

I said I woud not post here again but exceptional circumstances lead to exceptional measures ( cross-posted on the Cynosure thread). You boast yourself as a great community? So prove it: ask vehemently two of your community members, mr_random and alphaminer21, to stop harassing the mintcoin community. We sticked by our word and the gentleman's agreement we agreed upon some weeks ago: no mintcoiners trolling/fudding/bashing on blackcoin thread anymore. No we ask you to remember your part of this commitment and to act as a community. Thank you. People can read my only post in the Mintcoin thread today here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=450381.msg6359013#msg6359013 Dramatic much lol. You guys were fudding this topic 10 times more than we ever did in yours. Now MINT is on it's last legs you want to be best friends. Sorry pal, best friend status went to doge. lol... I agree I am not really in the mood to sing kumbaya with the MintCoin community. They spread FUD about BlackCoin for weeks until we steamrolled over them and left them in the dust. However, if they all want to collectively dump their Mint and trade it in for BC I am okay with that This is not about the past. This is about the present. IconicExpert: some restraint is expected from someone representing a community as you are.

How to treat a troll: 1. Don't reply 2. Don't quote (by quoting them, you give them more visibility and reduce the point of ignoring) 3. Put him/her on the ignore list
That way, trolls are just a tiny pots in the ocean of the productive one. They get lost in the mass of posts.
Beaverslayer, were you the one maintaining this ignore list? Could you raise it up again?
